In June of this year, I took my Honda Civic in for repairs and an inspection. Actually, I had it towed in. They diagnosed the problem - a faulty fuel pump. It was an expensive job, but the vehicle hadn’t been driven much. Exactly 2 months later, the Civic didn’t start again. Replaced the battery (which the car needed). Still wouldn’t start. Removed the fuel filter. It was totally filthy. I called Speedee, told them I wasn’t happy. They sent a tow truck, put in another new fuel pump (they really had replaced the first one), but the car still wouldn’t start. They worked on it for about 2 weeks. Turns out, I had gotten some bad gas. They kept me informed during all this work, and only charged me for the new gas.I have been a long-standing customer. Will I go back? Definitely.

I had a wonderful experience with SpeeDee! Even though it was the end of the month and they were very busy, they were able to get everything I needed done (and there was a lot) pretty quickly. Everyone was friendly and professional and did a great job keeping me updated on what they were doing, especially Tez and another man whose name I wish I had gotten. They really went above and beyond! I will definitely be using them again!

Drop Car off at 10.20 to get oil change and an inspection guy name tez asked if I could wait he said for oil change yes inspection i am going to have to leave it okay I left at 400 I called they said it was ready went to pick up didnt do inspection tez had an attitude he said like he told the guy in the parking y had 3 ahead of us he was inspecting the 3 car and I told him IfIdidnt wanted to wait for it I told him if I didnt wanted to wait why would I leave it he then tells me like he told the other person we are nobody dont take you car to this place unprofessional

Staff is polite, service is fast, but the 17-point oil change is a lie. My car was not vacuumed, windows were not cleaned, tires were not checked, etc. I will not return to this Speedee, and probably none of the others because I already know the advertisement is false. Let the buyer beware. They may change their ways if enough dissatisfied customers speak out, but maybe its just certain people they cheat. Shalom.

I have been there many times for oil changes and was ok with the service. Now I found out my tires needed to be rotated and I needed an allignment. I now have to buy new tires. I really expect from the people that take care of my car to point this out to me and take care of things.

I went for a state inspection. I did have to come back 3 times because they were busy and the wait would have been 30-45 mins. On my 3rd try though, I got in immediately and was done right away. But each time I went, the staff was super friendly and easy going. Id go back there again to service my vehicle based on the excellent customer service.

They inspected my car, first come first serve and they were fast, but they tried to upsale me with a bunch of things that made sense to replace but not for an inspection. I understand they have to make money but this is not the way.

This place is freaking awesome. Staff is polite, honest, and helpful. I literally won’t go anywhere else in Roanoke for oil changes or overall car maintenance. I am always greeted IMMEDIATELY and they are usually very quick to get my car done. More specifically, I came In there one Saturday morning for an oil change and asked them to check to see if there was anything else that needed to be done for overall maintenance. NOT ONLY did they explain everything in terms that I understand, they lead me inside the shop to LITERALLY SHOW ME WHAT THEY WERE DOING. The service is unmatched. I cannot say enough good things. I WISH I knew the specific names of the guys but honestly they are all amazing and welcoming.

All staff members have always been very kind and will get you in and out as fast as possible. Wait times vary, of course, based on how busy they are, but regardless, they arent going to make you sit around and they dont waste any time. The waiting room is comfortable for being an auto shop. I feel like I was in and out of the parking lot for an oil change in about ten minutes today - awesome service.

Second time we attempted to get a state inspection this week! First time we were told they were done with inspections for the day (4pm). Today I attempted at 1pm (inspector on duty sign out at the road) and I’m told 2 hours before they can get the car in. There were no other cars there being serviced......! I do not suggest going here, because there’s a good chance they won’t want your business.

This is Vicki White, not sure why hubbys name showing. This afternoon I suddenly had a flat tire on my way to Dr appt &was able to get my car into Speed Dee Shop. When all said & done a nice mechanic was able to replace the tire with spare. He totally surprised me how quick he made the change& and I was on my way. He made my life so much better to get home especially when I wasnt feeling well. Thanks again for the kind gesture! Its greatly appreciated!

I arrived at Speedees at 7:55 to get my car inspected and was the first vehicle in line. When they opened at 8, the employee stated there was already a car ahead of me and that it would be an hour wait. Now mind you there were no other cars waiting, and within minutes other people came in and already started receiving services on their vehicles. Never again.

My wife and I stopped by Speedy on Electric road Saturday around 11:00 6/02/18 and was gruffly asked if we could be helped. I then told the guy I needed five 33 tires for my jeep. At the time we arrived, this guy was vacuuming a car. He said that he would be a few minutes and that we could wait inside. Nobody else was inside. l think about 10 minutes went by with no communication. So we got up and walked back out to my jeep and left. That guy saw us do so and never said a word to save the sale. I had cash in hand to buy about $1,200 worth of tires. Sorry, guys. Ive used you in the past with no problem but you need a new front man.

Showed up at 8:15 am for an oil change, tire rotation, and a Va state inspection. The bays were already full and said it would take about 2 hours. I was in and out in 1 hour 15 minutes. Josh, Tez, Zach and Will were a delight to talk with and all were professional and enthusiastic. I have now found my vehicle maintenance facility. Thanks Gents

Got an oil change from this place Thurs June 20 right after lunch. They were pretty fast, helped get me situated and finished my oil change in less than half an hour. Gentleman greeting and checking me out was friendly and even reminded me of a coupon on their website. Reasonable pricing as well, would go to them again.

I brought my car in to get my car inspected around 2:00 p.m. and didnt leave until 4:30 p.m. The car getting inspected before me was getting rejected so instead of accepting the rejection sticker he decides to go ahead and fix his car. I dont know much about cars but I dont understand why they could not have taken his car off the rack while waiting for this part, and inspect my car so I didnt have to wait. So they tell me they have to wait for the part to be delivered, which took an 1.5 hours, then when the part was dropped off another hour rolls by. So something that should have taken tops 30 minutes turned into 2 and a 1/2 hours. I understand this could have happened anywhere but damn. So the only reason Im giving it 2 stars is because the guys were really nice to me and Ive had a positive experience in the past with getting my oil changed there.

Very helpful staff. The wait lobby was great! And I was in and out in probably less than 15 mins. Loved how there are cameras to see what is going on with your car at all times and that my car was pretty much worked on right in front of me. Thanks for being awesome!

Drove up on a Thursday morning and decided to park my car close to the front door for a second while I went in to ask if there was a state inspector on duty so that I wouldn’t have to drag my small children out of the car only to find out they weren’t available. Within five seconds of getting out of the car to walk into the office to ask my quick question, one of the employees yelled at me “you can’t park there!!! I’m getting ready to drive right there!” Will never return to that place again.

Dropped my car off Friday for an inspection, told me it would be ready Monday morning. Monday rolls around and they tell me they cant inspect the car due to an expired rejected sticker on the vehicle //that they had already told me was fine Friday!// lost my car for 3 days for no reason. Theyre also very prone to sneaking repairs in and charging for things you didnt ask for! RUN FROM THIS PLACE!

New owner! Came in today and the service was absolutely fantastic. Very clean when I first walked in. I used the restroom and it was extremely clean. I definitely will be coming back.

Great service. I had my rear brakes replaced. They even took the time to walk me out to the shop and show me my old brakes before they replaced them.

I accidentally went the wrong place for an oil change, but Im really happy that I did. They got me in right away, topped up my fluids, vacuumed my floors, topped up tires with air, and referred me online to a $5 off coupon. It took 15 minutes, and they were really nice. They went above and beyond. Also, they didnt look homeless to me; they looked like all the other mechanics Ive dealt with.

Took one of our cars in for an oil change. The technician, Jordan, pointed out that since our last oil change was synthetic, it didn’t need an oil change for over 2000 more miles. He took care of everything else...tire pressure and a broken head light. GREAT JOB and saved us $!!!!

Took my 2015 Kia Optima in for a simple oil change. I supplied 2 quarts of my own Royal Purple and asked that 3 quarts of synthetic and a filter be billed. The total came to an outrageous $75.00, and when I asked about a reduction I was informed by the smug kid that there are no discounts for synthetic changes. I then asked for a disabled veteran discount and was given $5 dollars off. I will never go back, so good job on losing a customer. Also, the entire staff looked like homeless drug addicts that had not showered in a week, so avoid leaving anything of value in your car during the service.

The oil change and inspection only took a out 10 mins. The price was reasonable.

Arrived at ~8am for an inspection and was second in line. They told me to expect 1.5 hours. I was out in 53 minutes. Good experience, will return.

In some cases the dealer cost is less. Bad experience with an alignment that was incorrectly done. I noticed bad tire wear and had the alignment checked by another provider. All four wheels were very much out of alignment. Cost me new set of tires. New management now so the picture may have changed.

Got a tired repaired. Took 2 hours. They stopped working on my car to work on one that came in after mine. When I left, the ABS light stayed on. I called to ask why and they didnt know. My car gauge said there was 54 lbs of pressure in the tire they fixed. I checked with my gauge and it maxed out my gauge. I had to let air out to get it down to 37. When I called to tell them he said he uses a digital pressure gauge so it may need recalibration. You think? Wow. Updste - was promised a call from the owner but never got it. Also discovered they didnt put the right valve stem cap back on. Ours was silver with a blue top but they put an all black one on it.

Josh and his team saved my life today! My kids and I were traveling from Nashville to Baltimore and I started to noticed a shaky/bumpy noise when I resleased the excelarator . I had no idea what it was but I didn’t think it was safe to drive the 4 more hours I had left.I brought my car in on a Saturday morning and they were able to diagnose it quickly. My tires had not been secured properly by the last place I had look at my care just 4 days ago.Josh was able to diagnose and fix immediately! They are nice, know what they are talking about and extremely fair. I definitely recommended SpeeDee Midas in Roanoke for any of your car bees. Aka for Josh...he is the man!

I took my 1999 Ford Expedition there to get a mis-firing problem and a ticking noise to be fixed. I was only there for about 45 minutes and they also did a tune up for me. Has been running great ever since!

Showed up 30 mins before closing, manager refused to change my oil. Okay I can maybe understand not wanting to change my oil so close to closing. But what got me was how the manger keep crusing me. I asked his name to report him... His reply I quit.

SpeeDee was the 3rd auto service shop I went to on Saturday morning trying to find someone to check a leak in my tire. The first 2 wouldnt even look at it. They explained that there were 2 oil changes in front of me. After 15 mins, they checked my tire and explained why it couldnt be patched, while showing me the damage. They put my spare tire on and didnt charge me. Fast, friendly and will return for future service needs.

Called one day for an inspection while on the way there. Was told there would be an hour to hour and a half wait. Pulled up minutes later and was told 4 hours. Dropped my car off the next day. 5th in line they said, 3 or 4 hours. 9 hours later I picked up my car with no inspection done. No communication on their end either. I had to call for every update.

Drove my vehicle to this location last Friday (9/6/19), and arrived at 745 am; they opened doors a few minutes later where I found out I was not the first in line, the employee took my information and within a minute or so there were several of us waiting-another employee came into the lobby to ask each one of us what we needed-I advised again, an oil change and state inspection, the employee than said it would be a three hour wait--was I waiting there or leaving my vehicle? I told him I would leave my vehicle, then I walked out and went home as I live 5 minutes away. I received a call prob an hour and a half later at home, stating they had found a light bulb out, I agreed to get this fixed; I also asked about the oil change and a tire pressure concern I had--I was advised it would be taken care of and the vehicle would be ready in 30-45 minutes. I walked back later to pick up my vehicle and noticed no customers in the lobby; I briefly waited to pay and an employee came out who I thought was rude to check me out; it wasnt really what he said, it was how he said it and his demeanor that was rude; the bill came to over 80.00 where I then advised this man that I had the online coupon, he scanned my phone and stated the new lower price and off I went without so much as a goodbye or thank you--I actually thanked him which I later thought wow, I am thanking this worthless person for ME giving his employer MY business which in turn provides him a job! Based on his attitude, I did not confirm that my tires had been checked or anything I just left. I looked at my receipt and noticed they marked the windshield/windows had been cleaned and the inside vacumned--this DID not Happen--I cannot believe they would lie especially being on camera now with something as trivial as that--so when I see that, questions start popping in my head--did they even check the tires? Or even do an oil change--if so, was it done properly? The only thing 100% completed was the inspection. My point of all this, is have your employees learn how to deal with customers and do the job as promised; play the game and actually thank people for coming in--if this would happen it would be great!

Then said if I came back they would be nice this time. Id give this place 0 stars if Google would let me. Go to the Speedee in salem, they are much better people.

They’re very slow at simple things especially state inspections, it’s evident they don’t want to do these since these don’t make the store much money. I waited 3 hours for a state inspection while other oil changes took priority and I was left waiting.

Came in to get their 17 point oil change. It was speedee, however, didnt vacuum car or print out the oil change sticker reminder. Asked about the vacuum and was told they dont work and the owner was cheaping out on them. Hand wrote the sticker with the mileage on it after the change. Greasy finger prints on the door and all over the hood. Sloppy job, will not go back.

I was told they could do a coolant flush on my 2010 Taurus SHO. The young man answering the phones was polite and he remained polite and apologetic; he is the only reason you have 2 stars instead of 1. After about 30 minutes In the lobby I was told they couldn’t do the coolant flush because things were “glued and taped together under the hood”. It was quite an exaggeration. So you can’t perform a service because of items completely unrelated? The same employee that made that call also turned away someone else while I was there. There were only 2 cars in the service bays.. With a stressed out attitude he listed the long list of inspections and typical shop related tasks before sending him off as well. Career change maybe ? Unfortunately I won’t be giving you guys another shot.. between the wrong oil being put in the car once before and now this waste of time, I can’t recommend anyone go there unless you’re desperate.
