There are few health-related appointments that I look forward to. Boston Mountain Optical is a total exception. Dr. Lynch is professional and efficient, shows wonderful knowledge about his craft, and is always willing to explain the details if you have questions. He’s also honest, and never pushes you to get new glasses if your prescription hasn’t changed that much.Patrick manages the glasses sales in most of my visits, and let me add that he is freaking delightful, too. He listens to your preferences, makes smart and honest recommendations, and is incredibly patient as you (or I anyway) fumble around from one pair to the next. There’s not a salesperson in all of Arkansas that I like more.Also, I should add that this business takes COVID seriously. It’s been a pleasant surprise as most places in the region have let their guard down. It’s a great place for those with kids or elderly friends they worry about and want to keep safe.Finally, let me note that I had an eye doctor in the region, but stopped here one time just to look for glasses. They were so helpful and personable that I made the switch in a heartbeat. You’ll feel the same way.

The paperwork is done beforehand while scheduling the appointment, so there is a seamless experience upon entry. Their offering is comprehensive; using quality tech and explaining the process and findings along the way. Dr. Lynch makes you feel welcome and heard, recommending the proper adjustments and why they matter. The choices for frames and lens are trendy, and I left with a set of glasses considerably better (prescription, quality, & looks) than the ones I entered with. So I had an appointment, and showed up early for it, and they got me in straight away. I wasn’t able to see the doctor right away but the other staff made me feel right at home. The receptionist was as kind as she could be, helped me fill out paperwork, and then another gentleman helped me find a pair of glasses that I liked. He was patient and let me try on as many as I wanted. He even gave me his opinion on which ones looked good or not, and I could tell he was being honest. Then when I went back for my exam, the doctor asked me plenty of questions to make sure we got everything just right and he even gave me some eye drops and a copy of my prescription in case I wanted to get eyewear some place else! I will definitely recommend all my friends see the people at this office!!! Thanks again, y’all were amazing!!!!

Dr. Lynch was great with my 11 year old. Made her feel comfortable and explained everything to her throughout the exam. She was thrilled that they have a machine to see behind the eye instead of eye drops to make your eyes dilate. That is something that always stressed my kids about about going to the eye doctor. I would highly recommend them for kids and adults.

Wife loves the place, so I tried it. Its indeed a lovely office with friendly people who I value on a personal level. They just cant get me simple age-related reading glasses. After an examination that felt rushed, they bumped my prescription from 0.75 way up to 3.5, resulting in glasses that only let me see things exactly 10 inches away from my face. I showed them the standard reading glasses I got from CVS while struggling to use theirs, which have a strength of 1.5 and work great for me. The assistant refused another examination, didnt let me talk directly to the doctor, and ordered another pair. These new glasses create a strong blur at any distance, I assume from a fix for optical aberration they mistakenly think I have. Given how well my CVS reading glasses work for both eyes, I insisted this time to speak directly to the doctor and getting a better examination. The assistant refused both and returned my money. Cant recommend this unprofessional place.

Yesterday I switched eye doctors. I had been going to a doctor at a large surgery center for years. I finally became fed up with being treated like a number instead of a patient. Fortunately, a colleague recommended Boston Mountain Eye Care. Wow!! What a difference- beginning with my first phone call to the office.I am So pleased with the “culture” and professionalism of BMEC. Dr. Lynch has a “whole body” approach to treating the eye. He is knowledgeable and took time to ensure I was informed about the results of my exam and additional scans, and, his recommendations on how to treat my multilayered eye problems. He and his staff make a great team. I’m glad they are now on my eye health team!!

COVID 19 cleaning and distancing and masks in use. All of the staff were absolutely fantastic and the Doctor was awesome. Very thorough, explained everything very well, and made sure I didnt have any questions or problems. Very down to earth, we laughed and joked together. First eye doctor Ive ever seen do the eye exam and then followed me all the way through process of picking out the frames, and lenses, and was conscious about what my insurance covered versus my out of pocket expense. Definitely highly recommended!

A great place where you dont feel like just another patient. Dr. Lynch and his staff take time to explain everything about the examinations and discuss your eye health. Having had a wet macular degeneration in my past, he paid particular attention to that, checking on the condition of that area and recommending proactive measures to help keep any reoccurrences in check. Very personable and I felt like they genuinely cared. The office also is taking very active measures to protect themselves and patients in this Covid era. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

And abruptly hung up I do not recommend just based on this encounter!!!!***** Customer beware********If you leave a bad review you will be contacted about your post and be told in the nicest of ways that you are wrong lol I’m still in shock I was called about my review never doing business here or recommending it to anyone! I’ve been going to BMEC for years and have always been extremely happy with the staff, customer service and attention to detail - above and beyond!! I love that it is a small, local establishment but still has “big city style”. Patrick curates an inventory of frames unlike anything in NWA, and is the BEST personal stylist!I recently went in for my exam during the Covid 19 pandemic. They are staying on top of all the precautions and I felt 100% safe. Recommend 10/10!!!

I havent had a routine eye exam in a long time and with me having a few problems with my vision lately, I needed to find an eye doctor to go to. I google searched and BMEC was one of the ones that came up. With all the good reviews I decided to give them a try! I was not disappointed. The whole experience was great. Dr. Lynch did a great job explaining everything thoroughly and Patrick was such a great help when it came to picking out frames! Briana was also helpful and sweet as well. Social anxiety has ran rampant in my mind since waaaay before covid hit...partially why I waited 2 years between eye exams. After splitting headaches and being unable to, ya know, see, I bit the bullet and made an appt with BMEC. Back to the anxiety piece, phone calls feel like an invasion and calling clinics? Forget about it. Enter the quick and easy online scheduler, and the best receptionist ever Brianna who TEXTED me same day to talk insurance so it was one less thing I had to deal with when I arrived. Hallelujah. When it was appt time I was warmly greeted by Brianna who promptly took my temperature & got me checked in in record time (all the while being thorough and gracious). Dr. Ben was ready for me immediately, no wait time at all (what magical world have I stepped into). He was so kind, knowledgeable, down to earth, helpful, engaging. After a lovely, comfortable visit it was time to pick out frames with Patrick, a possible actual angel, who’s calm countenance worked well with my high strung vibe😂. He took every precaution as far as handling the glasses and letting me try on anything I wanted. We sat and chatted after I picked out the winning pair, he was a true delight. Look, I’ve been in the service industry since the dawn of time, I’m very familiar with good, bad, meh & exceptional service, and this place exceeded any preconceived expectations, went above and beyond, and provided me with a phenomenal first & lasting impression. I will never miss a yearly check up again if it means I get to spend a part of my day with this delightful team of professionals...highly HIGHLY recommend.

I love everything about this clinic! I called for an appointment on a Tuesday at about 1400, and was scheduled for that Wednesday at 1345 . Less than 24 hours to be seen!Everyone is extremely kind and patient, and Dr. Lynch never rushes your visit, but is very efficient, and Ive never waited very long there.The clinic is also adorable! Super well kept. I love all their plants.They have a good selection of stylish name brand frames, and theyve never given me grief for asking for my prescription and PD. (Ive been told by a clinic in Conway that they add-on a $5 fee for your PD.)I always recommend the team at Boston Mountain Eye Care to anyone that asks. Never been happier with an optometrist.

Im glad I found this jewel of a place! The staff is incredible! All of them! Dr. Ben was so friendly and happy to help. I took FOREVER trying to decide on a pair of glasses! Patrick was so helpful and tolerated my indecision so patiently. He has an amazing selection of frames so Ill probably end up getting two pairs. Anyway, if you have eyeballs that dont see so well or if you have eyeballs at all, you should give them a visit!

Moved here from the east coast and its been numerous years since my last eye exam. I am used to going to a national chain eyeglass store. I decided to try this out based on the reviews. Dr. Ben was extremely personable and very helpful. He explained everything from the procedures he was performing, to desired outcomes, to the results. Most comprehensive eye exam I have ever received. Im used to a larger selection of frames, however, the selection was not bad at all. Very please with my visit and looking forward to my new glasses.

Ive gone to three different eye doctors in Fayetteville and this was by far the best experience Ive had. The staff is amazing, friendly, and helpful. It was a quick, yet extremely productive visit. They also take advantage of modern tech, which I personally really appreciate. To be able to text the doctor and let him know how my new contracts Rx is working out is pretty awesome.

First time I went to Boston Eye Care, I got the prescription and went to a different optical store and they made the glasses according to the prescription. After using the new glasses I wasn’t able to see clearly. I called Boston Eye Care and they saw me again but now they gave me a different prescription. Now I have to pay again to get new glasses because of their mistake. The doctor rudely said, “if you would have bought the glasses from me the first time when you the got prescription then I would have fixed your glasses for free.” He missed the logic that if he would have given me the right prescription the first time I wouldn’t have to pay double time and having this trouble which is not needed. How is this ethical?

I came in needing an eye exam and contact lenses and happen to be unisured! Not a minute passed after handing in my papers was I directed to an exam room and seen by Dr. Ben Lynch. I just *adore* Dr. Ben. He was able to diagnose that I was over prescribed in my contacts. I had no idea about it, and since changing my prescription, my persistent headaches are gone. The office is small, and the entire staff treat you like a dear friend the second you walk in. When you call the phone is answered by a person, not some answering machine with push for directories.The best part is that Dr. Ben takes the time in your appointment to explain what hes testing and why, then he explains if the test is covered by insurance, and gives you an opportunity to decline something with no pressure and no questions asked. At my last visit he was helping the another patient get her glasses picked out, he gave her options for her lenses, the prices for the options, and what was or wasnt covered by insurance. He even advised her that a less expensive lens would benefit her more. Not many business owners advise customers to spend less money, clearly Dr. Ben has his patients best interest at heart, not profits.

While Dr. Ben is quite courteous, his optical department representative, Patrick, is incredibly unprofessional.I read the many positive reviews and decided to give them my business upon relocating to Fayetteville. Unfortunately, however, after being very deliberate in communicating my needs to Patrick, he over-promised the quality of their product. I went back to communicate the issues I was having and Patrick was neither apologetic nor helpful in correcting the issue. He claims that he had the glasses redone; however, there was no improvement whatsoever when I went to pick them up. Dr. Ben overheard my conversation with Patrick and was trying to advocate for me by pressing Patrick for solutions. Patrick took an indifferent tone and just continued responding to Dr. Ben with I dont know. Dr. Ben stood behind their product and stated that he would refund me. I responded stating that I wasnt seeking a refund... just glasses that would work for my needs.After over a week of waiting for their solution with no follow up from them, I called back to speak with Dr. Ben. Unfortunately, he was unavailable and I was stuck speaking with Patrick again. Patrick had no idea if they found a solution and told me he would have Dr. Ben call me when he got into the office. After hours of not hearing back, I reached out to my insurance provider to get clarification on how a refund works. My insurance provider conferenced Patrick on the call and Patrick was incredibly antagonistic. At that point, I asked to process the refund and Patrick took the position that they would not do business with me anymore. I dont know if he speaks for Dr. Ben on that concept, but it doesnt matter since I would never return as long as Patrick is the optical lab representative.I would encourage anyone reading this to use caution in taking any recommendations from Patrick. I will be looking for my refund and update this review if I have further issues with this process.

Dr. Ben and his staff genuinely understand customer service. Unlike most doctors, seeing as many customers as possible and making as much money as possible. He takes as much time with each patient as necessary to serve them best and nothing less. I couldnt recommend BME more!

Hands down the best optometrist in Fayetteville Arkansas. I have been to three or four throughout the years and Dr. Lynch provides the best service of anyone, bar none in the industry. His service is second to none he called and emailed me over a weekend when my daughter had pink eye if that isnt great service then I dont know what is. Ben is great with kids and I highly recommend him to anyone who needs an optometrist in the Northwest Arkansas area.

These guys are very approachable and awesome. They catered to my needs and were very educative. Optometrist is very knowledgeable in his field. Im very impressed with his skills, and ability to cater to the patient needs. Highly recommended.

Great experience! The doctor was super friendly and worked with me until I was completely satisfied with my prescription. They also had a great selection of glasses. Would highly recommend!
