I rented a one way truck going from Dublin to Montana, and found that they put in the wrong windshield cleaner on the way there. While driving on a two-lane highway, a semi pulled in front of me and splashed dirt all over the window, making it impossible to see. The windshield cleaner was frozen (they should have used the kind good for 20 below), so I couldnt clean the windshield. There was no room to pull off to the side of the road, and cars were everywhere going 70 mph. I could have been killed or killed someone else. Do not rent a truck from Penske. They do not take safety seriously.[EDIT] I called the number listed in the comment and was routed through various recordings and 4 different people. They told me they needed a few minutes to review and would call me back in 10 minutes. Its now been nearly three hours.Thanks to the pickup location for actually being helpful. The rest of Penske seems to be fairly incompetent. I stand by my original statement. Do not rent a truck from Penske.
