Jennifer went above and beyond to ensure we got the couch we wanted when it wasnt available at this location which is totally appreciated, she called around and was able to lock it downfor us. Furniture is expensive, so any time, you can pick up quality merchandise at a fair price, you have to jump on it. At the Az Mills store, I got the sofa and love seat that I wanted at a great price. So I went ahead and purchased a king size bed to go with it. Assistant manger Jon Martinez was knowledgeable, friendly and fair. He helped me pick out exactly what I wanted and needed. We had a great experience at American freight furniture and mattress in Tempe. We were in the mall shopping for other things and we decided to stop in and look at the furniture. Jennifer did an excellent job in helping us find furniture and a mattress within our budget and the items met our expectations for quality.All pricing and add-ons were explained carefully and at no time were we forced or pushed into buying anything.The store was well organized and clean and all the staff was friendly.We would definitely recommend American freight furniture to my friends and anyone who reads us.

The selection was not great. For this location being an Outlet, the appliances were very expensive. I found better deals at Home Depot and Lowes.

Service is deplorable. Came here to buy a washer, but the personnel are unfriendly and pretty much unhelpful at the same time.If Sears is expecting their outlet to sell better, they should think about changing their employees or maybe hiring polite ones.All in all, a low class place with demo and used junk. I could probably describe more about the employees, but Ill let anyone who has time and patience to come here then decide for themselves.

Something that was sold to us as a “scratch and dent” has turned into a nightmare and lemon.We purchased a built in refrigerator November 2017 in Black Friday, knowing we were building a brand new house and we’re supposedly getting a great deal. With a few minor cosmetic flaws, we thought our $4300 expense was a good deal and purchased an extended 3 year warranty for $500 as extra coverage. Fast forward to a week later, we had our refrigerator installed after moving out of storage and found the refrigerator would not cool down and freezer wouldn’t get lower than 10 degrees and wouldn’t make ice.- 6/18- We called the Sears extended warranty who sent a tech (joe) out and when he open the grill he immediately said someone “tampered” with the valve and voided the manufacturers warranty and there was a leak somewhere. He proceeded to say that he would have had GE come fix, but whoever had the fridge before voided everything. Side note, he said don’t purchase anything from the outlet because now it’s our problem. He ordered two parts, a dryer and valve and scheduled to “fix” on 6/28/18.- In reviewing the paperwork, the Sears outlet guarantees the manufacture warranty for their products as well as they will do not sell any lemons. We called Sears outlet (6/19) and spoke with Terri who remembered us from the sale as well as delivering the refrigerator. We explained our concern of what we were sold and the current situation. He said that he needed to speak with his district manager to figure out what to do. He proceeded to tell us that we had a warranty and everything should be covered... My response was, “yes, that I paid for the warranty, my concern is the manufacture warranty is now voided and our paperwork clearly states it came with one.” He told us he would call us back and we would figure this out together. Since it was a GE Monogram, we decided to have them come out and confirm the warranty was voided with the valve.- 6/21 GE tech came out and confirm the valve that was put on to the closed system was in fact not correct and no longer had a manufacture warranty. He stated he wasn’t even aloud to touch the refrigerator. He stated the closed system typically has a 12 year warranty and it was no longer valid with the valve that was placed on it.- 6/21 we called Terri back who said he was “still working on it.” After telling them the feedback from not only the Sears tech but the GE tech, he said he didn’t necessarily want to take a $4800 refrigerator back. He was going to have the manager pull the files for the refrigerator and see what notes were listed and would call us back, “but may take a few days.”- Fast forward to 6/24 no return call from Terri or anyone else. Called 6/24 and he said we should call back tomorrow after 1 and speak with Shauna but rest assured “they are still working on it.”Not one time has anyone ever called us back. Not only did we spend a lot of money on a refrigerator with no manufacture warranty that was guaranteed, but we were most definitely sold a lemon. We were sold something that clearly was marketed as one thing and was not. The service and response (or lack of) is unacceptable and blows my mind they get away with this. Will be escalating to the next level with Sears corporate as well as disputing the charge on my card.

First of all the store is now owned and managed by American Freight Warehouse, not Sears Outlet. I Purchased a washer and dryer 4/27/2020. They were delivered on 4/28/2020. At delivery the “technicians” tested both items. The dryer made a loud sound; but was getting hot as expected. I was told to let it run. They also offered to take it with them, but stated the store could assist me if it was still an issue. The noise subsided. I went to use my appliances for the first time the evening of 5/4/2020 and the dryer was making the same noise. I called the store on the morning of 5/5/20 and informed Martha of the issue. She told me to bring my receipt into the store and they would exchange it. I drove over a half an hour just to be told by Paul, allegedly the assistant manager, that I could not return the dryer. Instead I had to call GE for support. Paul had also informed me at the time of purchase that I could contact them at the store directly if I had any issues after I received the appliances.UPDATE: The same day this feedback was provided, I received a message from the store manager Shauna. She apologized and explained that there was a misunderstanding that resulted in me being misinformed. She allowed me to exchange my dryer and had the new one delivered the following day. Since then I have not had any issues. I appreciate Shauna and Martha for working together to resolve this issue and restore my trust in this company. I will add that I also chose to purchase the extended warranty as another means of protection in the event anything else happens. If you purchase anything from an outlet store, please make surety protect your investment! If Shauna is still there, I will definitely consider purchasing here again.

The team at Sears Outlet is wonderful. They have aisles and aisles of appliances and home furnishings (and my kids love the toys, games and small electronics). Instead of wandering aimlessly, their helpful staff talked to me about what I wanted and helped me find exactly the right deal. My wife loves her new fridge, I like the value, and the kids are happy they can get their own glass of water.

I went for a great deal on appliances. They are charging nearly retail price for severely cosmetic challenged refrigerators. Looks like they fell off the truck-Im not paying 2K for a refrigerator that retails for $1800 brand new. Taking advantage of those that are credit challenged is terrible

Sharon goes over and beyond to make sure my investors and I are taken care of in finding us really good products for a reasonable price that’s on the floor. We got a great deal on our new refrigerator that weve been looking for for months and we found it for the best price at this Sears Outlet. All the other employees, such as David was also really helpful. He even informed us as we loaded up our refrigerator that it had to remain upright before plugging it in. He said 24 hours, but when we looked into why, we found it should only be for the amount of time it was on its side and if it has been multiple days, 24 hours. But still, we had never known to even wait at all before plugging it in - so that was extremely helpful. All in all, we had a great experience!

We originally bought a Kenmore Elite from the Gilbert location. They set it up and by the next morning the refrigerator had frozen everything inside it. We called the store after several attempts finally got someone and they sent us to a call center number. Got a tech out here and he ordered the needed part. 12 days later the part shows up and its the wrong part. The call center then tells us the right part is back ordered and could take months to get. We tried several times to reach the store to exchange it. No luck reaching Gilbert store, but got the Tempe. They quickly helped us get a solution and we were able to pick out a replacement and have it delivered quickly. They took a bad experience and turned it around. Specially Jay at the Tempe location was awesome.

Lots of fridges to choose from, they need more people working there because the TWO employees they had on hand were completely overwhelmed, but otherwise it was a great experience. I went in with a list of what I needed and I was taken care of within an hour. Most of that time was me choosing one fridge from row after row of avail fridges. The gentleman helping me was very knowledgeable and steared me to the best fridge for the most reasonable price. I had a great experience overall.

I had given a 1-star review for the refusal of Sears to honor its warranty, because my dishwasher didnt have a sticker where it was supposed to. Mr. McCandless, the District Manager, stepped in and offered to help by simply swapping out my unit for a new one. He directed me to Shana and Jay and the Tempe store, and they were both very helpful. I brought mine in and carried out a unit of about the same list price. I installed it and it is working quite well. I recognize that this is primarily a judgement about the Tempe Sears Outlet, not about Sears or its warranty, so I adjusted my rating to a 4. (One cant completely separate the local store from the company as a whole.) I would recommend that anyone who has trouble with their warranty go directly to their outlet, rather than to Sears. They appear to be much more service-driven.Original:I bought a Kenmore dishwasher from them a couple years ago, and paid for the warranty. I have had problems with it. When I called to have someone come out to fix it, they tried to tell me that the reason that the heat would not go on and that the water would not flow, was because I was not using a rinse aid. I demanded they send someone out, which apparently triggered a legal trip wire, so they sent someone out. The guy they sent out had a 1 pm to 5 pm window. He didnt arrive until 4:30 pm, even after calling and saying he would be there at 3:00. When he got there, he refused to work on it, because it apparently never had the proper model and serial number sticker. His boss backed him up on it, and I called Sears about it. After 3 transfers I got to someone who said that my only option was to get a refund on the warranty, but they couldnt do that until the service call cleared the system. So basically, they were willing to take my money, unless something actually happened to the dishwasher. Now its going to cost me a boatload more to fix the dishwasher than the warranty cost me. Im not even sure now if it is worth fixing the thing. Two years of marginal operation.

Shopped here last Saturday. Found the refrigerator that I was looking for but it took an extremely long time. The systems were up and down and it was extremely hot in there. I was sweating. There were several customers. The employees there have to endure a very high 90 degree temperature on a regular basis and that is deplorable. Thats no way to treat employees. Considering the work conditions they were doing the best they could. How can the computer systems work in high heat--no wonder the systems were down.

We purchased an Open Box washer that had a problem. We called Sears repair services to have it serviced, and they could not rectify the problem. When I contacted the store manager Shawna, she immediately offered to exchange it out for another unit of the same quality. Shortly thereafter, she had a brand new unit delivered and pick-up the broken one. Even though the new unit was priced higher, Shawna did not bill me for the cost difference to make-up for all the troubles we had experienced. Shawna and this Sears Outlet really stood behind their products and sale! Thank you!!

Its about what Id expect for an outlet store. The staff was very nice. Said they are getting bought by another company and their name will change soon. Having Sears in the name is confusing anyway since they havent been affiliated with Sears since 2012. Sears has completely left AZ it seems.

It was extremely busy when I went in, but all associates involved in my customer service were professional, courteous, and thorough. Shani even neglected a conference call to help me, and Martha was polite and knowledgeable. Would recommend, will come back.

I was greeted the moment I came through the door by Tevin. He let me take my time and look around and waited until I made my choices. He was very knowledgeable about the items I was interested in and when I made my choices for a refrigerator and a dishwasher he drew up the paperwork and took care of everything. What a pleasure it was dealing with him and Shani. Im very highly satisfied with this shopping experience! I will be back. Thanks!
