I would have agreed with the positive reviews until this summer; they have taken care of my Jeep for years. They always have it for 4-6 weeks at a time which is very inconvenient but Ive lived with it. However, this time, theyve had it for about 6 weeks after we scheduled a time to bring it in. We were told parts needed to be ordered and it would take a couple weeks. Then we were told it would be done by the end of the week (that was after they had it for 3 1/2 weeks). The next week we were told they found something else that needed to be repaired. Finally, after they had it for almost 6 weeks, they said they hoped to get started on it in about a week. Thats right, folks, they never even touched it. On top of that, I go to pick it up and the top has been slashed and repaired with packing tape. So, they had the Jeep for almost 6 weeks, never touched it, and couldnt be bothered to tell us it had been vandalized. It cost me almost $1000 for them to lie to me for over a month.

Have been treated fairly, and priced very reasonable prices on repairs , Id send my mother or grandmother here and never loose a minutes sleep . Had state inspections done here many times , never an issue . Always treated like a friend not a customer .

Been going to Bob and the guys at 5th Street Automotive for about 15 years now. They took a job that the Ford dealership quoted $600 and realized the dealer was wrong and took care of it for $90. They check things out and dont charge extra for checking things, and they never try to add on stuff to what I needed done. They respect old cars and are fantastic to deal with. Youre paying a fair price for your repairs because youre not paying for fancy lounge areas or vending machines. I take all my vehicles there and recommend them all the time!

Ive been taking my car here for several years now. Nothing too major, just minor repairs/maintenance. Bobby and his staff are good, honest people who get the job done in a timely manner. They dont try to tack on extra charges like other places do. I wont take my car anywhere else.

We came here for a inspection. Our mechanic does not do them. They failed the inspection stating we needed a ball joint on the right side. Then quoted a price of 800.00 and that theyd do the work. We stated we have a mechanic that hed do it. So we had our mechanic do it..250.00 btw. For him to do it. So we took it back to 5th Street..again tthe owner failed it. Saying he told us both sides needed done. We stated our mechanic checked both and they are fine. He said the work was not properly done and again quoted a price for them to do it. Then we said we wanted to go to a different inspection station for another opinion. Then he got mad..yelled at us. .refused to let us leave by standing in front of our vehicle stating he would call the state police in us because it was illegal for us to leave his lot since he failed the inspection. We finally got out if there to another inspection station. Told them what happened and asked them to double check for a second opinion and if they did find 5th Street was right wed get it repaired and come back. They said there us absolutely nothing wrong with your ball joints. They noted they seen new one that had just been done the day before and checked the rest while doing the inspection. Guess what..it passed.

I have been taking my car there every year for car inspections although they are busy, they usually work me in, the staff is friendly, I dropped my car off and didnt have a way back home, I of was one going to walk, one of the staff volunteered and gave me a ride.
