This dealership is very unique. I felt like I was in control of my purchase. I’ve bought multiple vehicles from this dealership and each time I tell Donnie Shelton which vehicle I want and he makes sure I get that vehicle. Donnie, Mark and Terry are absolutely wonderful. I am so happy to have found a dealership that works with their customers. I will be back. I love my new 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Overland. Only rating a 5 for Patrick Taylor! Go straight to this guy. Patrick went out of his way to get two vehicles ready for us and was more than awesome helping and answering any questions. Unfortunately we found a better deal at a different dealership. Finding the right car is hard right now.. options are slim right now. Though I wanted to make this review to praise Patrick and the service he provides. Personality and talent is hard to find in any work force right now and this guy deserves some recognition.Berglund almost lost us as a customer over some service issues on an older vehicle but Patrick salvaged it. Had the right vehicle been in his lot in would of bought with him.

EDIT: Thank you Mr. Austin for actually listening to me. It makes a big difference.In September, I had a check engine light appear, so I took my Jeep to Berglund. My jeep had been acting up, lurching on take off and struggling to change gears. Supposedly resetting the code would take care of it. Another error was also found;I had both fixed, for 2x the fees/cost. I thought it was finally fixed. It was not. My jeep continually got worse. It got stuck in between gears as I tried to cross the highway; I had to coast to a median, turn the jeep off and restart it before I could drive it. Same check engine light came on. I left a voicemail at Berglund Service that was never responded to. Actually reached them after another phone call, and took it back to them, who found yet two more different codes; this time I was charged for one more diagnostic fee and told I needed a new transmission. Of course I wanted a second opinion. I took my Jeep to a transmission specialist who quickly found that my fluid levels were extremely low! Because it was so low, the jeep couldnt smoothly change gears, thus causing the various bad codes. The transmission shop poured in two quarts, and ever since my jeep has been driving smoothly. How can a Jeep service provider fail to do the most rudimentary service check?! In September, that should have been the first thing checked. And again when I had to come back weeks later, why wasnt that one of the first things looked at? Instead I was given an outrageous quote for a new transmission that I hopefully wont need, but who knows since Ive been driving on low fluid for a month. I never should have had to bring my Jeep back for a second time (and more fees), if they had done the appropriate work the first time. Hard lesson to learn. Wont happen again.

First of all I want to say our salesman was great but it was downhill after the test drive. Beware of the finance manager. That man has no ethics in my opinion! He ignored our requests and was only concerned about selling add on features. He attemptted to wear us down so we would give in. He lied to us on a couple of things and did it all with a smile. We almost walked out and should have! We will never do business there again!

I can’t explain the frustration that I have with this place. I am a pretty calm, go with the flow, type of person but I’m furious. It seems like they don’t care at all about their customers . I had two separate appointments with them. Both of them went badly. The first time I was there for 2 hours to get my radio fixed just to be told they had to order a new one. Then got a call the next day that they had to take my radio out of my Jeep to get a code (why they didn’t get the code when I was there the first time I don’t know) so I made a second appointment and when I got there at my appointment time they had no record of me or why I was there. I had to restate why I was there and they wanted to recheck my radio for the problem. (Basically doing my first appointment all over again) Finally they understood and I was there 2 hours while they took out my radio to get the code. Its been a week and a half later and I just received a call that I needed to come in once again to get the code off my radio!!! I informed them that I already did that in my last appointment and I was told they had no record of getting the code! They are so disorganized and seems like they enjoy wasting other people’s time! I’m not going back there again and recommend that you don’t either.

I had a rental that I loved for a week, loved it and decided it was what my wife and I needed. I contacted James Hunt regarding vans and although they did not have one he went to work to find one. During this time my wife was admitted to ICU and eventually home with hospice on the day I picked the van up. Walter (manager) and staff were kind and supportive throughout the days processes. I had an excellent experience with the purchase of my 2018 BMW 430i x-drive. James Hunt was the salesman and was very easy to work with. They gave me a loaner car when I needed it. The price was fair and they weren’t pushy about buying a bunch of extra things like an extended warranty and other type of coverage. It was a very easy transaction. I absolutely love Berglund Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram. I was searching a Jeep (which is my dream car) I searched everywhere and ran across a shinny red Jeep on their lot on CarGurus. It was right in my price range and I just had to have it. Patrick Taylor reached out to me and answered all questions I had. We did pretty everything over the phone since I live about an hour and 45 away. He kept me informed every step and once I was approved he called an congratulated me. I was scheduled to come down on a Saturday to sign and ride off in the sunset with my Jeep. Due to an issue on my end I didn’t drive off but I came and signed papers and took a look at the vehicle. These guys are amazing! I was visiting the area from Michigan and broke down not too far from this place. I had my Jeep towed there. The maintenance department wasnt opened on Saturday (Easter weekend). I was pretty upset because I didnt know what to do and really didnt want to stay until Monday to have it fixed. I was visiting with the car salesmen and they told me they thought it was just the battery. Donnie went to find tools and took my battery out. I got a ride to the parts store to get a new one. Sure enough that is what it was and I was able to make it back home to Michigan that night. They really didnt have to help me, but they did anyway, out of the kindness of their own hearts. My daughter and I think it was a blessing that we met them and they were more than willing to help us. We will never forget it. Thank you so much to the guys at Berglund, especially Donnie.

Called to confirm my truck appointment I scheduled over a month ago to find out I wasnt in the system, so whoever gave my appointment must have never entered it at all. I spoke with a gentleman who seemed to careless about making it right or really helping me. The gentleman talked over me and wouldnt let me speak. I wasnt treated like a customer but an inconvenience or a number.

I made the mistake of stopping by the lot and looking at a new Dodge truck while on my way to another appointment, just burning time. After speaking with Robbie, I ended up with a new truck, he even called me the next day checking if all was good.Theres more room in my garage now....the new truck doesnt fit. On the bright side, I now longer have to move a vehicle to access my motorcycle or ATV.

Drove down on a whim when a Sublime Green Ram 1500 Sport popped up. The buying experience was a little drawn out but rather good overall, my fault for dragging a 6-year-old into a dealership just before dinner time. Wish I got more on my trade-in but that is the same at every dealership. I did get a decent deal on a good truck with some solid financing. Cannot ask for more than that. Speaking of financing I ended up re-financing with local credit union a year later because they had some crazy negative interest deal and an unbeatable rate. Timothy from the Berglund finance department took care of my GAP and Service contract refunds in record time! I was expecting the run-around, but he took care of it all. Will definitely be back when its time to upgrade!

This is the first negative review Ive ever left but I do not recommend them for service. They tried to get me to spend money on something that didnt need to be repaired. I had this confirmed by multiple mechanics. When I tried to discuss this with them they ignored my concerns and rushed me along. Fortunately, I was a new customer and have since taken my business elsewhere. My advice would be to always make sure you get a second opinion.

My fiancé and I just bought a used car from Berglund Chrysler Dogde Jeep Ram and all in all the experience was great. Patrick Taylor, our salesman, was very kind and kept us up to date on the status of the vehicle while it was being serviced. Our only issue was that when they detailed the car they missed quite a bit, but I let Patrick know and when I take it in to get the trim parts they ordered on he’s going to get the detail department to go back over and fix what they missed. If you’re in the market for a new or used car call Patrick at Berglund.Went back to get the detailing redone and the trim put on. The trim looked great. They cleaned the seats where they were stained and those look great as well. However, they did an absolutely horrible job on the inside of my car where they had missed before. They didn’t even do it.

Had an appointment for 8:30am for the service department and did drop off. I heard nothing all day, so I called around 3:30 to check in because I had to have a coworker take me back to pick it up. Even after telling them, they had no idea of our name or which truck was ours. With a description of the truck and repeating our name like 3/4 times, a gentleman tells me that it is currently being serviced, and I would definitely have a call before 5. I’ve heard nothing, so 4:45 I call about coming to get our truck. I get hung up on after 4 minutes of on hold and waiting to speak to someone. I call back, and the lady tells me sorry and she was going to check on it. Tens minutes on hold and another lady picks up and asks how she can help. She goes to check and says that she had them quickly do the recall (literally just putting in a new floor mat) but they never got around to anything else. So they could keep the vehicle until tomorrow and look at it then. By this point, my husband had to take off of work early and has already driven up there. He says they were very confused onsite as well and had trouble placing his name and vehicle. We get in our truck (we choose not to leave it because we didn’t trust they would even do anything with it on the following day) and the floor mat wasn’t even done. Apparently a lady told my husband that the service department is behind like a week and half. Had any information been explained when we scheduled the appointment like a week ago then we would have been understanding of the situation. Significantly disappointed and frustrated with the lack of communication and observed disorganization. A lot of it could have been easily avoided with some communication in various points of this process. Let me be clear that no one was rude to us but we had a hard time getting correct and appropriate help with multiple people. I don’t write this review to be hateful. At the same time, you aren’t going to get this communication from the dealership themselves. Therefore I say, just be mindful when scheduling appointments here. I give a second star only because no one was rude to us.

We have purchased three vehicles from Berglund and I have never had a complaint. However, I have never used the service department either, until recently. My car still has full warranty, around 32K when I dropped it off for service last week. I was told I could not have a loaner. Dropped it off on a Saturday and by Wednesday, had not had any phone calls regarding the issues. Went to the dealership and the person I talked to was nice enough to get me a rental paid for by the dealership, but would not reimburse for the days I had already paid out of pocket. Finally got my car back today and was told the wrong transmission fluid was in the car. I advised them I had not had transmission serviced since the vehicle was purchased new from them and he said it was the wrong color and walked away. I recently had my headlights replaced with LED lights and they are not working. Pouring down rain today. Guess I will be out in the rain trying to figure out what has been disconnected. My car was also below empty when I picked it up today and it had half a tank when dropped off. I understand it had to be driven to test, but I would also expect them to replace the gas that was used.

Berglund Chrysler service center doesn’t care about the customer. They will not call you as promised. They will make appoints to repair vehicles when they don’t have the parts. Their staff is condescending and treat you like you are the problem. I would recommend you go anywhere else in the Roanoke area then here. If you do decide to go here then prepare yourself for the worst service you will ever receive. I only gave them 1 star because it makes you before it will allow you to post a comment. My ranking for them would be negative 5.

Been buying here for over 10 years. They are continually improving in service and professionalism. Out of every dealership I’ve been to, this is the place where I always feel like I am being treated fairly and never taken advantage of. Walt always gives top dollar on trade-ins. Live an hour away and showed up to drop off my van for repair but got told I am not in the system and no tail light was ordered last week when I came to make the appointment for 2 repairs. Next slot is almost 4 weeks out so I have to return a fleet vehicle with 2 problems on Aug. 6.Thank you Berglund. Oh yeah the man said they had to turn away many people today anyway because they were triple booked so I guess that means you have a 1 in 3 chance they will keep their promise.

Our deciding factor to make our purchase at Berglund in Roanoke was not due to the best price. It had everything to do with the Sales Specialist whos name is Patrick Taylor. Stopped by the lot about 10 minutes after closing just to walk around and look at the used cars they had. Even though they were closed, Carol came out and welcomed us to the lot. She mentioned they were closed but if we had any questions to let her know. She was wonderful to talk to and explained all their processes to us well. It says something about the employees of a business when they’ll come out and welcome you even after closing. Also, the warranty on the used cars that they offer is really good. I had a repair made on my wifes 2015 Jeep Cherokee Limited where they replaced the sparkplugs and one fuel injector because I did not have time to do it myself. I have been an auto mechanic, diesel mechanic and aircraft mechanic and I grew up on a farm working on cars, trucks, mowers, tractors and more. So Im pretty familiar with mechanic work. They did the initial work okay or so I thought, but then our Jeep started leaving a pretty good amount of oil drips on the driveway and was loosing oil at about a quart every 1000 miles. After inspecting it to see the source I realized it was coming from the top of the engine where they did their work, so I took it back to them to figure out what happen. That evening they said that it was nothing that they did, but the oil cooler directly in the area that they were working was cracked and leaking the oil. They said that they could replace it but parts and labor would be a little over $1,000! After talking for a while with the Service Manager, he said that the part with over $500 alone basically their cost and theyd have to get one shipped from another dealership. After a while he said that he could eat some of the labor expense so the replacement would run me around $700 and initially I was going to do it, but then I decided to check things on my own so I cancelled the repair appointment. I found and bought a brand new OEM oil cooler that looked identical to the one in the vehicle for LESS THAN $100.00 then watched some YouTube videos on doing the job. When I began disassembly I found things that the dealership had broken during their repair work from before and then I discovered that the source of my oil leak was not my oil cooler at all, but rather it was my PCV Valve as the oil was inside the intake plenum which they should have seen when they did the previous job. I replaced the gaskets, oil cooler (only because I already opened it) and PCV Valve in a friends shop taking my time and my total cost was less than $150. Only thing that was a bit tricky was getting a low in. lbs. torque wrench. My wrenches are mostly ft. lbs. Any way if I had gone with their original repair / replacement, then I would have been out over $1,000 and Id still have an oil leak / consumption problem. They dont really care about customer satisfaction or doing a good job. They just want your money. I wont go back to this dealer.

I worked directly with James Hunt while purchasing my Wrangler! He was fantastic to work with. At no point did I feel any pressure to make a decision, he answered all of my questions and helped me through getting heated seats added to my rig after purchase. Most importantly - I was looking at a model on the showroom floor and when I asked if any of the models on the lot shared similar features so we could get a feel for what the drive would be like he actually offered to let us take my jeep right off the showroom floor. Great buying experience all the way around!

These guys did warranty work on my Dodge 2500. And I cannot tell you how much I am impressed! These guys went above and beyond to get our truck operational as soon as they could. As a business owner this is key because when the truck is not on the road it is not producing money for the business. All the people here are very professional, polite, and kind! Berglund is a great place to buy a vehicle! Went down there with the expectation of having to visit multiple times to get anything done, but within a few hours, everything was settled and I was driving my new car home! I bought my Jeep Grand Cherokee in September 2016. Walt ( who is the General Manager) and the entire sales/service staff have been awesome to work with for the past 4 years. Luckily, Ive only had to have my jeep serviced a few times, but when I did they have been top notch to deal with! Its a great pleasure to have the trust from Sales to Service from day 1. *** DO NOT BUY FROM BERGLUND *** Only regret is that I can’t give zero stars. My 21 year old daughter made her first major car purchase here, a Jeep Grand Cherokee. They must have seen her coming because she definitely got a lemon. During the short period of time she’s had the vehicle she’s made numerous repairs, more than normal or reasonable for a Jeep with the mileage as hers. We attempted to get a recall issue repaired for almost 3 months with NO LUCK. My daughter even spoke with the GM, Walt, during the 3 months she tried to get the recall issue fixed who sarcastically told her, “you and 3000 other people are waiting for the repair.” Most recently at 113,000 miles HER TRANSMISSION HAS GONE OUT!! I find it extremely hard to believe that a car with transmission issues would pass an inspection as rigorous as they claim to perform on their used vehicles. Run away fast.

If youre not going to honor the coupons you send to customers, then you should stop sending them. How is a coupon for an oil change thats limited to 5 quarts of oil going to apply to a vehicle that takes 7 quarts of oil? The coupon has my VIN on it, so theres no confusion about what kind of vehicle I have. It doesnt look good for your business when I get an email with a targeted coupon just for me and when I come in to use it Im told that you cant accept it because its only for oil changes up to 5 quarts.UPDATE: Spoke to the service manager and theyre taking care of the coupon issue. I recently purchased a Jeep from a different dealership. It needed to have a couple of recalls done so I went into Berglund to set a service appointment. While I was there they had to enter my information in 4 times because their computers didn’t work. The day I brought it in they had no record of my appointment and I had to give all the information all over again. I dropped it off 2 hours prior to the appointment time and specifically asked what time they were open until and if it would be completed the same day. I was told the service department was open until 6 and that it would be finished today. At 5pm after I still had not heard from them I called to ask about my car. After a very rude woman misspelled my name 4 times then told me I had given her the wrong name I was told that the service department closed at 5 and that my vehicle was not done yet and would not be done same day. I got a ride down and picked up my vehicle which is NOT completed. I now have to figure out where to get my vehicle serviced for my recalls. On top of the garbage service I received I attempted to get the email address for the service manager and was told I could give them my information and someone would reach out to me but they didn’t have their service managers email address. The entire experience with Berglund was ridiculous and I will make sure everyone I know knows that Berglund is a terrible company.

Could or would not run diagnostic on my Chevy truck. But they have worked on it before. Sent me to Chevy dealership. Felt very dismissed by them. I have a Chrysler and dodge as well. They seem to have no problem working on them. Not pleased at all.

Horrible customer service and communication for the service center. Had to wait days, even with an appt, for them to even look at my car. They never initiated contact with us. We had to call to try and figure out what was taking so long, and they would not give a call back even after we left messages for them. Plus the prices to fix the car seemed super inflated and just greedy. Why would the estimate given seem to indicate my labor prices would be $500/hr? Seems steep to me

I will never buy another car at any Berglund location. I bought a used Acura MDX in July and the same night after I bought it and drove it home it popped up several messages including transmission system problem, emissions system problem and air bag system problem. I took it to them twice within the first month of having the vehicle to fix this issue, and it was fixed after the second time, but I only had my vehicle 1 week of the first month I bought it because it was being worked on the other 3 weeks. After I got it back I had no issues until today, now the air bag system problem light is back on. Do not buy a used car from here unless you want to waste your time and money. I will be filing complaints with the BBB and the State Attorney Generals office.

Good sales but the service department is the worst I’ve ever dealt with. I left my vehicle at 7:45am for a scheduled appointment for an oil change and state inspection. I needed new tires but despite 3 phone calls and 2 voicemails I could never get communication with anyone until 5:45pm when I got a call to say “ come get your vehicle before 6:30”. There’s no way I should’ve passed without new tires and it’s inexcusable that I couldn’t get a single person to communicate with me throughout the day. Despite a good buying experience, I will not be coming back for future service due to the horrible service experience.

Best car buying experience Ive had -- and Ive had many through the years! Patrick Taylor was extremely helpful, friendly, and efficient! I was offered an overnight test drive to be sure I was investing in the right car. I never felt pressured at any point which is rare in this business. I feel like I received a great deal without having to spend hours sitting in the dealership haggling over pricing. I highly recommend this dealership and Patrick!!

Service people are nice and prompt. I think some techs are new. I had to take my van back for a problem. They were supposed to fix. Found they forgot to tell me it was the same problem. But with a different wheel.
