I felt that my car just wasnt right so I called in and spoke with Adam as my friends in the area that run dealerships always had fond things to say about this location. Well, Adam was super fabulous and inviting on the phone. Dropped the car off and felt that I was in good hands. Adam drove it personally and advised that he felt nothing wrong. Nothing at all. He is honest and fair when other shops would have created a problem just to fix it. Thank you for your care, concern and more importantly honesty. I will recommend this shop to ANYONE and if the need ever arises again, I will be back. Thank you again Adam and Happy Holidays!!!

Adam was not honest and upfront about the diagnostic service. I essentially paid $50 for him to tell me there was something wrong with my transmission and nothing else which is what I already knew. His attitude was also unprofessional since when I asked him for more details on the problem and he got angry and basically shooed me away.

Adam and Madeline are true professionals. I love Madelines phone etiquette and the way she communicates respectfully (not with attitude) with everyone. She strives to provide the best service she can and she represents the business well. And Adam is truly a genuine and honest business owner. Not only did he provide me an honest assessment of my transmission repair needs, but he also performed the work at a reasonable price and in a timely manner. Recently, when he realized that he couldnt perform an engine repair request, he recommended me to another service that could, and he didnt charge me for his diagnostic time, even though I insisted to pay something. Im thankful for having worked with Adam and Madeline in addressing my transmission and auto repairs services.

Every once in a while you come across a review where the individual says they never leave reviews but the service was just too good not to and they rant about how good a service was. Well I’ve never left one either. And I’m actually not even feeling well today but today was the day I just had to say if your reading reviews to decide rather to go here.. look no further! Adam was very accommodating and really does care about his customers. While I was there his phone was ringing off the hook with business so yes he stays busy which says a lot about the place. After replacing my transmission my car is driving like a brand new car. Trustworthy, cares about his customers and gets the job done right. I actually moved here not too long ago from out of state as well... so we all know trying to find that one place you can trust that isn’t going to gauge you for money is a hard fit to find. A transmission about to kick the bucket never seems to be a good day but in the hands of the right people it does give you peace in the process. I am highly impressed and satisfied with the service and believe you will be too!

New Management! Amazing customer service! I have always taken my 1998 Honda to this location for repairs and had transmission work done in 2012 with great success. On my visit this week, I was worried about the severity of what my repair might be. The gear shift wasnt slipping into gear properly, and I was thinking the worst. I reluctantly brought the car in - figuring Id get the run around and a list of items that needed to be fixed. I was more than pleasantly surprised. I was greeted by new owners Matt & Matt and helped by Sam. I only waited an hour for the problem to be diagnosed, the part couriered to the shop and the repair work to be completed. I had two kids in tow, so for me this was incredible customer service. They are honest, hard working and genuinely care about making sure you understand the repair process, cost and future maintenance. It was nice to have a good car repair experience without the usual stress that comes from a visit to the shop. I absolutely recommend this Aamco location for transmission work and more. We are headed on vacation at the end of June and I will be back to make sure the car gets a tune up before we hit the road.

Hands down a great place to get some work done. I called around before I found them, and no one would help me. So when I called Bryan told me to come down and they would help. I have a 1976 Spitfire 4 speed. Not to many shops want to or know how to build an older trans. Bryan and your team thank you for doing a great job... Mike

These guys are professionals and they are very good at what they do! Im not gonna feed anyone some bad advice about a business, but I feel that my money was very well spent here!! They are genuine, honest people. My car is driving better than it ever has since I bought it, and there arent too many people that I will let work on my Pontiac GTO! I can almost guarantee you that they are one of the best bangs for your buck if you need a transmission shop or any repairs for that matter! Veteran approved!

We have had great results taking our vehicles to Aamco. Steve always has very friendly, helpful employees. We have found that the assessments of our problems have been accurate and they do only necessary repairs. They explain exactly what is needed and let us know if there is more than one option. We appreciate their quick turnaround time in getting the car back to us.We highly recommend Aamco. They will always have our business!

We have taken three cars to this AAMCO. The first was the least expensive of the three quotes so we went with it for the F150. They did great work and the price did not change. Then I had to take our other sons car, a Ford Focus. Transmission was dry as a bone. Adam Gadowski (manager) could have just as easily charged for a new transmission but instead found that it was old seals that were leaking, they fixed it, made sure the transmission was fine and charged me a few hundred as opposed to a few thousand. We then had to take our Buick in for a transmission issue (when it rains it pours) and this one cost us more than we wanted. However, that is the nature of the beast. We have had a few minor follow up issues, which Adam and his team addressed quickly, inexpensively (mostly at no cost). I would definitely recommend taking your car there for big things...transmissions etc, not for the small things, oil change, windshield wipers etc. Adam is honest and knowledgeable, go see them!

Called with questions about my transmission and Adam was just being rude (a D-bag) the whole time on the phone. Like I was wrong for attempting to self diagnose and narrow down the problem myself. There was no reason for the unprofessional costumer service and Adams (A-hole) attitude definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. Thats just my experience with him in particular cant speak about the rest of his team but I hope they can conduct themselves like professionals unlike him.

Great shop with fair pricing and honest employees. Ive used them off and on for some 17 yrs now and have never been disappointed. In fact, some years ago another local shop told me I needed a new transmission in my 89 Corolla. Decided to take it here and found out that all I needed was a CV shaft replaced! THAT is the kind of honesty you can expect with AAMCO in Lawrenceville!

I drive around Metro Atlanta a good bit for work, and my check engine light came on getting off the Lawrenceville HWY exit. I pulled in to get my check engine codes pulled, and even though they were very busy there was a tech who pulled the codes and went over the meaning of each within 15 min. Luckily turned out to be a non-issue but was worth the stop! Id recommend this shop!

I brought my vehicle in to this location because I was having transmission issues. I was already told by another shop that the transmission needed to be replaced. They took the time to inspect the vehicle and I was told that the transmission could be repaired and it didnt have to be replaced saving me thousands of $$. The repairs only took 2 days to complete, so I was in and out. Great location, great staff, very easy to work with, 5 stars all the way!

Thank you Matt K. and the rest of the team at Aamco W. Pike St, you guys did a great job with my car. My car had all kinds of lights on when I took it to Aamco. When I picked it up no lights on. This car has had the check engine light on for so long I have to get used to the light not being on anymore. If you want your car to work take it to these guys they are super friendly, caring and hard working. They will not quit until they take good care of your car care needs. Thank you so much guys!!!!

Would like to acknowledge Randall for his professionalism and patience while working with him to resolve a complicated and difficult matter with the transmission in my BMW. While the transmission in the vehicle was irreparable, Randall attempted to find me a suitable replacement. This was not possible based on the cost of the replacement and the value of the car.Randall allowed the vehicle to remain on the property without charge until I was able to dispose of it. He could have charged me storage fees and additional labor but felt that doing so would only make my bad situation worse. Empathy and ethics are not common today. I am happy to say that Randall possesses both qualities. Enthusiastically endorse him and his team as pros worthy of praise.

Took car for transmission fluid replacement and filter change. I was told it was going to take couple of hours, this is second day my car is there and i have not received a call yet, im picking up my car today, what a waste of time. Also they said they have not had time to look at transmission. Transmission??? i asked them to do something else, then they mentioned the range sensor might need to be replaced, but not sure, if i needed the car i could pick it up and reschedule, reschedule??? The mechanic is not sure if transmission may need to be serviced, i didnt ask them to do any of that, he was going to have manager call me to let me know what was wrong and quote for what needs to be done, excuse me?? I asked to do a specified service not to wonder around and guess what may be turning check engine light on, what a waste of time

These guys are INCOMPETENT and DISHONEST!!I took my 2003 Honda Odyssey to them with a transmission error code. They charged me $512.65 to replace a pressure switch and a range sensor and assured me the problem was solved. Seemed fair to me.Problem occured again and after reinspecting said it was a bad ground wire from engine to frame and, again, problem solved.Problem occured again and I took back a third time. When I went to pick up the mechanic came out and said he hadnt had a chance to look at car yet (after having all day). He tightened the battery cable and was sure that would solve problem.Problem occured again, fourth time. This time I took my Honda to Gwinnett Place Honda. Dealer found an after market alarm system installed by previous owner that I didnt know was on car that was causing an electrical short and making computer read an error in transmission. The dealer removed the after market alarm system, charged me a reasonable price and gave me a rental car for the day. I have not had the problem since.I contacted Paul, the manager, and explained everything and asked for some sort of reimbursement since they had failed to resolve the problem. Paul said he would speak with Scott, the owner, and get back to me.Paul never called me back and after calling numerous times to find out if he had spoken with Scott, Paul told me it was his opinion that they did solve the problem and there was nothing they could do.NEVER USE THESE GUYS!

I recently went to AAMCO to get my 2001 Nissan Frontier fixed. I had a major oil leak on my rear main seal and also had a cluster problem with my speedometer. Since new management has taken over at the aamco the service is far beyond what I expected. After calling around to several different companies I found out that aamco gave me the lowest price and also fixed a few other problems that they didnt even charge me for. They finished my car in that time frame that they said they were and they also called to inform me on other issues that they found and that they fixed at no other charge. Matt Kilpatrick had great customer service and very helpful throughout the whole process . I will take my car and also my familys vehicles back to this aamco since it has new management. Ask for Matt hes the guy that helped me out with everything and hes very knowledgeable.

YOU Decide!I was given a glowing recommendation to take my car to Aamco on Pike Street, Lawrenceville, Ga.Arranged w/the manager to bring my car in after getting a $750.00 estimate from the local Jaguar company to fix a pan and sleeve for my car. Was assured that they knew this type of car, could complete the job in the agreed time frame and that it would only cost me $215.00ish to do it.ALL WRONG! ended up taking them 3 day do do absolutely nothing but charge me $329.00 for repairs and ($725.00ish was the original quote prior to my complaint).... then told me there was never anything wrong with my transmission to being with. WTF!? Had to rent a car to transport my child back and forth to school ($113.00) Found my car unlocked duing posted business hours on the lot...(not a great neighborhood either) My story could go on and I am sure you could guess where it might lead to, this company does not know XJ8s like they say that they do.My advice to these people.....JUST BE HONEST! If you dont know what you are doing, move me along....I will find someone who does and hopefully avoid the hassle.
