Went in for an oil change, sat there for 2 hours. Was driving down the freeway and noticed they didnt reset the computer sensor (cpu said 15% oil life!). Went to check to make sure they actually changed the oil only to find a huge mess on the engine cover and that they broke the hydraulic shocks on the hood so now the hood wont stay up. The nuts for the hood are scratched and chewed up as if someone was using the wrong tool, mind you the hood was working fine two days ago when I checked my AC. Why did they even need to touch the hood? Its an OIL CHANGE. Probably the easiest thing you could do on a vehicle. I came to Brake Masters out of convenience, instead they wasted half my day. Called back to have them reset the computer and the dude at the counter said he didnt have a gold HHR in that day, except hes the one who helped us the first time! Went back to them, they reset the computer then when I asked about the hood they acted very odd then told me its weak shocks yea no duh, Im asking why theyre suddenly weak when they were working fine two days ago. Its one thing to break a customers vehicle, its another to completely deny it. When I asked about the scratched bolts, one of them said uh we put the hood prop there as if he wasnt sure and making up an excuse. Afterwards all three piped in claiming thats where they put the hood prop...on the hood hinges...cuz that totally makes sense and TOTALLY explains why the bolts are chewed up, note the heavy sarcasm because a hood prop typically rests on the radiator support, not your hood hinges 🙄. This place seems like its ran by a bunch of dudebro frat boys who dropped out of community college. Not to mention I watched one of the employees in a blue truck peel out of the parking lot, fish tail, and nearly tboned a parked sedan in the McDonalds parking lot.Go here if you enjoy being ripped off with half-a$$ed service and more stuff broken. Personally, I wont be returning.P.S: You can see where one of them has touched the shock in what seems a failed attempt to remove it. Thanks guys, now Im out $40 plus a visit to the junkyard for new hood shocks.

Ive had work done at 4 different brake masters stores over the last 3 years and this was my only negative experience yet. All i needed done was a swaybar link installed, i provided the part. That is a $60 job and they charged me $150 for it because according to them my car being lowered somehow justifies what they charged me but ironically none of the other stores have ever told me this somehow makes working on the car more difficult and Ive had them do suspension work before. And to rub it in their technician wiped grease all over the roof ofMy car and my door. Really dude? Youre too lazy to at least wipe it off? This store is cancer. Avoid at all costs.

Had some unexpected work to get done today, and Jesus was awesome! He listened to my concerns and helped me to figure out what the best course of action was, thank you for that!Every time I come here the staff is really friendly and willing to explain everything to me, as I am not a car person, and the quality of their labor is excellent. They changed management from an honest old guy- to telling us we needed $800 in new rotors. When we told them “No, we just had them checked by a mechanic”, they still charged $210 to install brake pads that are technically free since they offer a lifetime warranty. We will be going elsewhere from now on. They’ve lost our trust.

I feel like they are more honest than other mechanics, but I really dont know for sure. I do know they told me I could hold off for a few years on a more expensive repair recommended. They also had no problem checking my battery, which was under warranty. They also told me I didnt need a service someone else recommended, but then recommended other services, so who knows. There is always a very long wait, so drop off if you can.

Made an appointment for 1pm, arrived at 12:40 and it is now 2:30 without my car even touched. Pretty ridiculous to be waiting after scheduling a time to be worked on

When my brakes started making a grinding noise I needed to find someone to take my car to. I can not even begin to tell you how grateful I am that after reading the reviews I decided to go to Brake Masters! I was greeted immediately with a friendly hello by a man who I would later find out is named Nestor Q. Let’s be honest... nobody ever wants to hear that they need new brakes and rotors. But Nestor was so friendly that I can honestly say I left there happy, feeling like I took them to the best place possible to get them fixed. I also noticed that the waiting area was really clean, and I was beyond impressed with how quickly he was able to finish the work on my car. I would absolutely 100% recommend coming here for any of your car care needs! 😃P.S.They also have a credit card that you can apply for that offers 0% interest for 6 months!

I took advantage of their Free Brake Inspection service, and was impressed with their thoroughness and professionalism. As a business they got all the basic things right, and I would be very happy to go back to Brake Masters #210 in the future to get more extensive work done.I did not see any indications at all that they were bad people to do business with- but with anything automotive it is always advisable for the CUSTOMER to be as knowledgeable as possible about the issue.

Do not use this location if you dont want to wait around for you car.We made a 9:30 am appointment to have a wheel alignment done on our car. We were told when making the appointment that it would take about 45 minutes to an hour. We dropped our car off around 9:20 am and went shopping in the area until 10:30 am. When we returned to pick up the car, they hadnt even gotten started on it yet. So I guess making a 9:30 am appointment means first come first serve. Unfortunately we had another appointment at 11:30 am and could not wait any longer. What a waste of our morning this experience was!

I decided to try Brakemasters #210 since it was so close to home. I had a fuel system flush and it made a big difference, car is running great. Very professional. I had a problem with the transmission cable which they couldnt fix but let me know what was wrong and what needed to be fixed. This allowed me to zero in on finding the repair elsewhere. Thank you Jeff. You were a big help to an old lady.

Had a water hose burst and needed to get in right away so his was the closest.Just wanted to say Tony and Jeremy have great customer service skills, Mike on the other hand was rude and condescending! We realize they were busy but no need to be rude to customers and employees. Corporate needs to send him back for customer and employee communication skills! I booked an appointment yesterday for 12:30 pm and the CSR Jeremy told me it would take 2 hours max for my cars wheel alignment since there was a guy with appointment also waiting. He said they would call me when my car was ready but it was already 2:30pm and hadnt received any call. I called about three times before he told me it was almost ready, that I could make my way there. I arrived at 3:20 and told Jeremy why it took so long?His response is the reason Im writing this review: Well we had many walk-ins and we give preference to the people who stay here so I told him: I had an appointment scheduled for 12:30 pm so I would guess people with appointment should be the ones with priority. I booked an appointment because I had something to do at 3pm!!I was out of the location till 3:40 pm! :( with a 12:30pm appointment!!What good is it to have an appointment if I had to wait 3 hours when in reality it should only take an hour max in my opinion!!

Basically rebuilt the front end. They showed us every detail of what needed to be done. They were very friendly and helpful, and they also transported us to our home and back. We are very pleased.

Love this location. I always make an appointment because I like to get in and out.I had an issue from a different place that replaced a headlight out of state. They got me right in and the kicker ...did not chart me for the minor repair.

These guys work really hard and they know their stuff. I’ve had probably half of my engine replaced. When I don’t need some thing they tell me honestly, so there’s been times when I thought something was really wrong and I walked away with something simple that fix the problem. I think it’s hard to find a place where you don’t feel like you’re being hoodwinked. This is a great shop that has integrity and helps you quickly. Thank you!

I rarely ever leave reviews, but I feel this particular business deserves credit where one is due. Outstanding service and friendly atmosphere. Mike was extremely courteous, knowledgeable, and personable. Went in for a brake fluid flush/change and oil change. They did a professional job, and in a very quick time frame. They definitely don’t recommend maintenances/repairs that aren’t necessary. Ergo, a reliable and honest business. Definitely will come back for regular maintenance.

Asked for them to repair my rear brakes. Recieved a phone call a few hours later stating I need almost $3000 work done.....nothing regarding my brakes. They still did nothing to the brakes. Guy on the phone got irritated when I interrupted his 15 minute repair list and said what about the rear brakes?The only thing that was asked of them was to CHANGE THE REAR BRAKES.Also used Covid Fear stating that the CDC reccomends changing air filters so they will need more $$$. I called the CDC....they have not put out any such information. Also stated car air filters would not protect from Corona.Have lived in 8 States...worst mechanic shop.You should do what you are asked to do. And you should not use fear to get sales.

While i was waiting for an estimate, an older lady came in wanted tune up. Poor english. Travis ask her why she believed she needed a tune-up not wanting to do something that was unnecessary. And offered her a free estimate if she would make an appointment to come in when he had the time to do it. He explained she may not need that particular service and wanted to do a free estimate before charging her any money for anything. I thought that was great. Any other business could have easily just took her in and charge the money for something she may not have needed

The guy at the front desk was bad mouthing his girlfriend. Loudly. It was so inappropriate and uncomfortable. Appointments dont matter, wait time is ridiculous. Worst experience for getting a simple oil change

My overall experience with the company itself isn’t the best. Do not go to the Tropicana location #174. HOWEVER, the eastern location #210 was a great experience. They listened to my needs and assisted me efficiently and with care! Travis, the store manager, made sure to take care of me and my vehicle and Nestor, one of the employees, took the time to explain parts and problems on my car and didn’t try to take advantage of me how I felt at the other location. Very grateful for the customer service that was shown to me!!

Very professional and accommodating! Went in for a brake check and got my serpentine belt, front brakes, wind shield wipers and a few lug nuts replaced. Was told 2-3 hour wait and got a call in an hour and a half!Highly recommend, these guys are top notch.

Discount Tire sent me here to replace wheel studs 30min job took 2 hours, had No reason to open my hood and mess around, after I left my truck is worse off, I know the Kid did something to my truck. Then they told someone he couldnt come in without a mask and 2 guys that work there had no mask on, Please stay away from this place

Honest shop. They do whats needed, not what they think they can gouge you for. My daughter took her car there, and they could have gotten her for $500.00. But they did the service she needed and charged her $200.00. They advised her on some things that will be needed in the future, but no high pressure sales. I appreciate this type of service, it is rate these days.

This place was amazing. When you go here talk with Michel. The dealership wanted to charge me $350 just to replace the front brake pads. I came in and talked to Michael and he was able to replace my front brake pads and rear pads and rotors for a price you just can’t pass up! Excellent customer service and speed of service. Highly recommended!

So unbelievably satisfied with my experience here. I thought my car had worse issues than it did, but the team found that it was just a caliber bolt missing and were able to fix that for me with ease. The people there were very courteous, knowledgeable finish the job relatively fast for chain mechanic shops. the reason I and give them three stars was because the prices are in my opinion about 20% higher other brake places. but I will end this on a very very positive note which made me very happy they give veterans and Senior citizens discounts. but you got to ask for them or they wont tell you. All in all my experience was very nice tiny bit expensive but sometimes you have to pay for what you get for

These guys are honest. The dealer told me I needed to change front and rear brakes cause theyre really bad. I went here instead cause they were a lot cheaper. After driving my car and looking at the pads and rotors they told me they are still good and no need to change at all. Didnt even do it without telling just to make a sale. Travis is the man, he called me a few weeks ago to notify that they would be open for repairs. Im going this Friday the 18th at 7:30am for a synthetic oil change in my wifes Toyota Sienna. he is the least expensive for all shops currently open, also his office staff will remind you about the online coupons. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone after spending $1200+ on brakes for 2 vehicles and bringing one of my vehicles back to them because of a strange noise it was making they said they didnt know what the issue was and named off like 4 different problems it could be which were all wrong. I took it to a REAL mechanic (who actually fixed the issue) the noise was because they didnt tighten the lug nuts on my tires go figure. Dont waste your time here in less you want to put you and your family in danger. Hopefully the brakes were put on right didnt even have those looked at.

Id give this 0 star if I could. I felt highly disrespected when I went there today. Disrespect can come in all forms whether it be because of ones looks, the type of car they drive, how calm they appear, etc. I dont know exactly which one it was. Maybe its all in my head and its an honest mistake from them, its possible. Check out my story and decide for yourself :Took my car there to check on the break and was told to wait for 45 minutes, which is no problem. After about 55 minutes, I asked about my car and was told that it is being worked on and should be done in 15 minutes. I continued to wait.After 20 minutes, I asked again and found out the car wasnt even checked to begin with.Yes, they apologized for not prioritizing my car, etc, but the damage had been done. It felt horrible, I had wasted my time for nothing.Im not one to make a live ruckus about something as its not in my nature, plus what purpose would it serve?Not saying you should not come here, your experience may be pleasantly different from mine.

Took my car in to check the AC thinking it needed a recharge. Alex was very helpful and transparent. Turned out it was my compressor. They didnt charge for the recharge. I was in and out within an hour. These guys are pros. Some of the best customer service Ive experienced.

I was a regular customer at the location off Tropicana and Pecos until Don, the former manager quit. Got greats deals and never felt cheated. Until...I went to this location on Saturday, August 19 for an oil change. They charged me over 70 bucks for synthetic oil. I know it isnt cheap but I knew I could have gotten a better deal somewhere else. On top of that, they pointed out I had a radiator leak in which I didnt spot any leakage. Thats when I knew this place were full of scam artists. You lost a loyal customer. Never going back to this establishment again. 💩👎

Asked how much for an AC blower motor replacement. Quoted $500 cuz “it’s a big job” ... “takes hours to install.”My mechanic came to my house and installed it in 20 minutes.

These guys are friendly, helpful, and above all HONEST.I thought I had a pretty major problem with my truck, that turned out to be (thankfully) very minor. They could have easily gouged me and I’d have been none the wiser - a whole lot of places in the area would have done exactly that.Over the last few days I’ve spoken with Christian, Mike, and Travis, and every one of them Customer Serviced my brains out. They’re great guys, and (as someone new to the area) I’m so relieved to find myself a new regular auto shop. I can’t recommend them highly enough.
