My Brake pads were installed incorrectly. inspected 2 additional times by their “professionals” after they installed. Still squeaking. Took them to Meineke and they found the pads were installed backwards. This cost me an additional $700.00 and Midas management refuses to call me back of rectify the situation. Don’t be like me and waste numerous hours with no avail. Their customer service is nothing more than a third party answering service. The ownership calls all of the shots.

Please do not go here. They messed up majorly on my car and wont even accept responsibility for their mistake. I understand mistakes happen, but the way they have handled this situation is so poor and disappointing. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else so you dont have to experience what we have had to.

Needed to stop in the morning before work, because I thought I just needed air in the tires. Turns out there was a small nail. The technician who helped me, didnt catch his name but the receipt says JIR, was amazing!!! Not only was he ready to help me, he patched my tire right then and there. And I couldnt have been more thankful. He saved me the worries of having to drive from red rock to the airport and back to get my car in before they closed. This place is great 👍🏼

DO NOT GO HERE !! I made an appointment for work to be done. They had previously checked the car and knew exactly what they needed to do the job. Said it would take about 2 hours. I dropped the car off and went back 2 1/2 hours later. They hadn’t even started the job. Said they were waiting for parts. No apologies or anything. Just “ that’s the way it is “

Over promised under produced. Had appointment at 8am was promised that car would be done by a certain time, when I dropped car off the manager proceeded to tell me he could not get car done in that time, i was then told I was not in the computer system at all, yet they have done work on my car before. No parts were ordered, he asked for payment up front which he had never done before....manager kept making excuse after excuse why this could of happened..... not professional at all.

Bill at the Charleston location is a thief. Went in for an estimate on getting shocks installed, just the labor, and when I didnt accept the $1100 labor estimate, he said there was a $40 inspection fee. What did they inspect? He charged me $40 to tell.me there was $1100 in labor to bolt on shocks. Been going there for a couple of years, but no more. Thanks Bill, you crook

It was a great place to get a quick oil change and get my car looked over. If youre using a Groupon I recommend you dont purchase it beforehand and ask them what you need for your car. Despite researching it, I made the mistake of buying the wrong kind of oil change Groupon for my car and they were really nice about fixing the issue. Efficient, thorough, and pleasant to work with.

A Midas in another state left our air filter off and we took our car here to have it diagnosed. At first it seemed like Midas was going to stand behind their work and take care of the issue. When no codes came up, the manager told us our car was fine. I had to call the other Midas to get anything done and even then it was a dead end. Of course we were upset. Our car ran fine before Midas left the radiator cap loose and the air filter completely off, then they tell us the car is fine. Going from 18 miles per gallon to 12 miles per gallon is not fine! The manager then told us to leave because they didn’t like that we were upset in front of other customers. If the work had been done right we wouldn’t have been upset. We were not yelling or swearing, just mad that we were told the car was fine after driving two and a half hours to this Midas. I said I would complain more and the managers didn’t care because all complaints just go to them. I will never use a Midas and highly recommend you don’t either. If you look at my Google local guide you might notice I am well traveled and have been all over. So far Midas is the worst company I have dealt with and I wish I could give them negative stars.

Brought my car into Midas for a front brake job. The estimate I was given was $150-$200. Austin the manager called me to let me know the front brakes were fine but the rears needed to be replaced. Not a big deal but I was then told that the job was going to be $500! The explanation given was because of the type of rotor and material they were made of that the rotors could not be turned or machined at all, they could only be replaced. I dont have much mechanical experience but I know that isnt true, as long there is enough material left on the rotor most can be turned.I called two dealerships that confirmed the rotors, front and rear, are able to be turned on my vehicle. Paid Midas the $20 diagnostic fee to get my car back and brought it to the dealership. The dealership promptly replaced my rear brakes and turned the rotors for $265, a little over half of what Midas was trying to charge me. They even gave me a lifetime warranty on the pads to boot.Worth $20 to find out this shop and employees are not to be trusted. Save yourself the time and hassle, skip Midas entirely and go somewhere else.

Great Customer Service! Very knowledgeable. I needed a major repair on my car and I was scared to take my car anywhere because as a single Female, Ive been taken advantage of. However, I felt very comfortable with Austin and his staff! They were able to describe to me what my car was doing and educate me which I really appreciated. I dont know anything about cars but the guys at Midas didnt make me feel that way.

Went in to change my brakes, after they checked my brake system they noticed I need rotors. Advised me that the rotors had grooves and would need to be changed before they could put new pads. They changed everything and now my brakes are smooth with no noise. Thank you guys

This one goes out to Austin. They said I had an exhaust manifold leak (which i do) and both manifolds need to be replaced. They welded them for me plus an oil change for 1500 dollars. Then, my engine light came on for the A/F sensor because I still had a leak. They quoted me 1300 to simple replace them. (Funny how its cheaper to simply buy the parts and replace them than it is to repair). After, I took it to my friends auto shop who actually removed both manifolds for me to see. One of them was perfectly fine with no cracks or blemishes. The other one had a few cracks poorly welded but a huge one not welded at all. I assume Midas saw this crack because it was bigger than all the other ones. The shop welded it for me for 200 dollars and its been one week with no issues. We all know large autoshops are a scam but Midas takes the cake. I spent so much unnecessary money on them that it really set me and my family back. I will never go back and I truly hope this helps people save money. Its easy to offer great customer service and offer a snack bar when youre over charging for parts and labor. Good one Midas. You got me good.

BEWARE- extremely shady business operation, more like a con-artist.I bought a groupon for front brake pads and paid $75 extra for their additional fees and change windshield wiper blades two months ago. From the day after brake pads were installed, car started to make small growling noise when braking. Over a month of time, it got worse. So i took the car back to midas for examination.They examined it and their diagnosis was brakes are perfect but struts are worn down and should be replaced, and quoted me $880.Fishy because the growling noise at brake continued.I made an appointment at Mr. Brake and had the car inspected.Their diagnosis: cheap brake pads are causing the problem. Strut does not make noise even when worn down. Also strut usually does not need to be replaced until 85,000 - 100,000 miles. (My car is currently at 58,800).I paid $190 to replace the brake pads at Mr. Brake. My car brakes very smoothly now.

Today I took my car into Midas and got it worked on and that was alignment I brought the car in on Saturdayand I was told there were two areas that needed repair before the alignment could be done. The total repair bill for Midas was $990. And some changethat was with a veterans discount. I took it to my garage and had all the work done for less than $230. its something to consider when it comes to dealing with certain shops in certain areas. I finally got the Groupon coupon for my alignment taken care of this morning 2/10/20.Great alignment.

Just walking into the office, this shop was different. It was clean. I wasnt afraid of sitting down and being sticky after. Stocked snacks. Super friendly techs. They took great care of my car. I went into this Midas with cooling system issues and they were wonderful. They got me in fast and didnt charge me a ton for new hoses. At the end, they asked me if I knew law enforcement, and when I told them I did, they gave me 10% off. Will definitely be back.

Sam and George are amazing!!!As some who as worked in a field of customer service I know what that should look like. Sam is progressional and polite. George gave me all the info I could ever need to solve my car problems and was not rude when I let him I had previously made arrangements to take my car elsewhere. Took in a pt cruiser that was over heating. It was pressure tested and they told us it was the temperature sensor. I asked them if they checked the other components of the radiator they said they had. However the next day the car started over heating again. I had to properly bleed the radiator myself and replace a faulty radiator cap and got the car running properly again. While I agree the sensor needed to be replaced I feel that for $300 they should have at least gotten rid of all the air pockets in the radiator and noticed the faulty radiator cap. These are supposed to be trained employees and I shouldnt be able to fix their shortcomings with 10 minutes on Google. Only reason we went there is because it was close to where we were overheating and I didnt want to risk driving it home. Next time I think Im better off doing it myself. Also the employee who I interacted with told me that it was normal for the car to pass the middle of the temperature gauge on a hot day and that is simply false and shows the lack of knowledge. Once I replaced the radiator cap and bled the system the cars temperature stayed perfectly centered on a highway drive with the AC on max while 113 outside.

I seen a deal on Groupon for an alignment so I bought it and made an appointment to have the work done at the store on rainbow all Ill say is I had a bad experience and didnt have it done their so I went to this store on W Charleston and spoke with the manager Carl he was extremely nice and made my bad experience at the other store right with me I ended up having my lower control arms done on my car their also because how honest Carl was he treated me with respect and looked out for my best interest it took only 2 hours to replace both lower control arms and do the alignment I highly recommend this store to anyone who wants quality work done at a good price Carl and his team are great and Im extremely greatful for all they did to get my car running correctly again I will be back without a doubt soon as I need work done on my car THANKS CARL AND TEAM MIDAS W.CHARLESTON CHECK THEM OUT!!!

I had a head gasket repair done in April of 2018, cost $1,500.00. In July of 2018 the car was running rough and set off the engine light. I took the car back to have Midas check the car and for two days they said they could not figure out the problem, mechanic was Adam. So I asked them what should I do? Austin said I should take it to another shop and recommended the SUV truck repair 5 shops over from the location of the Midas shop. Austin the shops front desk clerk took my car over to the other shop because it was so close by. Once the other shop check out the car they told me who ever done the head gasket job had done it wrong. They said the bolts loosen up on the head gasket because they had not been properly torque down by the last mechanic. This caused the gasket to leak antifreeze and oil into the engine which cause it to run rough. The second shop took apart all related parts to the engine and done a complete clean up and reassembly. The cost was $1200.00. I went back to Midas and told Austin the problem which they could not figure out and said my problem was the result of the head gasket job being done incorrectly. They said I would need to take it up with the district manager Carl Sheppard. The shop never gave mea contact number to this guy and after searching on the internet I got lucky and found him at another shop. I give him my complaint and tell him that they should reimburse me for not doing the head gasket correctly. He tells me the owners will not refund me because the head gasket has a warranty and they would of done the repair for free. The only problem with that answer is his shop was not able to find out the cause of the problem and recommend another shop to help me. I will now have to use these idiots for the refund.

Went to get an alignment done at your rainbow office and the service was terrible... Waited much longer then they said it would be done nd they still didnt fix it... So I took it to midas on W Charleston... Nicolas was the guy that was helping me... He was amazing and his staff was very friendly... Every time I went there he was there to help... Five words: Complete incompetence; lack of integrity.Nearly had to replace an engine thanks to these using the WRONG Oil, even after specifically being TOLD NOT TO, AND being ASSURED that they knew what they were doing..Oh and did I forget that I had to take the car back there two times, Just for them to properly close and secure the cover after replacing the oil (with the WRONG Grade, mind you).THE. WORST. EXPERIENCE. EVER.NEVER going back! Completely unacceptable and.incompetent lack of knowledge.

These guys are awesome! We have an old SUV we use to haul our boat and one morning it wouldnt start . we had it towed down to midas around 8am . An employee Zack came out grabbed our suv and pushed it right into the shop checked the SUV over and determined our fuel pump died! So now were freaking out thinking this is going to take days to get fixed but man was I mistaken . Zack and the rest of the guys had the old SUV taken apart new fuel pump installed and it was literally ready by lunch the same day!!! When they called me to come pick it up just hours after dropping off I was so stoked . Definately my new go to shop!

This place is run by criminals. Save yourself months worth of headaches and thousands of dollars. I would give this place 0 stars if possible. The owner is classless, the manager Rich is condescending and a complete liar. They will recommend parts that work completely fine to be replaced, replace parts with incorrect parts for the vehicle, and then lie about what theyve done. They also will come up with creativeways to not honor warranties and the quality of the work, especially the welding, is unacceptably bad. The only way I will ever see anyone related to this shop again would be in court. Save yourself the frustration and extra costs and avoid these clowns at all costs.
