The sign on the building says Firestone. This is not Firestone. They do not do Firestone warranty work. Don’t be fooled thinking you are getting Firestone and you are just getting another repair shop. Cheaper at Busy Buggy and nicer people.

Called for a brake pad swap. Was quoted 150 on the phone and told to come by 12-1230. Upon arrival I had clearly talked to the older guy on staff but he doesnt even remember the appointment.After some back and forth with the manager Ozzy they say 350.I chuckled and asked how they got to 350 from 150.The responses were scattered but varied between a poorly formed we dispose of all the old parts and our hourly rate is 150 and this is 1.2 hoursTo keep it short. No real explanation for the 100% price increase.Then the little manager blurted out well were the only ones here and neither of us told you 150 at that point I realized this was likely their racket to get people in the door.Just asking for a price breakdown the Manager got super passive aggressive and uptight but offered no in depth explanation.A few notes for anyone reading new to vegas150$ an hour labor is near luxury dealership ratesAvoid any place that tries to change the quoted number.This place is a run down tire shop in China town. Worth 70-100 an hour labor at best.If you need tips on how to drive away your customers in a show of passive aggressiveness mixed with lack of knowledge Ozzy is your man!

These guys were great. We were driving through Vegas on our way across the country and stopped to fix an alignment problem. They got us right in while we waited. It turned out to be a bigger deal that we decided to get fixed back in California, but they were ready to do the work there if we wanted them to. They explained everything really well and showed as where the problems were so we could deal with our shop.at home. And to top it off, they only charged us $25, even thought they had basically done all the work for the alignment and spent extra time explaining stuff to us and knowing that we probably wouldnt be coming back. Top notch operation - highly recommended.

This Ted Wiens is the best place in Las Vegas for tires or service on your car. I had to have my tires checked to see if the air pressure was ok and the oil checked. Israel serviced my truck and I was in and out in no time. He is the the best for any repairs and if you need new tires this is the place. Today I met Kim the manager and she was so nice and helpful. I let her know that one of the best things I did was to get a Ted Wiens credit card. I would recommend to all my family and friends to take their car for any repairs and tires to this Ted Wiens. Kim and Israel are the best.

Brought my car in for transmission check. The guy told me they could check it, but possibly wont be able to fix it as it may be out of their scope. He suggested just bring it to Aamco because they can check it and fix it. He said he was more than happy to take my money to check if thats what I wanted, but it was up to me. I was very appreciative of his honesty.

The mechanic service was great I didnt care for the customer service he wasnt doing his job well my car had been finished i only had an oil change and the customer service guy was in another world he wasnt that busy i got tired of looking at my car just sitting there and went to his desk and he had a stack of finished cars he gave me my keys didnt apologize or nothing its to hot and its Corona season he needs to do better its not a hard position.

Hans did great. Always I go here. I went to another mechanic, they gave me a laundry list of stuff to fix. Took my car to here, got the real rundown and like $200 cheaper. Always take care of me here, ignore everyone who says they dont like the management or communication. I have never had a reason to worry coming here.

This place has some cleaning up to do with their customer service skills. Walked in, instead of being greeted I had to greet the front desk person who was facing the opposite direction and barely bothered to turn around. I wish I would have gotten his name down but he was not courteous at all. As we tried to explain our situation all he had to say was “Just because you have the parts doesn’t mean that the problem will go away and I can’t give you any warranties.” Laying out some options for us would have been nice but he did not seem very interested—annoyed almost—to be talking to us. Being from out of town and being redirected by the Auto Zone up the street to come and do business with this location had me sold, until the customer service lacked.

Had a very poor experience with the manager of this establishment who insisted on upselling me run-flats even though my car had all conventional tires and only needed one changed. He then refused to sell me a matching tire even though they had one in stock and became very hostile with his employee when he was trying to help me. Luckily I Was able to go to a tire shop nearby which was very nice and changed my tire quickly with no hassle.. I would not recommend going here.

When you travel and experience auto problems you are faced with unexpected repairs.I had the good fortune to take my car to Ted Weins tire and auto.A Firestone store.I had a oil leak after a oil change the day before arriving in Las Vegas.I was able to get service the same day.Iwas told that the oil filter was not installed properly.The filter was replaced and In was given a detailed receipt to take to my previous vendor.I was charged $24. Unbelievable.I cannot express my gratitude to find a business with fast ,efficient ,and courteous employees.The public relations I experienced was 5star+.Its refreshing to find a business that does not take advantage of travelers auto repairs.Thanks again Ill happily give referrals.

Stopped across the street for this Ted Weins on my way to my second day of work. My battery died and the roadside assistance was an hour away. I stopped over and was greeted by Ozzie the service manager. He grabbed the jump pack and came to my vehicle. He identified the cause of the battery issue and rather than try and get a sale from me noted the battery was still under warranty from auto zone and told me where the nearest one was. Saved me from looking bad at my new job!

I use to come in here all the time with my BMW and loved the place. Spent good money but felt like I was taken care of. Well time passed and traded the BMW in for an Escape.Naturally some time passed before I had to go back in. Brought the Escape in for some work and it seemed like all new employees which scared me. Sure enough they charged me for an ac check up and could not fix it. Now the heats on and I m feeling it. All I think about now is the charge for work never done!!! Just can not seem to go back to this place anymore.

I brought my 2008 Prius here with a coupon I had for a free oil change. When I got there they told me they no longer were accepting the coupon. I was super put out by that, but instead of doing nothing, the guy behind the counter pointed me to a new coupon for a free oil change! That was totally unexpected and very much appreciated! This was my first time coming to this location and I will definitely be bringing any future business for my or my husbands cars here! Thank you for renewing my trust in auto shops :-)

My family had a 3 days new year vacation at Las Vegas. My car was running along fine from San Diego to Las Vegas, but I noticed that the car started to overheat at The Strip during the heavy traffic jam at the Treasure Island Casino streets. I stopped my car on the roadside for about 15 minutes to have the engine cool down a bit as I drove from one casino to another all night long. The following day, we drove over an hour to Valley of Fire State Park to have at look the park with car running fine. And in the third day, my wife suggested to have the car checked by the auto repair shop for safety hazards before we drove home because I have a small child on board. We stopped at TED WIENS Auto Repair shop next to Chinatown for repair. The service guy told me that I needed to do a complete electronic diagnosis which cost $100, then I was told about 20 minutes later that the car needed to have the water pump and fan clutch replaced which priced at $1000 including parts and labor and timed at 4 to 5 hours. I agreed to let them to do the job while my family could visit Chinatown. My family came back after a few hours to the car shop while I periodically checked in to see the progress, but I noticed the repair man was shining a flash light in my car and nothing more. After the five hours, the repairmen said my car was done and they needed to take the car for a test drive. But actually they didnt do anything except having the car sit in the garage until the shop closed at 5 oclock. Then they told me the water pump and fan clutch job was done but the car had another problem and wasnt running at all! They requested me to pay extra money to fix the car if I wanted the car engine running at all when it was running fine in the morning besides the overheating problem. They claimed to have ordered a new crank sensor for my car since it was a new problem right away since their shop was closing very soon. I had no choice to pay an extra $170 for this problem as they said they did me a favor. After this ordeal, the problem wasnt fix as my check engine light remained on after they said they replaced the crank sensor yet the check engine light remained on... Again they told me that the car still has problems which made the check engine light remain on and was not cover for what I just paid for. They said they didnt know the problem yet and that the car may need a major tune up or some other repair until the check engine light would turn off. I realized I was trapped in a dangerous situation and told my wife we better to go as soon as possible to avoid any more problems coming. Finally I had to pay more than $1200 to have my car back with the check engine light still on... Thank God my family could drive back to San Diego at midnight safely. As I talked to the local auto mechanics and friends in San Diego, I was told that I paid too much extra money for the job because it seemed impossible to a car need major fix can carry 5 persons with a lot of personal items on board running from Las Vegas to Valley of Fire totaling over 100 miles without problems. I advocate another repair shop as I truly felt cheated and not the integrity I look for in people.

Had a flat tire and came in for a repair and Ozzie helped me out immediately and got my tire repaired quickly!

The service is horrible! I requested an estimate for service at the beginning of the week and never got a response. I also requested to schedule an appointment and never got a response even though both times was told I would. When I finally called they gave me an estimate and told me the service would take 2-3 hours max. It took over 6 hours!! I was the first person there at 7 am! No one ever gave me an update on the time frame, or progress so instead of taking a cab home I sat there the whole time. I was late to work because of this. I wouldnt let my worst enemy bring their car here due to lack of service. If you say you will email back, make sure you actually do. The website is a waste of time.

The staff is generally friendly and knowledgeable. They offer deals for oil changes, and they will perform a free inspection of your vehicle while you wait. Some of their suggested maintenance items are overkill, but they cover the important items too.

I had a work truck that kept dying on me. I had to go to 3 other stores before I could find a shop that would even look at the battery on a diesel truck. My employers were pushing for a quick fix as the truck needed to be used the next day so they requested that we just install a new battery. This shop complied in a timely manner. I was personally worried because I thought maybe there was actually an issue with the alternator so I went back later to see if they would just check it for my own piece of mind. They informed me that checking the alternator was part of the standard procedure when replacing the battery and that it had looked good. They totally could have gouged me and charged a fee to look at it again, but they were honest and I greatly appreciated that. I will bring the truck here again for any future issues.

I purchased a pair of tires and had them install it. I was quoted a price but the tires were not in stock so I paid and had them installed the following day. I realized the price quote included $7.50/tire nitrogen fill I did not request. Instead of a complete refund, I was countered a $6 up charge for low profile tires install/balance. The person that sold me the tires absolutely knew the size of the tires. This is a very shady practice, I should of been informed of the change in labor fees prior to the service. I obviously cant argue $6 after the service has been performed. I didnt even waste my breath, and the person was not even apologetic of the mistake in the quote.

You think that this tire store could do all sorts of tires balancing but they cant something needs to change. I lost my business for off-road tires have to go to a small tire shop they get it done

Truthfully disgusted with this place. The WORST customer service I have ever experienced. Not only have they messed up my car once, but TWICE. I have spent thousands of dollars on them with my trust. And their first mistake was “fixing my breaks” apparently blindfolded because they missed bulps on them. What was their excuse? you may ask, the man said “oh we get really busy and our staff does the best they can” hmmm interesting right ? As if I was given free service . Then I purchased a NEW transmission for $3,000 only for them to tell me I need a new one not even 3 months later. Please even if this place offered free service DO NOT TAKE IT . If you have any respect for yourself and your car avoid this place .

I wish I could give below one star.I went to Ted Wiens because I was given a coupon for a free oil change because my car needed it, and I went in and was told the wait would only be 1.5 hours. I left to go eat and came back, and then THREE HOURS LATER, one of the mechanics came to me and said heres all the things that need to be done on your vehicle when I was not told an all-over inspection was going to be done, at all. I did not ask for the inspection. I told them, sorry but I can literally only afford the oil change right now, nothing else. So I finally get my car back and drive to Wal-Mart to pick up some things before picking up my partner from work. When I came out, my car would not start, at all. I had to walk home in over 100 degree heat over a mile to get the other car so I could pick up my partner. When my partner called, he asked about what was done to the car since it was running fine until we took it to that place. He called more than once because we were told we could bring it back to them and they would fix it, but I said I would not want to go back there since it was highly suspicious that suddenly after visiting and denying over $1,000 of repairs that I could not afford, my car suddenly would not start. Every time my partner called, the womans story changed as well, and she dodged a lot of his questions.I towed it to another mechanic and he told me that the bolts on my starter were loose. My starter was put in by a mechanic I knew personally several months ago, so there is no reason it should have been loose. I find it highly suspicious that they supposedly did a thorough inspection of my car and mentioned all of these things and never mentioned anything about the bolts on my starter being loose. I can only conclude that my bolts were loosened purposefully so that I would return to give them more business. I will never use a Ted Wiens again, especially this location, and will urge others to stay away from them as well because this endangered me and my partner by not having a car and having to walk through that heat.The tow and the other mechanic cost me $89 together and missing a full day of work because of it. My car has been running perfectly fine since I went to the other mechanic, so Im pretty sure it was tampered with at this location.

Surely this is not the place to take your car to fix. There are many great locations which will take care of your business well, but NOT THIS PLACE.I took my car with one of those Coupon things to get an oil change they told me i had to wait more than 1 hour possibly 2, so i said what if i make an appointment they said that will be the way to if i dont want to wait to long, so i made the appointment for the following day at 9AM. I went there and they kept me for over an hour and finally they came out without changing oil and said they cant open that thing to get the old oil out. Really??????they wasted my time for over an hour and without getting things done.very sad

Ill keep it short and just say that I doubt Ill go back there!UPDATE : After speaking with the manager, Im SURE that I wont be going back to ANY of these repair shops again! Manager just blamed the parts supplier and me! AFTER I complained they offered me the senior discount. TOO old to play games!!

I just went to get a new battery. Got one for under $100 (Did NOT pay for installation) I was in and out in about 1 hour. They were very straight forward and honest with me.I will definitely be coming back should I ever have problems with my car again.

These dolts are the worst when it comes to costumer service. They give you a time estimate and when that changes by several hours, no one calls you to inform you that there is a problem so dont waste your time coming in for your car because it is not ready.

Omg she is very sweet and kind , i went there for an alignment but somehow i have to be scheduled for the next day cause it was late already, 7am was there waiting on this amazing lady !!! I went in for a grinding on my wheel when turn the steering wheel...it turned out tobe a worn bearing in the axle seal....the Tech said he will fixit but it will cost you 365.00 for parts and labour but when i went to pick up the car, he said, he made mistake by giving me a wrong estimate..so ended up up charge me another 300 something dollars....this shop has bad way not being clear on their estimate quotes...its like game to them.PS: I filed a complaint with the Consumer Affairs and Compliance Enforcement Division and others to look into it...so stay tuned for the verdict..******PLEASE STAY CLEAR OF THIS SHOP...YOU BEEN WARNED********

You will over pay at Ted Wiens! I went here to repair a flat tire. The Service Technician told me that I had to buy a new replacement tire, because the puncture hole was outside the repair area. I could see myself where the screw was lodged in the tire, which was in the middle of the tread, therefore I went 50 yards down the street to Spring Mountain Tires & Brakes, who charged me $15 for a repair and had me in and out in 20 minutes (Nothing wrong with the tire, simple repair).

Took my 03 Honda Civic in to get the transmission fluid changed. They charged me for 16 quarts. After researching I found out my car only holds 2-4 quarts. Also, my car is currently not running, I dont what they did but it wasnt put 16 quarts of transmission fluid. Was charged $182.

The place is pretty close our home but Ive never gone there before, a neighbor recommended we go here for our next service, and they did a really great job. I like that they are local as well, makes me feel a lot better supporting a local business.
