We ended up not being able to get our vehicle fixed. For our own personal reasons but let me say this. They are the most friendliest folks I have met at any business. I mean they we just so nice to us and explained everything to us with no problem. Although we didn’t use there service. I would still recommend these guys, simply because of how comfortable they make you feel.

My 2010 F350 diesel went into Limp Mode when hauling a heavy load, so I took it to the Rockdale, TX Ford dealer. After looking at it for 15 minutes, they said I needed a new transmission for $5500. I then took it to AAMCO in College Station, TX where Marcos and his excellent diesel mechanic quickly determined it was NOT the transmission, but that I only needed the software updated in the engine computers. I cost me $279 for diagnostics and updating! I recommend AAMCO College Station for any repair on any vehicle, they are very professional and honest!

I have used AMCO on multiple occasions and they have always fixed the problem. The workers are a Godsend, kind and more than willing to work around complications. I will continue to use AMCO for any further car problems. Fair prices too!

Got my transmission serviced and they were quicker than expected, gave me a student discount, and were super kind to me.

Marcos was very helpful and informative. I had taken my car to the dealership but it seemed like they werent looking out for my best interests. AAMCO had my car for a few weeks as they had to deal with my extended warranty company before they could order the part, but the labor was done in a timely manner. I had a good experience with them during a stressful situation.

Went for a transmission check. The mechanic who test-drove the car with me was very professional and patient. But the guy in the office is very rude. I understand he is busy with lot of customers, but no reason to be rude. I did not pursue the repairs with them. He acted like they are the only shop in town doing transmission repairs.

I made a schedule with AAMCO, College Station ,Texas for my 2015 Honda CR-v on 5/25/21 for a second opinion regarding a leak, front pump seal diagnosed by Allen Honda on 12/08/2020, and fixing the problem was estimated by Honda at $1,486.78. AAMCO performed vehicle courtesy check concluding, quote: Minor oil grime sitting settled between the engine and transmission. Pump seal or rear main seal do not show signs of leaking. I appreciated their fair and honest evaluation by their free courtesy check, which save me a lot of money to fix the imaginary leaking..

Marcus was so polite and helpful! After running over a curb, I was worried I’d damaged the brakes/undercarriage of the car. They did a full check of the car FREE OF CHARGE, and then were 100% honest when they didn’t find anything wrong. I don’t know anything about cars, so they certainly could’ve charged me for something I didn’t need, but they didn’t!! Marcus even stayed late when I was running behind so that I would be able to pick up my car!Very professional, very courteous service, I will definitely be going back to them for any car troubles I have!

I highly recommend this place! I took my car in back in March to have the brakes and rotors done. Over time I noticed there being some issues with the breaks. I took it back in and they took time to troubleshoot and research what could be causing the issue. They finally not only solved the problem, but had the parts brought in that same day from Houston and had my car ready to go that evening. They didnt charge me a dime for the man hours to make the swap out on my breaks. Not only did they make it right, but they are just good honest people. Thank You!!

Fast, reasonable and great service!My alternator died, so I took my car to where I bought it. Not only did they take for ever just to give me an evaluation and quote, the also charged me a ridiculous amount of money for just an alternator.I called Scott here at AAMCO and he was super diligent and great! The staff, including GM is very nice and professional. On my first car, they detected serious problems just having a general look and of course free of charge. On my second car, I took a Toyota Camrey that I was planning to purchase from a dealership to them, and they again checked it and detected burnt fluid transmission and recommended not to buy. I am happy that i i followed their advice. They again did this inspection for free. It is a very nice place and highly recommended.

Do your research this is the worst AAMCO in Texas. Had my transmissionrebuilt two years a ago. it gave out again so i took it to a San Antonioone and come to find out College Station missed washers and put in wrong springs which resulted in tearing up everything. corporate called them and they pretty much said we dont have a builder so there is noting we can do.people like this should not even be in business if they dont know what they are doing.you say you would like to help out but after Corporate Aamco and theSan Antonio Aamco called you they were told theres is nothing you would do to help. Thank God the owner of the San Antonio branch is cutting me a sweet deal with 3 times the warranty and less then half the price. He isa true business owner that cares for the work his guys do..

Thomas quoted me $200 to figure out why my 2001 Ford focus wasnt starting, and kept the quote even the he had to call in an engine specialist for compression testing. Turns out the engine was FUBARd, but he kept his word. Now I go to these guys for routine oil changes and general inspections, which is how I know I need to keep an eye on my passenger rear wheel bearing on my Prius!

They did an excellent job servicing the truck and rebuilding the transmission - they kept me updated throughout the process and had the truck completed in exactly the time frame they gave me. When we went to pick up the truck there was no hidden fees or extra costs. Buyer Beware: do a google search for AAMCO complaints and you will see that this company has a rap sheet a mile long for bait and switch tactics. I just fell for one where they gave me a quote for 950 up front then switched it to 1900 plus extra labor rebuilding a transmission after the work started.

They were really helpful. I was having a lot of issues with my vehicle. They diagnosed them and gave me an estimate, but encouraged me to shop around for a new car. I had never bought a new car, so they helped me understand the process and told me I could get a lot more for my trade-in than I would have thought. In the end, they helped me save several hundred dollars on my new car plus all of the money I would have dumped in to my old car if they hadnt advised me to ditch it. They didnt charge me anything throughout the entire process. I really appreciate the honesty, especially because I know it was not in their financial interest to tell me to stop putting money into my old car. Thanks again!

Think my transmission is still broken

I went to an auto part store to get my battery replaced, but my cars battery placement was too complex for them to do so I had to take it into a shop. The next morning, I called AAMCO to see if they could get it done right then when I walked in and although they were slammed with other customers, they took care of it in 30 minutes since they knew I had to be in at work by 9! Great customer service and the price was fair. Came here once before for my AC and also had a great experience. Definitely recommend.

Scott the manager at AAMCO is a wonderful dude! He always takes great care of my car, and has wonderful customer service. If you need your car fixed I highly recommend coming to these guys! Scott is one of the first mechanics I talked to that I dont feel like is trying to screw me over and charge or add services that are not needed.

This is by far the best place to take your car for repair in college station. We ALWAYS get right in and are able to know whats wrong with our vehicle the same day. We are always given options on how to fix what is wrong. The prices are always fare and what we are quoted is always the price we pay. Its nice to have an honest and friendly place to go to! I was leaving a friends apartment and found myself stuck in reverse in the middle of street, yikes! After calling late on a Friday night, Scott answered and was extremely helpful. I had my truck towed in and kept in touch with him throughout the week. Being a poor college student I feared it was the transmission, but came to find out that it was the shifter cable instead. I am fairly car savvy but did some research. I compared prices, watched videos, and made sure they werent jipping me. He told it would be around 700 for the part and labor. I got my truck a week later and was greeted by Scott with a smile, he said it had only come out to 230. They could have taken advantage of my situation, and maybe they did. But I felt it was fantastic customer service with an honest shop.

I took my car in with a busted radiator. I called 11 other places in the B/CS area as well, and the ones that would give me a price quote told me anything from $358 all the way up to $426. At AAMCO, they did it for $295, and did a bit extra just because it was a quick fix and not a lot of trouble.The two people I interacted with (James and the tech that worked on my car) were professional, pleasant guys that knew their stuff. And more importantly, seem to understand that auto repair is about making the people feel better, not just the car. THAT is what I appreciated the most. Oh, the drop off & pick-up was quick, and even nicer than that, they didnt let me walk back home!

Fantastic service! I have an old vehicle (1999) and needed a new radiator. Not only did they have the radiator replaced within the day they also found an oil leak and after consulting me found a cheap solution. Very fair prices and wonderful customer service. Since I took my car in during the school/work week friends were all busy, so they gave me a ride back to my apartment so I didnt have to walk to the bus stop and ride the bus for an hour to get home. Great service and friendly owner. The AC went out on my truck, and it turned out there were several things wrong with the unit. I had to go back several times (because of my schedule), but they got everything fixed quickly and for a decent price. Definitely give them a look.

I went in to obtain a quote on servicing my vehicle but quickly left when I witnessed the owner get into an argument with another customer. It seemed that he charged her twice the price for a part that he passed off as a high quality item but it wasn’t. He wouldn’t own up to it, he then threatened to void her warranty if he refunded her any portion of the overcharged part. When she asked for the refund he refused to give it to her and then proceeded to void her warranty any way and call the cops if she didn’t leave. I would stay far a away from this place.

I saw a $19.95 oil change advert on Facebook and tried them out since they were close to my home. Service was very prompt and fast, very customer friendly environment and they take pride in what they do by explaining in details about their findings on your car. I brought my friend the third day for a similar service and now i am back with my second car for oil change and recharge the cooling system.Hopefully should be back in few days to have my Freon job completed as my car is not cooling yet ( probably an electrical issue ), they promised to conduct some checks on Monday since it was getting late on Friday evening.Overall, its an excellent experience at a very reasonable price.

I took my truck to have a belt replaced and could not be more happy about the service I received. Scott was very helpful and when I asked about transmission service he gave me his honest opinion about what I was asking and advised me against it. He very well could have just sold the service for the extra money but he didnt. I will take my vehicles here as long as I live in BCS.

These folks are the only ones I go to in the BCS area. I dont trust many people to take care of my vehicle, but Scott and the guys here are top notch.He will shoot you straight, and really takes the time to treat you like you are the most important person at that moment.

Went to get the brake pads replaced on a Chevy Trailblazer and the service blew me away!! The gentlemen who assisted me were honest and completely helpful. They get their parts from Autozone so the parts have a lifetime warranty. The labor cost was so reasonable I ended up paying more for the parts than any labor. While they were there I had them replace items on my A/C system, saving over 50% from the dealer quote! As part of the free multi-point inspection they also noticed a bent bolt that was from a repair over two years ago (something never noticed from anyone else who serviced the truck). They replaced the bolt free of charge! Theres nowhere else I will go to anymore after the incredible service and staff!

I want to say a huge thank you to AMMCO!. I set up an appointment to have them check my A/C system since it stopped blowing cold. Knowing it could be something simple to something major, I knew it at the least it would need a A/C service. Well turns out the problem is quite simple thankfully and I have peace of mind since I will have to travel out of town soon. They were honest and I plan to be a return customer for sure. Yall rock!

Went in because I started my truck early one morning and it started making a horrible grinding noise. Dropped it off at AAMCO that morning without an appointment, and by that afternoon, they had taken care of me. They were unable to identify the problem or re-create the issue, so they let me roll out of there free of charge. They treated me fairly and were not going to BS me. I will continue going back to this shop again and again.

No bimmers should get in this store ever, they dont even understand the problem as we ourselves do. I spent over four days in total dropping off my car at their place for some regular problems that I once spent around 100 bucks to get rid of, they keep postponing my repair, and can never get to the point, replaced the battery for a speed sensor problem and claimed everything is electric , which is really expensive and not even one problem is solved as a result. Totally disappointed, I would rather they told me they are not able to fix the problem the first time I come.
