I was told that my car would require synthetic oil which would be $80. This is already a pretty exaggerated price for synthetic oil, but I went ahead with the oil change since I had no time to find another place. In total, I ended up getting charged $95 and the paper had a long list of things that they supposedly checked like the filters but I know they did not because I was watching them change the oil from inside my car. I would avoid this overpriced place.

On March 30th I took my 2006 Elantra for a routine oil change. Once completed the manager took my credit card and asked me to pull around to the front and wait. He gave me my receipt and the charge was $89.00. I immediately went inside and asked the manager why he charged so much. He said he put synthetic oil and charged me a $15.00 high mileage fee. I told him my car didn’t have synthetic oil, which my last oil change sticker clearly showed standard 5w/20 oil, and he didn’t ask if he could put synthetic oil in. He apologized and told me to go back the following day and he would give me $89.00 worth of services for free. I went back and he wasn’t there. The assistant manager said this is something the manager does all the time and has been told to stop. The assistant manager called him and told him I was there. The manager told the assistant manager to put a/c coolant in my car. I told the assistant manager I didn’t need coolant and I didn’t want them touching my car. I told them I wanted my money back. I was only willing to pay for a standard oil change. He called the district manager and after about an hour gives me $30.00 cash. Very unprofessional and poor customer service. I will never go there again and would not recommend this place to anyone.

Brought my camaro in for an oil change. I keep my car detailed and very clean. Gary told me the oil change would cost about $85-90 for synthetic oil and he was “over-estimating” the price. Gary told me it would be 15-20 minutes. I dropped it off at 2:30p and it wasn’t ready until 3:47p.I wasn’t upset about the wait so much as when I went to pick up my car. There was oil on the exterior car door, the window, the interior car door, the gear stick, and steering wheel. When I told the cashier about it he had someone go outside with one paper towel and poorly wipe it off still leaving alot of residue. Absolutely careless.As if this wasn’t unprofessional enough, he then told me the price of the oil change was $130.60 but that he would knock $30 off “for the inconvenience” when I was originally priced $85-90.DO NOT COME HERE! When I pulled in, there was 2 people ahead of me. Over an hour later they finally started my oil change. Unfortunately this is a weekend and my normal place is closed. I had to wait. But I DONT have to come back!!

I have been a customer of this location since 2013. They have since sold and the new manager is a scam. He was trying to tell me that the oil in my car was low due to a leak. There is no leak. After I told him my car has alot of miles and it just burns and I add oil every 1000 miles or so, it became a mute point. I wouldn’t let them do anything other than oil because of the level of dishonesty. I haven’t driven my care much due to work reduction and there is NO oil in my driveway what so ever.

Do Not go here anymore. I have been using this location for 8 years and I dont know if management changed or what but my lass service there this morning was terrible. They managed to leave 3 good sized gashes in my steering wheel and a large black streak in the head liner above the door. I went in and let them know they should have their guys be more careful because they destroyed my steering wheel but they didnt seem to care.

Issue was fixed within 24 hours and I paid about $450 for a power steering hose system replacement. Staff was friendly and informative throughout the process. Theyve always given me good work and my favorite thing about them is they have been honest with me. When I was new to the diesel world I had some air in my fuel lines. One place gave me a quote of $2100 to replace the fuel pump (which is complete crap) and when I took it to Kwik Kar they showed me how to prime it (a quick fix) and I left without having to pay a dime. Other times Ive taken it in for an oil change a little early and they werent afraid to tell me it was too early. I appreciate that Honesty!

I used to love coming here up until recently. This place has gone down hill. They lack people skills and understanding of urgency. My last visit consisted of me getting a new battery place in that took them over 2 hours to do. Granted I do have a Chrysler and they are more complex than most cars when it comes to the battery. However, it only took 30 minutes for my battery to be changed when I had it done before. On top of that, they charged $100 an hour. The service costed more than the battery! I recommend going any place else than Kwik Kar.

Horrible experience. Even worse response by Kwik Kar owners to justify situation. On Monday, Jan. 15, 2018 I had a $108.96 oil change done on my 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee. A few days later, every drop had drained from my Jeep leaving oil all over my garage floor. I was not able to drive or crank my Jeep, as the engine was bone dry. Since Kwik Kar was closed my boyfriend found the source of the leak (the filter gasket was broken); he replaced my oil, filter, and cleaned my garage floor with kitty liter. Fortunately for Kwik Kar, I did not have to have the Jeep towed back to their shop nor rent a car. They should be so appreciative that we were able to handle the situation without much cost.After calling Kwik Kar the next day, I was told to call back Monday to speak to the owner. Ultimately, the owners wife told me I needed to bring the Jeep back, along with the faulty filter. I had to dig through my trash can to bring her evidence and drive back to their shop and sit in the waiting room for them to investigate the incident. The owners wife then had the nerve to ask me to give them the $6 15/16” socket we had to buy in order to remove the oil filter, so they could keep it! What an absurd request!! How incredibly mercenary, that you ask for me to give you the socket we had to buy to remove the oil filter! Ive already dealt with a horrible experience late at night that left me in a panic, cleaned up oil from my garage, dug through my city trash bin to fetch her evidence, driven back across town to their shop yet again, and now she wants me to give her the $6 socket?!Ultimately, she docked $26 off the total reimbursement for an air filter and, NEVER APOLOGIZED FOR WHAT HAPPENED. Oh, and wrote the check to wrong payee and told me that was her only check, therefore she couldn’t fix it. Seriously? I was so angry, I had to leave before I did something I would regret.I understand that bad things happen in the service industry, but its how you respond to them that shows your character and sincerity. I will NOT do business here ever again. Had she simply been nice, apologized, and reimbursed me for the mess that her employees caused, I would have never bothered to write a nasty review.

Got my oil changed here and had a good experience. They told me about how much it would cost beforehand (based on type of oil) and changed it quick. Everyone was friendly and they even informed me that some threads fell out when they unscrewed the drain plug (someone tightened it too tight after a previous oil change). Four stars because it was a tad more expensive than other places but not by much.

Great service when I had the oil change done. drove the truck for three weeks and all of a sudden no oil pressure and engine started knocking. I checked the stick and no oil was showing. I had to add 3 quarts of oil. THIS truck has no oil leaks and has never used any oil. Talked to the Manager and he stated that it was probably sludge in the oil pan causing the oil to stay at the top of the motor. I had it towed to another shop and the mechanic pulled the oil pan off and there was no sludge and it was full of metal shavings. He said this is caused from low or no oil. Kwik Car had their insurance come take a look and even with a mechanic saying low oil or no oil caused it they will not help. So I am stuck with a bad engine that is going to cost over $6500.00 to fix

It took them an hour to figure out what size oil filter my car needed. One of the employees even had to drive to a nearby parts store to get one but it still wasnt correct. They made me very late for an important meeting and only offered a $10 discount for the extreme delay and lack of professionalism. I could hear employees yelling at each other outside and then they interrupted me while I was on the phone letting my boss know I was running late. Wont be going here again!

Went to get an oil change and inspection. There was a $25 upcharge for the oil and that wasnt explained to me. I asked for a discount because that wasnt explained and the owners said no. They said they would DRAIN THE OIL AND USE IT AGAIN for someone else. They would rather take out the oil that was already in my truck and put in cheaper oil than give me a discount for their screw up. Also, I would never reuse oil even if it had less than a mile on it. So much stuff can be picked up from being in a running engine even if it hasnt gone anywhere. Kwik Kar college station has lost a customer for good.

I paid $42 for a full service oil change. Girl behind the counter was zoned out and more interested in Girl Meets World on the TV. Guy in the garage was yelling about how he hated College Station.Apparently full service does not include checking tires, vacuuming, or washing windshields as the receipt suggests. They over-filled the oil.When I returned to complain, the girl behind the counter now had actual white powder smeared on her face around her nose. And of course, the guy who hates College Station is the manager. His excuses were, the vacuums been broke for 2 years, your brand of car always reads over-full on the dipstick and I cant get good help. He offered no more than a token apology and a Ill give you a discount next time with no actual coupon of any kind. Im just supposed to ask for him and trust that a guy who cant remember to check the tire pressure will remember me in 3 months or 3000 miles.To his credit, his line about my brand of vehicle always reading over-full on the dipstick is technically true. It does. WHEN YOU PUT TOO MUCH OIL IN THE ENGINE. Apparently he thought I looked like an incompetent fool because thats the only type of person who would believe that.I am never going back to this place. Not even for a state inspection.

WRECKED MY CAR. Took my car in for a routine oil change, and while I was waiting, one of the shop employees (not even in uniform, rather boots and jeans) calls for my attention only to tell me that hes so sorry for wrecking into a parked car while pulling out of the service bay. Manager on site offered to take full responsibility (as they should) yet the owner decided to tell me on the phone that if I want my car fixed, Im going to have to do it myself. He completely denied responsibility and refused to file an insurance claim in order to pay for the damages his employee had caused. Terrible ownership and mediocre staff. Dont visit here unless you plan on paying out of pocket for any damages they cause.

Asked them to change the transmission fluid. I have a GM TH400 - as straight forward as it gets when it comes to transmissions. Their most experienced guy did the work while I watched from the waiting room. After taking it home, I noticed there was significant bubbles in the fluid. I assumed it would go away in a day or so.When driving to and from campus, it would occasionally (once per trip) act like it slipped into neutral for a brief second. There were still bubbles, so I decided to top up the fluid to attempt to fix the problem. After a few weeks, I finally took it to Oliver brothers transmission shop in Bryan to check the work.It turns out the best mechanic at Kwik Kar blatantly botched the job. The pickup tube didnt have an o-ring and washers were added to the filter to tighten it up. This explains why I was seeing air bubbles in my fluid! Its amazing the transmission was even able to operate without an o-ring sealing the pickup tube connection. And if that wasnt enough, he obviously didnt know what he was doing by trying to tighten the filter up to the valve body instead of letting it hang down in the transmission pan as it was designed. I hate to know what the non-experienced mechanics do...Oliver bros found a noticeable amount of clutch material in the pan after only a couple weeks or so of driving in that condition.I will never step foot there again, I wouldnt trust them with any mechanic work. Their experienced mechanic blatantly screwed up what should have been a very routine fluid swap and filter change. Hopefully you will learn from my mistake and go somewhere else.My only regret is not taking it into Oliver brothers sooner. I definitely shaved years off the life of my transmission by driving it in that condition for a couple weeks (school was keeping me busy).Since redoing their work, the transmission is still going strong, a year later.

1 hr for oil change, $45 conventional oil, forgot to reset maintenance light, not open sunday, made me worried sick about why my lights were on but cant go back to them cause they closed, counter girl change my sticker, not even sure if they really changed my oil, one might thought the other did but light not reset.

I was from out of town when my radiator cracked open and spilled its guts. I immediately pulled into Kwik Kar and they replaced the radiator and had me back on the road within a few hours.

These people have just lost a 2 year customer. I just replaced a $900 drive shaft that THEY where suppose to be greasing the U joints. Never ever ever ever going back. I wish I kept up with my records, because I would make them pay for it.
