If I could give 6 stars, I would. I came here for a state vehicle inspection to renew my registration. My car failed inspection because there was moisture inside my headlight. I asked how much it would be to order a part and replace it and they told me nearly $600!! Yikes.. cue broke-college-student panic. They must have seen it on my face, because they offered to find me a used part and install it for: $230! State inspection included! They were super kind throughout the whole process, and when the part arrived it was installed in under and hour! I would absolutely recommend Pilgers over any old chain auto parts store ANYDAY. Amazing local business!

It can be difficult to find service minded companies in todays world of corporate chain stores and internet commerce. My career requires a lot of travel to properties and towns all across the state of Texas.I depend upon the reliability of my vehicle greatly. The fine folks at Pilgers do a great job of understanding my tire needs for my vehicle as well as my families vehicles, their pricing is competitive and their service is outstanding! They also provide the service work for my Ford F250 and keep me going down the road safely. I highly recommend their products and services!

I came here with a brake problem, spent almost $500, and left with an even bigger problem that they failed to diagnose correctly. I was completely taken advantage of as a college student coming in clearly very concerned about my vehicle and they paid no attention to my concerns. Instead, they completely overcharged me and messed something else up in my car causing it to break down on me the same day I picked it up from the shop, after telling me it was safe to drive!!!!!Bottom line is: they created other problems in my car that were NOT an issue before I brought it here, AND failed to diagnose the correct problem. They do not seem to know what they are doing and I felt very uncomfortable through the whole process.

Google tells me 180-200 to change spark plugs on a 2015 Chevy impala. This place tells me 500 +

They are the best non-dealer service and they are very good at it, cost is moderate, they are good in diagnostics and fixing most problems, not very crowdy but sometimes they are. The most finest part is they are very helpful especially the elderly one.

What a wonderful experience. I recently moved to College Station and had a need for some scheduled maintenance on a 10 year old vehicle. I contacted the dealer and received conflicting estimates, which made me uncomfortable.Pilgers was recommended to me, so I went by to get an estimate. What a great first impression; clean shop, orderly office and friendly staff. Their estimate was competitive and based on the recommendation I had received, I decided let them do the work.Boy, was I ever happy with the result. It turned out that what was required was less than the estimate and all that savings was passed through to me. They did the work quickly, were very pleasant to deal with and saved me quite a bit over the dealer estimate. They have definitely earned my business going forward.

Pilger tire has been owned and operated by the same folks for as long as I can remember. Theyre honest folks that do good work in a timely manner. On the off chance they dont have the tire you need, they can get it in quickly. They always try to get the best deal for every budget. They also do vehicle repair and pretty much anything you need to keep your car or truck on the road.

Best experience ever at an auto service center. I had a quote for my AC to be recharged, but I was charged about 20% LESS. The waiting area was clean and very nice. It only took about 15 minutes (seemed like 5) and the AC blew ice cold after. I definitely had a great experience. I will go back again when my car or my kids cars need help and I recommend Pilgers to anyone needing auto service.

Paid 50 dollars more for my oil change here than I did at Pep Boys. They replaced my brake fluid when my pads were nearly metal to metal, never notified me that my brake pads were low on their life and now I’m out an extra $250 bucks for it. I came here for the good reviews but was thoroughly disappointed with both speed and quality of their work. I do not recommend this place. It will take around than 3-5 hours (on a slow day) to get just an oil change so just be prepared.

Have used their services, several times, since moving to the BCS area, and have been pleased every time. Their staff is terrific and their prices are always good.

I was impressed at how efficient this automotive shop is! I got both of my vehicle inspections done through them. They were very friendly and they have a little kid area in the waiting room (like with books, a few toys, little bitty chairs, etc.). I wasnt in the waiting area long at all, but my young daughter LOVED the waiting area (she didnt want to leave) haha :) I was extremely pleased with the service and would highly recommend this automotive shop to anyone!

These guys are the best. Every time my car has little issues I take it here. They are the friendliest staff of any auto shop in the town and probably the state! Definitely the go to place for auto needs!

Had good inventory of parts

I have been a Pilgers Tire & Auto Center customer for over a decade. They are the best in the business and have always treated me like family. I recommend them to everyone; there is no reason to go anywhere else. They do a superb job and I actually trust them with my car.

I have a fairly (almost 20 year) old Chevy, so it tends to have problems and need service fairly frequently. Ever since moving to College Station I have taken it to Pilgers and have never had a bad experience. They are the only place I completely trust to tell me what actually needs to be done and what can just be left alone. If they tell me something needs to be fixed I dont hesitate to believe them for a second. They are always so nice and so friendly and helpful, they even let me bring my dog in when my car decided to start smoking while I had him with me! I recommend them to anyone who asks and I even got my boyfriend to start bringing his Cadillac here and now wont go anywhere else. I am so glad I found this place!

Did a great job of fixing my tire. Estimated time was spot on. Staff was great for putting up with me eating breakfast while I waited there.

Needed my alternator repleced (1.5 hours work tops). They insisted on needing to charge me to test my alternator before changing it...although I just told them to change it....because I wanted it changed. Entire job was going to be almost $700....and the alternator is under warranty. Ive worked on my car for 8 years....I replaced my alternator 2 years ago myself....easy job...took about 45 minutes. The only reason I cant replace it now is that I have an injured shoulder. Took to another repair shop...cost $150.Almost $700 for an alternator is ridiculous.

I started some work on Ball joints on my sons car, I did not had time to complete all of it so I decided to get a quote on the rest of the work from a shop at CS. I received several quotes for ball joints replacement and alignment on a 2002 camaro, Pilgers quoted 1.8 hrs of repairs for 2 new upper ball joints (R,L) and alignment $369.00. I was very cleared the ball joints were ribbed on control arm and they said that was the quote. I agree and send my son to Pilgers, the car arrived to the shop as scheduled, an hour later they called me to say they need to replace the entire upper control arms with bushing and ball joints and almost double the quote!$$$ I said that was not what i asked for and agreed! They said, you can go somewhere else, sirReally! I can see this type of sales tactics and practices to get more money for work and to charge more for unnecessary parts when are not needed.Be careful what you are quoted just to get you there!!

After being lied to and screwed over by my local dodge dealership multiple times, I started taking my car to Pilgers and I will not take it anywhere else! I absolutely love these guys. They are so friendly and I know I can trust them to be honest and do good work on my car. They recently replaced the clutch in my Dart and I couldnt be happier with the work they did. Other auto shops and dealerships lie or try and quote me higher because I am a college aged girl, but not this place.I trust them from everything from oil changes to work on the engine! The previous owner of my car has had a plethora of good experiences here, so I thought I would continue the tradition by bringing my vehicle in when I added one too many quarts of oil (causing it to develop a knicking noise). Pilgers diagnosed it as a lower engine problem; something untreatable; basically, totaled. My experienced neighbor took a listen and believed it to be a lifter sticking. We drained the oil with motor flush, changed the filter, added new oil with a quart of conditioner, and now it is running better than ever.Lastly, Pilgers never gave me a call back; not once. They gave the at-the-time bad news to the previous owner, who told me. Perhaps because the previous owner is older and wiser. Nonetheless, I am the owner, and while I might make mistakes, I still deserve respect. Based on my one experience with Pilgers, I will not be going back.

We brought my daughters car in. They said they needed to replace the starter and battery. The bill was $650!!!! Upon leaching, the AC no longer worked. My daughter took the car straight back And was told it would cost amother $650!!! Really? We too the car to Midas, where we had had it serviced previously and they told us we had đefinitely been scammed! !!! When you look on line at the cost of a starter, its $50, not $330. Shame on you for taking advantage of poor college students and old people!

Forgot to put right clamp on radiator and all the fluid leaked out leaving me overheating my truck terribly. Poor quality. Suggest going somewhere else

I have been using Pilgers Tire & Auto Center for over 10 years, and while I do not like spending time or money for vehicle repairs, it is a pleasure taking my vehicles to Pilgers. The staff is friendly, honest and professional, and I know when I walk out the door, my vehicles are fixed and my time and money was well spent.

Went for front end alignment and ac diagnostics. Left with $70 bill and absolutely nothing completed. I mean nothing. Exact same state as when I dropped it off. They said $450 for hub assambly. It an hour job and $65 part. Why $450?? No alignment done because needs inner tie rod. Less than an hour job and $26 part. $250 quoted?? Then 10 mins on the ac machine to tell me it needs more trouble shooting to find out whats wrong. It cost me $70!!! They didnt give me any idea what was wrong with it yet still quoted me $1,100 to repair it. How is that lossible if you dont even know whats wrong with it yet? Most expensive 10 mins of my life. But what kills me is that I know nothing more than what I already knew. So many good reviews and this happens? Cmon guys....
