Overall I had an amazing experience at Bridal Couture. I purchased my dress back in 2019, but my wedding was postponed three times due to covid. The salon was so accommodating in changing my appointments. I had 4 different fitting appointments and every time I felt that they really listened to my thoughts and the changes I wanted on the dress. The tailoring work was beautiful and I am so happy with the final result!

Bridal Couture was my first appointment and Amy provided exceptional service. We had so much fun and she just made the whole experience amazing. The second bridal salon I went to didn’t provide near as great of service as Amy did.I found a dress at Bridal Couture I loved very much, but it wasn’t quite “the one”. Truthfully, I almost bought it partially because of how amazing Amy was and I trusted her to take care of me all the way through the alteration process. She was very open and honest with her recommendations and I could tell she wasnt just trying to sell me something. So overall, I HIGHLY recommend going here to look for your wedding dress. The selection of dresses was amazing and the experience was phenomenal.

Although I did not find my dress here, I have to give this place its props. Nan knows her stuff. Shes extremely knowledgeable, personable, and professional. Tell her what you want and she will bring that vision alive. Worth visiting.

I loved my experience here. The shop was clean and beautiful. The staff is nice and super helpful. I purchased my wedding dress and had alterations completed with them. I came during a trunk show when there was plenty of dress. They do have a very limited selection and certain designers. I recommend doing your research if their designers are what you want prior to going in.

Jaqueline was wonderful trying to help me find a bridesmaid dress for an upcoming wedding remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic. She responded very quickly to my email and provided me with a lot of options. She went above and beyond for me and I was very thankful for that!

As a bride, one of the most important things is the dress, of course behind who the bride is marrying. This is the stable item at a wedding that everyone looks at and notices about the bride. I had no idea what type of dress I wanted – I just knew it had to have some sparkle. I had set up 10-15 appointments with different salons, however, I only needed one. Bridal Couture of Birmingham is an amazing bridal dress shop. They have a variety of dresses for every style, shape, and size. The customer service you receive is like no other. I am a bride with some curves and was actually dreading dress shopping. However, from the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel flawless. They were always reminding me of how beautiful I am. I remember crying after picking out my dress because at that moment, I felt happy and strong and pretty. And I am so thankful for Bridal Couture and their staff for helping me find my stunning dress and for always reminding me that I am beautiful, even when I didn’t always believe it. That was one of the key reasons I loved this wedding salon – because of how they make you feel. They make you feel on top of the world when I was there trying on my dress – every time – and that is how every bride should feel. I was lucky enough to find a dress through the Hayley Paige trunk show – I did not know what a trunk show was until I was there. Basically, designers send more dresses to the shop. These dresses are only there for a few days and they have some specials going as well. I feel in love with my dress – and I received so many compliments. I also want you to know how invested the staff is. I could really tell they enjoy their job and it makes them happy to make brides happy. I had many appointments from picking out the dress to picking up the dress. Each time I left the shop, I left smiling from ear to ear. They do a wonderful job at making sure your dress is absolutely flawless for your wedding. They did all my alterations as well as steaming the dress right before I picked it up. The owner, Amy, was always making sure it looked perfect. She would study the dress and pick out the smallest imperfections (that most of the time I didn’t even see) and made sure they were fixed. You can find beautiful wedding dresses everywhere, but what you can’t find is the service that Bridal Couture gives you. That is the reason every bride should go visit Bridal Couture of Birmingham. They made me one gorgeous, happy bride and I am beyond thankful for that!

They offer a fantastic selection of styles and designers to choose from.Consultants were very helpful in suggesting styles to meet the brides expectations of her perfect dress.Everyone was so excited when she came out beaming in The Dress!With the wedding date fast approaching we cant wait to she her in her dress.

Eventually had a wonderful time when putting my mind to the task at hand. No cups for water the day we went and crammed into such a tiny space for the bridal party dresses. ( We did have 6 people there). Staff were friendly enough and took lots of pictures for us. Free parking in the lot behind the store.

I could not have been happier with my experience at Bridal Couture. I live out of town, but my family is all in the area so we made an appointment during the day, mid-week. We arrived and the consultant took some information and then we got started. I had an idea of what I wanted (or rather, what I didnt want) and explained that to the consultant. I have a curvy body type so was worried about finding something that would fit and that I would get a good idea of while trying on the dress, but I didnt have any trouble at all!My mom and I went through some of the dresses, picking the ones we liked and the consultant made recommendations as we went. I didnt grab a ton since I didnt want to be overwhelmed! My mom waited in the main area while the consultant and I went to the dressing room. She was super helpful in giving me tips on what could be adjusted with the dress and what it would look like in my size or recommending against certain dresses so we could narrow it down and find the one that was most flattering. She really helped ease my concerns and to find THE dress! We were also able to find jewelry and a veil that went with my dress like they were made for it. I cant imagine if I was trying to do that without having the dress! I also want to thank the other consultant to stepped in to help with her jewelry background. Her input was much appreciated!Once we found the one, we talked about alterations and how we could practically do those since I lived out of town. I ended up coming in twice for fittings which made my family very happy since they got to see me more!! The alternations they did were just perfect. I have a short waist and there were some gaps with the lower back and too much material on the shoulders. All was fixed and looked perfect on the finished product.Incidentally, my mom took some time to look for a dress while I was trying on different gowns. She found a beautiful MOB dress with a jacket that I got to provide input to as well since I was there with her. Score!!Overall, I had an incredible experience with Bridal Couture from start to finish and highly recommend them! The selection was outstanding, the consultants were helpful and knowledgeable and alterations really made me feel like the dress was just for me!

I cant say enough good things about Amy, the owner, and the alterations department! I tried on dresses at multiple bridal salons in different cities, and I had an amazing experience with Amy at Bridal Couture! I ended up trying on my dress at another store, but ordered it from Bridal Couture. Amy also helped me select a custom length veil that I was super happy with! I was a little indecisive during the bridal gown process, and she really helped guide me and put me at ease. I felt like she got to know my personality and vision for the day and I knew I was in good hands at all times. The alterations department did a fabulous job shortening my train and making adjustment to the lining and stitching of my dress. Their prices are very competitive and I felt that every penny I spent on alterations was well worth it! I felt beautiful on my wedding day and am very grateful to Amy and the Bridal Couture team!

Couldnt have chosen a better place to purchase my wedding gown! All of the staff is very helpful and mindful of your budget and likes/dislikes! Alterations went smoothly and my dress was beautiful on my wedding day! Always so easy to work with and would highly recommend. I wish I could get married again just to purchase another gown here! :)

The staff here are very helpful and were nice to me from the get go. They also have a great dress selection. They didn’t mind that I had to come back for another appointment because I did not pick a dress the first time.

The staff here was super helpful! I loved the selection of dresses they have and compared to the other shops I have been to, this one is 100 times better. Nicer shop, better quality dresses, and good prices for the quality of dress you get!

I purchased my wedding gown from Bridal Couture wayyy back in 1981. I am now looking forward to being Mother of the Groom! I have recommended Bridal Couture to many people over the years. I look forward to introducing Bridal Couture to my future daughter in law!

I went to this salon a few months ago and was pretty aggravated with the entire experience, but its one of two salons with the designer of my dress, so I thought I would give them a try and that was my first mistake.I thought maybe its a fluke tried to call them again today to see if I could just come in for a quick minute to look at the dress I plan to own.The girl on the phone was short, rude, and non-accommodating in every sense of the words.I could explain all of it, but its not worth my breath.I am very disappointed at this salon for BOTH experiences pretty much making me feel like I am not worth their time. Just because they are in Birmingham does not give them an upper hand or any rights to make others feel useless to them.

I like to start with my journey in finding the right wedding dress was a difficult one until I went to Bridal Couture of Birmingham and met Amy (the owner) and her staff and family. I must have went to a dozen bridal salons and found nothing I truly loved and/or had good experiences at. Ive even left a bridal salon crying because I was being pushed into buying a dress that I didnt want. Amy got me the dress I wanted without me even physically being able to try the dress on. She took the time to pull tons of similar dresses from the same designer and other designers and pieced together what my dress would look like before I ordered it. Thus far Ive had the best experience ever at this bridal salon and her staff is amazing! They give you tons of advice on accessories and theyre extremely attentive when it comes to alterations as well. I highly recommend this place!

Short & sweet!: don’t waste ur time here!

I was going in this place with an open mind despite the bad reviews I previously read. I will not be back, they have a decent selection of dresses, but their employees were rude and rushing me through the process. I was 30 minutes late, but I called ahead of time to let them know and said it was ok to cut my appointment short. They were rude over the phone, then when I got in they were very short with me and rushing me. I would check out other places before going to this one, not the best experience.

Horrible experience. It was the type that women are afraid of before wedding dress shopping. We went in to look at their selection, mind you there was no one in the store, and they stood with their arms crossed with no smile. The women basically told me I wouldnt look good in a certain dress. They didnt ask me when my wedding was or if I needed any help. Its funny to me that they fit the stereotype of Birmingham perfectly. Dont waste your time here- theres a reason why they have zero customers on a Saturday during the busiest time of wedding dress season

Small selection compared to other boutique bridal stores. Staff tried to be helpful, but one member came across as insensitive and critical.

If you are looking for a fun, helpful, exciting shopping experience then this is NOT your place. I inquired online about an appointment and never heard back. My requested appointment time rolls around and I get a call from the shop saying I missed my appointment, that I never made. After rushing to the shop the first five minutes were spent trying to convince me that I still tried to skip the appointment that I had no idea existed! The next five minutes were spend telling me my idea if what I wanted was wrong and whoever told me that was uneducated. Then I told them my budget and the appointment basically stopped there as they were unwilling to even help me look for a dress and instead went to the corner with her coworkers and whispered/rolled her eyes the rest of the time I was there. All in all they were unhelpful, degrading, and cold.

Was not impressed with the shop at all. The woman that was supposed to help me and my mom was not helpful at all. She didnt help in pulling any dresses and didnt even ask what style I was looking for. Whenever I asked if certain changes could be made to the dress (like adding straps or cutting out a mesh neckline, totally reasonable requests) she was incredibly rude and said no it would be way too expensive... its strange that no other place said these things couldnt be done and reasonably at that. When my mom FaceTimed my grandmother overseas, the woman rolled her eyes, scoffed, and acted very annoyed when we asked her to put the veil back on me. She turned what should have been a beautiful moment into an inconvenience. Whatever they have in this store, you can find it elsewhere and without this rude lady.

Such a wonderful experience that gave my girl the perfect dress to help her have her perfect day
