I finally found a place that I can trust with my vehicles! Honest, ethical and very high standards of quality are what I found with Reg and his team. Ive been taking my vehicles there for oil changes for a long time, but Ive also had some pretty complex work done where trusting your mechanic is of utmost importance, and this family owned business is exactly that. Reg swapped out a 5.3L to a 6.0L engine in my Tahoe as an example of complex! Bottom line - if you are in need of a competent mechanic that is high character and does high quality work, bring your vehicle to Auto Xpress, you will never go anywhere else after your first visit.

Took my car in to have my battery replaced. Few days later my car is completely dead. I have the battery swapped but still nothing. Noticed a lose cord just hanging by the battery. With a quick Google search I realized that was the cable thats supposed to be attached (BOLTED on) to the negative terminal on the car battery. Called to let them know the issue and the first response was I needed a new alternator.1. They did not put the negative terminal assembly back together correctly. (the assembly should have never been taken apart in the first place on the negative side)Or2. They purposely did this to try to sell me an alternatorThe cable should be SCREWED to the terminal assembly and it was very poorly just placed on the metal to atleast make a connection so with a little driving it obviously just fell right back off. I was able to fix it at home with some google research and a simple tool set. I brought my car in to get fixed and they cost me half my Saturday.Never again.

Just had an inspection done. I was in and out in about 20 minutes with someone in front of me. Greeted when I first pulled up. Super nice owners on site who did the inspection. This was my first time using the shop through a friends referral and now I see why. I cant speak for repairs, but their inspection service is the best Ive experienced! Thank you guys!

This is my go to mechanic! They do their due diligence to find out what the problem is. I heard this loud knocking noise all of a sudden and immediately went to Auto Xpress. Reg hopped in and took it for a drive to get the noise to start again. He determined it was wind related and not speed like I originally thought. He took a look underneath and determined it was the dust cover that was falling off and banging against the bottom. He removed it and sent me on my way. Such a silly/easy fix but he took care of it with no charge. I also had a major leak from a radiator hose a while back and they replaced the hose for $25. They are definitely honest, fair, and ethical. You won’t be disappointed!

I came here based on the good reviews for my state inspection having recently moved to the area and I was not disappointed. The owners of this shop are extremely kind, helpful, and professional. They completed my state inspection very quickly and gave me some tips on registering my car with the state. They even helped me get my old license plate off the car because the screws were so rusted. While I did not have much work done on my car, I can say based on my experience so far, I will definitely be back!

Faster, better... Friendlier than Valvoline. I have been coming here for years and it was under different management for a very long time, but this time when I showed up they now have different owners and they repainted the place and it looks great. I was actually on my way from Valvoline because they told me over the phone, Valvoline told me over the phone, that an inspection would be only $7 but when I got there it was going to be $25. Valvoline didnt mention that if you have a catalytic converter that it automatically jumps the inspection from 7 to 25 dollars. Valvoline also said that their inspector had left for the day and it was only 1:00 p.m. . Valvoline told me I can come back tomorrow and get my inspection, but I did not want to go through that. So I went to the place I normally go to, Auto Xpress. They always have fair prices, theyre not looking to screw anybody over, and they are always friendly as can be. The new owners have absolutely renewed the place and it feels like youre welcome there and not just showing up to drop your car off around people who dont really like their job, like Valvoline. I will always go here from now on and I should have gone here to begin with, but if I hadnt I wouldnt have had a story to tell about Valvoline and their poor customer service.

My wife was taking our son to school and all of sudden, her car started exhibiting all kinds of weird electrical problems and then it shut off. She was in the middle of the road and Reg came out an helped her. I jumped in my truck and ran over there and he had the hood up and was testing her battery. We put a jumper box on it to get started and pulled out of the road. It turns out the alternator went out. We had been hearing the whirring sound for a couple of days that alternators make when they go bad. I though it was her power steering unit. Anyway, Reg gave us a quote to fix it and it was very fair so we had him do the work. We picked it up later in the day. Im sure if we would have taken it to the Lexus dealer, it would have cost a lot more money. Thank you Reg and Rosanne. You won us over.

This husband and wife team runs a great shop! Their mechanics are top notch and they are straight shooters too, you can trust them. Good place to take your used car prospects before you buy as well, they have a good pre-buy inspection deal so you can see if you really want that car or not, before you buy it!

Loved this place that is under new owners. All the Employees there including both the owners, which are husband and wife were amazing. Everyone talked to you there. Made you feel at home. Honest to the core. They Let you know when something needed done and no pressure sells. I worked with my dad in our FULL Service DX gas Station growing up and we did it this way to. Amazing service! Reg is awesome and fixed our trucks A/C quickly and at a reasonable price. We found our local auto shop will not be going anywhere else for all future repairs.

These guys went out of their way to pick my car up and take care of the starter engine replacement, oil change, and inspection. When there was something wrong with it on return, which turned out to be caused by a different mechanic shop, they fixed it for me the same day. Really appreciate the help of these guys and never felt like they were taking advantage of me like some other places do.

Super helpful. Rosanne did a great job on the inspection. Vehicle didn’t pass first time and explained how I needed to drive the truck for 10 minutes at 60 miles per hour. Came back and passed inspection. Very friendly and seems like they enjoy their job. Will go back in the future!

Stopped into auto xpress with my 06’ Toyota Corolla. I was having tire/wheel alignment issues. Reg lifted it up and discovered the root of the problem. Reg and Rosanne quoted me a fair price for axel replacement and fixed it. Finally found my local auto repair shop!

This particular shop has worked on my current vehicle since the Previous owner. Very close friend of mine. Like Family. So his word was that they are good people. Of course I dont trust mechanics. So at first I am a little skeptical. All it took was for me to encounter some odd issues. I am a guy who knows how to search for the information i need And I also know when it is time to defer to the professionals.if there is something wrong theyll let you know. If there isnt ..well theyll let you know. I think with good mechanics they are willing to let potential suckers walk away. I would be one of those. Accept for my cynical over analyzing outlook. Anyways. I will be taking my car to this mechanic for the duration of my cars life on the road.5 stars. They get the job done in a timely manner. Fair price. No funny buisness. Family mechanic.

Was looking for a mechanic that was local to give to local businesses…..pulled up in my Audi this morning…..waited behind a couple of cars….no one in the cars. One guy in the bay walking around….goes in and gets a coffee….comes out and finally addresses me “Yes Miss what can I do for you”. “Good morning wanted to get an oil change” he looks at my window and says “oh you aren’t a customer we don’t like to do Audis”. Oh ok - except there’s an Audi parked behind me and a Corvette in the front but ok you can’t handle my Audi! And he wasn’t masked!!!Yea not supporting that BS….happy to find another local place with maybe a little less bias.

Scott Ahrens did a great job when I took my car in because the washer fluid was not spraying. He was able to diagnose the problem quickly and told us which part needed to be ordered. We picked up the part and he installed it for us. Auto Xpress is a great place to take your car for oil changes or other mechanical issues.

Ive taken my family cars to Auto Xpress for all types of service (engine, catalytic converter, maintenance, inspections, brakes, tires, etc..). Theyve got expertise and do a great job, and also give excellent advice. All of which had gained my trust to keep coming back. Ive recently moved from Allen to Cedar Hill (south of Dallas), and had an event today to be in Allen, so I also took the opportunity to go Auto Xpress and had an oil change, inpsection and got advice. :-)

Excellent mechanic, socially distanced, no need for mask due to drive through style -open air garage w excellent ventilation therefore no risk of exposure to COVID-19.My driver side automatic window would not roll back up after a trip to the pharmacy so I quickly called Auto Express. I was in Allen visiting a friend when the battery symbol and check charge system message came on for my Honda minivan. I stopped by OReillys Auto Parts. Became a sly auto-shop after original owners left about 3 months ago. Came in for my normal $18.99 oil change (as advertised), left with $29 bill. Up charged on everything like $5 for oil filter and +$1 for special filter?!? Filters have always been included. If they are going to charge more, they should be more upfront about it. And not having me find out after the work has already been done, and I was presented with the bill that was more than advertised. Definitely not coming back anymore.

The place is under new ownership as of July 2019. I took my car to the dealership and was quoted a crazy amount. I called Auto Xpress and was told to bring my car by when I had a chance and they would take a look. $20 later and it was fixed. Not only did they save me almost $1500, but they were very professional and honest. They could have easily just went with the diagnosis that I told them the dealership gave me. Instead, they went a step further and checked other possibilities and found the real problem.Besides saving me a lot of money, all of the guys were very polite. I will definitely be back if I ever need a car serviced again.
