I paid the same for pads, rotors, AND TWO NEW CALIPERS for the same price the dealership wanted for just pads and rotors. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, professional, and fast. I am 100% using this as my primary shop now. Highly recommend!

Went there today at 4 pm to get a diagnostic done on my jeep . Was told they do not have enough time to do it because they were to busy note they close at 6 pm and no one there was working just standing around when I looked there was 1 car in the shop . Only takes a few minutes to run a scan on a vehicle and as I was walking out the guy I spoke to just sat down and started playing with his phone . Just sad if I was the owner I would be upset that customers are being turnt away due to laziness.

I would recommend and use Redford Auto again! As a female it is often hard to find an honest/trustworthy mechanic and not get taken advantage of, but these guys were great. This is the only mechanic I have ever had that take me back into the shop and show me the old parts that need to be replaced before they did any work, and then showed me again the new parts to see the difference before they put it back together. They were personable/friendly and professional at the same time. These guys are not just looking to make a quick buck, you can tell they are good people. They treated me like an individual person not just another car in the shop, and went above and beyond to make sure my truck safe for the winter. Prices very competitive too. Very satisfied and I thank them very much!

Excellent service! This is the first car I have bought for my self. Eddie made sure I got the most important thing got fixed first so that I was not wasting any money and would be safe. Not only that they took the time to explain each repair to me and why it would be necessary. Highly Recommend!

My truck would only kick out heat while driving but blew out cold air while at idle. Its more than likely an air bubble that needs to be bled. I didnt even get any work done and I was charged $100 for such a simple diag.

This place used to be good this new management or whatever you want to call it is horrible!! I took my vehicle to have it look at in which I thought would be a simple fix but these “geniuses “ literally refuse to look at it, and not even that they said it would require more work.. I took my car to a different shop the issue I had with my vehicle was done less than a hour.. Stay away from these clowns Eddie the manager was rude and you have mechanics you can tell who don’t know what the hell they’re doing..

Lol well i paid you almost 400 dollars and i still have all the same problems with my vehicle so like said thanks for nothingI paid them. Almost 400 dollars to patch two tires change oil and do a diagnostic on my heat and a week later my heat still doesnt work and one of my tires is flat again i wouldnt recommend using this repair shop not sure if they did any repairs to my vehicle at all

Lied about what was needed, and what they charged me for was not completed. They used used brake rotors on my car, who does that? they charged me $75 apiece for rotors that they probably paid $5 for. The reason why there are so many reviews on here??? They offer discounts if you write a good review. Crooked as they come. Stay far, far, far away!!!!!

These people here are rude and probably thieves, I didnt stick around long enough to find out for sure! I was quoted $25 for a repair that quickly went to $175! I finally called another auto repair shop that did it for $48! But I was ready to pay the $175 until Eddie was rude to me one too many times.

LISTEN TO ME!!!! I came across this shop on a “need to hurry and Get my car fixed now” situation...I can honestly say that the price Eddie gave me was more then reasonable...especially considering the shop down the street wanted to charge me $150 more for the same job...I sat in the office and watched several customers drop their cars off and interact with the staff as if they’re family...seeing that actually made me feel more comfortable. This place took my car right in and fixed it RIGHT AWAY!!! Eddie has most definitely just gained himself another loyal customer!

I have had my car taken care of at the Taylor location. Eddie and his team are fair, honest, and friendly. I was so happy with their service I took my daughter to have her car taken care of their. Finding a good mechanic you can trust is difficult. So, I did a search online and found Redford auto had good reviews and decided to give them a try. I wasnt disappointed. They were extremely friendly and professional. Redford auto explained my issues and provided options to suit my budget. They were also very fair with their rates. I have 2 older vehicles so a good trustworthy mechanic is a must. So, I will be frequenting Redford auto in Taylor.

Very professional fast service

Took our Honda Fit here a few weeks ago to get the brakes changed. They did a great job. Joe was fast and took the best options available to us to have it done quickly. We had an issue arise after the breaks were changed, and he went above and beyond for us to make it right. Called the shop at 3:55, asked if they could check out my truck before they closed for the day. The guy behind the counter told me no problem. Called this shop to ask if they are capable of doing an alignment on a 06 BMW. The guy confirmed that he can, so I drove 30 minutes to the shop. As soon as I get there, the same guy is like wait let me double check with the mechanic. Well it turns out they dont and he was just too lazy to check. Super unprofessional!

Being a single mother that knows nothing about cars going to a mechanic shop is scarier than the dentist! However, at Redford auto repair they choose honesty, good service and human decency over money. Owner and staff are excellent! If only there were more people like them in the world!

Please do your research before choosing to use these guys! I wish I had. They offer a discount to people that leave a good review. No wonder they have such a high rating! Happy to tell you anything you want to hear when it comes to making a sale. Bought a car from them and of course its got issues immediately. Now they want to offer me a brand new Motor for $300. These guys cant be serious. If you want to blow a couple grand just for a paper weight, then they are your guys.

Great experience. Had my sons truck towed up there after hours left the keys in an envelope . Joe called first thing in the morning. Had a diagnosis within an hour. He needed a fuel pump and filter. He explained what caused the issue and how to avoid it from happening again. I couldnt believe I actually got the truck back same day. That never happens. Also let us know about another issue told my son its easy and cheaper to do it himself. Even called around to find the best price for the part. I am definitely going to be a repeat customer and give recomdations. Thanks for the awesome service.

This is by far the BEST place I’ve ever been to! As a female, it’s extremely difficult to get an honest answer about what’s going on with my car. The NEW manager there was incredibly personable and I never once felt like I was being taken advantage of. I gave them a long list of problems with my car. They told me I didn’t even need some of the things done. I dropped my car off around 9 and they had it all taken care of by 1030! And what a fair price! I will definitely be going back here as long as I live in MI 👍

I just want to send out a thank you to Redford auto! Friday afternoon we were on our way to faster horses when the brakes went out on the RV. We were far from home and didnt know how we were going to make it to the festival. Joe hooked us up with a rental from enterprise for $30 for the night which got us to the festival and then they had the RV fixed by 9am the next morning! Extremely happy with how polite and prompt everyone was at getting us back on the road! Thanks again! You guys rock!

Very happy to have found these guys. Others have mentioned being afraid to deal with car repair places being female, and that is so true, but they made me feel secure and took good care of me. Got me right in and fixed my front end to be safe to drive at what Im sure was a great price. I dont think my steering wheel has ever been straight before! Very satisfied with the work they did. Ill definitely be back... hopefully not anytime soon though!

These guys are awesome !!! They helped my family and I out big time when we were 45 minutes from home with a bubble in our tire that was going to turn into a bad situation if we had kept driving on it trying to get home. We came in the shop with 10 minutes to spare before they closed and they found us a tire and put it on our car so quickly and we’re super nice. They didn’t want something to happen to us especially since I had my little ones in the car and I am eternally grateful that they stayed instead of turning us away because it was so close to closing time. I would recommended them to anyone, and will be returning if we need help again with our cars.

At some auto repair places many of the men will take advantage of female customers. That however is Not the case with Redford. I was treated with respect and kindness. I also received a lesson in breaks free of charge from Ray who was very informative and has a great sense of humor . Matt as well has awesome customer service demeanor and is helpful. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Posting this since my friend got royally screwed over. His truck broke down & he took it there & said engine was locked which it was. From there they offered him a car for some extra cash & his truck as a trade in. They said they had some things to fix & check to get 100% first & he went back the following week to test the car & pay for it. Said he would offer a warranty for 30 days if anything were to go wrong. Well that;s when it started. Long story short, 3 times in the shop & one time at a new shop and the car needs a new engine due to blown heads. Now expects my friend to purchase a new motor from him & they will eat the labor... A lot of back and forth between the owner & manager so you dont know what to believe. Best of luck for who all go there. Reviews are high for this company but maybe they changed owners or managers? Best of luck!

Would never recommend this place to anybody not even my worst enemy. The people working on the cars havent a clue as to what they r doing. They couldnt fix a little kids bike. Bought a car off the lot and said it was worked on and running like a champ. Its been in the shop more times then its been on the road and thats just in the last 3 wks. My son has only owned for that long. Just getting it out of. a different shop 2day. Gave them 1 star cause I have to put something down. If they had a negative star they would get that. These people r crooks!

We always get great service from Joe and the team at Redford Auto. Turn around time for fixing our vehicles is quick (almost always finished within the day the vehicle is dropped off) and the prices are reasonable as well. They really seem to pay attention to you and remember you if you come in more than once. We have been going to Redford Auto for our maintenance repairs on our vehicles since they have opened and will continue to do so in the future.

I went to Redford Auto to get an oil change. They ended up finding that my serpentine belt was also broken and showed me where. Not only did they accommodate me a half hour before closing, but they also gave me a discount on my belt. I brought my other car here too. Will definitely be coming back in the future!

Some debris got cough between my brake pad and rotor. They charged me $85 to take the brake apart and clean it out. Fast service. Reasonable price. Will likely stop by again if I need service.

Redford Auto Repair, there is nothing bad to say about this shop. They always tell you exactly what is wrong, they don’t force you into something that you don’t ever need etc. I have taken my truck up there numerous times, and I always have the same technician, Mike. Every single time he works on my truck, it always feels like a new vehicle. He does such amazing work and whenever I bring a vehicle up to the shop, I always hope to god that he is the one working on it. He knows his stuff and whenever I leave knowing it was him working on it, I feel 100% content with the fact that it is done right.The manager, Dave, like I said, will not push you into something. You say, NO.. then the subject is dropped. He will put it on your bill as a reminder and the price out the door. This place is amazing and I highly recommend this shop to anyone in the Taylor, MI. area that wants VIP service at amazingly affordable prices.

Took my car there couldnt fix it right away. Had to wait for parts then got charged 850.00 and still not fixed. Worked on it myself runs better now then it did when I took it in. Really? They misdiagnosed the problem totally. They wanted another 695.00 for more parts. My wife took her car and they said she needed a master cylinder....wrong answer. Only back brakes. She also had a serpentine belt replaced twice on warranty but thet didnt change the pulley. Done with them...dont go there!

I left there with a large estimate and went for a 2nd opinion which brought me to Redford Auto Repairs front door. So glad I did! Not only did they fix the repairs that I needed done they did it for 400.00 less! Everyone is very friendly there, very clean shop and nice waiting area. Great to do business with! They looked, listened and informed me. Stayed in contact with me, when my car would not cooperate (make the noise that it does on occasion, but not always) they refused to charge me for it. They did find a different noise that was bugging me, repaired it for a reasonable fee and now its as quiet as the day I bought it. Superior customer service, would for sure go there again!

This is great place finally found a good shop in the area just moved in town and these guys are great my wife went in bear and the guy running it was nice frendley and had some knowledge of the repairs we needed the prices are dead and surprising the honesty was there thought we need brakes they told mi wife brakes are good just a littel dust from the road trip thanks again for the great service.

Horrible place! Screwed my brother over. Sold him a car they said worked great. It was back in their shop 3 or 4 more times in a couple weeks. Took to another shop because my brother didnt believe them anymore. Turns out the head blew and it needs a new engine. Careful buying any cars from this place!!!

The staff here was very friendly & helpful! They allowed me to save money and bring my own oil. If you are like me & drive a vehicle needing full synthetic oil, oil changes are dreadful costly experiences! I definitely will be back for services on my 3 series BMW.

Went for an oil change, left with a transmission fluid leak. Im pretty sure they loosened it on purpose for more money on services because we had the whole front end checked out for work that needed to be done. My brother looked at it the day before and we knew what was wrong we just needed them to price it. Just funny how later that day the transmission fluid was leaking.
