I was very skeptical of this place at first, as on the phone I was connected to someone who did not actually work at the store and the website gave me appointments for... New York and Omaha. However with the back glass of my Samsung Note 9 broken I wanted it fixed ASAP. Made an appointment for 4:00 PM and got my device back within 24 hours not only with a new back glass but also a new battery. Its good as new now! My only complaint is that actually getting your phone in is a pain. Had to wait 30 minutes despite the appointment as only one front desk guy is working there at a time. Also, well, work on the web design. Ive attached before and after pics of my phone.

This was my first opportunity to go there. I had an issue with my Android phone. Alex fixed for me in a minute. Then I had to go back to check on something else with the phone. Again Alex had me in and out in moments. It has become the place Id recommend to everyone with issues on their tech. Great an very pleasant people to work with.Joe

I called to inquire about battery replacement for iPad Air and support person said they were ordering battery and would send email for me to choose date for 1 hour appointment. I got email and set appointment but on day of appointment learned they had not ordered the battery. They retook order and in week sent new email for me to reschedule appointment which I did. This time I got to store and was told I could leave the device but it would LITERALLY be a MONTH before they could change the battery. I asked what was purpose of an appointment and got no satisfactory answer. I was beyond being upset and will NEVER do business with them again. Let this be a WARNING to you about this location.

Shared knowledge that my phone a Galaxy S9 should support LTE. But only 3G was being displayed in network settings. UBreakiFix explained that a hard rest may be needed and provided cost. Employee mentioned the need to backup up the Android phone as they do not do that prior to hard reset. He suggested using a samsung backup app and home PC for backup. He also mentioned trying resetting the SIM card. After taking out and installing the SIM with soft reset my phone displayed LTE AGAIN! Yeah!!!! Thanks uBreakifix.

Alex at u break I fix in Schaumburg IL. Is absolutely AWESOME!!! I have hearing difficulties and Alex was with me on the phone with the Asurion company making sure that the claim I was making went through properly! Alex had extensive patience with me and was extremely helpful in getting my problem resolved!!

They may have connections to Samsung but if you cant get repairs complete for 5 days it doesnt help. When you call it sends yoy to some one in a different state. You cant talk to anyone at the location unless you go there.

I was told from the call center I could bring my own parts to have a computer fixed. I was turned away at the door stating I can neither supply my own parts or have the computer fixed. This was all in lieu of having a scheduled appointment for said item to be fixed. Not happy

After 3 phone calls and 3 wasted trips into the store I received 3 different analysis from 3 different people on a cracked camera screen and lens repair on a galaxy phone. Was promised by the last person I would receive a follow up phone call when parts were in, never received the phone call. Very unprofessional. I would take it somewhere else.

Many reasons to hate this place. Always trying to sell customers on their monthly service package. Young front counter kid has a condescending attitude and treats customers like they are a problem. This all happened to the three customers in front of me. I know how to fix computers and the kid was trying to tell me it cant be fixed even though my laptop is under warranty. Better to deal with the manufacturer than this place. Never recommend it for computer work. They will take advantage of you if you are not computer literate. Buyer beware!

I recently brought my laptop in for one of the free services with Home+ for a PC tune-up. My laptop had been slowing down a lot with a lot of use being home and working. After the tune-up, my computer is running so well! Almost like when I used it for the first time, which is awesome and a big relief so I can get back to it. Huge thanks to Andrew and his team!

If I could give ZERO stars, I would but I will settle for one star. I brought my laptop in earlier this year because it was dead from liquid damage. Ubreakifix told me it was unrepairable, but I could subscribe to their partner company, Asurion in order to get my laptop fixed. I was advised by the employees at Ubreakifix that I would not be able to file a claim until 30 days after I enrolled, and that I would need to tell Asurion that my laptop was damaged after I subscribed to their company since Asurion would not cover any damage that happened prior to enrolling in their coverage plan. I was told by the employees at Ubreakifix that if I changed my mind and wanted to cancel my subscription with Asurion, to come into the store and they would issue me a refund.Well, after I submitted my claim and several inconsistencies with Asurion, I was told it would be 1-3 days before I heard back with results from my claim. I waited two weeks and didn’t hear a thing. When I called them, they told me my claim had been denied, without ever communicating this to me as their customer. They denied the claim because they saw that Ubreakifix reported that I had been at their store earlier and deemed my computer unrepairable before my coverage with Asuiron started. Which, I understand that but my problem lies here: why would the employees at Ubreakifix advise me to tell Asurion that the damage occurred after I bought the coverage if they knew my claim would be denied because of that? All that time I waited to hear back from my claim I could have been using to either get it repaired somewhere else, or buy a new one. Instead i’m out a laptop, my time and $50 for two months of “coverage” with Asurion.I went into the Ubreakifix store and expressed the situation and my aggravation from being poorly advised, only to be met with attitude from the guy working the counter. I asked for a manager and he told me that the manager was out and they did not know when he would return. However, a few minutes later he told me the manager would return on Monday. The employee at Ubreakifix told me there was nothing they could do to help me, or explain why this happened per their advise. I asked for a refund and was told they could not issue me a refund and that I had to call Asurion, which is not what I was told when I first signed up. I asked for the managers card or direct number and was told that they could not give me that information and I could find the corporate number online if I wanted.Needless to say I will NEVER return to Ubreakifix or Asurion and I would NEVER recommend these companies to anyone, ever. Not only has this been a huge waste of my time and money, but the employees at Ubreakifix are unprofessional and uneducated on their services.

Wow just wow!!!!! The service here is amazing, Alex is super helpful. Mohammad, Andrew and Anthony go out of their ways to help in any way possible. So I went to the Schaumburg location after the Chicago location refused to fix my phone, I told them that I contacted Samsung and it can be fixed without the heart rate monitor... All the guy kept saying to me is your motherboard is broken, and flat out refused to repair.

Let me just start off by saying that I am very hard on my electronic devices due to constant travel.I have come to this place at least 3 times since it opened. Every single time, not only is their customer service terrific, their estimations on repair and appt times are spot on. I have met the owner the first time and if the same one today, she has hired the BEST technicians I have ever met. They are are calm when customers can be upset, impatient and uncomfortable with parting from their electronics for a short duration. Their communication skills of offering different options of a positive nature for the customer to make them feel like they are regaining the control back from their loss is a skill not every technician has when dealing with a challenging public. The technicians are not just smart and capable of tackling some difficult problems, but they are also very kind, polite, sympathetic and compassionate to each customers specific situation. The technicians are so dedicated to their work that they by-passed their well-earned short breaks to continue handling their customer in closing up the transaction. Kudos to hiring some very well-rounded technicians in a world that has lost focus on the human factor behind the electronics. I walked out each time very happy with the service offered and recommended to all my friends and family! (Even one of the technicians spoke Spanish fluently with technological terms that are not easy to master as a second language.) Please give this place a shot and feel safe and comfortable in leaving your pricey electronics in their trust. I have received mine back every time, like they were brand new!

I had a IPhone brought in just to have the screen repaired. As simple as the job seems they somehow found the need to replace and install parts inside. Included a third party battery that ended up destroying the phone and now can’t run for more than 5 minutes. If you want your phone ruined, welcome.

Went here to fix my PC. And receptionist told me it’s going to be expensive to change two plates on my pc. After he called Carlos and Carlos told me it will take up to 5 month to replace parts. If you can’t fix Computers please do not promote your self as pc repair. 0% satisfied this kid didn’t even look up a schedule and just sent me off straight off the door

Tech is typically NOT my friend, and going into these stores are intimating, however Carlos at this specific location was a joy. He is incredibly patient, knowledgeable. Even though they couldnt completely resolve both of the challenges I had with my device, he did repair one of the problems without a hitch and helped me find a computer store for my second issue (yes, they still exist!) Great customer experience and Carlos deserves an award for a brief, but pleasant, overall experience!

Stopped In 10:00 am On Good Friday, They Just Opened. My Phone Wouldn’t Charge And Cord Wouldn’t Stay In No Matter How Many I Tried, Having Problem About Two Weeks. Young Man At The Counter Alex Was So Helpful. After A Quick Inspection Of The Phone, He Found That Something Very Small Was Lodged In There Whereas That’s Why The Cord Wouldn’t Stay In. My son dropped his laptop on our hardwood floor the screen needed to be replaced. The young men that work there are so professional and very very intelligent. It took just a few days to replace only reason i gave 4 stars is I didnt like how many times i was asked if i wanted to sign up for the insurance u guys offer. Everytime i talked to someone i had tonhear the speel all over again. I would think theres a way to keep track who asked already just a suggestion. Other than that i will bring all future electronics here.. (hopeful i wont need to)

This is the second time Ive used these guys. The first time I quickly found out they were cheaper & quicker than utilizing the insurance I had on the phone. I immediately canceled that! This time I had a very minor issue they took care of in under 3 minutes. I offered to pay & they told me no charge. Made my day! Walked in. Was told that theyd be with me in a few minutes. When Alex came out and I told him my issue - tip of the lightening cable broke off in my iPhone - he took it in back. I just left this location after bringing in my iPad pro 10.5. it has a couple loose coil caps on the motherboard that need to be replaced and resoldered. After explaining what I guessed needed to be done, they told me that they dont have a working solder gun and that they wouldnt be able to help me at all. Apparently, the manager is aware of it and theyre supposed to get one sometime next year. The new renovation was more important to them than getting working equipment. This place is a total joke - dont waste your time and go somewhere more reputable. A repair shop without a solder gun is like a grocery store with no food.

I couldn’t charge my iPad. The cord wouldn’t plug into it. Brought it in; it was something stuck in the receiving end. The guy fixed it and didn’t charge anything, saying it was part of the free diagnostics. I now feel bad I didn’t at least give him a tip. Sorry. Also, the store has safe covid precautions. I left feeling happy.

I suppose my case isnt something that most people will experience. Their tech came over to my house through Asurion claim to fix a crack on the screen. Nice young man, fixed it within 45 min, like promised. Gave me my phone back and..... once it loaded back up there was no service. Tried to call him back, number was off. Tried to call this store as he operates out of this location, they couldnt get on hold with him. Now i have completely useless phone, even though before it was working just fine. Its a business phone, so even 1 day without a phone causing major inconvenience and financial loss. Seems to be unprofessional practice. Its a pitty. Always check your devices in front of your tech.

I took my Google Pixel 4XL in for a screen repair via an Asurion insurance claim I filed. I went their on 12/27/2020 to make an appointment on 12/29/2020 for the repair at 10:30am. They told me it would be ready three hours after I dropped it off.When I arrived back after the three hours, the repair was not done because the battery also needed to be replaced due to a manufacture issue & was required for the repair to be completed under the claim. They also didnt have the battery in stock as well as other locations and claim they do not know when they will have it in stock as their is a shortage of batteries. I asked why cant they re-use the battery that was in the phone and they stated they could not due to the repair requirement for the claim.They advised they called my home phone to let me know the problem, but they never did. I was home the whole time working remotely and I didnt hear it ring once. I verified the Caller ID when I got home and I show no call from them at all. I asked why they didnt let know the battery needed replacement when I dropped it off initially as this was required for the repair in the first place. They could not give me a straight answer. Their system should have stated a battery replacement was required when I made the appointment on 12/27 and when I went for my appointment on 12/29.I took back possession of my phone without repair and called Asurion to let them know of the situation. They are sending me a replacement phone for the same cost as the claim to repair my phone which was $29. The cost to replace the phone through Asurion would have been more. Due to the battery shortage, they gave me $29 price.The reason they get a one star is the lack of communication and lying for calling my home phone which they didnt. This store is owned by Asurion as I confirmed this online before I wrote this review. They should have let me know about the battery issue when I made the in person appointment on the 27th. I would have called Asurion then to send me a replacement phone to begin with instead of wasting my time which was about an hour in total. I waited 20 minutes to make an appointment in person, 20 minutes to drop it off and 20 minutes to pick it up. They only had one person in the front every time I went in the store and had people waiting each time.

These guys are awesome! Bring your device in, YOU WONT REGRET IT! Dropped my laptop nearly two years ago. I Duct taped over the cracked case. Fast forward to two days ago. Unplugged the charger from the laptop and charging port came with (same place case was cracked). Brought it here and by the time I registered with them, my laptop was fixed and tested. I literally didnt make it to the seats to sit and wait! Best part, $$$$0! Customer service of Rebekah and curly-hair-in-a-ponytail tech (in and out so fast I didnt get his name) deserves 15 stars but 5 is the max.UPDATE: Same laptop, now accidentally used to kill a spider. (I am not as horrible to my tech as this makes me sound. I have never done anything like this or felt so stupid in my life). I was still speechless when I brought it back in. Mohamed took a look at it and determined thelaptop still worked but the cost of a new screen ($279) was more than the laptop was worth. They gave me two reasonable options to be able to keep my data and Microsoft office suite. I had no problems with how much storage it had or how fast it was. They charged $50 labor to put my hard drive into an identical $100 laptop (I bought) and answer the million questions had. Yes it was an expensive way I to kill a 🕷️ but at least I no longer have to stare at a duct taped case. Other than that, its like nothing ever happened.

Dont bring your devices here unless you want the runaround, terrible communication, and excuses and this is from the owner of a Samsung device.Day 1: U bring in my S8+ for a back glass replacement. Upon dropping the phone off at opening (actually 1015am) I was told my phone would be completed by about 1 or 2pm. Despite leaving a contact number (my wife who was with me all day) nobody called. I waited until 330pm and called. After calling 3 times and waiting on hold for a bit i was told that they couldnt use the machine to remove the glass, someone had to do it by hand. So I guess my glass broke differently than other glass breaks, but okay. I was told it would be completed by the end of the business day (7pm). Before I left my house, to avoid any more surprises, I called again. This time I was told that the new back was on but it didnt pass the waterproof test so they couldnt release it and if I needed the phone the only option was to put the old glass back on. I had enough so I told them yes, out the old glass back on and Ill pick it up. Upon picking up the phone I was then told that the actual reason of didnt pass the waterproof test was because the software on their end was updated (a process that I was told usually happens overnight) and that if I bring it back tomorrow they would be able to get it done. Stupid me, I fell for it.Day 2: I drop off my phone at 1020am with high hopes due to what I was told the previous day. No word from anyone there by 4pm so I call and spend 15 minutes on hold. I hang up and call back back 4 more times between 4pm and 530pm with no answer to ANY of my calls. I wait until 615 and go to the store only to see one person behind the counter and 8 people waiting in line. I leave and call back and someone actually answers. He tells me the phone is done but it isnt passing the waterproof test. Lmao!!!! You mean the same problem you had the day before that you said was due to software not auto updating overnight?? Then Im told to come at 7pm and it should be done by then. I go back to the store at 7pm only to be told that they will need another 30-45 minutes to run the diagnostic program (again I guess??? Since they already said in the phone it failed) So now Im sitting at home with no phone waiting for an after hours call from a place that doesnt even communicate they theyre actually open. Ill update but Im pretty sure Ill be picking up the same broken phone in about 30 minutes.Conclusion: TALK TO YOUR CUSTOMERS. CALL THEM AND UPDATE THEM. IF SOMETHING WONT BE COMPLETED BY THE QUOTED TIME, CALL AND LET THEM KNOW.

Fast and efficient! We took in a Pixel 3a XL with a screen defect. The staff was kind and straightforward, explaining the entire process. The assistant manager Carlos made sure i felt welcomed and made it SOOOOOO painless. Mohammad also greeted me when i entered the device and gave me a little advice on how to keep this from happening again! I brought my iPad and the volume and home button didn’t work. As soon as I got there an employee named Carlos helped me out. It was a miracle! It looked real brand new! The staff there was extremely cooperative and friendly, I totally recommend this place!

This was my third visit today and again these guys took care of the problem right away with no issues. Had a broken iPad the first couple times and this time a broken iPhone. They figured out what was wrong each time and I went home with a perfectly working phone/ipad. So happy I found this business. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This place is amazing! I went in to get my phone fix because my volume button was stuck and safe mode was on..I wasnt able to access any of my apps.It could have cost up to $250, since my screen was damaged, etc.. but Neil was able to fix the volume button and got my apps back on, saving me money.The most amazing thing is that when I asked him, what was the damage, he said dont worry about it. He could have charged me but he didnt. Some places that you go, would just add on charges or even overcharge. This place is nothing like that.From the moment that I first walked in, upon till I left, he was friendly, yet professional, HONEST and very helpful. Unfortunately, I have had my pixel screen replaced 2 times. Due to my own clumsiness. Each time they were quick and friendly. No surprise charges, everything was communicated precisely over the phone prior to bringing my device in.
