Not sure what the fuss is all about. Yes there was a small waiting period but we were rather in and out very quickly for picking up a new modem. This guy named Karillous (sorry if I mistyped) took wonderful care of us and was extremely courteous. This location is clean and upbeat. Will leave a follow up post after setting up internet and testing speed.

Not a recommended Xfinity store to resolve your issues. No one knows how to fix an issueIn the first place. All they will do is call customer service and it takes 30-45 minutes and yet the issue is not resolved. In the end, they will say ticket is raised and you’ll be contacted. When the customer service on phone does not resolve the issue, we come to store. But the store is again reaching out to the ustomer service again. Strange!

Not that its a big deal but I was turning in my old equipment (went to att they have fiber optic..... which brings me to the point the sales person thought that old cable internet is better than fiber optic...... I was told I was making a mistake... att is so much faster!!

This place is a joke. you sent me home with equipment to set up internet and forgot the coax cable. i went back to get it. once i got home, i set everything up and still had issues. i spoke with an agent on the phone and she said she would send a technician out to help. i was supposed to have them come today between 10 and noon. my appointment was canceled, for NO REASON. now i have to wait for someone else to come out, which won’t be today. all i want is internet, it shouldn’t be this hard.

Not enough staffing get ready to wait at least 45min until you get called, also when I went in there the other day to adjust my bill the girl that works there tells me that I can’t fix it ,that my wife has to because her name is in the bill give me a break . Just moved into the area and Xfinity and WOW are the only providers.I figured I should check out reviews and i wasnt excited about what i read about Xfinity in Schaumburg....until I walked in there on a sunday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised.The greeter at the door was very helpful in getting me set up. Within a few moments Matt came to get me and had me set up with what i was looking for. Before I left though i had to ask him? Why is it that you guys here in Schaumburg have such bad reviews.He explained to me that1-Most people that get good service dont take the time to write the reviews.2-When people have a problem with their service, the calls are directed to their call center somewhere in ( I dont know where) and if they dont get the help they needed , which he said the call center customer help could do better ...the people writing the reviews assume its this Schaumburg area office.3-This is the busiest Xfinity in the area and sometimes the wait time can be a bit much. But its not just a problem of being short stuffed its the process itself takes a while so people have to wait their turn.So for all of you who say i waited for hours-do yourself a favor and truly your time is very important but you are stupid to go there at peak time and expect the process to be a breeze....in a pandemic!, GO ON A SUNDAY AFTERNOON like i did or figure out what times are the least busy and make the best use of your time!...orDo as much as you can online before walking in or call.

Horrible place and it has been intentionally designed to be. Just had to return 2nd cable box that I had ordered for 2nd TV and did not need it. System has been made so complicated that you have to wait over an hour just to return and you have to sign many time just to make sure you returned it. How smart! It is made so complicated to make it hard on customers to dread customers to even go to their store. Staff is nice and we are all SLAVES COPORATIONS. BTW if you have a smart TV, you dont need cable box for 2nd or any number of TV as their is an App that you can use and not pay additional money to greedy corporations.

Horrible customer service. In a snow storm was told they were too full and I needed to wait outside. All I wanted was a simple question answered ( did I need to give my own modem to a live person). I couldn’t even get a word out or a foot in the door was just yelled at to wait outside by the “hostess”. When I tried to say wait one second I was just at yelled out to get outside they were TOO FULL. I get covid rules but she could of at least ask what I needed or even taken my name not acted like I had the nerve to open the door to her business.

We started our lease at the new apartment earlier so we have more time and flexibility to move in and setup, the internet being one of those. Xfinity is the only service offered in our building, so we scheduled an appointment to have a tech come install and start our service for us. The appointment is scheduled to start at 2020/08/22 10am-12pm. It’s a pretty big time window, but not completely unreasonable. We showed up at our empty apartment (since we haven’t moved in yet) at 10am to prepare for the technician to arrive any minute.2.5 hours later, around 12:40pm, still no one showed up. Tired of waiting, we called Xfinity customer service and got connected to a customer service agent. The agent initially told us she checked with the dispatching center, and saw that our technician left a note saying he’d be late, and if we’d like to reschedule or keep on waiting. We said we’re okay with waiting, but would like to know how much longer. The agent said she’ll check with the dispatching center again, and put us on hold. 5 minutes later, she came back and told us that the technician has been here and no one was home, which obviously wasn’t true since we were home the whole time by the door literally just waiting. I tried to ask for an explanation for the contradiction to what she claimed initially, that the technician was late, to which she diverted and said “I’m not going to get in an argument with you, you can reschedule”. I thought I’d reschedule first and get an explanation, later, so I said okay. She put us on hold for 10 minutes again, came back with a date and time without asking any of our input. I told her that time wouldn’t work for us, so we set it to another time. After she confirmed it, I tried asking again for an explanation to what happened. In the midst of my question, she rushed through the closing words and hung up on me before I could finish. And I never got the explanation for the 3 hours I wasted for nothing, and got hung up on. In what world is this kind of customer service acceptable? Unfortunately they’re the only choice (ironically, in a free capitalist market).

I felt uncomfortable and rushed by my experience here, but its xfinity! we all know what were walking into here😅 as terrible as these giant monopolies are we have to use them. When asked the actual speed of my gigabit internet purchase I received the false awnser of 1gb download speed. Wired to the box Im able to get just about 900mb/s when not being throttled on average(with the latest tech). I also didnt appreciate the consistent attempts to upsell. I should have to say no one single time. Anything more then once I will be posting about it like I am now. I counted SIX attempts at an upsell of phone service and then more comprehensible cable package. We all know were gonna use streaming service mostly anyway, am I right guys? So xfinity you get two out of five stars from me.

Worst place to visit this store. They will speak very nice if your planning to buy some. I step in to inquire about xfinit mobile trade in program and they sold me apple ipad with some kind of manger promo. Since they dont have itme in store they order me one onle for 2 day shipping.. When I got the item its damaged on the corner and when I went to store they ask me to check with apple store not Xfinity so funny right.. If they want to take it back its $35 restocking fee for nothing.. Beware of this scam

I wanted to update our xfinity and add on the flex to our subscription. I am a bit cheap and a procrastinator. Nora answered my questions. Was patient with me. Offered my best solutions. I have upgraded my services, was accepted to go pick up my equipment vice waiting for deliver which is what I wanted, was given more information than I had thought of such as their hrs etc. Nora helped me out and if I could call everytime and speak with her I would. The worst place you can go talk to a Xfinity representative, somebody better go educate these people how to treat their customers, the guy who stays outside told us we gotta wait 10 minutes behind the blue was extremely rude. I would’ve give half a star if I had the option. Horrible service!

While Xfinity in Chicagoland has fine customer service their internet speeds in Schaumburg, IL are highly inflated. Promising “download as fast as 200 Mbps..” more accurate giving off 6 Mbps.. 6!After multiple calls and an average wait time of over and hours. My calls were drop a few times.Rank: 8 out of 10 Shop somewhere else.

I had a great experience at this Xfinity Store recently. The Representative was very helpful and explained to me what I would need to do for my self-install of their product.I was interested in taking advantage of the new iPhone promotion and he showed me the phone. What I was really impressed with was that he took the time to set up all of my billing for my cable and internet and help me get ready for when I port my phone number over to Comcast Mobile, which will be soon.

Dont go if youre in a rush, but thats not a bad thing. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They make sure youre taken care of before you leave. In my last visit, I saw a representative get a chair for an elderly woman from the back room because she looked tired while standing at the sales counter. Thats the kind of care that is worth the wait every time.

Didnt have the booster cord that I needed although it was a full service facility. After comcast outage in the area, modem wouldnt work so had to return it for a new one. Took forever to get up and running. The person didnt tell me that without the booster cord the amplifier wont work which means no service. I had to run to target at 8pm for a splitter to activate my new modem and have cable the rest of the weekend. Told I would have a tech drop off the cord the next day. Tech arrives and thought it was a regular service call and had to check if he even had the cord which thankfully he did. Whole experience with xfinity has been hellish and time consuming with zero offer to credit the lost service for almost 2 days.

Terrible sales people. Conned me out of $135 in less than a months worth of internet and TV. Absolute scam. The lady told me I would get a month free trial for TV so that I can see if the bill would be worth it and not even 20 days later, I get a bill for $135 saying I need to pay. What happened to my free trial? Never believe these people. I went back to cancel the whole account in person and this really nice man named Stephen Mathis helped me. He is the only one who was honest about the whole thing. He cancelled my services properly and professionally. I need to go back because the bill that charged me $135 before charged me another $35 more for some reason. Going back to see the Stephen to clear it up. Not going to see ANYONE rlse. Im going to find the lady that conned me in the store and Im reporting her.

Generally, I never look forward to interactions with Comcast customer service. But after my most recent visit at this Xfinity location, I can say I had a great customer experience. Sr. Sales Consultant Jessica Wright Cain was patient, helpful, demonstrated superior competence, and did a great job managing my expectations. Ill be asking for Jessica anytime I have to visit this location moving forward, and I recommend you do the same whenever possible.

I went to the location at Woodfield Commons this morning. I was greeted right away by a young man with a friendly face. Another young man Mickey came over and said he would take care of me. I was returning equipment. Mickey was so pleasant and cheerful and friendly. He printed out a receipt and I was on my way. What a very pleasant experience for a 63 year old woman.

So so. Convenient location, nothing much more, because people working there are not professional in their business practices and tend to lie to your face behind PR small talks and smiles either for laziness to verify their info, for lack of knowledge or most likely to get you take what they give you and go away. Kind of used car sales people in a smaller scale and shorter term work for many. One case in point is, one rep swore what she gave me was one generation before the latest and when returned the item for exchange the next day since this recycled unit was a faulty one, I was informed that was actually 2 generations prior.

Went in to check for rebates on new phone service clerk said only on iPhone. After I went home checked online and found that to be false. Seems like their training plan isnt working. Now I will go back and educate them. GrrrUpdate...went back and got the deal for a new phone and rebate. At least someone knew what I meant.Update 2.... After waiting 3 months for my rebate , I called the rebate center and was told that my purchase didnt qualify for a rebate. I called customer service for mobile services and finally got my point across. My rebates are being applied to my mobile bill as I write this. Xfinity needs a better training program.

😍Let me start by saying we have had Comcast since Comcast was an option. And over the years (most recently mainly) the customer service has improved tremendously.Xfinity has really become customer focused and its reflecting.The most recent change weve made was to give up sprint and try out xfinity mobile because word of mouth made it sound wonderful.Well We had gone into the store literally 15 minutes before closing (so sorry for that) and Melanie Martinez was the one who helped us out, got our phones, transferred our service, and got everything set up and taken care of in about 40 minutes. Not only did she and her manager stay late to accommodate us and our less than patient toddlers.. but she gave us the fastest and most respectful experience of phone buying and switching ever. And normally I hate the thought of starting over when it comes to phones. But everything went so smooth and wonderful. Thank you so MUCH Melanie. The service and coverage has been incredible compared to any other provider weve had. And the customer service alone would keep us even if the price wasnt as awesome as it.Gotta go where it feels great!

Dealing with Xfinity can be challenging at times. However, this store visit was refreshing and quick. Our remote stopped working. I got to the store shortly after they opened and there was already a crowd of people. When checking in, I told them I needed to replace the remote and handed it to him. Without even asking my name, he asked that I wait there, went to the back and retrieved a new one. I walked out in under 5-minutes.

Based on word of mouth, I decided NOT to go to the Xfinity Store to exchange my cable box. Instead I spoke to Tech Support in the chat room. There was not one problem. They told me on Wednesday, that I would get the new cable box in 3-5 business days. I had it on Friday. Now the annoying part came when I was shipping the old cable box and modem back to Comcast in North Carolina. In the box was a shipping label with instructions to apply the new return label over the old shipping label. Done. The box was taped shut and I drove it over to the UPS store in Bloomingdale on Army Trail. My son went to drop it off.....10 minutes go by, he is still the only one in the store. The UPS girl had opened the box and was printing out a brand new label. The information had to be given again, I had to sign a form and I got a ream of paper work from UPS. Comcast is spending, Im sure a lot of money, to print the original label for return shipping. And it is not even used. If I would have known there was going to be nonsensical paperwork, I probably would have called UPS for a pick up at my house. But Comcast did me a solid by getting me my new cable box in an extremely rapid time frame. Thanks, Comcast. 5 Stars for Comcast.....ZERO for UPS in Bloomingdale.

Okay, let me say that my experience was slightly different than most because I was moving out of market so I didnt get the hard sell to stay with Comcast. I got there on a Saturday at 9:30 and was first in line. Out of the store by 10:06 no hassle. Angela was great. Word of advice, start your interaction off with a joke. These people get screamed at all day and will be far more likely to help you out if you put them in a good mood. Also, dont show up right as they open. Youll be at the end of a 30 person line.

There is a reason why this place has so many low ratings. To the Lead in this store who told me to get out of the store, you need to take lessons in customer care from your associates who were very polite and courteous. I went to another xfinity store and the associates there resolved the issue to my satisfaction. Zero rating to the Lead, 4 stars for the associates, averaging down to two stars overall.

I called to set up service at my new house, two weeks before I moved. Comcast told me that I could not set up new service until the current resident moved out. They told me that if the current resident did not cancel their own service, I would have to prove to Comcast that I owned the house by producing the deed. I cannot believe that they would not let me set up an appointment for my new service in advance. Every other utility is easy. This is just another example of Comcasts poor customer service. Again.

I am writing this review because I am wowed at how excellent my experience was at this location with Sr. Sales Chris. I have always called customer service at the 800 number and always had bad service, but this was exceptional. Chris was nice, polite, knowledgeable, friendly and I could go on. But to top it all, there was no wait and I was in and out within minutes.
