Had to get my brake lines replaced and everyone was very helpful and did a great job explaining the issues. They gave me a great price and had the repair done very quickly. Will definitely be returning if I have any issues in the future.

My brother had his engine replaced in his work van. Dropped it off on Monday, and was ready Thursday am of the same week. Very reasonable price and very knowledgeable workers. TLDR: Great customer service. Honest diagnosis and even showed me the faulty parts. Fast service and good price. I’ll definitely be coming back if I have any car future problems.I’m so lucky I found them! My car was making weird sounds and smoking on 75. I was lucky to get here. As I pulled up, Bob came over immediately to help me. He had an idea of what was wrong and offered to let me keep my car in the parking lot for a tow to my main mechanic. I didn’t currently have one, and asked if they could handle it. He said sure, and that they’d have an official diagnosis the next day. He let me stay in the shop until my fiancé could come pick me up even though it was past closing time, which was great.My car was taken care of the next day and I was able to pick it up! The price was reasonable and the service was great!

Literally the most amazing people!!! Walked me through and showed me everything wrong with my car. Fixed it fast and even gave me lunch when I picked my car up. If they ever need a mew business venture the food is top notch as well. The best guys in the business.

My car started losing the ability to accelerate on the highway and I managed to limp off the highway as my car barely was able to move forward. Lo and behold, this repair shop was right there. It was a Saturday afternoon, their bays were full, and I fully expected to be at their mercy and have to leave my car, potentially face exorbitant prices, and call an uber. An incredibly helpful mechanic greeted me and I explained the situation. He diagnosed the problem within minutes (turned out to be something my dealership has a recall for), as well as some additional action I should take soon to prevent other issues, and refused to take any payment for diagnosing it. I get that may not be their normal process and shouldnt be expected of them, but I think it speaks very highly of the integrity of this shop that they would go out of their way as much as they did to help a stranded motorist, even if it didnt lead to a sale. I can only assume from my brief but very positive interaction that you can expect honest advice and a fair price from this shop. I will definitely look for ways to give them my business in the future, even though it is a bit further from my home than other shops.

Great work at an honest price. My water pump needed to be replaced and it was done quickly, clean and thorough. Bob explained some other issues that he had seen common to my car and that I should anticipate fixing them in the future - he even gave me a diagram in case I wanted to try to fix it myself.

Stay AWAY from these guys. I took my SUV for quite awhile and it just seemed to have problems every few months but they were cheap so I went back. I now think they were purposely creating problems. The final straw was they diagnosed that there were sparks coming from my distributor and it Wasnt safe to drive., I knew something was wrong because it had been doing fine. So, I had it towed to Troy Auto (these guys are great!) They said absolutely nothing was wrong and it ran great with NO issues for the next 2 years! Stay FAR away from 12th and Stephenson!

Stay as far away as possible. Had them work on my truck one time, and it was the worst mistake i ever made...First issue was the price. They tell you the cheapest price but it ends up being way more then every other shop. Then while doing my upper controls arms they used a torch to heat them up for easier removal. They burned a hole in my C.V shaft rubber boot and then denied it. Even going as far as saying that they have never use torches to remove any stuck controls arms ever, witch is a huge lie. Ive been working on cars almost my entire life and although its not my profession I can say that i am very knowledgeable about repairing vehicles. the only reason i took my truck here was because i was sick. Even all of my Ase certified master mechanic from work will agree with everything Ive just said. now of course the man became very hostile and finally after 10 minutes of yelling at me said he would fix the problem, but at that point i did not feel comfortable enough to leave him my Truck. Witch comes down to the Next issue. So i start doing the job my self and go to remove the tires that they had just taken off two weeks earlier, and i could not remove the lug nuts even with a 3/4 drive impact at 150psi using a 1/2 line. thats right they torque my lugs nut down to over 1000 ft lbs of torque not the 140 it calls for. morally of the story if you need your car worked on dont go here.

I have taken my old car to this shop for the last 3 years, and never once regretted it. They never try to push any unnecessary repair on my 16 year old car, always looking for ways to save me money. The last few times I stopped by, it turned out to be nothing at all (rusty heat shield buzzing a bit) and after a quick check and a drive around the neighborhood, they sent me on my way without charging me anything. My wife also received excellent service on her newer car. They are very loyal to their loyal customers. Frank, Bob and Tareq are really friendly and I always end up staying a bit longer to share coffee with them or talk to their parrot. After trying a few other shops when we first moved in Royal Oak, I think this one is the best place to take your car old or new.

Several years ago my brother took his car there - It was my old car. I knew it very well and maintained it very well. I mean every fluid down to power steering, rear diff, coolant, etc on time. I knew everything about the vehicle. My brother went in to get an oil change - the guy comes back with some BS BAG of oil - its like 3/4 of a quart and says You have serious problems this is all that was in your car. Listen - nice try dude but theres no way a vehicle with a 6 quart sump could run on that amount of oil. Plus, theres a low oil indictor - again oil wouldnt even circulate in that amount. My brother calls me and tells me. I did the previous oil change. I know it doesnt burn any oil and it doesnt leak a drop. I tell him just have the dude change the oil and be done. My brother goes back and some shade tree mechanic tells him the car is extremely dangerous and it shouldnt go over 25mph! it has a bad rear wheel bearing, a bad tie rod, some other misc stuff and needs $600 in work. I told my brother dont walk, RUN away. Just so you idiots know - I serviced the car the remainder of the ownership. Everything you said was a bold faced lie. He drove it problem free for another 2 years 25k miles before selling it. I think i did a rear caliper and general maintenance. Dont even consider going here .Plus its a mess, how many project cars do you have just sitting rotting away. yeah ill get to it some day. Sure you will
