I loved this coffee shop! This shop is my favorite place to hang and do my paperwork. I like the coziness and the ambiance of this place. It was so relaxing, quiet, and not too crowded. The coffee that they had was so delicious and not too strong. The cakes that they had were also delicious. The prices were very affordable. What a great coffee shop!

Good spot! Nothing too fancy. I came specifically because I saw they have Heart coffee and that’s one of my preferred roasters. There’s ample seating and it’s a pretty good vibe. It feels like they’re on the way to more of a modern feel. No special drinks here, just the standards which is fine. I’d come again if I need just a normal every day coffee, so 4 stars from me.

Knowledgeable baristas and always great coffee! Love being able to get heart coffee in Oakland:) Their espressos and lattes are always amazing! Loving the new shop location; especially Fridays for the farmers market. Lots of good food and shops nearby to make a day of it. Lots of table space to sit and hang with friends or do some studying. They also have some bomb ass merch 👌🏼

Beautiful spot. Conveniently located across from Oakland Convention Center. Delicious coffee!!!! Delicious. I drink decaf and it is hard to find DELICIOUS decaf. Prices are on par with area.

Awesome coffee and pastries. Coloso serves Heart coffee, and while the space may not be ideal for doing work for hours, its great for a quick coffee break.

Coloso is awesome! As of 2018-2019 they brew Heart coffee and every espresso Ive had here is very good and very balanced. No pour-overs but their drip more than makes up for it. If youre looking for quality espresso, dont bother with the price-hiked Blue Bottle around the corner. Nothing against BB seasonal espresso but Coloso espresso is on par to say the least!

Plain brewed coffee was good quality and reasonably cheap. I got an iced mocha for a friend whos got a bit sweeter of a taste and they enjoyed it with minimal sugar

Coloso Coffee is an awesome little shop. Minimal, clean, with classic espresso offerings. Their coffee is good, but not great. Maybe just a one-off, I’ll have to go again! But I won’t just be going for the coffee: the pastries are divine! Inventive takes on traditional French patisserie add some welcome nuance to this solid shop in historic Oakland.

I crazy love this place.If you appreciate really good simple coffee...Coloso is your jam. Also, I am not sure who does their pastries, but both savory and sweet not only hit the mark...but are 💯. Service is also spot on. The place is clean. With indoor (shared) and outdoor (benches) seating. Gotta go there if you are in the old part of downtown Oakland. You know, by Swan Market.

The coffee is fantastic! We stopped by hoping for some baked goods for breakfast with our coffee but learned that those dont come in before Coloso opens, instead they come at any point in the first hour that theyre open. Since we were there shortly after opening, there was sadly no munchies to be had.

The owners are experts in both the art and science of great coffee, and great guys as well. Best espresso and macchiatos in the area. Comfortable atmosphere to hang out; interior is attractive with clean lines; location is great. If you haven’t been, you gotta try it!

Classy and relaxing ... the entire space is very calming and they play nice punk music. The coffee is excellent and what food they sell here like chocolate is super high quality. Great for people watching and the employees are knowledgeable about all things coffee. I wish they were open 24 hours a day!

Interesting modern Scandinavian feel to this place. Generic coffee shop to suit your needs. Staff was incredibly knowledgeable and knew a lot about coffee varieties (as one would expect). There were a few food items to choose from, but were basic coffee shop fare (cookies, brownies, et cetera).

The small paper cup of coffee tasted like something out of a k-cups machine while being priced as if it was Sight Glass single original. I had high hopes but was very dissapointed.

Cozy,local, fair priced. TBH the espresso isnt my favourite but I love the drip,pastries, and customer service.
