Incredible place. To leave the story untold I will admit that I witnessed the owner perform a act of sheer heroism. I visited with with Jersey people and ran into other Jersey people so it is safe to say the bagels are class. Great vegan fare.

I live in the neighborhood and used to like coming here. The bagels are comparably good for the neighborhood. The service is usually slow, but the last two times I came I was ignored for a long time and walked home before ordering.

The bagels are amazing and there are a lot of vegan options for lunch, like stir fry. A nice place to sit outside and eat. Easily one of the best options in the area. And the owner is really friendly.

Ordered Teriyaki Chicken over rice and Garlic Noodles. The rice was very hard, I could not eat it. I called to voice my concern and was told to come back for a replacement. I went back the next day and the food was just as bad as it was the day before. This time the food looked totally different, the Teriyaki chicken had parsley this time but barely any sauce, and the chicken wasnt cut. The Garlic Noodles was way too spicy and the next day I ordered non spicy and to my surprise, they had a vinegary taste. I had to wait 45 minutes to get my food, but I was told that it would be 15 minutes. Only 2 customers was ahead of us. I dont recommend this place if you want quality food and timely service.

So yummy, homemade bagels, delicious breakfast and lunch, nice vibe inside with comics to read few games to play for kids, and the music selection in cafe always good. Easy parking! Skip san pablo cafes and come to Dee Spot! Lots of good homemade hot and cold drinks too.

High quality ingredients. Friendly people. Awesome espresso. Awesome drip. Seriously, the best espresso Ive tried in this neighborhood.Plus every season they have a free blind coffee tasting to let the community decide which local beans theyll use for that session.Theyre new and still figuring a few things out but they have a good thing going on, and Im sure it will only get better from here.

I am so confused by all the negative reviews. I walked in,and was kindly greeted by the owner almost immediately. He asked me if i wanted breakfast or lunch. I said breakfast, he recommended the breakfast sandwich on the Texas toast. IT IS ONE OF THE BEST BREAKFAST SANDWICHES IN THE EAST BAY. Yes, its a bit greasy (like a good b-fast sandwich should be) but not too much to handle. I was blown away at the care he took in making it for me. The coffee was solid. The guy who runs this place really cares about his craft, dont know why all these people are hating. He makes juices from scratch in the mornings! Give this place a shot. Its really pretty good. Its not Farleys but it deserves to stick around. And dont trust anyone reviewing bagels on the west coast - if theyre not going to bagel shops for their bagels, then they dont know anything... Try the Texas toast! Dee Spot is doing something different in a nice way.

Ive only has the bacon, egg, and cheese and coffee, but for a local joint its good. Definitely get their Cold Brew its delicious and they put time into making it. Great notes and flavors. They are also always trying to experiment with new dishes and the menu, so youll always see something new when you go in. Go here for a good vibe. On Uber Eats!

I love that the ingredients are fresh and natural. My egg, mushroom and cheese sandwich was delicious. The staff was knowledgeable about coffee, which was very helpful because I am not. I must go back and try more items.

Josh & Chan make a great cappuccino! I go out of my way for it. Also, they just started baking their own GF bread in house - so awesome. Chans a great guy & he goes out of his way to talk with (and listen to) his customers in order to understand our preferences.They also do a regular coffee tasting survey - which determines some of the coffee that will be available over the next month(s); and, they also did a poetry slam around the holidays & are looking to start bringing in live musicians on some Sunday mornings.*I was just chatting with Chan & discovered that they donate all excess pastries & other expired foods to the local community on a weekly basis!*Bottom line is that Dee Spot is definitely putting their best foot forward to contributing to, and being a part of the local community.

Great housemade granola in a bowl with strawberries and banana. I got it with half & half and it was delicious. The coffee was way better then I expected as it was in a poor your own format. I forgot to look at the brand but I was surprised at how good and fresh it was.

I have always felt welcomed by the staff at this cafe. The coffee drinks are spot on and their pastries and baked goods are made on site. I especially like the gluten free options.

Please do not let the 5-star ratings lead you astray. Ive given it multiple tries and been disappointed every time. And I really tried! But after too many were out of all the things and oh maybe you just dont like this kind of roast, Im sad to say I will not be visiting Dee Spot again. Good bye Farleys cool neighborhood vibes, decently priced and delicious food. Hello greasy, overpriced eggs with random veggies and coffee that tastes like dirt. Sad day yall.

We came in thinking it was Farleys... Looks like Dee Spot took over the building before they got their act together. Bad customer service, over priced, stale bagels, everyone seemed upset at their food - overall bad vibe. Saving grace was the barista made a decent red eye and apologized for the 20 minute wait to make a toasted bagel.
