I got my glasses there a couple of years ago, and they said the lenses were scratch resistant, but they got scratched the day I got them, even with careful handling. I complained and they changed the lenses for me but they still kept getting scratches to the point where I couldn’t even use the glasses anymore. The worst part is that I paid more money for them plus the expensive frames. I have a pair I got elsewhere for a fraction of the cost close to 10 year ago and those lenses are still scratch resistant and much better quality than the ones I got from Studio Optix. I would have complained and tried getting a refund the second time around, but I had some big life events happening at the time so I was too preoccupied to care about my glasses then. After spending a couple of hundred bucks out of pocket, I expected the glasses to last at least a few years with no problem (I have the same prescription for 10 years with regular checkups), but they only lasted about a couple of months at best.

It was my first visit to Studio Optix and Dr. Cassell and his son, Adam, were friendly, prompt, and provided exceptional service. It was a routine eye exam for me but I was presented with additional knowledge about my vision that I had not been informed about before. I also appreciate the Saturday morning availability!

Great staff, from reception to clinician to doctor to optician. Just a friendly, courteous group of knowledgeable professionals. I highly recommend Studio Optix if you need an exam or new glasses in Midtown Manhattan (Rock Center.) Can’t wait to get my first new glasses in 8 years.

Love this place. I’ve been coming here for years. They set the bar high for other locations that have fallen flat for me. Dr Butler is the best. Super friendly while still being thorough throughout the exam. Multi tasking at its finest!!! All of the staff are great. Just had my first visit since COVID restrictions have been in place. They are set up and ready to go. I felt comfortable being inside, mask and all. Everyone is masked up with hand sanitizer all over the place and someone wiping down equipment before and after use. Safe as can be.

6 years ago I had Lasik surgery in Seattle WA which left me with Dry eyes. I have since resolved my Dry eye issues but the laser surgery left me with red eyes, that side effect never did go away. I constantly looked like I had a bad cold or the flu--when actually I feel very healthy and vital. Ive been very self-conscience about my red eyes, wore sunglasses always, and avoided social situations. Dr. Cassel and his amazing optician Sandy fitted me with soft prosthetic lenses which completely conceal the redness. I feel like my happy self again and cannot thank Dr. Cassel and Sandy enough. I am happy to report that I am no longer a recluse in Seattle!

I walked in to ask a simple direction question toward Warby Parker since google kept pinning this location as it and I was a little lost. The receptionist was so rude and had such a nasty attitude about helping. Obviously even if I wanted To get glasses I wouldn’t do it here. They are have zero customer etiquette. Update about customer service - It seems they have to reply to let me know about safety precautions they took — very pleased. Unfortunately doesn’t hold valid to my review because that receptionist tried to sell me to come in and help buy glasses. Please review your video footage and see that I did NOT enter your store, merely asked at a distance for HELP. Maybe along with safety etiquette you also teach your staff compassion. Stay safe everyone and DON’T shop here.

Questions for the business manager/owner:- How much $ have you guys billed for without your customers knowledge?- And out of that $, how much did you pocket without providing service/product for?- I didnt realize you operated a SaaS company and booked deferred revenues - maybe I forgot to execute that contract your lawyers sent over?Borderline fraudulent if not a VERY slimy front office (no issues with the optometrist - my doctor was friendly and good). The business had the audacity to tell me their billing practice was correct when I contacted them, so I was forced to call my insurance to resolve (which they did easily).Issues1) Billed my insurance for my full $250 annual allowance but I only purchased $140 of products. This was done without my knowledge/permission. I realized this 4 months later after checking my annual allowance. Studio Optix never told me that I had credit so they would have pocketed the excessive amount (just like your ex-gf that wants nothing to do with you, no email, text, or phone). This could have been OK if they agreed to refund me after I called, but they refused to and told me this was the correct method and I need to bring a new prescription to them if I want to use my credit (good try but didnt work this time for you). Ended up calling my insurance company to have them claw back my credit.2) Did not provide OEM rebate on contact lenses until after I chased multiple times via email and phone (3 in total). Had this issue during my first purchase last year but I let it go because it wasnt a huge deal. But if you ever order from these guys just realize they dont care about their customers pockets.

I first went to Dr. Butler when I was experiencing eye pain. The office fit me in right away and treated it with urgency, it turned out I had a cornea ulcer so it was good they did!! The front desk were so kind and comforting. Dr. Butler saw me quickly and treated me thoroughly and with amazing patient care. I felt totally confident in him and knew I was in good hands. It was a scary situation but my eye healed in a just over a week. After that I knew I stumbled upon a gem of a place. I went back recently for a routine eye exam, turns out my previous optometrist had been giving me the wrong contact prescription (by a lot!). Dr Butler changed my lenses and prescription and I’m seeing much better. After my visit I sat with Adam who pick out new glasses for me that I adore and helped explain all my insurance options to me. The entire experience has been nothing but ideal, HIGHLY recommended!!

Very competent. Got an appointment very quickly, almost no wait. Consultation performed by the doctor and the staff was always fair and transparent, no pressure to sell me the most expensive products, but the ones that fit best to my needs. Fair pricing overall! Will definitely come back. :)

Cannot say enough about this place! Efficient, professional, and a pleasure to deal with. I cant think of a single thing that could be better. Have been coming for a few years. Just called by phone, my info was pulled up instantly and I had my contact lens re-order processed, for delivery to me without charge in two days. Hard to imagine better service. The medical staff is equally impressive - highly knowledgeable and totally trustworthy. Theres no overselling -= just good, reliable service.

Love this place! Very fast service when it comes to getting new glasses and extremely helpful and friendly staff. When I had difficulty adjusting to the curve on the new glasses I got they took them back and had them adjusted at no extra charge. My new favorite eye doctor!

Adam helped me and picked a one of a kind eyeglass style, so unique and elegant ---I plan to go there now, every year when I need new glasses!! Tristan was super knowledgeable and brutally honest.Great selection, pretty expensive though. No shortage of quality frames here however I spent 10 minutes in the store and they held my insurance so I couldnt shop at any other eyes stores the rest of the day without calling a 1 800 number... just be aware these folks work on commission which makes for a slightly different feel then other shops selling mid to high quality products.

My visit with Dr.Cassel was very frustrating - he rushed the exam within 5mins and didnt really care about it. I was also taken aback by his remarks such has I cant help you just try these two brands and pick one you are splitting hairs this should be a slam dunk...I dont know why it is taking so long ,I got to see other patient and telling his assistant you got to help me...I have no time for this..To to fair, My first visit with Dr.Cassel was fine. I told him how I started to feel uncomfortable of my right eye and had blurry version when reading. Dr. Cassel gave me two different brand to try and asked me to lowered my left eyes power from 4.50 to 4.25 to lessen the stress on my right eye (even my test results suggested 450 for both). At the end of the appointment- He asked me to let the store knowAfter about a week, I still had the same issue so I gave Studio Optix a call and scheduled an appointment with Dr. Cassel again. I came in on time and was escorted to his office 10 mins later. This is where everything start to turn southFirst, He clearly didnt recall my last visit nor did he write any notes down. I had to try to explain to him that I still had been feeling uncomfortable and why I was wearing a lower powered lenses than my exam suggested (4.25 vs 4.50) but clearly he was not in the mood of listening - he insisted that based on his record, which showed that 4.50 for both eyes, You are confusing yourself and you are splitting hairs and bluntly asked me to pick one brand and he would write a prescription and call it a day (i.e. he was also trying to prescribe 4.25 both for me, which clearly showed that he didnt know what he was talking about..). I declined and had to literally beg him to see if there is anything he can do to help me...his answer was plain and simple I cant help you, period.Given I was still feeling uncomfortable, I asked him again whether he could take a look at my eyes with contacts using the microscope to see if the ones that I was wearing at the time were well-fitted. He was reluctant and started to mumbled that I will take a look but Im telling you that they are fine... without even looking at first...I asked a couple more questions and all I got was this should be a slam dunk...I dont know why it is taking so longDuring the entire visit, he behaved like I was wasting his time and made clear to me that he needed to see the next patient, he even stepped out to ask his assistant to you got to help me here and questioning why they sent me in to see him in the first place within the first 5mins, which was unbelievable given I did make an appointment (at what point contact fitting becomes a one-and-done thing?)At the end, he give me one more brand and said he cant help me and asked me to try both and call back next Monday to place a order and made it clear that he cant help and no more visitHonestly, Ive been wearing contacts for many years and I have never had issue before - so I agree with him that it should usually be a 15 mins one-time visit and be done with it. By no means that I am an expert as he is in his field - It could very possibility that there is nothing he can do but, as a doctor, how can you have such an ego that you dont even want to listen to your patient and dont care whether he/she is feeling ok? In addition, what doctor doesnt check his patients visiting history for second visit? This just showed how incompetent he isI know he probably didnt make any money for the second visit of a contact fitting but please, I made an appoint and the time should be respected at the minimum.His ego and lack of sympathy as a doctor was mind-boggling.

I was able to get a walk-in appointment with no drama. And my prescription is perfect. I was thrilled. I dont understand the negativity.

This is the best eye doctor I ever had; you get a very thorough and latest technology exam in an immaculate bright setting, lots of choices and price points for glasses, great doctors and customer service. Good hours to accommodate schedules and no crowded waiting room - just a couple of small benches, its just a great place.

I am probably one of their most difficult patients.I have difficult astigmatism, as well as a general intolerance for soft contacts and difficulty with gas-permeable.Dr. Gonzales is patient and thorough and worked tirelessly to find solutions for my eyes that did not include the phrase.Wear glasses.Danny is personable and helpful, a rare find in the city. Studio Optic works has worked very hard to accommodate my needs without ever making me feel like a chore or a nuisance.I would recommend their services to others.

I called ahead around 10:30 AM asking about an eye exam for the DMV - they told me I can just walk in and told me how much it would cost in advance. I walked in about ten minutes later and they asked me for a form I didnt know I needed. It wasnt an issue - they handed me a copy, had me fill out the pertinent information and received the payment before being shown to Dr. Sarah Klibanoff. Professional and efficient - she conducted the eye exam, took the time to explain what information I would need to submit online and sent me on my way. There were no issues to speak of - as it should be. Many thanks and definitely recommended.

I returned from New Orleans last weekend to find my left eye in severe pain, red, and really dry. I called around 2pm that day to book a appointment. They didnt have any space on the schedule but told me to come in anyways. I waited about 10 min, Dr. Klibanoff examined my eye, diagnosed it within a minute and created a treatment plan on the spot.The next day I returned for another brief checkup just to be sure everything was healing properly. I cant thank you guys enough, Im almost back to 100%. Eyes are so important to everyday life. I wouldnt go anywhere else!

Nothing short of fabulous. Mitchell did all possible and showed true professionalism. I had stumbled across the store as I had just arrived in NYC after a long circumnavigation of Sth America where my glasses had snapped. I still had a couple of weeks holidays left but was totally disabled due to the broken glasses. Within 1 business day I had new glasses better than my old and was back on track. Awesome service cant recommend Studio Optix enough. Thanks Mitchell and staff.

Bad service, exorbitantly expensive. For a broken part in a Dilem frame, for which Studio Optix is an exclusive distributor, called three times and provided details, they promised to call back three times, nada. Had to come in person. Charged me $55 upfront for a small plastic part, promised to call back the next day, never did. When I called up again, this time to cancel the order, they gave me attitude, and I had to threaten to dispute the charge with my credit card company to get it cancelled.

Came to this place to get a eye exam last week they did the exam at the end spoke to some lady who say l dont have any glases that fit you with your insurance she wanne to force me to buy a pair wich she ad uv and all the things l say need a pair of glasse for distance simple she just took the paper broke in front of my face and say just pay 49 dollars 10 copayment and 39 for the exam they bill my insurance 185 dollars just the exam wich already pay with my debit card but l m going to get my money back call my bank and wil let the insurance not thay charging then for nothing

I had problems with my eyes for some time. I heard about Studio Optix and Dr.Cassel in NYC so I decided to go there and have my eyes checked.I received a very professional treatment; Dr. Cassel took the time to answer all my questions and I had many.After having my eyes checked, I bought my glasses there too. Not only they showed me a large selection of different frames to choose from but they also helped me to find the glasses that I could afford. We went through all the options in detail until I found the perfect glasses.Dr. Cassel and his team offered me the best service that I have ever had. Go to Studio Optix was the best decision. Competent staff and good managers are kind to you. If you realize that you have forgotten your contact lenses while traveling and first explain that you want to buy contact lenses without a prescription by arranging English words on the phone, can you come because the person who comes to the store can help you? That thing. When I lined up English words with the person who came to the store and called the woman at the reception desk, a woman who seemed to be a manager (a woman who responded to the phone) came out from the back, responded quickly, and the number of sheets required for stay (12) I received it for free. The English words I utter are so terrible that no one else can understand them, but they understood it as if I were solving a quiz. I am very grateful for such a response in NY, which is treated as noisy and rough.
