Drs. Rosenthal and Scherk are exceptionally capable and responsive to patient concerns; and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.

I feel extremely lucky to have found Fifth Ave Eye Care and Dr. Gorman who installed new lenses for me in 2012. Thanks h the o his expertise my eyes came out extremely well and are still good (20/20 without glasses) after 9 years. The whole establishment is well run: professional yet super friendly. I just heard that, alas, Dr. Gorman will be retiring soon, but I am sure the others at Fifth Avenue are equally good.

My best experience yet, with eye doctors.For years I have been having eye issues, from very dry eyes to drooping eyelids that limited my vision. Dr Rosenthal is the one who finally divulged my condition, and recommends permanent solutions.I was referred to him by a friend who also sees doctors there. I am grateful to have found Dr Rosenthal, and I would recommend him and his establishment to anyone seeking eye care professionals.

I felt very confident with the technician and the doctor. I love the fact that the office has the latest equipment for diagnosis. First time I did not have to have drop in my eye to dilate them. They have the latest non evasive machine to look at the eye.

I came in to see Dr. Rosenthal on an emergency basis. My right eye had turned a bright red, and it unnerved me. He saw me immediately and gave good care, a thorough examination, and a complete followthrough. I can reccommend Dr. Rosenthal. As annaside,,I can aalso recommend Dr. Gorman, who was out of the offuce, but has been myndoctor for years. This is a really good office, and U soeak from years of experience.

Dr. Kenneth Rosenthal and his staff were consistently professional and competent from the start. His assistants also demonstrated sophistication in the use of the numerous medical instruments that are found in his large office suite, also taking care to carefully and courteously explain the results. Dr. Rosenthals true talent as a cataract surgeon was most obvious when he operated on my more challenging eye as I could literally feel the intensity of his work, painless, as he performed the procedure. When I walked in, I probably had about 50% of the better eye, but perhaps only 20% of the traumatized one. Almost at the end of this long procedure now, my vision is close to what it was as a young man, at least 95% better. His demeanor is so warm and friendly that he makes the consultation so interesting you will clearly understand everything. He is well known and respected as one of the top doctors in his field.Once you meet his staff you will find a team that works effetely. They treat every patient with the utmost respect. I met dr rosenthal tuesday 6/22/21.I was looking to do cataract surgeryon both eyes,.i told dr rosenthal that if dr gorman recommended me to him,,i knew he was the right dr for me.Upon speaking to dr rosenthal at first, i got a warm feeling from him as a caring dr and one who made you feel comfortable about getting eye surgery.He explained to me the options, and was quite sufficent in detail..i felt very comfortable with dr rosenthal and realized he was quite professional in handling all the specific details that i needed to know about cataract surgery.He was quite low key and quite friendly,which i feel is necessary when choosing a dr.In addition,the dr made me quite relaxed and comfortable in his presence.Therefore, i felt going forward with my procedure, was just a matter of timing.I feel very confident in reccommending dr rosenthal to any of my friends or family members.ELLIOT ADER

I am seeing dr gorman for 22 years. Nevver have i encountered a more compassionate and caring doctor. He doesnt pressure your office visit with limitation to time spent. I know at times i must of asked him the same question with my concern to my eyes and he answers them over again. From scheduling an appointment with Bibi to being prepped by Danielle and meeting with Dr. Kenneth Rosenthal every step of the examination is fluid, professional and thoughtful. Patients are treated as if they are family. This is a five star operation.I must also add that Dr. Alexandra Scherk went out of her way on multiple occasions, including over a weekend to facilitate appointments, tests and visits with a neuro ophthalmologist. She is warm, professional and radiates kindness. You won’t have a better experience elsewhere.

Good care but rather long wait to be seen

I have been struggling with multiple surgeries and conditions for 6 years and this wonderful practice has taken me through the worst. Most recently, Dr Scherk and I have been on a one year experimental journey to combat a frustrating new condition and Im happy to say that we have won the battle! I was able to get an appointment at short notice which was really important because I had a lot of discomfort.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gorman for a very long time. Dr. Gorman sold his practice to Dr. Rosenthal and everything changed. Today I spent 40 minutes filling out a medical history on my phone that I had been required to give on a clipboard a year ago. I was requited to provide my complete social security number without any security guarantee. I was required to provide my credit card information, with CCV code, without security guarantee. Dr. Gorman spent time with his patients without getting too off schedule. Rosenthals first priority is commercial. Minutes before my appointment today a received a very important message from Rosenthal. It turned out to be a push survey aimed at selling me surgical services I did not need. Earlier, again online, I was pushed to sign up for a retina scan, for $95 not covered by insurance, that again I did not need. Dr. Gorman is a remarkable physician. He is under no obligation to sell his practice to any particular person. He has sold it to a person without merit. It raises the question as to why a person of Rosenthals age should have to purchase a practice. Why has he not built one himself or with medical partners?I will not recommend Rosenthal to anyone. I recommended Dr. Gorman to everyone.

Great Eye Care. Amazing things happen here!

If you need eye care, this is the place to go. I had a very serious condition that had been misdiagnosed (dont ever go to Lenscrafters for anything other than glasses), and Dr. Gorman saw me immediately (even though I was a new patient), diagnosed me immediately, and went to work to correct the problem. He tells you exactly what is going on, and teaches you about the problem and about your eyes. He is so lovely that I look forward to my appointments with him. The staff in their office is wonderful and efficient, and they keep the place running like a well-oiled machine. I am so grateful to have found this doctor and this office.

Ill informed and rushed. visible eye infection present. Treatment option was place a baked potato on infected eye 4 times a day. could barely keep my eye open. Beware
