I been coming here for years and honestly the customer service is amazing. From the people at the front desk, to the doctors…no complaints! It’s a small business and a small location, but the people are so friendly and sweet. Dr. Amin is my doctor there and she’s the best! Wait time is minimal and you are in and out with your appointment, while being efficient. Thanks, guys!

This was the best eye exam Ive ever had. The doctor first took me through what was going to happen and then explained every step as we were doing it and answered my questions very well. She took the time to listen to my concerns and explain what was changing with my eyes with age. Ive had astigmatism all my life and never really knew how they impacted my vision until now. The staff are lovely.

Eyes on Second and Dr. Cawog is the only eye doctor I will ever go to moving forward, Im locked in. Dr. Cawog takes her time and really makes the patient feel comfortable and knowledgable about what needs to happen to ensure near perfect vision. I love her attitude, her professionalism and her care. Ive already recommended new patients to her and I plan to recommend even more. I love Eyes on Second and I look forward to building together.

Amazing experience here! Everyone was very nice and helpful, I wasn’t pressured into buying an expensive pair of lenses from them, and they helped ensure I would get the max rebate for my contact lense purchase. I’ve seen a couple of the doctors here to check on my dry eyes, and both were awesome

Dr. Cawog seems really great: courteous, fast, thorough.But it took forever just to pick up glasses that were “ready for pickup”.Two workers on laptops and no other patients/customers but still no help for me. Had to remind the front desk that I was still waiting. She handed me my glasses without my case and she had to fetch me a new case.tldr: Medical service is good but front desk service may need some help staying organized and optimizing their communications.

I went for a visit on August 29th, 2021, and the doctor was great. They said they would order some trial contacts lenses since I never had used them before and call me back to try and buy my year supply. They also said it should take a couple of days to arrive. So I have been calling them every week since that day. The answer I get is, we will pull out your account and call you back. But, of course, I never got the callback.

Im really glad that I came across Eyes on Second when I needed to make a last-minute eye exam. Dr. Schneur is very nice and performed the exam quickly and thoroughly. She was also enthusiastic about explaining all of the exam results to me, and made sure that I understood everything that was affecting my vision. After a short period of getting used to wearing glasses again, the prescription turned out to be excellent. The other staff here are also great, and very responsive, both in person and via email. They have gone above and beyond with their customer service. Highly recommended!

It was my first time at Eyes on Second and I will definitely be returning! My exam was quick but not rushed and all my questions and concerns were talked through. Great environment and everyone I saw was really interactive and invested in the customers.

Their optician is useless. Has to go back four times to get my glasses fitted. Once the one lense was of a different color than the other and they still called to give them back to me -the optician clearly didn’t give a sht. Now Still the lenses don’t feel right, I’m getting a headache wearing them. Unless they get a better skilled technician, who cares, to cut the lense the service won’t improve.

I booked my appointment with Eyes on Second on Zocdoc. When I went to there on the day of my appointment, the receptionist asked me for my information to confirm my identity (name, address, time of appointment) and then requested me to take a seat on the brown chairs near the office doors. The wait time was about 10 minutes, which is not bad. Dr. Lina Cawog had to finish up her appointment with the previous patient.Its been about a decade or so since Ive been to any optometrist. I didnt really know what to expect, but Dr. Lina Cawog was very articulate and clear about the steps for the eye exam. I gave her my glasses, she took their prescription down, and during the eye exam, she found that my prescription had changed drastically from the prescription of my glasses. The exam tested both of my eyes through different lenses, one at a time, on the clarity of the letters on the screen.After my eye exam, I had to get a new pair of glasses because my prescription changed drastically since my previous prescription many years ago. The only suggestion I have is for the optical receptionist to ask the patient about the frame price range budget since not everyone has the budget for luxury brand glasses. That would show to me that, in addition to the profit, you are compassionate towards your patients. I ended up purchasing a very expensive pair of frames, but I guess thats fine since I likely wont purchase another pair any time soon.Overall, I had a positive experience at Eyes on Second. Ill be coming back here for my annual eye exams, and Id recommend anyone to check them out. Oh, and Dr. Cawog was very personable, which made the appointment more enjoyable as well!

After that Dr. Cawog visited me, she directed to another associate who is responsible for frames. Again, the charges that he reviewed for frames were significantly higher than my plan. I showed him my plan on my phone from my official insurance account, he did not care and simply asked me to leave and figure out my insurance first. And of course they charged me 3 times higher than what my real copay is. I do not care about money, but it is so disgusting when you see that those associates do not even try to see the problem. I will never go back there! If you do, do not trust them!

Providers were all helpful and the doctor was curious and friendly! Definitely will go back.

The office is neat, clean, friendly. Fast, and efficient didn’t need to do in person paperwork it was done online which makes me feel better about all the in person contact going on. The doctor I saw was so nice and eased my anxiety about the exam with a lot of comfort. Definitely sticking with this office for the future.

It was such an amazing experience. I was greeted by such an amazing staff who walked me through the beginning process. I saw one of the best caring, professional, and understanding Optometrist ever! Dr. Fenella Shneur is amazing at what she does. She walked me through her decisions so that I fully understood what was going on with my eyes. She also worked to get my very bad eyesight to 20/20 with contacts, something many other optometrist have given me the short straw on. Only to leave with an amazing experience as well from the front staff helping me to choose my options. I am now a Eyes on Second customer forever... and I am grateful for it.

Wonderfully kind and helpful staff, quick to explain / breakdown what’s happening (exam, prices, etc) without needing to be asked, very clean and tidy place. All in all plan on continuing at this place and would recommend to anyone looking.

I went to eyes on second for the first time so that I could get glasses after years of only wearing contacts. My optometrist was Dr. Lina Cawog and it took multiple times of me coming into the shop for her to do and re-do my prescription to get it right. I remained patient and understanding, i was a new client so there might be errors (the prescription was so wrong that it was - instead of +). A year later I came back in for my annual and Dr. Lina Cawog attempted to upsell me by saying I had a slight change in my prescription that needed to be updated in my glasses. When I received those, the prescription was once again very off, gave me headaches, and made it difficult to see. Turns out I did not need any change to my prescription, but eyes on second still refused to give me a refund for the error they once again had made. I will not be coming back again.

Very happy with my visit, all staff were very kind and helpful, always lots of frames to choose from, and theres a new procedure to look at my eyes that doesnt require dilation! LOVED that part!!!

Overall good experience. The exam results were clearly explained to me and I really like the new contact lenses they recommended.But the glasses order takes longer than expected. Haven’t received any updates since Jun 17th.

Super friendly atmosphere. The doctor was great, she was efficient and pleasant - she explained everything that was going on which was great because it was my first time at an eye doctor. The front of the shop was also a relaxed atmosphere and the employees were very helpful and friendly.

Ive been going to Dr Shiyan for nearly a decade now and trust her and her wonderful team completely with my vision needs (which are considerable 😅).They offer flexible hours and make sure you the best possible deal thru rebates etc, which is super helpful for someone whos uninsured, like myself.

Staff are nice. However, very disappointing eyes check-up and contact lens fitting. I have been having annual check-up and contact lens prescription fitting for over 20 years, and this is one of the least professional and thorough check-up ever. The optometrist hardly do any exam, and rushed through to giving a prescription, and didnt even do a complete fit check with new contact lens and wrote up a prescription. Totally unprofessional. In totally 20 min, and 15 min were optometrist and staff explaining insurance and pushing products.

So fabulous! They were nice enough to make a same day exchange for me bc the first sunglasses I got fit too loosely. The second ones fit perfectly!

Staffs were helpful and patient. Doc Shiyan was knowledgeable and took her time answering my questions about prescription and contact lenses. Overall smooth and enjoyable eye exam.

This was my first ever eye exam! I arrived a few minutes early and was seen right away. The doctor answered all of my questions, explained what my prescription meant, and was very sweet and extremely knowledgeable. I really appreciated that she was evidence based especially in regards to things like blue blockers. She was honest and helpful! I loved the help in the front with the try on, Covid safety policies are followed but don’t get in the way! I can’t wait to pick up my first ever pair of glasses! They said the turn around time should be about a week. Thank you!!

Their customer service is amazing. i arrived 30 min late due to the the first snow in NYC slowing everything down, and they were still able to accommodate me that day. and they were patient with me as i tried on frame after frame. theyve also done very well with being very conscious of the spread of covid. they made sure they cleaned every frame i tried on before placing it back on the shelf. and i definitely appreciate how they kindly reminded a patient to make sure his mask was covering his mouth and nose.

Whoever answers the phone is pretty rude. But shes not important-- the doctors and other staff are superb. Overall a great place!

I came for a vision exam. Dr. Cawog explained all of the steps and discussed my concerns as well as other aspects of eye health I didnt think of before.

From the moment I stepped in the office I was greeted with a smile. Though she had a mask on, her eyes and the intonations in Taty’s voice made me feel welcomed.I was attended promptly by the Dr.Dr. Seema is charismatic and guides one through the whole eye testing process. Explaining what she was doing in the moment. It was very reassuring.The lady who took my measurements Meeka was amicable friendly and honest with the frames I tried on. She took her time and made conversation.Class A service with a smile and professionalism. I highly recommend for prompt, diligent and caring service.

Eyes on Second is amazing! Their space and staff are so inviting and kind - and their attention to detail is second (get it?) to none! I really appreciate the care with which they approach their practice and that they thoroughly explain everything they are doing throughout each visit. I used to live nearby their office but moved a few miles away, and still come back time after time because of their exceptional service. The team here is wonderful and I always feel very well cared for. This year I brought my partner as we are on the same insurance plan, and as a queer couple, they were thoughtful and immediately observant of our pronouns. Had two great appointments with Dr. Seema Amin, she was great, Id love to see her again in future, but it takes them eternity to replace my lenses, I was told that since theyll get my new lenses it would take them about two days to replace them, but its a 3rd week and each time I call, Im told to wait for several more days.

Surpassed my expectations! I cannot say enough how grateful I am for the preventative measures Dr. Amin is taking to ensure my eye sight is superb! She really cares about her patients (Im actually emotional as I type this up as you rarely find such providers these days).

I was a little wary when I saw how small the shop was, but it was a wonderful visit! Dr Cawog was very informative and efficient, and explained everything I needed to know, not to mention how kind she was. The staff was helpful and had my insurance information ready to go when I was looking at frames and helped me pick a pair that really fit my face. Obviously, they do try to upsell on the lenses, but they werent pushy when I said I couldnt afford it either.

I had a great experience at Eyes on Second. The location is a little tight, but the staff does a good job at ensuring that patients are sitting too close to one another. Everyone wears masks. I bought my first pair of glasses at Eyes on Second following an eye exam by Dr. Lina Cawog. Both, the eye exam and the support by the store associates in finding the right pair of glasses outstanding. In addition, Eyes on second has a very unique assortment of smaller brands that deliver quality and design far superior of you would find everywhere else. Highly recommended and very happy with the look and improved vision with my new Ahlem glasses.

My last optometrist had to leave the city so I did some research and found Eyes on Second. Dr. Cawog and the team were incredibly helpful and efficient! It is clear to me that they serve a lot of patients, but the quality of my service did not suffer one bit. Looking forward to making this my new go-to eye doc.
