A true treasure. I finally found a vintage Comme des Garcons jacket that I could afford in perfect condition. I’ll be back. Frank was fun to talk with. I love this shop.

Extremely rude personnel. I tried on a poncho I was unsure about and wanted a second look..followed me around with the hanger insisting I take it off so he could hang it up. Um..hello-I was trying it on! Then my dr calls me to schedule an appt while I happen to be in the store, so I put him on speaker to check my calendar, he runs over to me asking me to lower my phone bc this is “a business” mind you there was no one else in the store. When I told him this he said “well you’re disturbing ME” I asked him if he prefer I leave rather than shop in his store and he said “yes, please get out” so I did. Horrible experience and will never walk in here again. First and last time. Stay away!!

Lots of high end resaleSome never worn. 2 floors of mostly clothes, some shoes, few purses, not much jewelry.

RACIST TRASH the shop attendant wouldn’t even let me in because I’m a black male. She screamed through the door “we only have women’s clothes!!” After I told her “That’s fine, I’m a personal shopper” she told me they were closed. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced such obvious discrimination but I’m fine with taking my business and my clients elsewhere. Wish there was a lower rating than one star!

Jonathan is extremely helpful and pleasant. He showed me several items similar to what I was in search of, and I bought 2 at an incredible price. Both garments had barely been worn, if ever. I come here every time I’m in NYC and leave with awesome new auditions to my wardrobe!

This consignment store is phenomenal. Every time I’m in NY, I go and come out with an unique piece. The last 2 trips I have scored never been worn with tags, designer dresses at fantastic prices. Huge selection - worth going to check it out!

Upstairs I had a wonderful shopping experience with Carmela. She is pleasant, approachable and personable. It is because of her I purchased 4 pairs of high-end boots. I cant wait to shop there again. I hope their downstairs staff is as enjoyable.

I would give zero stars if I could. Very unfriendly staff. I’m sad that I wasn’t able to enjoy the store which is probably very cute.***Edit: Upon seeing the insulting and highly unprofessional response to my review below, I felt I should elaborate on my experience!When I opened the door to La Boutique, I was abruptly greeted not with a “hello how are you” or a similar phrase. I was immediately scolded for carrying a covered iced coffee with a straw and was met with an inappropriately heated demand that I set it on the counter. I had not even set foot in the store yet! I was so shocked by his tone that I awkwardly turned around and left without a word. The man screamed after me “no one wants your drink, just leave it on the counter”, and he laughed while he watched me go! I’ve absolutely never had a worse experience in the first 4 seconds of entering a business.I’m disappointed that his first response after seeing how he made a customer feel that day would be to insult them. I did not challenge him on the rule, which is common in many stores. I did not yell or create a scene that would disrupt other shoppers (though the place was deserted, shockingly). I just calmly left the situation. I hope that in the future this person might consider apologizing to customers who they make uncomfortable instead of continuing the abuse online. This is just an embarrassing display.

This consignment store has great clothes at wonderful prices. As one can imagine, the Upper East Side of Manhattan has a plethora of women who purchase beautiful pieces season to season. Yet, these women want to be au courant, and need their closets to be of the moment. Thus, La Boutique Resale inventory is the very best and almost brand new. Madison Avenue, Upper East Side,The Carlyle; this aint Kansas baby! Its worth the cab, Uber, subway trip uptown.

Easily the best consignment store on the upper east side. The store is beautiful: spacious and newly renovated and is full of designer items in excellent condition. Tons of Chanel, Marni, Missoni, Etro and Ferragamo. The staff is friendly and helpful. Not to be missed!
