Came in to fix my cracked screen. Amazing service! My phone looks good as new.

SIM card mount malfunctioned. I took it here based on my warranty options. They said the motherboard had to be replaced but it was covered by my manufacture warranty. A week later they received the part and fixed the phone. Four days later, the screen stopped working. I took it back in and they said it was due to a wire not being connected properly/short. Fixed it and gave it back. A month later the screen went dead again. I took it in... again. This time they told me the phone screen was cracked on the inside and it wasnt covered. There was no physical damage to the outside, no cracks in the screen. There was also a screen protector undamaged so this was very frustrating. I asked what my options were because I disagreed with the diagnosis. He told me to reach out to Google. I asked him if he had a number, he said I dont know, I can Google it.I went from having a SIM issue to, in less than 2 months later, not having a phone. I would avoid this place for any type of repairs. I still dont have a good idea of how this happens. If you are under a manufacture warranty, you have the ability to ship to the manufacture instead. It takes longer but GO THIS ROUTE***

I called this store more then 3 times in the last 4 days. wanted to have the Iphone XS max glass fixed for a trade in. To make sure they have the screen, on 2 occasionas I told them I need the phone to be fixed for a trade in. After driving there for more than 1 h. they informed me they can fix the back glass BUT without an Apple logo. Because of cooy righte etc...What a horrioble experience? What a waste of time....

Wow it took 2 month to have a simple estimate for fixing my computer. First my computer was place in a supposedly wrong status. I called them and they told my they will call me the next day. 2 weeks later I called them a little angry, and this time for hearing they didn’t have the right password to unlock my computer. What a team!

These people are great. Took my phone in to see if it could be saved after sitting in a wash machine of water for about 10 minutes. The very polite associate said they would do their best. Picked it up today with the news that the phone was not completely gone, but not 100% either. They had detected some corrosion, but there was a chance there is some use left. Got it home and charged and so far it is working normally. Surely there was damage so it could quit at any time, but I am grateful for whatever is left of it! I am very impressed by the efficiency and courtesy of this Naperville business! Highly recommend this establishment.

I got my PS Vita fixed here a few months back. It was fixed really nicely, though their supplier was a bit slow. I brought in my headphones as well, and a man who works there named Dave fixed them free of charge. I’d highly recommend bringing in your electronics to get fixed, they’re super helpful! Nothing but good things to say :-)

Terrible service. All time you must wait, they are super slowly guys.They changed screen on my phone and when I first time washed my phone under water next day I saw condensate under all cameras. When I came back to them, they said that they can only dehydrated phone and its not their problem that water went inside, but why with previous screen I havent any problem with water because my phone was water resistant and I regular washed it and made pictures in pool or lake. Really not professional guys and the worst service that I had👎

Ill first say I have had positive experiences before this. But this time I brought in my phone to replace a cracking screen protector. Had the new product with me and was all set to pay the standard install fee. Was told approx. 10 minutes to complete. About 2 hours later manager (Chandler) came out from the back and said that he had unintentionally broken the new product. I get it, accidents happen. I wasnt thrilled but he offered to order a new replacement product for me free of charge and said to come back in 2 days. I did so, and at the time he said product hadnt arrived. Took my number and said hed call within a couple more days. Literally almost a month later I get a call from the store. I wasnt about to let my phone screen remain unprotected for that long so in the meantime I bought my own replacement t protector and had Best Buy Geek Squad install it quickly and without issue. Staff is nice but this is not professional at all how my situation was handled.

I would like to share experience fixing broken screen of Samsung Galaxy A11 at this UBreakIFix location.Back in May my kid accidentally cracked his phones screen. My wife took it to Napervilles UBreakIFix location, got a quote for $80 and since the price was less then half of devices price decided to fix it. However, their service came with strange Samsung policy requiring to replace the battery. I wanna mention, the phone was less than a year old and the battery was in perfect working condition and did not need to be replaced. My wife did not mind to follow that policy and agreed. 3.5 months later our kid started complaining his phone started turning off by itself, while the battery meter shows 40-50% of charge. I watched that myself, to make sure it is not some kind of app messing up phones functionality I did a factory data reset, set up the phone again, charged it fully and gave it back to our son. Suddenly and hour later, after watching YouTube for some time and being at charge level 47% his phone shut off again. It was not shutting down correctly, but just cut off power like something inside disconnected the battery. Plugged it to charger - phone shows 4% charge level (47% to 4% in a minute!) After being on a charger (not fast charger) for 30 min it already showed 50% of charge. I myself have technical degree and understand this looks a lot like like battery deterioration. I charged the phone overnight, next morning took it back to UBreakIFix location.Gentleman at the counter took the phone (battery level around 95%), ran tests on it for 20 min or so, brought it back saying tests did not show batterys deterioration out of normal levels. Guys explanation why battery charge drops down so fast is because we run battery draining apps too much and the parts they put in when replacing screen were OEM Samsung parts. Apparently they dont know what Viber Messenger app is. So we walked out of the store and made a video call from my phone to malfunctioning phone, held the phones on this call for 20 minutes. My phones battery drained by 4%, troubled phones battery - by 25%. Same app, same usage. Came back to the store and asked to run the tests again. This time tests showed there is some kind of a problem with a charging port, not drawing charging current. At the same time, gentleman pointed to a little crack on the back on camera glass. We did not even notice it before since it does not affect picture taking, no visible lines on pictures taken. Gentleman pointed again to Samsung policy, that they are required to replace everything even when we do not need that replaced, and since that is a crack, it is not covered under warranty (which is understandable) and that will void the warranty on the battery they put in 3.5 months ago, which did not need to be replaced back then.So let me summarize. They fixed for us one thing - broken screen, but created another problem by replacing original battery that did not need replacement with poor quality battery, pointing to Samsung policy. Now they found a way to get out of warranty claim on replaced parts by pointing to another Samsung policy on replacing anything they think needs replacement, even if you disagree. That mean, instead of cleaning up their own mess, we have to pay for battery replacement and pay for replacement of stupid camera glass which we do not need to replace. That comes up to the cost of a new phone.My takeaway from this: if you ever crack the screen of your phone, dont bother spending your time and money on fixing your phone, they will find a way to screw you one way or another. And you will have to buy a new phone.If there is class action lawsuit going on against UBreakIFix - please let me know, I will join it.

I went here because my phone fell at work and my lcd shattered. The guy I met upon arrival was super nice and he processed my device in minutes. He was very clear about the process and I was very happy to have known that my device would be fixed. It did take a while to get the parts for my device but the wait wasnt an extensive one. They are very good about following up with me about my device and did not hesitate to call me about any and every detail which I absolutely. sadly I was informed that my mother board had water damage so my device is unable to be fixed but the amazing thing was that they were able to get my data through smart switch. The guy Ugo was so nice about it and I honestly never thought Id be able to get any of that data back. The other astonishing thing about it was that I wasnt even charged a thing. I truly appreciate you guys for everything, youve made me so happy with work you guys did. If I run into any trouble with another device I will most definitely coming here!If you need a device repaired this is the place to go. The price is great and youre guaranteed 100% customer satisfaction.

I took my samsung note 8 with charging issues this weekend and the tech at front desk was able to troubleshoot my issue then an there itself. It was a simple case of dust on my charging port that needs to cleaned and it worked. In the past I had similar issues and the other shops stated the phone needs full servicing and charge me a good amount.

I waited with another customer for 10 minutes before anybody even came to the front of the store, and then after yelling hello to get somebodys attention a guy finally came to help but was not very friendly. Definitely would not go back or get my phone fixed there. Get my cracked screen fixed they wanted to charge me half of what my phones value of was

Needed a new battery and was required to get a new screen since there was burning around the edges. I know its a samsung policy, but kind of ridiculous. Only suggestion would be to charge the phone while waiting for pickup. Phone battery was at 19% charged when picked up.

DO NOT GO HERE!I drove over an hour to get my screen repaired. They told me it would take about 2 hours, which is ok. So when 2 hours rolled around and I had NOT received a call yet, I decided to call them. That is when they tell me they did try to call me.... but they called the number of the phone they had in THERE possession. Which meant i obviously didn’t receive the call.And before I had left the shop early in the day to drop my phone off, I HAD given them a different number to contact when they were finished. But turns out that DAVE did NOT write this new number down and failed to acknowledge the fact that he did NOT do his job. Clearly this place does NOT care about its clientele. Ridiculous!!!!

Took S20 for back camera repair. Overall, acceptable experience. There were a couple problems with customer service, however. List of issues I experienced:1. After waiting nearly 3 weeks for a part they estimated would arrive in 1 week, I never received a call directing me to bring in the phone for repair. I called and inquired status and found out my part had already come in. Its Christmas season, so I understand about the longer than expected delivery time but I was promised contact when the part arrived and that didnt happen.2. I was told my phone would be ready at 3:30. I arrived then and was told to wait 10 minutes. 45 minutes later I was told they were having troubles with testing the phone. Waiting for a phone that never got fixed wasnt cool in a snowstorm, but on the plus side I assume they were ensuring their work was solid, which is. Heres the thing, dont have your employee tell two other customers their phones arent ready when promised because were having trouble with that guys phone while Im standing in the store. Maybe true, but it made me feel uncomfortable.In the end, I went back later that same evening and picked up my phone fully repaired. It was repaired right at a reasonable price, which lets face it, is really the most important thing. The process had flaws, but Im willing to chalk them up to a very busy time of year for these guys. Overall, they did a good job. Maybe they need a front desk person?? Just a thought.

I saw this place on google to get my 8 year old IPad fixed. I called got a quote for $130.00 and made my son save money so he could fixed it. He was not allowed to use it until he gather all the money so he could pay for it. I made him do this so he can understand that value of money and hard work, and so he could take care of his things. He used all his savings and worked very hard for over a month to get all the money. We went to this place last week on Tuesday March 30th. They told us 48 hours. Thursday came and no one called, so I called myself. Someway, somehow part did not work. I understood, and they told me Saturday they will get a new part. That day (Thursday) I only got upset because they didn’t call to let me know. Saturday comes, they never called (once again), so I called them. Part wasn’t there; this time UPS did not delivered the part (shocker). Monday comes, didn’t get the part, but they ordered a new part and was coming Tuesday. Never called again, so I called again on Tuesday. They fixed it, but guess what... technician broke another part lol. So another part was coming and it was going to be done yesterday. I called yesterday, and they didn’t get the part. I just finished calling right now. Guess what?! Part is not there. I told them to have it fixed by tomorrow if not just to give me the iPad. Now, retrospect, if I get my iPad it will be in worse condition since they broke it. I tried to see if they were an accredited business with the BBB and they are not. I really don’t know what to do.My heart breaks every time my son comes back from school to ask if the iPad is ready. When I tell him it’s not, he starts to cry a lot! Then he calls himself because he doesn’t believe me anymore.UPDATE*****After yesterday, everything changed. I am pleased to tell you that the manager and upper manager did something to fixed the IPad. I got a call and a text today that the iPad was ready. They apologized about the whole ordeal and they gave me an amazing discount because of everting I posted before (the story). Because of the rapid responsiveness and fixing the problem I feel like it is only right to update my review. Thank you for fixing the problem as promised.

So I was in need of a screen replacement for my Samsung S7. Ive had the phone for a few years and my screen had several cracks at the edges and a couple long cracks across it. So I looked for some reputable repair places and came across uBreakiFix. I was easily able to schedule an appointment online,and and they even called me a couple days later to confirm they had the parts in stock, nice! So brought it in this morning for a final once-over and Chandler let me know that at this point I may be better off just getting either a refurbished phone altogether, he even looked at some listings from other stores and found me a solid price for (basically) a new phone that would cost me a significant amount less than the reasonable price of $140-150 that just the screen replacement would have been alone.This really resonated with me, as he could have just taken my money for the repair and what else would I have known better until after the work was already done? Brought my phone on Sunday at 12. Screen completely busted and what appeared to be not turning on. Again just the screen. One of the guys repaired it in an hour and a half. Good as new! I walked around downtown while they did it and it was worth the time and wait. They did a great job and they were friendly.

This place is simply dishonest. I was told they would do same day screen repairs if you get there before 5pm, so I made arrangements to do so. I got there at 4:40 and was told they could NOT fix it that day. They said I would have needed to be there before 4:30. If I would have been told that then I would have been, but I was told 5pm. Sooo frustrating!But whatever...to add more frustration, Im told that the screen warranty I bought from them 14 months prior was only good for 12 months and has been discontinued. How convenient that nobody mentioned that it was only a 12 month warranty when I purchased it. The guy simply told me if I purchased the liquid screen upgrade then it would only cost me a $20 deductible if my screen got broke again. So now they wont honor it. When I push back on the owner about this Im told this all was clearly indicated on my receipt. What, the receipt I got when I picked up my phone... AFTER the screen protector was applied?! That receipt?! Too late then huh?They lie to make sales and wont honor what they tell you in person. Find a different place.

My screen cracked at the top right where the camera was and the two guys were not only helpful with my phone, but were very personable and friendly. I am very pleased with the service and it was done in less than 45 minutes! Definitely will refer people here and come here in the future.

They did a great job of thoroughly explaining damages and costs. Often, tech places like this do not have great people skills, just technological skills. uBreakiFix does a great job of both. They are extremely competent with what they are doing, but also do a great job of relaying information back to you in terms you can understand.

My phone charger was not fitting correctly in the port. My service provider could not fix the issue and recommended uBreakiFix. They cleaned the port and removed a small piece of plastic that was lodged in there in just a few minutes and at no cost. Great service!

I want to give these guys the benefit of the doubt. Had to have the screen on my computer replaced. They told me 3 to 5 business days. The guy called and said we replaced it but there is a pixel out. He said if I wanted to replace that one he could get it done in another 3 to 5 business days. Fine. Well that didnt happen. Three weeks later, with no follow up on their part, my computer was finally fixed. A month in total. The irritating thing was there was zero follow up on their end letting me know the second 3 to 5 days was not going to happen. I had to call there repeatedly to get any kind of answer....which there never was an answer other than they were waiting to hear back from the manufacturer. It is fixed as the screen works. From a cosmetic standpoint, there is a strip they need to re-adhere. And that is basically peeling right off.

I called them for help regarding my wet phone. Spoke with Derek and was very helpful. He asked me to bring it in to do a free assessment and for them to put it into a dehydrator for electronic equipment. He was very upfront about all the charges. I had my iPhone 5 repaired here and they were able to get the camera replaced in an hour. I did have a new issue with the phone after the repair, however uBreakiFix stood by their warranty and took care of that issue. Both the manager and assistant manger seemed like they really care about their customers and want you to leave happy. I appreciate the extra effort they put in. Id recommend anyone talking to them (Derek and Josh) first if things doing go smoothly with your repair there.

Great Service. My iPhone 7 was not working. I thought it needed a new charging port. They did a diagnostic, cleaned the charging port and it started working. They didnt charge me any money for that.

Convenient location and reasonably knowledgeable techs for phone and computer repair. Often busy, so you sometimes have to wait for service, but theres a lot going on in the neighborhood (including an Apple store across the street), so theres plenty to keep you occupied.Ive used them for two desktop PC repairs, and they solved both problems.

I payed a lot of money to get my iPhone fixed aswell as the camera glass fixed. Right after I got it back the touch screen would only work for a few minutes and then it wouldn’t sensor that I was touching it and would glitch out. I would have to press the power button to turn it off and on again to be able to use it. I am beyond angry

My experience with UBreakIFix was absolutely atrocious.I brought in my PS4 which was overheating each time I opened a game, and they said they could do a diagnostics check on it for free.The diagnostic check comes back with a report that the fan seems to be spinning up fine, but that it was rubbing against something. They suggest a deep clean and reinstallation of thermal paste for $50, which compared to the projected $120 for a fan replacement seemed good.They do the cleaning and keep the console for a few days longer than they guaranteed, and eventually give it back to me saying “It didn’t work, it needs a new fan” and I explained I couldn’t pay for it and I wanted my console back immediately, as you can’t expect me to pay $120 to a place that has some of the most incredulously repulsive service I’ve experienced in my entire life.I received my console and not only was it scratched up on every surface, all of the dust on every surface was still there. After a dust cleaning. AND any console was overheating worse. They broke it more.NOT ONLY THAT but a sticky, scratched up, terribly treated copy of The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring was in my PS4 instead of my copy of Destiny 2.I go back and demand my copy of the game and I’m told that they will look for it. 10 minutes pass until they return to tell me they sent it home with SOMEBODY ELSE.A WEEK later I am told they found my copy of the game, I quickly went there and explained my immense frustration with my entire business transaction with TheyBreakIfix and they simply said “Sorry, we can’t do anything about the damages to your device. But we won’t charge you for the cleaning and thermal paste.”UBreakIFix committed theft and property damage to me and my belongings. My copy of a game was taken illegally and entirely without my permission and my console was irrevocably damaged to a point where I don’t know if even a fan replacement will fix it.Thanks for nothing, I’ve already informed the entire IT department of North’s Central College (the college with the most people in town who would go to this trap) to advise any and all students against coming here if they value their property.I could’ve sued, but I decided to play nice.

If you have a phone with a cracked glass, take it to these guys. They are knowledgeable about nearly every kind of phone and can fix it extremely fast. I took a Samsung Galaxy 3 in on a busy afternoon and they said they could have it back the next day. I actually got a call later that evening that it was already done.Their prices and location are great and I cant say enough about the service level.

If I could give six stars, I would. Ryan helped me diagnose my phone which I took apart to replace the screen. The screen I bought was defect, but ubreakifix guys were kind enough to help me twice as a courtesy. Excellent customer service and just plain awesome people. Thank you!

They did what they said they would do. Their communication was excellent via email. The actual time the battery replacement was done, was within a few minutes of their quote. I would use them again.

Great experience here, the newest sprint update had ruined my phones LTE, so I was referred here by Samsung to get it sorted out. They were able to remove the new update so that I could use my phone again, overall great experience.

My iPhone camera cracked and I needed to get it fixed but couldnt afford to go to Apple. When I came to this place the first time, they said it would take about an hour to fix it and took my phone. I gave them my boyfriends phone number so we could be notified when my phone was done. *4 hours later* we still havent been texted, so I call and they tell me that they didnt have the part they needed so they would have to order it. I told them I would come pick it up and Id bring it back when the part was in. When I got there a half hour later, the lights were off and everyone was gone. It was 5 PM. The person on the phone couldve at least mentioned that they were closing soon, since I told him I was on my way. The next day I had to go back there again to pick it up. Today I brought it back and the camera is fixed, but they cracked my screen while fixing it so they gave me a new screen as well. I was okay with that but now the screen is acting up and the touch screen is barely working and my phone is typing random letters so Ill have to bring it back yet again. This place has been exhausting to work with.

These people are fabulous. I had dropped my new SamsungS8 and needed a back. The repair was cheaper than I expected. Quick too. They are fixing our broken port on the Galaxy Tab A for reasonable too.

Brought in 2 iPhones with shattered screens. They were very knowledgeable regarding the repairs I needed. They called me an hour later to let me know they found an additional issue and would be able to fix it if I would like. Both phones were done within 2 hours. Appreciate the prompt fix. When I picked up the phones they were perfect. Looked 100% brand new. Totally worth the money
