Just wanted to thank Paragon for helping me out today. I came in with a unicycle that had a flat... they dont work on unicycles, but they understood how badly I wanted to go on a group ride tonight -- and helped me out. Not saying you should bring your unicycle in here for work, but I am saying this is a great place to buy a bike, or have it worked on. I came here because when I rode MTBs this was my neighborhood bike shop. Skip the big box stores, and visit Paragon. Thanks again!

No attention to detail... I came here for a replacement tire tube and dropped off my bike to get it replaced while I ran a few errands. When it was done, I picked up my bike and didnt think about it again until the weekend when I wanted to go for a ride but my bike tire was flat. I inspected the tire and saw they put it on backwards, opposite of the direction arrow. Even worse, they pinced the tube during the install as the tube had a pinch flat, just a few days later. and I never got to ride it.. $20 down the drain. Take your bike somewhere where they pay attention to their work, its not worth going here for even simple tasks. Plenty of bike shops, choose a different one.

I recently bought a bike from here. The bike needed a few minor adjustments. The owner picked it up from my house, fixed what needed to be done, and dropped it back off at my house- free of charge.Great service. Highly recommend. Would buy again.

Now this place is where you go and great 5star customer service!!! Litterally the guy was by himself and he helped me out. Litterally saved and made my whole day. I plan to do all my business here now with the biking community. Place is clean and lots and lots of choices in here it a nice shop

Have patience and be kind to these guys. The owner works hard to ensure every repair is done safely and properly. DO NOT purchase solid rubber tubes learn from my mistake. Purchased tubes online spent four hours myself, failed, then asked Paragon to install them, they refused and explained that it takes 2 people three hours to put one in. They sold me tires and inner tubes best suited for my needs. I felt heard and understood in my conversations with the staff. Only bike shop I will go to again. Thanks againAndy.

Outstanding shop! The assistance, service and knowledge is everything I could ask for. I was a window shopper 2 years ago, infatuated with the idea of moving up from my 5 year old Specialized Sector Sport Triple, to a Bianchi Intenso. After being hit (badly) on the Sector last year, it was time to go disc. Ray did a great job of helping me decide between the 105 and Ultegra group set, as well as pedals, cleats and new shoes. For a 100 to 150 mile a week rider, who LOVES the climbs, the Intenso Ultegra Disc is an absolute joy to ride, even a year later! Every time Im out, somebody says something about it, or at least the brand. My dad may have ridden a Bob Jackson and my uncle a Stella, in the late 70s, but they both said I couldnt go wrong with a Bianchi. Ill say, you cant go wrong with Paragon! They wont recommend, or sell you anything you dont need. The service tech is friendly and talented. Thank you gentlemen. Cheers!

I have been going to Paragon for many years, before they moved to their current location, and have never been disappointed. I have bought bikes from Ray, had him service bikes, and have referred multiple friends. In all this time, I have never had less than a positive experience. I have and will continue to recommend Paragon without reservation.

After talking to several shops, I took my old racing bike to Ray at Paragon Cycles to install upgraded components. Everything but the headset was upgraded. I got my bike back yesterday and went for a long ride this morning. Paragon did an outstanding job installing the new components and setting up the bike. Everything performed flawlessly. They clearly know how to set up high performance bicycles and take the time to do a great job at a very reasonable price. Thanks, Ray!

I come it all the time to have basic swaps and stuff with tools I dont own. They are always very nice and professional usually doing the work while I wait or at the latest the next day if I dont need it quickly. Good service knowledge and support. I can recommend them.

I have been using Paragon Cycling for a few years and my experience with them has been consistent with all of the below five star reviews. (Ditto to below 5-Star reviews.) It has been my experience that the true test comes when things do not go as planned. Is the easy way chosen? Or, the right way chosen?Recently I had my 2002 Cannondale Jekyll 800 in for service—a bike that I loved! Sadly, due to an event that were neither in my control nor in Paragon’s the bike was rendered no longer usable while in their care.Paragon Cycling had an easy choice: give me the blue book value of the bike and call it done. To me, this was not a reasonable solution, as I wanted a bike not funds that would come nowhere near to replacement.Paragon Cycling made the hard choice: replace my bike with like kind. They replaced my bike with a band new 2016 Marin Rift Zone 5. This bike rides like a dream! Thanks Paragon Cycling for going the extra mile!!!

Ive been going to this shop for 9 years. The service is great. Rays knowledge about bikes, maintenance, fit, riding styles, and gear is solid. Ive found everything fairly priced. Turn around times for repairs and maintenance are as fast as Adventure or Mikes. this isnt a superstore, but there isnt anything Ive needed that he cant get in a reasonable lead time. Working with Ray on my different bikes over the years has been a great experience.

I bought my bike form Paragon about three years ago and have ridden it frequently with very little maintenance. Needless to say it was due! Two new Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires, new derailleur cable, a brake adjustment and three new tubes later it is one sweet ride again. Although there are two local bike shops closer to me than Paragon I choose to drive the extra miles because I know I will get first class service, quality parts and excellent workmanship from knowledgeable people. I prefer to do business with honest and reputable people such asRay (the owner), Jim and Travis. I had many questions that were answered with integrity and honesty by each of these individuals. Bottom line, I felt valued as a customer. I will be back and definitely before three years. Thanks guys!

I have used Paragon Cycling Shop many times for many things including service and products. I can say they exceeded my expectations every time. Their service is affordable and guaranteed which is a great benefit when something needs an adjustment done the road for some reason. Recently moved down to Gilbert but I still travel 25 minutes North for my bike maintenance. These guys are my friends and I like the atmosphere of the small shop community. Not to mention they assembled my sweet and super fast Kestrel and have taken care of it every step of the way. One of their mechanics, Jim, basically treats my bike like it is his own. Cant find that at the huge chain shops with huge amounts of traffic every day.These guys have been instrumental in part of my preparation for IronMan AZ, which I plan on winning. Without their help, this goal would not have been possible.

Finally a place that provides an extra large helmet for my huge cabeza!

I had an amazing experience! My poor Raleigh sat outside for several years and needed some help! I went to Paragon because I had a good experience talking to the owner about getting a bike for my daughter. Several days later I was back .We had an honest conversation about putting money into my Raleigh versus getting a new bike. I never thought the Raleigh would be fun to ride again. But he convinced me that putting money into the Raleigh would be the best choice. He was so right The Raleigh got all new cables and housing. They adjusted and lubed the derailures and brakes.They found the chain was too long so they fixed that. They also fix the wobble in the headset. I honestly couldn’t be happier.I took the Raleigh for a ride tonight and I was all smiles the whole time!

Super friendly dudes who are very helpful. The tools and merchandise are reasonably priced and they are always willing to give me pointers on maintaining my bike my self. One of the coolest things about the customer service is that they are not pretentious or condescending in the least. Great people.

Ray and his team have always been very helpful whether we are buying a new bike or an inner tube. They have donated their services to help sort out equipment used by challenged athletes who ride for the Arizona Heat team and always put in the extra effort to provide great service. They are a wondrful resource for the community.

Support this shop. Being a small business in this field is a pain in the ass and these folks do it very well! I was visiting family in the area and had a small task I needed help with. It was a menial task which wasnt going to make them any money to speak of. I was earnestly helped and given a very nominal charge. A bike shop in East Mesa must face serious challenges: catering to a little bit of every type of cyclist is difficult. Mountain, road, cruisers, hybrids, the endless specific accessories, etc. Its kind of a small business nightmare as far as inventory goes. Well this shop also has shoes and apparel!! Which is a hearty challenge for a shop this size. And it was nice to see his relative patience with the local street level/one step away from homeless folks who need basic help with their cobbled together rides. Thanks Paragon!!!

These guys are helpful and have great customer service, especially the owner. They are friendlier and have competitive pricing if not cheaper than other bike stores in the area. I pass up a bike store to get to Paragon and I feel that it is worth it.

Excellent local bike shop! I go here when I need a tune up or repairs or things like tubes and tires. Yes, you can get materials like that cheaper on the internet but you cannot get the many years of experience and knowledge that a LBS has. Their advice is always free so you should support them with purchases. Excellent customer service and they are always pleasant. Paragon is a definite asset to the local cycling community.

I believe what you are actually paying for is the awesome customer service and expertise that they offer for free. I have purchased two bikes from Paragon and the owner has taken the time to help me as a beginner in road biking. He has provided minor services for my bike at little or no cost. He stands behind his products and services and has a friendly staff. I purchase many items for my bike from him because of his honesty and great customer service. Went in to see about a basic commuter bike. Staff member who helped me seemed disinterested. I asked a few basic questions and got short, uninformative replies before finally giving up. Glad others have enjoyed it, but that wasnt my experience at all. Wanted to support a local shop but that was a huge waste of time. I will just order from an online shop.

Great for basic bicycles and mountain bikes. Got some pedals put on and aired up. Didnt even charge ANYTHING! Tipped the bro 5 bucks. I think they are a certified Bianchi dealer too. I ride argon but the took great care of my bike. I suggest organizing the clutter and incorporating more roady and triathlon culture

These guys care about taking care of you after the sale. i have shopped here several times. the last time I stopped in they had sold me a tube for my bike. However after I had got home the tube was for a 27.5 not a 29er. A few days later when i returned to talk to the shop owner he went above and beyond taking care of me and getting me the right product.thanks again and I will only shop here and cant wait to get a Marin full sus from you guys.

Kept my wifes bike for over 4 momths just to replace tire and then charged 80.00 instead of the 40.00 that was quoted. Bike was only 100.00 new. Very rude people. This is my 1st bad Google review ever for any company. Thats how bad they are.

I first called this place and asked for pricing on a front wheel on a Schwinn and was told $50 bucks. I said ok. I go to the store and walk my bike in and am greeted by a tattooed up guy that was arrogant. I told him my bike was damaged and needed a new front wheel and the rear wheel needed to be trued. He tells me its, $55 for the front wheel not the $50 I was quoted on the phone. Then I wanted him to look over the bike to see if there were any other issues so I would know. I had to insist as he didnt seem to really want to do it. He looked it over and said, yeah, $55 for the front wheel, $10 to true the rear, plus tax. I said, cool do it. That was on a Friday and he said he would have the wheel in on Monday and have it fixed no later than Tuesday and he would call me on Tuesday when it was done. Tuesday comes and no call, Wednesday comes and no call, thurs and no call, so I called them and asked. He said, oh, Im still waiting on the rim. Then I get a call late Thursday saying the bike is done... Whatever.So, I go to the shop and the guy tells me its $87 instead of $65-$70 quoted. He claimed, oh, well we got you a better rim (which I never asked for) and, oh, the rear rim needed more truing than I thought even though I made him look at the bike to begin with so he would know what the problems were.Then, I bring the bike home and after being over charged the bars are miss-aligned from the front wheel. I mean this shop did the absolute minimum and charged me more for it. That is horrible customer service. It stinks of greed and only wanting your money.I realize this is a fairly insignificant amount of money but I dont being gouged by disingenuous people!It was an unfriendly bad vibe environment in this store and I was outright overcharged. STAY AWAY! I WOULD NOT RECOMEND!

Went there yesterday and bought a set of cheap Chinese street tires for my mountain bike. Come to find out i can get em off the internet for $40-$20 cheaper! What a rip off! I wouldnt ever buy anything from that store ever again! I should have looked on the net before buying them. I was charged $29 for 26 selecta tires each. Other bike stores in the area can get em for me for $15 each. This is the reason people dread going to LBS!

I have never been to Paragon, but I am moving to Mesa soon, and I will be looking for a reliable bike when I get settled. Paragon will be the first place I will visit. Why? Not only because of all the great respect for the place shown by other customers, but also by all the owners responses. In particular I have never before heard an owner of any business say, I refuse to make excuses for shoddy service, as Ray told a dissatisfied customer.

Stopped here twice for parts. Older employee did not want to be bothered with me. Will not go back.

Meh... Unless you are really really into cycling this location will not willingly help you as a recreational user.
