Headrush--both locations---has been my favorite coffee place in the KC Area since I was introduced back in 2016. The staff is always friendly, the owner incredibly hospitable, and the coffee is divine.Moreover, Headrush has led KC by example during the pandemic. They were one of the last places to open their lobby, and continue to support their staff and refuse to let the daily staffers take the brunt of supply chain issues by demanding complaints and concerns come directly to the window, not to the variates in the window.Im proud to be a Headrush customer. As a former barista, Im very impressed by ownership standing by their staff as tacky signage pops up of no one wanting to work. Headrush doesnt complain, they wake up and serve coffee the best they can and are brave enou to ask their customers to record basic human decency. I love it.

Good cup of coffee. The only change I would make is slightly less milk and more ice with the iced drinks. But for a small batch in-house roasting coffee hut it is awesome coffee.

Cute place! Aesthetic is nice. However I did ask for my drink iced❄️ and they gave me hot🔥 but like not a big deal lol. It tasted good. The packaging of their coffee beans isn’t that cute either haha. ☕️

I love this coffee so much, I go every Sunday with my baby boy. The espresso is so rich and full of flavor that it is actually ruining other coffee shops for me (which sucks because I do not work near a Headrush). I dont think I even realized how much I could like a specific coffeehouse so much before I revisited this place. Thank you for the time you take to make your coffee so tasty!

I like the place. Ive been there years ago and started going again. They have a great London Fog Tea that I can get with Oat Milk instead of dairy. I always like having that option. Even better than that are the people that work there. Theres very little chance that you wont enjoy your visit

Mmmm, fresh roasted coffee beans that make the same delicious cup of Guatemala every time! Headrush keeps me supplied with the best of beans, lots of lattes and certainly delivers on their product. What keeps me coming back beyond just the excellent beans and caffeine...are the people. Family-owned, and you can see and feel their touch. I watched today as the owner hand delivered a bag of coffee beans to my front door, note inside. Glitch in the order, no problem. To go to those lengths to make the situation right is a testament to the quality coffee, tea, and service Headrush provides. Im honored to be a loyal customer, and grateful to be part of their Headrush family. Extra shot on the double shots - forever ;)

Literally the best coffee in the northland, Eric is the Yoda of coffee. Theres a whole wall of loose leaf tea and they air roast their coffee beans so no burnt taste. Worth stopping by for the smell alone! Then they have unbelievably delicious curated drinks like the Rosemary Orange shaken espresso if you want to mix it up. My personal favorite favorite is an iced or hot latee with half coconut- half oatmilk... you wont be sorry. Yum!!Some food options, bars, scones and a couple of breads and cookies.

Headrush is easily our favorite local coffee shop. The coffee and teas are superb and Erics staff at both locations are top notch. We love their creative seasonal specials and buy fresh roasted beans for home brewing!

These wonderful people make amazing coffee right in Gladstone. I stumbled on them ages ago and now I try to stop in at least once a month when I pass by. Their coffee is made with intention and you can tell. Furthermore, their seasonal specials are to die for. I also fully appreciate that they have lavender on their menu because its one of my favorite flavors.

I dont go into coffee shops often, but went with my niece. I loved the menu as it was easy to read and understand (very handy if you love coffee but arent an expert!) the coffee was fantastic and they have a very cozy little area to drink coffee inside. I also loved that the coffees looked beautiful before we enjoyed them!

Today was my first time ever going to headrush! The man who took my order, and helped me at the window was AMAZING. I’m a precious barista myself and I know how hard this job can be, so I wanted to take some time out of my day to post a review of this awesome place. Great quality coffee and GREAT people!

This place is great! Fresh delicious coffee everytime! The seasonal flavors are definitely worth a try. So much variety! Im not big on sugar so I always order my drinks half sweet and its perfect. I love how you can see the beans being freshly roasted from the drive thru, looks like something out of Willie Wonkas chocolate factory😉 so fun!

The Sunset Rush is a unique and flavorful latte - the best! A bright hint of orange compliments the rich chocolatey goodness.

The place has great coffee, The lines arent ever too long and the actual wait for your coffee isnt bad. My one problem is very small but still, the intercom when you drive up to order is so extremely loud. It sounds like they boosted the volume as loud as they can. I could probably order with my window closed.

Would be 4 or more except the young lady at the drive thru has been a not too friendly (bordering on rude) the few couple of times.

Came here for the bubble/boba tea and was not disappointed. The boba is chewy and fresh, and the flavor is wonderful. The woman at the drive thru was also extremely nice and knowledgeable. I will definitely be coming back in the future to try different flavors.

They totally messed up my order i ordered a chocolate rush and it tasted like straight cinnamon.

Attentive, efficient, and pretty workers make a fresh roasted, fragrant cup of various selections at a reasonable price. Less sugary pastries are not available, except for fruit.

Excellent service tonight. Tried a tea latte with Earl Grey tea, steamed milk and lavender syrup. Nothing Id ever try usually and it was delicious! It has its own parking lot, accessible parking and restrooms. Indoor seating and lots of patio seating. Includes a drive thru.

This was my first time coming to this place. The people were very friendly. The place looked comfortable and nice. I ordered the Vanilla Rush beverage here, and it tasted okay but the beans were a little over roasted for my taste buds and kind of bitter. I hope to be back sometime, and I might get the Chocolate or Berry Nutty rush coffee next time I come here. However, four dollars for an 8-ounce cup is a little bit expensive.

This is a lovely local place. They have 2 locations; the original location in Gladstone, which Ive been coming to forever, and a newer one in Briarcliff, which has a great outdoor space. Both locations have friendly staff and great coffee. I love the lavender matcha latté.

Love the unique menu. Be wary though, in the morning they are severely under staffed so a pass through the drive thru could take up to 15m

Headrush is the absolute best coffee roaster! Every cup, every treat, every bean has been delightful! My favorite: Honey Lavender Latte with coconut milk (oat milk is also a good choice).

We were visiting from out of town and stopped here for an afternoon. The coffee is amazing and very good quality. The atmosphere is good, it is a small place but super friendly owner and barista.

Great friendly atmosphere and super polite & their lavender latte was quite interesting! The latte kinda spilled everywhere so definitely be careful with the plastic cups &grab some napkins in case. Parking is real limited so you might want to park next door &walk over.

Id give this coffee and tea house TEN stars if I could!!! Just amazingly wonderful staff and owners. Coffee and tea are like none other and the espresso is done of the best Ive ever had; including some in Italy. It has such a unique flavor but still has everything you expect from espresso. ❤❤❤

For being a small coffee place there were a lot of people there in the middle of the day. Couldnt find any parking at all in their lot so had to park in the dead end Street between them and Sonic. Didnt have a 2% milk option, only whole or skim. I got the honey something or another... It was good. Definitely recommend!

Great little spot. They have their own special recipes, but the make all the traditional drinks you might find at a mainstream coffee shop.They air roast all their own beans and even sell you coffee beans that theyll have air roasted on the spot. Great selection of beans with lots of organic and organic/fair trade options.They even have a little drive through and a punch card. Im definitely going back.

The coffee is amazing. The only thing I had an issues with on multiple occasions is the drive through. Had to wait in front of the speaker for over two minutes with no assistance. When I pull forward to the window to see if anyone could help me. The person working would not see me or hear me honking the horn a couple of times before eventually getting frustrated and leaving. Please be more attentive

This is my favorite coffee spot in the Northland. LOVE love love the Spicy Rush. My only complain is that it only came in a 16 oz. I would ask for a 20oz and a few times was told no. After talking with the owner one time, Ive never had an issue since! Therefore - 5 STARS

Amazing coffee and always a polite staff, along with the owner being one of the coolest guys out there. Love the atmosphere and you quite literally feel welcomed. I always come back to play on the ukulele or just to share a coffee with some friends after college.

Forget about Starbucks, support this independent local coffee and tea house. Experience the uncompromised Italian style espresso made with Italian made manual espresso machine La Marzocco. It is cozy and family friendly with very nice people.

Great place to go for a coffee or tea drink, family owned business. There is a nice area to sit indoors and drink your coffee or eat some of their pastries. They have some unique drinks, the Caramel Rush is a great one to try. Not sure how much espresso was in the small drink I got, but it lived up to the name of the drink and the name of the business (plenty of caffeine in there!). They have an outdoor seating area that is a fun place to sit on a nice day. The drive through is great for those days when you dont want to get out of the car or are in a hurry. They have a large selection of green coffee beans and their own roaster right on premises if you are the type who likes to have very fresh roasted coffee to take home. Worth the stop if you are on North Oak in Gladstone!

Was looking for a place that sold bubble tea, so excited when I found one so close. Unfortunately they weren’t selling it the day I came in, but their stuff was incredibly helpful in helping me find something equally as delicious. Will definitely be back for that bubble tea tho. Also, really cool atmosphere. Might do hw here.

Delicious coffee and the best, most helpful staff. Their fall drinks were so yummy, the pumpkin spice latte and the ginger latte had an addictive taste and best part was it wasn’t overly sweet so I could really enjoy the coffee. Can’t wait to go back

Wow one of the best in the northlands area. The Spicy Mayan or whatever it is called is delicious. Its a mocha latte with a kick. The rest of their offerings are fantastic as well. Roasting their own beans in house is an added bonus. Better than hitting Starbucks and cheaper. For sure worth the check out.

GREAT, BUT NOISY.This is a great place for coffee. Friendly staff, charming decor and some of the best coffee anywhere. My only complaint is the noise level. Its a cozy (smallish) place that is all hard surfaces. Prep area and three or four people talking and it becomes a loud din. I hope they fix that. If so, its a 10. If not, go anyway.

This is my absolute FAVORITE coffee spot of ALL of the places I have lived/visited! I am in love with the Spicy Rush, as well as both Headrush locations. I hold many business and non-profit meetings, and I can get so much work done in the cozy setting they have created!

I felt like I was ignored when I walked into the door. It took them forever to even take my order. Then they told me that they would shout out my order when it was ready. I heard nothing, but noticed that a man brought what looked to be my exact order to his wife, so I walked up by the counter and they tried to give me the womens actual order. I tell them that wasnt mine and had to retell them what I had ordered. Seems like they need a better system in order. I dont think I will ever be coming back. Its too small of a place and gnats bothered me the whole time. The scone I ordered was also not good and coffee was subpare.

Got the Chocolate Rush (a mocha drink with extra chocolate and shavings on top) and it was the smoothest, tastiest mocha Ive had in years. Absolutely delicious! Ill be going back there again really soon. The place seems really small at first glance, but theres a cute little outdoor seating area and an indoor seating area as well. The place is so homey and relaxed. I cant believe I hadnt found this place before!

Dropped by and picked up some Papa New Guinea - fun watching them roast if for you - 6 minutes later you have freshly roasted coffee!This is my work stash, so I had them grind it for french press....the smell was intoxicating, so I brewed up a small batch when I got back to work. Absolutely fantastic cup of coffee! Cant wait to try the other varieties they offer.

I love this place! Ive been going here regularly for years. The staff is always friendly, the vibe works for hanging out or studying, and they always have books and magazines to flip through. On this last trip the barista made some lovely latte art with almond milk for my Chocolate Rush, which is awesome & much more difficult than with dairy milk. (They dont have oat milk yet though, just soy and almond.) Theyre locally owned with one other location in Briarcliff, Id 100% recommend stopping by either one.
