I enjoyed my experience with Poinsett Bride from day one! I walked into the shop on my first day of trying on dresses and was immediately greeted with excitement and expertise by everyone. I tried on the type I dress I always thought Id wanted and was immediately thrown off by how I did not like the style. Olivia was so helpful in finding me something that I never imagined Id wear, but ended up loving!! She truly helped me to feel confident and beautiful! She helped find the perfect accessories that went along with my wedding venue and theme. My dress came in quickly and the alterations were great. Each time we were greeted by everyone who always remembered my little wedding details and were excited to hear about my planning process. Even on the last fitting when something was wrong, they solved the issue quickly and made sure that everything with my dress was exceptional for my wedding day. My mom also got her dress from here and they worked with her through several fittings to make sure everything was perfect!

I had the BEST bridal experience at the Poinsett Bride! Megan was an absolute peach! Every employee was so personable and really wanted to make the experience fun and welcoming. They really listen to what you want and what youre looking for. Cant fit into every sample dress they have? No worries there! They do anything and everything they can to get a dress on you, even if its pinned on top of another dress that you are actually wearing.I have had two of my fittings already and I have yet to encounter a negative experience. Customer service is supreme and it is such a fun environment! I was there for one of my fittings for almost 3 hours, but it definitely did not feel that long! I honestly just cant say enough good things about this place.10 out of 10 would recommend, ladies!

At Poinsett Bride, my daughter found the most beautiful veil to go with her wedding dress. Vikki must have pulled out every veil they had in stock before we found exactly what my daughter was looking for. She was very patient and helpful. I also found the mother-of-the-bride dress here. They were great to work with in altering the dress and making recommendations. Would definitely recommend to other brides and their families.

LOVED IT! This shop has hands down the best selection of dresses. I had a hard time even narrowing down the style I wanted because everything looked so good (why can’t all clothes look that good on me?). I can’t say enough good things about my experience at The Poinsett Bride. Katherine was my consultant for my appointment. She took the time to really listen and get a feel for what I wanted. Throughout my experience, she was very personable and attentive. I eventually was torn between two different dresses that had features I liked on both. Katherine listened to what I liked about both and came out with the perfect dress! Vikki was also extremely helpful and both made the experience very comfortable and exciting. I purchased my gown in Cincinnati, OH but live in Greenville. My stylist in Ohio knew I had concerns about finding a reputable seamstress once my dress arrived in SC. She reached out to Olivia at Poinsett Bride and they did ALL THE LEGWORK FOR ME! Within 1 day of purchasing my gown, Olivia referred me to Linette (who owns a traveling business called Behind the Seams). Linette has been simply fantastic to work with, very accommodating, understands and listens to my wants, and her craftsmanship truly speaks for itself. Her 40+ years experience absolutely shines. I could not be happier with Linette and highly recommend her as a seamstress!

Out of all the shops I visited this was the best experience I had! (Both times I visited!) Olivia was absolutely perfect helping me find what I wanted and listening to me about concerns !!

This was my second bridal shop experience and Kara was so great! It was much better than my last experience at another shop. I showed her some photo inspiration and she asked my budget and we browsed together. She picked out a handful and the first one I tried on I already loved on my bodytype. She asked me questions to try and narrow down my style and comfort. I think the 4th dress ended up being my dress! Even when I said “I think my mom and sister liked...” and she said “but what do YOU like?” Ha! She was great. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. They had wonderful choices that were definitely in my budget. Highly recommend!

My experience was amazing all the way around at Poinsett! The staff were so sweet and patient with me, I am so indecisive and they never pressured me into buying my dream dress. This was the first place I looked and I actually bought a dress from somewhere else and went back here to get this one. They kept all my information months later and I was able to get the dress in time and altered for my wedding! The team, especially Olivia, made sure the dress fit me comfortably and I looked my best for my day of. During the fitting she made sure I was comfortable and I got all my needs met. I got married in 2018 and thought today of how I should review Poinsett Bride for their kindness to me. I got my dress from Carolina Bride and Groom and had an absolutely horrible experience with them. The owner was dishonest about when the dress would arrive, and though we expressed concern months in advance, she would neither help us in any way nor express even the slightest sympathy. I was in a situation where I would receive my dress just two weeks before my wedding, and would have insufficient time to do the major alterations I had been planning. Two weeks is universally known as very little time to do even minor alterations on a wedding dress.Anyway, Poinsett Bride agreed to help rush my alterations even though they didn’t sell me the dress. They also did an excellent job on the alterations. I wish I had gone with them for the whole process. It would absolutely have made the experience of getting married much sweeter and less stressful. I am extremely thankful for their willingness to help me. They certainly did not owe it to me to clean up another shop’s mess.

I ordered my dress from the Poinsett Bride in the March 2018 for my wedding in April 2019. While still in Greenville, I purchased my veil and reception belt from them and had a custom piece made for my ceremony. Everything turned out beautiful! I moved away from the Greenville area after I had ordered my dress and they shipped it to me once it arrived to their shop. The dress was ordered WAY too big for me, but I wasnt worried because a good tailor could take it in. When it was time to have it tailored, I took it to a local shop that was recommended to me. They said that I couldnt have it taken in all the way necessary because the construction of the dress. Long story, short - that tailor took it in too much in one place and not enough in another. I had a dress that didnt fit (the week before my portraits, no less). I called the Poinsett Bride upset because they ordered my dress too big. Olivia was wonderful! She was calm, comforting and completely understood why I was upset. She utilized the Poinsett Brides collective network and found me a local tailor that tailored the rest of my dress beautifully. If it wasnt for her, I dont know if my dress would have worked on my wedding day. Thank you, Olivia, for your patience, kindness, and professionalism in helping this bride have a wedding dress that fit!

Olivia was a phenomenal bridal specialist. She was very attentive to my wants and needs and took every thing I liked or didnt like about a dress and found me the perfect one that is uniquely me. Review written before fitting and wedding:So far I have had mostly positive experiences with the staff both in person and on the phone. They were able to fix an issue with ordering me a dress that was too big for me. I particularly LOVE working with Olivia and Dorian. Both are personable and kind. Olivia can make you feel like everything is going to be okay, even in the year 2020. When making your first appointment, ask to have Olivia with you! If my fitting and veil alterations goes well, I’ll delete this post and update to five stars.

I picked up my dress today for my wedding on Sunday. I have loved my experience working with TPB. Olivia has been my main consultant throughout the process and I couldn’t have asked for anyone better. She, from the moment I met her, listened to me and the things I wanted. She focused on me, made me feel confident. I had things added to my dress and the alterations were wonderful. I would definitely recommend the business.

This store is amazing. I had been dress shopping four times, tried countless dresses and was so nervous I would never find the one. It only took three dresses at The Poinsett Bride and I was in the gown of my dreams!! Olivia Medley was so helpful, patient, and truly excited for me. Vikki and her team at The Poinsett Bride were absolutely fantastic. This isnt your normal mass-bridal gown store like Davids Bridal, thank God! Heres the story...Someone at my venue told me about this place and upon hearing that it was s like a small boutique in downtown Greenville my first thought was, theyll be snooty and too expensive. But that wasnt my experience at all. When I first visited I really didnt know what I was looking for, and the shop appeared really small so I didnt think I would find anything. What was great was the personal attention I received. After picking out a few dresses, the young girl who was helping me just started bringing different options that she thought I would like. When i found one that I loved, I literally stood there swirling the skirt and looking on the mirror for about 30 minutes lol. Unlike my visit to Davids Bridal where there were about 10 brides at once, some trying the same dress as me, and employees who were hard to keep track of because they were helping so many other people at once, and then rushing me out so they could help more people... Poinsett was a calmer environment where they were focused on me and where All the employees made you feel like you were the most beautiful bride ever! The shop is adorable and each bride has their own stand in front of mirrors where you truly feel its all about you. The owner Vikki was really great too and since my wedding was under 3 months away she offered to sell me the dress I loved at a discount right off the floor instead of waiting for one to come. Afraid that I might find a cheaper dress somewhere else, I left and went to Davids Bridal and bought a dress for quite a bit less $ but felt remorse every day until I returned that dress and went back to Poinsett lol.Upon returning they let me try my favorite dress back on and stand there another half hour admiring it before I finally agreed to buy it. They were so great, never rushing me, helping me pick belts and jewelry that would coordinate, and bringing me bottled water so I wouldnt pass out haha. Her seamstresses also did a fantastic job although two of the loops they attached to hold my train up at the reception broke less than an hour in so I was stepping on my dress most of the reception :-( Other than that the only thing I wasnt overly thrilled with was that they have a zero exception return policy. I had purchased a necklace and earrings from the shop on one of my visits, but before picking up my dress I found a set that I liked better somewhere else. I understand their return policy because people could wear items to their wedding then return them, but I hadnt even picked up my dress yet from alterations so its safe to say I hadnt had my wedding yet and hadnt worn them, but they still had a no exceptions return policy. I guess with all the personal attention and service I received I felt that they couldve given me a credit towards my alterations or something. But in the overall scheme of things the owner Vikki and her staff helped make my wedding experience really great, and they helped me pick the perfect dress!

Im not local to the shop, but they have been amazing every step of the way to help coordinate fittings, ordering, etc. even with me being far away. Theyve been extremely kind and accommodating. I purchased my wedding dress from Poinsett and my experience was somewhat of a rollercoaster. Finding my dream dress was a wonderful experience and we were left extremely happy with the lady who helped us. In fact, I was bragging to all of my friends at how easy and painless the experience was. So I was sorely disappointed in how the rest of the process went. There was little communication to me once we purchased the dress. My mom and I were told to come back in June to try the dress on and when we did, we all quickly realized the straps needed to be tightened up.When we left that day, we were under the impression that, come September, we would be able to come in and try the dress on and alterations would have been made. Instead, we came in and nothing had been done. A new lady greeted me and my mother and spoke very condescendingly to us saying that I was never fitted and they need at least 2 months for alterations to a dress and my wedding was in less than a month. After that instance, we went in 3 or 4 more times before the straps were actually fixed. I remember leaving one time crying because the lady was so rude to us and made me feel like an idiot. When we finally went to go pick up the dress with all of its alterations (3 days before the wedding), there were shoe prints all over the bottom of the dress. I have no idea where they came from but I wish they would have bothered to clean it before we came to pick up the dress rather than having us have to come back to pick it up later in the day. If I can give a bride any advice, I would say absolutely shop with Poinsett Bride just do not have them do your alterations. We were sorely disappointed and it was the biggest hiccup we experienced in the entirety of planning the wedding.

As the mother of the groom and a mother of only boys, I found myself pretty nervous about getting a dress for the wedding. My sweet DIL to be invited me to come to with her and her mother to try on her wedding dress. She found an amazing dress! After she said yes to the dress, I did a little looking. At that point, I honestly felt a little overwhelmed.Soon after I made the appointment to come back with my DIL. The staff at Poinsett put me right to ease and before I knew it, I was having fun feeling beautiful! My sweet sales girl chose a dress for me that was the perfect color Id requested. It didnt look that special on the hanger, but wow...it was so perfect! I wont even have to have it altered, except the hem. Thank you for making this apprehensive mom feel special and like Im ready for the big day!

Let me start by saying that wedding dress shopping was at the BOTTOM of my list. I had a lot of anxiety around it and did not want to do it AT ALL, not even a little. I also hate wedding dresses, so I was worried that whoever had to help me would get frustrated quickly. My best friend (maid of honor) forced me to call The Poinsett Bride on Wednesday. I called, and they got me in that afternoon. I made my appointment with Olivia, and she made me feel super comfortable. I also got to meet Vicki, the owner, and she was awesome too. They put a veil on my head, a hair piece, and gave me a bouquet of flowers so I could see the whole picture. With their help, I found a dress I absolutely loved and BOUGHT IT! They poured glasses of champagne and we all toasted to me overcoming my fear and getting a dress! They made it such a personal, fun, amazing experience. I could not recommend The Poinsett Bride more!

This was the very first wedding dress boutique that I’ve been to and where I ultimately purchased my dress back in August. My dress came in last week and I went to try it on Friday! I was very pleased with all 3 of my experiences at the Poinsett Bride. First, when I came into the shop with 2 bridesmaids just to look. They had a great variety of dresses and were great at pulling for me. I became torn between 3 very different dresses. The 2nd experience when I scheduled an appointment to try on just those 3 dresses again- they were very patient with me despite me going back and forth so much. I finally said yes to the dress and appreciated how they let us celebrate together. The last thing that really impressed me was how when I returned to get my dress 2 weeks ago (due to quarantine and social distancing none of my bridal party was able to come with me to see it) and the staff still hyped me up and made me feel beautiful and took many pictures for me!

The Poinsett Bride gave me the perfect wedding dress shopping experience. Their staff is amazing and will give will help you look like a princess on your big day. They work with you to show you options of different accessories including the perfect veil.I definitely put there alterations to the test because I was an out of town bride and needed my dress completely altered in one week. They worked with me to fit in the alteration appointments before my bridal shoot at the end of the week. It was not an easy task because she had to take 6 inches off my dress while keeping the beautiful structure. She did a wonderful job and it fit perfectly.

Throughout the entire try-on process Alissa was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Her skill set as a stylist and knowledge of the gowns in the salon was amazing. We went to this shop expecting my daughter to try on wedding dresses, and hone in on just the right style.. we bought a dress! We were treated with patience, respect, joy, and just like family. Although its a small place, the selection and knowledge was fantastic, just what it should be for my beautiful daughter. Thanks all of you at Poinsett!

I purchased my dress in my hometown but wanted to get it altered here in town. The Poinsett Bride was so kind and accommodating! They made the process of having my dress altered so easy. They are truly the best! My dress was a completely sheer beaded back and bodice so I was nervous about having it altered. The dress fit like it was made for me and you could not see a single stitch that had been changed or touched. They are truly artists in what they do. If you need your dress altered, dont trust it to anyone else! Thank you ladies for making my dream dress perfect!

We dropped in on a whim, and the staff was super nice. Unfortunately, the gowns all seemed to be very traditional in design, and we were looking for something a little more contemporary. Maybe if we had an appointment, they mightve been able to show us something more to my daughters taste. Wed be willing to give them another try.

Friendly staff and always willing to answer questions. My mother was able to get an idea of pricing without having to bring the dress by. We chose to go to Poinsett Bride because they were willing to see us further out than a month for my fitting and gave us pricing information over the phone. The only draw back is parking but I can over look that because of how nice they are.

I purchased my wedding dress from another city, but wasnt able to travel back and forth for alterations. I am so thankful that I found Paula at Poinsett Bride because I dont think anyone else could have done what she did for my wedding dress. She ended up taking it home with her, taking it apart, and putting it back together to get it to fit perfectly. She is a magical and talented lady! I will definitely continue to visit the Poinsett Bride for any special alterations I may need in the future.Poinsett Brides evening & cocktail dress selection was also fantastic! I took my mother and my mother in law to look for their dresses for the wedding and they both found something they loved. My mother also found a cocktail dress for the rehearsal dinner.

This place is a dream! I came in to try on wedding dresses, and I couldnt be happier with the service I received. The store is beautifully lit, and the atmosphere is intimate and warm. They have an excellent selection of dresses in a wide variety of styles and prices. My consultants Ashley and Lauren (I went in twice) were wonderful in helping me pick gowns, showing me and my mother and sister around, and helping me dress. They really make you feel important and special.I purchased my dress from here, and I have full confidence in their service. I would recommend this place to anyone!

I totally recommend Poinsett Bride to any bride looking for a dress or needing one altered. They have a gorgeous selection of bridal, bridesmaids, and mother of the bride/groom dresses. I bought my dress at another store and they closed soon afterwards so I couldnt find anyone who would alter it. I went to Poinsett and Paula made it fit perfectly! My dress was very expensive so I was a little nervous at first but she totally exceeded my expectations! My dress fit perfectly and looked like it was made for me! She also helped me and my mom pick the perfect accessories from their gorgeous selection of jewelry. I got so many compliments on my accessories on my wedding day! I will definitely recommend Paula to all my engaged friends in the future! *I forgot to mention that I came to Paula less than a month before my wedding and she was able to do all alterations quickly and perfectly! I called one afternoon because I wanted to try on dresses by a specific designer. They had an opening and I arrived ten minutes later, was greeted by the lady I spoke to on the phone and she pulled all the dresses they had by the designer I liked. They took pictures for me since I was alone but wanted​to show my Mom, and were so kind the whole time!! They nrve pressured me and the entire store is beautiful and it was a lovely experience.

I kept my wedding dress from a previous engagement and went in hoping to get some ideas of how to create it into something new. Paula completely took my breath away. She 100% was able captivate my vision in her design. The price was suitable to how incredible her work was. I brought in multiple people for each of my fittings, and the service was great each time.

I absolutely LOVE Maggie and Paula and everyone at Poinsett Bride. I know there are reviews on here that say they are blunt and unkind, but that is NOT true in the slightest. They genuinely have ONE GOAL: make sure you look beautiful in the dress you are going to purchase. They are honest about how a dress looks on you (as they should be!!!), very helpful, they stay mindful of your budget the whole time, and have a wide selection of beautiful, quality wedding dresses. Ive been back 2 times now without an appointment asking to try on my dress and theyve been so accommodating. I have even had a few panic moments, and through it all, Maggie - whos helped me every time - is so understanding and sweet! I cannot say enough positive things about Poinsett Bride!There are no giant plastic gown bags, big ugly clips, or inexperienced staff members here. Vicky patiently helped me select dresses and made suggestions based on my choices. She helped me into every dress and carefully pinned them so I could really see how they would fit. She was honest with her comments and in the end, she helped me find the perfect gown.The store is small, but the selection and the staff are outstanding. I would highly recommend that any bride-to-be make an appointment here immediately!

I went this weekend to try on some dresses. Quickly I was disappointed with who I had as a salesperson. First, she made a comment about who I brought then asked why my mom wasnt there. She lives in Texas so she cant just fly in every month to help me with the wedding. Then, she made a comment about how my fiancé has the real job and I just have a little side job (which I dont!) . Multiple times she left me and went to help a different bride with accessories. The other bride already had a lady helping her so it was frustrating having her leave me in the dressing room to go make another sale. I was overall unsatisfied and she didnt seem like she cared for me to be there. I would not go back!

We came in without a appointment and Maggie fit us in and spent as much time as we needed until we found the perfect dress. She was so knowledgeable and helped us make some small changes to make the dress more beautiful !!!!! Without a doubt I would recommend this place .

One word. Rude. My mother drove in from Ohio to shop with our daughter and we were treated as though we were an inconvenience. We had to wait until a dressing room was cleaned and then had to share the mirror. She found a dress she liked, but we will shop elsewhere and find another as we do not want to deal with this store.

I went with my cousin dress shopping last weekend, this was the first place we stopped at. When we walked through the door, We were approached by a older lady(Alisa?) she looked at me, the bride and the mother of the bride as if we were lost and did not belong in this establishment. My cousin let her know that she had an appointment. She showed us to the room where the dresses were held. She explain to us The price range of the dresses and pointed to a section where the “cheaper”dresses were, indicating that our budget was low, Not knowing that our budget was very expensive and price was NOT a factor. She walked out without even helping search for my cousins dream dress,but that wasn’t even the worst part. I stepped out of the dressing room and sat at the front of the store while my cousin was putting her clothing back. At this point there was a large group of women(Caucasian)that walk into the store.(Alisa) happily approach this group asking the bride who was accompanying her and that she wanted the experience for them to be as wonderful as her wedding day. The greeting that we received was the complete opposite. Our greeting was dull, unwelcoming, embarrassing and most of all disappointing. I really wanted to say something to this woman at this time but I decided that I would not. I think that race did play a part in this experience. With all this being said, we will NOT be purchasing a dress from this horrible establishment and neither should anyone else! Although she seen a dress that she absolutely loved and was able to purchase that day, it will not happen due to the poor hospitality of the staff.

I was in town visiting family for Thanksgiving last year and we spontaneously decided to make an appointment to look for gowns. I live in LA and was having trouble finding someone to help me sort through the variety of gowns that exist. Vikki was such a gem! She helped us sort through rooms of dresses. Towards the end of our appointment she was about to put some dresses away and I spotted THE ONE. We purchased it that day.
