This business really saved me. I HIGHLY recommend this company. Found out hours ago I had a death in the family and needed to get my pants taken up and hemmed. They made an exception for me, a total stranger to get my pants done ASAP because they are closed Sunday & Monday and I probably need them Monday. Their suggestion. Authentic customer service and kindness towards me during a bad day. I told my wife what they charged and she said they are VERY well priced. Katherine (or Kathryn) was nice and even kept the doors open after tehy closed so I could go to the bank to pay them. PLEASE visit these people. Tell your family & friends. They are the real deal. My forever go to place for alterations. They also do monograms and have gifts there too. Thank you Lopes Alterations,

I have used these folks for several alterations in the past and have always received great service and quality work for a great price. A few weeks ago I dropped off a pair of hunting pants to have zippers installed along the outside seams so as to enable donning them over other layers without removing my boots. I had them back within a week with top quality YKK zippers installed. They worked flawlessly in the field. It was a worthwhile investment and Lopes Alterations did a top-notch job.

In the four years that I’ve used this business, I’ve never had a problem until this month. I dropped off several items about three weeks ago - curtains to be shortened, some shirts that belonged to my Dad for mending, and lastly, some swaddling blankets to be lined with patches from my Dad’s shirts. My Dad passed away last fall, and I planned to gift our child and soon-to-be-born daughter with the blankets.Upon dropping off the items, I made it clear I was due Feb. 2 and wanted to know the earliest possible date to pick up the blankets. I was told the curtains and shirts would be ready sooner, in a week, but the blankets would take a few extra days. When I appeared on the promised date to collect my items, I found a hardened glue stain on the sleeve of one of my Dad’s shirts that wasn’t there before and the sleeves were not patched as requested. While the collars were done beautifully, I was also informed that the blankets had yet to be started. At this point I expressed concern for the glue, the incomplete the shirtsleeves, and the fact that the blankets were not even started, despite what I was for delivery. I pointed this out, stating I was confused why there were issues today when I have never had an issue with the business before. No explanation or apology was offered. I expressed my frustration for the lack of readiness and inability to own the mistakes made. Nothing. I paid for the shirts’ collar work and curtains and expressed a desire to figure out a mutually beneficial arrangement as the work was incomplete on the shirts and the blankets not even begun, stating I have always had positive experiences here and wanted to figure out a solution. The owner agreed to finish the shirtsleeves without charging me and told me the blankets would need time but that everything should be ready in one week. She indicated she would call me once the items were ready. I repeated the information back to her to make sure I understood.I didn’t receive a call on Friday, a week after I appeared to pick up the items. I called on Tuesday, of the following week. The owner told me the shirts were done but she didn’t begin the blankets because she had to discuss pricing with me. At this point, I am going on THREE WEEKS waiting for the items, especially the blankets, to have been finished. I expressed how frustrated I felt that she wasn’t taking any ownership for the delays or other issues with the work. I asked for approximate pricing since she was on the phone and she refused to provide that for me, stating I needed to come in person. I asked why she couldn’t talk me through it now and expressed how disappointed I was with the lack of professionalism and poor communication as well as failure to meet expectations, over and over. At this point she accused me of being argumentative stating she wouldn’t argue with me. I clarified my intent wasn’t to argue but understand how these errors occurred. I informed her I would come today to pick up all the items.Upon arriving at the business, she didn’t acknowledge me. Her co-worker addressed me. I communicated my disappointment with the lack of service as well as lack of courteous acceptance of responsibility for these errors, indicating I will now likely not be able to find someone to complete the blankets in time to use for our newborn at hospital (a way to have my Dad feel present for her birth, now that he is gone). I told them I felt disappointed with the inability to have communicated anything about pricing as well as being told various stories about when the items would be ready. I was met with literal silence. No apology or explanation. I am now going to take my business elsewhere. They perform a lovely job when the task is straightforward but be aware - if there is a mistake in the work or miscommunication about readiness of your items or even an error on their part, they will not work with you to solve it, much less offer an explanation or apology. I won’t return here.

Purchased a suit and needed the pants to be hemmed to the correct length. Took them here and was very pleased with the results. Also was cheaper than I anticipated which is always great. Was not in a rush to get them back so it was suggested to pick them up in a week from date of dropoff which was fine with me. I feel sure they would have had them ready earlier had I needed it done in a hurry.

Great customer service and quick! I brought my suit pants in on a Friday afternoon and they were ready for me to pick up by noon the next day! (Which was awesome because I needed them for a wedding at 4pm that day!!) They did a perfect job and the price was unbeatable. I will be using Lopez for all of my future alteration needs.
