My elopement was a month ago but I couldn’t not leave a review as my experience was not great. I had booked makeup and hair for a bride, kids hair and adult hair and makeup. The artist came not introducing herself and just started setting all the equipment. She asked what I wanted and I showed her pictures, she said it was no problem , gave me a touch up kit and we started with my hair. I was telling her how it’s hard for me to do curls since it doesn’t stay for more than 15 minutes and she explained how I need to use special spray since I have thin hair and sounded like someone who knows a thing or two. After 10 minutes from starting she tells me how my hair is too thin and the curls simply won’t stay doesn’t matter how much spray she uses, she said she’ll do the curls without brushing them out and do a touch up at the end. Moved to my makeup which I asked the eyes to stand out and the face and lips to be light with makeup. She used airbrush and I looked like I had layers of foundation. She put lashes which were glued really bad, the front part closer to my nose was hanging in the air. She didn’t fix my hair after saying she would, I simply didn’t have any curls after 30 minutes and she still charged me full price of 100$ for hair. The grooms mom asked for her hair to be blown out and have more volume on top, she didn’t get what she asked for instead the artist flattened her hair and still charges full price of 75$ for 10 minute work after which she had to spend time doing it how she actually wanted. The child wanted Ariel hair which means a lot of curls but instead the artist suggested Elsa and did the simplest braid. The artist didn’t give me the lipstick or powder for the touch up kit and I had to ask for it myself.When the ceremony ended I came home and took off the makeup right away since I felt uncomfortable with it. I am very disappointed of the makeup and hair service. Charging me full price for hair that didn’t even hold is not ok. I saw the reviews and thought I was in good hands but I was wrong.Picture of how I wanted myHair and what I got.

Katie and her team are the best in the area and made myself and my girls look stunning for my wedding day! I used Cotton Rouge for makeup & hair and everyone was in love with how everything turned out! They are super professional, very attentive, responsive, and most importantly, extremely sweet staff & personable. My girl specifically was Amanda and she is a rockstar! For sure book them if you want to look like the goddess that you are!

Highly recommend getting your makeup done!! Did a great job! Lasted through an outdoor wedding!!The hair is why I only gave 3 stars. I wish I could rate them separately. Way overpriced!! My 80 year old mother in law (who has very little hair) was charged $75 for , and I’m being generous, 10 minutes of work. Four of us went. She was supposed to be the professional. She just acted as though she wanted to hurry up. She didn’t have any of her own ideas. We had to tell her what to do. Really regret, and will never, have our hair done there again!

Halie is amazing!! She did an amazing job on hair and makeup for so many ladies for my wedding. We all loved our hair and makeup and it lasted all night! I cant recommend her enough!

I went to Cotton Rouge & Company for the first time last weekend. They were able to get me in very last minute for my maternity photo shoot. I went to see Halie. She was so sweet and professional. From the moment she started I was blow away at how well she knew exactly what she was doing and how perfect and flawless my makeup looked! I felt BEAUTIFUL and so confident in my photo shoot! && my makeup held for THREE days… I know I shouldn’t have worn it that long BUT when I say I was obsessed .. I wasn’t kidding! ❤️ She also styled my hair exactly as the Pinterest photo I brought in! Highly recommend Halie!

Heather Furr is the bees knees, no joke. She did my hair and makeup a long with six other ladies for my wedding and she nailed it. She is so talented made everyone look absolutely stunning. She is so kind and makes you feel so comfortable. All of my girls could not stop gushing over how great she did. Thank you Cotton Rouge for hooking us up with such a talented beautiful soul. She’s a gem and is fantastic at her job!

Leigh, Meg & Jade were awesome! Leigh & Meg were scheduled for 3 services for prom prep and they were expertly efficient and Avery & Alyssa (the clients) looked amazing. Jade rescued us and gave us an emergency makeup service when Alyssas previous arrangements fell through. We were out and gorgeous on time and the girls felt beautiful. Thank you all!!!

All I can say is WOW! Again! Allie & Amanda showed up wedding day early and prepared. They both exceeded our expectations of making my bridesmaids and myself look absolutely beautiful. I completed my trial over a month in advance and day of, they both calmed my nerves and were on time throughout our schedule. They even stayed a little longer just to make sure they were available for touch ups! I’ve worked with cotton rouge for a range of modeling events and yet again they have exceeded my expectations! Thank you so much for everything.

I got married on April 6th and had Hannah and Staci help make us beautiful! Hannah did my hair/makeup and all makeup, and Staci did all hair. Honestly, everyone looked flawless!! I have never felt more beautiful. The girls are not just talented but also so fun! They were the perfect addition to our wedding day!

Katie and her team are always so fabulous at making us look fabulous! After doing a spectacular job for our wedding look two years ago, I wanted to contact her for my maternity photos. With a fatal diagnosis for our baby we have had to reschedule the photos a few times, and Katie was flexible and courteous each time. We finally got to do them yesterday and I could not have felt more like a complete queen!Katie works quickly but never makes you feel rushed. She helped me feel my most beautiful on a very special, and difficult, day. I am so grateful to her and her team for enhancing the treasured “pregnancy glow” and “Beyoncé-fying” me for the captured moments with my baby! Thank you thank you thank you, Katie!

Amanda did our makeup, and Staci did our hair for my daughter’s wedding. They both were awesome and did a great job! Highly, highly recommend!! Katie also was also quick to respond with any questions we had.We had weather issues for both the bridal portraits and wedding, but Amanda and Staci were very accommodating and were able to change places and time at the last minute. They both did an awesome job and were super nice!! 5 stars all the way!

I LOVE Cotton Rouge - Erica and Amanda are incredible! Both were extremely punctual and did an incredible job on my bridal party! I worked with Erica for my bridal trial and she absolutely saw my vision from the start. She was so much fun to work with and SO extremely talented. The whole wedding day was so smooth working with them and everyone loved their looks and how they all had their personalities shine through. We got so many compliments about how wonderful everyone looked and everyones makeup stayed on - even on a HOT Southern day! I cannot recommend Cotton Rouge enough for everything - engagement pictures, boudoir sessions, wedding, you name it. They are the best in the business!

Melissa did my hair and make up for my engagement photo shoot. My hair style was locked in place and did not budge, but did not look overdone with product! My makeup lasted despite being outdoors for several hours in 95 degree heat. I’m looking forward to them doing my wedding party’s hair and makeup!Update: Melissa took on hair and makeup for myself and four others for my wedding. Everyone loved her, and the hair and makeup lasted well past the wedding for everyone. One of my bridesmaids had no vision of what she wanted, and Melissa was able to efficiently work with her and everyone’s look turned out better than I could have ever imagined. I can’t wait to use Cotton Rouge in the future, and highly recommend them! They’re professional, skilled, and wonderful people!

Did a boudoir photoshoot with Katie and absolutely loved it. She made the experience fun and the photos turned out amazing! So thankful for a great experience and much needed confidence boost!

Heather was AMAZING!! She did my hair/makeup for my bridal portraits, my wedding day, and then again for my postponed wedding reception. Every time, IT. WAS. FLAWLESS! I went into the first session not knowing at all what I wanted except for everything to look natural. Heather was able to produce exactly what I had envisioned for my wedding day without even knowing it. Having to go through all of this during a pandemic was stressful to say the least, but Heather remained calm and professional throughout the entire process and made sure my hair/makeup was always taken care of. I am so glad I chose Cotton Rouge and got to work with Heather- what a highlight in a year of craziness!!

Staci and Amanda were wonderful to work with for my wedding day! They were both extremely nice and are very talented artists. They worked well together on the day of my wedding and were very efficient. Everyones hair/make-up looked amazing on our wedding day! I did end up doing two hair trials because my curls didn’t hold after the first one. The day of the wedding, my curls held better than in the trial, but still seemed to come undone on the ends after an hour or two. *BUT* my MOH and I were armed and ready with an extra curling iron and hair spray to do a few touch ups. With extra hair spray and a few touch ups for the ends of my hair, it looked perfect all night! 😍 I’m so in love with my hair and make-up in my wedding pics! My make-up stayed perfectly, and even though I usually do get oily (especially in July SC heat), Amanda put something on my face to help combat the oil on the day of. I didn’t feel oily at all. Even after tearing up multiple times throughout the night, my make-up stayed put and looked perfect. Thank you Cotton Rogue for a wonderful experience!

Very responsive in their emails. Our hair and makeup were amazing. We had the best stylist. She was perfect and professional. She was also very accommodating.

Cotton Rouge is very responsive to requests and questions. They are personable and make your entire experience relaxing and fun. My trial (which I used for rehearsal dinner) and wedding makeup were perfect. My hair fell out a bit toward the end but I was jumping around a ton.Overall- I would highly recommend Cotton Rouge Makeup and Hair studio. They kept the wedding party on time and even got my hair/makeup completed early to give me time to get extra photos taken.Highly recommend them : ) Love the airbrush and lashes,

Cotton rouge is AMAZING! I can’t say enough great things about them. Katie cotton and Halie are incredible make up artists and I felt like a million bucks after they did my make up! I am super picky about my make up and for once, I didn’t touch my face to “fix”’things after they did my make up because they listened to me and did such a wonderful job. Highly recommend for wedding and special event make up!

I couldn’t be happier with the way my makeup turned out for my wedding. Not lonely did it look amazing, it also stayed on perfectly throughout the whole day and into the night!
