Great service at really good price! I’m only in Fort Lee for the summer and need to get my new sports muffler installed and brake fluid flushed for my q50. The whole things are done around 1 hour. The stuffs are professional about their work and really friendly to me. And the owner, Effie, runs his business in a transparent way. He will discuss the issues and get your confirmation before working on your car. It was a really good experiences and I would definitely bring my car for any other service at this place. Honesty is a rare trait in this business, but the guys at BCG Auto are straight shooters and keep it real. Effie and his team will take care of your car as if it was their own. While folks at Lexus Manhattan Service Center were impossible to reach and never returned my calls, Effie picked up right away on the first ring and was readily available to start working on my car. Excellent customer service with no bs. Effie managed the whole insurance claim process on his own. You give them your keys and later pick your car like new. No work in between. Highly recommend!

This was an extremely complicated problem that was very difficult to remedy. There was something stuck in my gas filler cap that required the entire system to be disassembled. Volvo wanted almost $1,000 to fix it. These guys, Effie, had a no problem attitude and extracted the obstacle in less than two hours.He could have charged me many hundreds of dollars, and was extremely fair with me instead. Im so happy I brought my car here. I spent the entire summer without a working AC in my car. Initially I took it to a guy who gave me the run around.. and after a lot of time and effort wasted, ultimately did not fix the issue. I decided to give this place a try based on the reviews. I never write reviews but this place warrants one. A great one! I live in NYC and park my car on the street. Well today, Saturday, on my way to work, my car decided not to start. I thought it was the battery. I called AAA and they came an hour later. Checked the battery and said it was the starter. Said I would need to call a tow truck etc. I happened to try to start it again and it started....its hit or miss with a bad starter. I came home, googled some nearby repair shops in Fort Lee since it was the closest. I did not have the patience to go thru the list since I was not in a great mental state having to cancel work. I happened to read the first few BCG reviews which were so positive so I called Effie. First of all, he was the nicest man! He told me that he had the part and to go out and try and start my car. If it started to bring it in now.....I was expecting Monday since it was a weekend. My luck, it started. I took it in and within one half hour, it was repaired. I couldnt believe how fast and efficient this place was. Not only that, but all of the guys there could not be nicer. The price was also right....and fair.Reviews help....especially the good ones. Amazing experience, you dont find mechanics and professionals like these at all these days. I live in Harrison but if I lived closer, I would make this my dedicated auto repair shop.I came in with a wire issue with my clutch and I was frantic because I literally turned on the car and went to double check up on the wire and it came completely off.So not only was I not able to start the car again if I stalled or turned off the car, it was a Saturday around 4:30pm. Not many auto repair shops are open around that time. Now imagine how many honest and sincere auto repair shops at that time also.I rolled in right away with my issue, they looked at the problem, diagnosed it, found a solution within a minute and fixed it within 15 minutes. I honestly didnt even look at the reviews, I just googled mapped where was the closest and what was even open at that time and man, did I get lucky. The owner didnt even let me pay for the trouble and that sincerity means a lot, especially nowadays when were more divided than ever.I told my wife as I stood there that with things being automated and car companies trying to make things harder for local small business to do their job that its a d@mn shame that things seem to be going more and more in that direction. We need to support our small local businesses. Especially the good ones, every single one builds the community, not the big companies/corporations.Thank you for the help and Ill remember to pass on your service to my friends that do live in the area.

My car’s splash shield fell apart as I was driving to fort Lee the other day. I have been coming here for years and now moving to the Bronx. But I will come back here for my car issues and maintenance. They have found every part I have needed, they call me and let me know when to come in, they are always looking after my best interest and so considerate of my time. Sometimes they have even found issues with the car and fixed it to free.For example, the center console between the passenger seat and driver seat wasn’t closing properly. They had an extra part sitting in the garage, and they replaced it for free. They truly are wonderful, I feel like I have family here. Another time during a routine oil change, they saw I had rims sitting in my trunk, and they asked if I would like them to place the rims on the wheels at no extra charge.You can trust them with your car and money, and you can be yourself. They will not take advantage and again, will always look out for you and your car.

After pulling my car out of my parking spot after a huge snowstorm, I unfortunately noticed that my car had some type of fluid leak. At first, I thought it was the coolant that was leaking. Knowing that a leak can end up leading to costly repairs if not fixed soon, I had to find an auto shop to bring my car into quickly. Normally, I go to Mavis for my car maintenance, but my friend had told me great things about BCG Auto and said the service was outstanding, so I decided to bring my car there instead.Even though the store was going to be closing in a few hours, the owner said it was no problem and to bring my car in anyway. Within a few minutes, they were able to identify that the leakage was from the transmission and that a seal needed to be replaced. He said that it was good I noticed this early, as if all the fluid leaked out, I could have damaged the transmission.Additionally, they also noticed that my rear brakes were completely worn out, which was something that I did not realize or notice. Even Mavis, my usual car maintenance place, did not tell me about this when I brought my car in just a few months ago for an inspection.Within the next day, I got my car back with all of the necessary repairs completed. I am the kind of person that would rather spend the money now in order to maintain and keep the car operating normally than end up later with even more costly repairs due to negligence. For this, I am very grateful that BCG Auto was able to identify the issue and help me repair it quickly before it led to something bigger.All of the workers and the owner were super friendly. They took the time to physically show me what was wrong with the car and explained to me how certain parts in the car work. This assured me that they were honest and were not trying to rip me off (which some car service places do). I trust that the staff here take great care of the cars that they handle. They genuinely care about your best interests and are here to help you.I am super satisfied and very happy that I came here. Effie and his team are absolutely incredible. I had an issue with my car that seemed virtually impossible to fix without going to the dealership and spending a lot of money. Came in after my car broke down a block away. Got the car diagnosed, fixed and also got complementary bulbs replaced all in one day! I am very pleased with the service. From the outside it looks like a regular gas station but don’t let that fool you the staff is very knowledgeable and capable of doing all types of jobs. I got my clutch done, axles and had a check engine light fix.

You will not need to pay for unnecessary services. Effie will try to save you every dollar he can. He is very knowledgeable, he delivers his promises on time. I love to leave my problems in his hands. I know that my car will be completely fixed and returned on time. Effie told I will include that AC procedure and will make your cooling system like a new car .Truly, he made my CRV rides like new and quiet. I don’t normally post reviews but I am making an exception for this shopI have been coming here for the past 10 years or so with any and all car problems. Have also referred at least 20-30 people here in that time span. Have never had a complaint myself or heard of a single complaint from anyone I referred. Feedback is always extremely positive. That speaks volumes in this industry. Service is top notch, professional, and timely.Most importantly, the owner is honest. He is never going to tell you that you need work done unless it’s absolutely necessary. Again, that speaks volume in this industry and is certainly not the norm from my past experiences at other shops.I’d recommend this place to anyone. Feel very fortunate to have this business in my town and close by.

I have no words for how amazing this mechanic shop is. I was stuck over an hour away in a snow storm without knowing what the problem even was. I called Effie as a first time customer and within the hour he showed up with a scan tool and a bunch of other tools and was able to get my car back to his shop without me even stepping outside of my car . Did I mention I had both of my kids in the back of the car as well?!?! If you go anywhere else but here then I don’t know what’s wrong with you .

Effie and his staff were amazing in their service - I was pleasantly surprised by their honesty and kindness. The back of my car was damaged after a little accident, and I quickly called different auto repair shops in a rush to fix the damage. Thankfully, one of the shops I called was BCG AUTO. I explained what happened, and Effie, on his way back from Boston, told me he could see my car on the same day as soon as he got back to New Jersey. Once I pulled in the shop, Effie quickly took my car and told me to trust him and play with his dogs in his office. Within minutes, he fixed the dent on the back of my car. Although the damage was not huge, Effie did not charge me at all, which definitely would not have been the case with other repair shops nearby. I am so grateful for what Effie did for me today - his kindness, honesty, and professionalism will not be forgotten! :) I highly recommend!

I have been to many mechanic shops but my experience here has been the best. I have had minimal service and recently had to get major repairs transmission replaced, they were super fast and super fair in price. I am certain that any other shop would have taken longer and charged much more. I highly recommend this shop!

BCG automotive repair and gas station great service with Fair prices on gas and repairs good location off of Palisade Avenue and across the street from Hirams hot dogs and burgers they have great mechanics that know their stuff been using them for a long time theyre one of the cheaper gas stations in that area and I see all types of foreign & domestic vehicles from Toyotas to rolls-royces they can get it done they take great care of my GMC van from engine to tires and even body work never had a problem thank God!!!.... so if youre in the area and you need some work or if you just need some gas come check these guys out they also have great prices on quality used cars & trucks and if they dont have it on the premise they can get it.

My 2006 Chrysler Pacificas transmission is going. I have been to a number of car repair places in the area over the years. I always purchased my gas there but never used their repair shop. I noticed that they advertised transmission repairs. Effie, the owner, shared what he would do so that I could pass inspection and drive the car with piece of mind. Another time my engine shut down on me during a heavy rain storm. I managed to get the car going again and drove to his station. He hoped right into the car, drove it around and explained it was water that splashed onto the engine and that the car was perfectly safe to drive. Today as I accelerated you could feel something hopping. Again I drove to his station and he drove it around the block, Since my car is so old the engine block is coming off of its mount. Im leaving my car with him on Monday so that he can fix it. I wont use anyone else now. I believe he is a very honest, fair and kind person.

I first found Effie after an issue with another shop. When I spoke to him, best experience! He’s just an honest and good man. He let me know I didn’t get ripped off (which’s was amazing since he wasn’t trying to throw the competition under the bus) and let me know what else was needed. He’s my mechanic this day forward. After reviewing the 1 star rating here, I decided to write a review. These days it is very hard to find a honest mechanic. Effie is really a good person. There was something wrong with the wheels of my car. I asked him to do a balancing not to inspect the car. However, he asked me that what problem let me think that the balancing should be done. I described the handling and he took it for a test drive. Actually it was because of the bended rim. Only balancing would not fix the problem. I was asked to get the rim fixed first then do the tire balancing. Yesterday I couldnt install a headlight bulb and I took the car there. He installed it without charging me. I really doubted if the story is true in that 1 star rating. I also found out that he gave 5 star to bovan repair shop near here, and he didnt give details about the reason he gave 5 star. Even it is true, everyone makes mistakes. I will definitely bring the car to this shop if anything wrong with my cars.

Extremely friendly and helpful! Helped get the best price for car repairs with quick service. Drove in with a weird sound from my car, they figured out the issue instantly, ordered the parts right away so I walked around for a little and when I came back the brakes were fixed and I was able to get right back on the road!

I have turned to the professionals working here on several occasions and they ALWAYS did the work fast and with quality. They literally saved me twice when my car died and I needed help towing it... they drove out to where I was stranded to pick me up and gave me a lift home. I bought a used car in Fort Lee and called Effie at BCG Auto to see if he could look at the vehicle for me. He fit me in the next day, brought me under the car to show me a couple minor issues, and assured me it was a good value. I felt confident buying the car after having Effie and his team look at it. Car is still driving smoothly weeks later!

So, I don’t know who leaves positive reviews to this place. Here is my experience. I came to them with an engine issue, they tried to fix it in a simple way, but unsuccessfully and then proceeded to go for a more expensive fix. Then, they said: since we opened the engine let’s get another couple of things done, it’s cheap because we already have access to parts and it’s a good idea to do it long term. So far good, I took the car, paid around 1500 for it and was happy to go, since I thought that I did some good maintenance and fixed my issue. However, very soon I could tell that engine started burning a lot of oil. I was concerned and went to talk to them. They suggested that it’s temporary and just needs to run for a bit and then will get better. So a year later when I actually got it to a mechanic that is a friend of mine, we put it on the lift and looked. What we saw is that the whole back side of the engine was covered with oil and I mean COVERED, big time. These people didn’t seal the engine right and it wasn’t burning oil, it was leaking. Then we took the head of and to our surprise we could see that half of the works that I was charged for were simply not done.So, to summarize, overcharged me for works that they didn’t do, did the work they did so wrong that it caused serious issues and huge risks (thank God engine didn’t catch on fire being so covered with oil) and kept trying to persuade me that everything is ok without knowing what they are talking about. Complete scam, will never come back again.

Effie and the BCG staff are fantastic - reliable, friendly, reasonable and completely trustworthy. Even though we recently moved over 30 miles away, we still take our cars to him! On top of it all, he and his family are just great people. Highly recommend!

I met a saint the other day. His name was Effy--Im not sure if that spelling is right, so Im going to call him F.E. = Fatherly Emissary...truly a saint sent from God! He saved me in more ways than I can describe here. That morning, I drove my son to sleep away camp in the Poconos. On the way, my car almost didnt start after we stopped for a restroom break! Nevermind that I had just taken it in the day prior to my local garage and told them to replace the starter (I have had many starters fail on me, so I knew what I was talking about), but they swore it was the battery, so I trusted them and assumed my car was safe to make the long drive to PA from MD. So imagine my frustration and disappointment and fear that I might get stranded on the road with my son! I was lucky that my husband found F.E. on Google, with so many overwhelmingly stellar reviews, and F.E. graciously agreed to wait for me, even though I was going to arrive past closing! In tears, I drove there, and the calmest, most Zen man with kind eyes greeted me warmly and quickly diagnosed my failing starter. He quoted me a price about 2/3 what I was expecting, and asked me where I needed to go. I explained I had a flight to catch out of JFK, and he told me, Hop in, lets go! The man drove me in my car ALL THE WAY TO JFK, about an hour that day in traffic, and was happy to help me! He told me about his fight and victory over cancer, and I just knew this man was put on this earth to spread love, goodwill, and kindness among mankind. He dropped me off with well wishes for a good trip and kept my car at his garage for 15 days, with no charge for storage!! That would have been easily $600 parking at JFK--which I couldnt have afforded after paying twice to repair my car. This incredible act of kindness and generosity turned my nightmare of a day around, and I will never forget that day! Please, if you are near NYC, do yourself a favor and come see F.E. and his lovely daughter and professional staff--they are honest, good people, and will take care of you like their own. If only we had more people like F.E. in the world... THANK YOU, F.E., for everything!!!

I can’t say enough good things about Effie and his staff at BCG. My car overheated and broke down on the GW bridge and they took such amazing care of me from the moment I called. Effie met me at my car with coolant to get me to the shop so I didn’t need to be towed and fixed the problem quickly. I also got to play with his adorable dogs while waiting for the repair. I highly recommend, he is incredibly kind and honest and goes above and beyond.

Wow - dont even hesitate to get your car fixed here. I failed a state inspection elsewhere (not NY or NJ) and came in to get a tire replaced and a light housing fixed. I contacted Effie via his number on google maps and he immediately got back to me. I sent pictures of what I needed to get fixed (texted it to him after he sent me a message) and he gave me an honest and EXCEEDINGLY reasonable quote immediately. He arranged to get the needed parts within the hour. Literally from the time I contacted him, dropped off the car, and got my light housing replaced, tire replaced was a total of about 2.5 hours. I would have spent a week waiting for mercedes to do the same and they would have charged me significantly more. Effie and his crew are all very professional, kind, and hard working. They even fixed an unsightly scratch which I had incurred while in the city. All in all I cant say enough good things about these guys - I highly recommend getting your car fixed. I am typically apprehensive about non-mercedes mechanics, but Effie and his crew have changed my tune. Get your car fixed here - you wont be disappointed.

Effie is a fantastic mechanic and an amazing human with a beautiful soul. He’s incredibly kind, honest, and reliable! My family and I have long appreciated how amazing he is as a person and a mechanic, and it shows in his work and how he treats people. We’ve been going to him for YEARS and he always delivers! He’s really patient and takes his time to check the car to find the source of the problem, and always checks in to let me know once he’s found it and how he can fix it. People always talk about horror stories where the mechanic broke more than they fixed and how their car is ruined after they were charged an arm and a leg, but not with Effie! I refuse to get anything fixed without checking in with Effie first because I know he will do everything he can and more to get the job done right!

Effie and his team at BCG is beyond description.... He is not only an experienced mechanic, but runs his business like an extended family, where the customers are always the guests. I found BCG online as I was looking for an independent shop to replace the brakes, a run-flat tire, and a wheel alignment on my 2018 Sienna; the dealer had given me a quote which I thought was excessive, so when I saw the reviews for this place, I called up and was surprised with the quote that Effie provided... About 40% difference in price!! But this was only the start of my amazing experience with Effie.... When the car was ready for pick up, on the same day, I might add.... My ride cancelled, so Effie sent an assistant to come pick me up at my place in Weehawken, about a 20 minute drive. I had never experienced service like this before, even from luxury dealerships. Upon arriving, Effie handed me the keys, and told me to go drive the car first, and see how I like it.... Without even mentioning payment. The car ran better than ever.... And Effie answered every one of my questions with transparency and honesty. Ive met and encountered too many mechanics, shops, and dealerships in my life... None compares with the level of service and cost efficiency as Effie and his family of team members. I have several other European sports cars which I will be bringing to Effie. I Was always looking for a great great reliable autoshop near my house. I was always kind of hesitant to take mercedes amg to just any autoshop. I’ve been to good amount of autoshops in Fort Lee and in Edgewater. I found this amazing old school looking place called BCG. I want to say this BCG stands for Best Car Garage and when you get there just look for Effie- periodDo not forget to wear masks 😷👌
