Get ready for a sugar rush. The ice cream in a chimney cone is not to be missed.... They serve Gunthers which makes probably the best birthday cake ice cream I have ever had (not a flavor I normally get). The pricing is a little weird (basically everything is $8) so as long as you are ready to commit to $8 and thousands of calories this is a must. And ask for Jordan -- he is the best scooper!!

The actual ice cream is just alright. The special cones are novel, but are just way too much sugar/dessert.The ice cream just up the street at snooks is higher quality, but you don’t get those special cones that you have here.

I was in line at 7:40p and the place was set to close at 8p. There was a couple in front me and a party at the counter being helped. After standing in line for 5 minutes the gentleman behind the counter announced that he would “only be helping the current party” then he was closed for the night. I left along with the couple in front of me. Not cool to close before the stated time and not help those waiting on line. Obviously I didn’t get to try the desserts so the one star is for the lack of service. To Baskin-Robbins I go.

Ice cream shop that uses a donut like pastry for the cone. I got the nutty professor and my son got the apple pie a la mode . Problems. In a small cup that is very light. Always had to hold it do it wouldnt fall over. My son lost his cone in the first few bites and never got to finish it. The ice cream was good, rich soft serve, but not a lot of flavor options. Appeared to be vanilla and chocolate only. Both our desserts came with flavors (peanut butter /apple pie filling) in the bottom of the cone. Neither of us knew this, so we got all this treat after the ice cream was gone. So, like eating a filled donut when you got that far.For reference, the muffins next to the glazed donut are about the same size as CostCo muffins.

We had never tried this place before. We saw a picture of an ice cream out front and had to check it out. Mine said it was oreo but it turned out to just be chocolate soft serve with chocolate crumbs on top. The cone was fancy but for almost 8 dollars it didnt do it for me. My friend got a raspberry cheesecake one and said there was a little bit of raspberry in the very bottom.

This place is FANTASTIC. Your choices of ice cream are vanilla, chocolate and swirl. Sounds simple, but the combinations of toppings on top of the ice cream and INSIDE the cone make it unique and DELICIOUS. The cone itself is very much like a pastry. A 5 star treat!

On top of first-in-last-out service, they gave me the wrong order. Im also not sure why they have gelato on the menu when they really mean soft-serve. Gave an extra star because the sweet cone was bomb AF.

I really had high hopes for this place! I was not satisfied with caramel crunch dessert… I’m not sure if it was an off day but my cone tasted and smelled burnt and kind of a bit stale, the ice cream tasted good but as far as toppings go there wasn’t very much I was expecting something a little bit more extravagant since I spent eight dollars… Not to mention the service really wasn’t that great. I am overall dissatisfied with this place and probably won’t be back.

The cones are the main attraction here so if you are looking for ice cream, then this place is not what you think.Three flavors: chocolate, vanilla and swirl. Theyre good but those are the only options.However, if you want to try something different then try the different cones they offer. Theres also coffee and pastries (limited options) available.

I stumbled across this shop when I was walking around Historic Folsom. Intrigued by the flavors on the sign I continued to wander before finally giving in to my curiosity. I tried the Maple Vanilla Bacon cone and I have to say I was very happy with it.The price was good for the size of the treat and the size of the cone was large enough that I ultimately shared half of it with a friend. The mix of flavors tasted great and it got even better when you cleared the top layer and got into the cones interior.Im actually grateful that I do not live any closer to the shop otherwise I might spend too much time there.

Horrible. Ordered 3 items and only got 2. The person who took our order newer put in one of the cones.Ice cream taste very cheap like McDonalds or Wendy’s ice cream.Coffe taste like smoked cigarettes. Would not recommend at all.

I have finally been able to get a product there to review. So I am updating my review and rating.However, I cannot give it a full five stars for continued operational issues. When I was there I saw customers wait for 15+ minutes at the front of the register. I also saw a man come in, wait for a long time and then turn and walk out. I understand the ice cream products take some time, but with some very basic operational fixes this store could be 5 stars and serving everyone quickly and wonderfully. Operational issues aside, the desserts are one of a kind. I got the gone Bananas. The cone was cinnamon and sugar. The bananas were fresh and the nutella coated the inside protecting the ice cream from leaking out. There is no dessert quite like this. Fix the operational issues and 5 stars is too modest.

Terrible! youll get better ice cream if you go to McDonalds, also seems to be the same machine, this is not an ice-cream place. I ordered 4 icecream, for $4 each they gave us a miniature ice-cream.. really .. joke?The machine was not working, the girl didnt care. Very dissapointed and wont come back again.

Brandon is so helpful every time we go. Best pastry cone filled with soft serve ice cream that us out of this world. The dough is a old family Hungarian recipe. This is an amazing spit on the strip of historic Folsom, Ca.

Such an awesome ice cream shop by far one of my favorites. Cones are amazing and the ice cream compliments it so well I cannot emphasise it enough. Got complimentary donut holes while I waited for my ice cream, how awesome! 10/10 would come many more times.

It was late so we did not get the freshest cone. The service was good and the ice cream concoction was generally tasty and I really liked the creative flavor choices. I hope to try an espresso drink as that was the other half of the menu. We got a free dozen donut holes as they were cleaning up :D

You have to try this place if you are visiting the Historic District in Folsom! This place is delicious. The smell of the sweet cones hits you as soon as you walk in, yum! There are different options to choose from. I got the S’mores Sweet Cone and it was so good, the marshmallow was perfect! The soft served ice cream is amazing and the presentation is unique. There’s more toppings at the bottom of the cone and you don’t have to eat the cone to get to them (just the ice cream)There’s no other place in the area that could compare. Great customer service and the place is very clean. If you have a sweet tooth, you must try this place.

I didn’t try the cones, but they have a great coffee menu! What a great little location, with an inviting atmosphere that smells like heaven ( in the form of fresh-made cones)! We recommend the mocha.

First time checking this place out. Has an awesome menu of choices. All fresh donut cones and waffle cones. And not to mention Frozen gelato! We will definitely be back :-)

Unique style of cone and very good. Fun combos. You can watch them make the churros while you wait. The wait was really long, but the staff was friendly and handed out numbers so you could shop and come back. They are new so that might be why the lines were so long.

Ingredients were placed at the bottom of cone. You have to eat 85% of the cone to get to the toppings. Maybe they just messed up on my item? I will give them another chance.

A sweet fresh tasty treat. I finally got around to trying a cone from Sweet Dozen Cones. I tried the Gone. Bananas. The gelato was good, nothing amazing. However the cone was delicious, warm, with a flavor between a fresh donut and a churro. They offer a good variety. The only thing I would like to see is the ability to make your own variety. A simple vanilla with pistachios on top would be delicious. Great customer service though with a friendly staff.

If you’ve ever gone on vacation to Prague or Budapest, these desserts will be familiar to you. Prague has a “Trdelnik” shop on nearly every corner, with many tourists lining up to try this special treat.Sweet Dozen Cones does a faithful reproduction of this Central European treat, except with more topping options. Sweet Dozen opened here in our home town only a few months after our family trip to Prague (where we enjoyed Trdelnik nearly every day), so it was a pleasant surprise.The owners are friendly and the shop is clean and cozy. My only wish is later hours on the weekends.Give them a try if you get the chance. It’s one of very few places this side of the Atlantic where you can find one.

I’m not a huge sweets person but this place is incredible, not just in the cones but also in the service. Completely made my day, and I would absolutely go back.

This shop has gone downhill. I went to Cones the first week that they opened and the cones were perfect. Now, the shop has gone completely downhill because they appear to be serving melting messes. I order the three cones that I usually get myself and my family two of them were burnt and the ice cream was melted. The third was also melted, which I don’t understand because I ordered and waited for 20 minutes. They also ran out of the ingredients for the cones that I ordered. Overall, bad experience and it is pass until they get it together.

I have been wanting to go here for MONTHS. I was completely disappointed! They served me a melting mess that I had to eat outside since it was dripping everywhere. And it’s just soft serve ice cream people! Then the cone part was dry. I never throw away food. Ever! Well my husband and I threw the cones away. Save your money and go to Costco. Get their frozen yogurt and a churro and BAM. Way better and a 4th of the price.

The cones here are delicious. They have chocolate and vanilla gelato that gets served in a deep-fried donut cone (cinnamon sugar, oreo, or walnut), and covered with a variety of toppings. Theres also regular cones available, but the donut cones are delicious and decadent. They are also HUGE--easily split between two, but we definitely all happily had our own.The people working the register were super friendly and answered all our questions as it was our first time going. They have some pre-made flavors, but they can also customize cones. Besides cones, they also sell a limited offering of donuts and other pastries.I came at 7pm on a Thursday December night, so we were the only people in the shop, so suffice it to say, we had very little wait. That being said, I can imagine this place being a beast in the summer, so keep that in mind.

The ice cream here is amazing. It tastes more like gelato because it’s so rich. And the cones are sweet and delicious. I got the s’mores one and the cone was basically a churro, but it was filled with ice cream. The portion size is good too. The only thing I would change is to make it a real cone rather than cone shaped because some ice cream spills out of the bottom into the cup they give you. It would be easier to just eat it like a regular ice cream cone. Still, I come here almost every time I’m in the area because it’s so good

I had the smores cone and it was so good. The menu has a surprising amount of options and they all look great. They even have doughnuts for sale. Ill definitely be back to try more!
