Upon my dad’s recommendation, this was my first visit to Harrell’s off of Owen Drive. They were all so wonderful! Robert was very helpful and explained everything at every step. They were very thorough. The business was very clean and professional looking, with a nice calming atmosphere. Robert and the sweet lady working there (sooo sorry I did not get her name) really were great! I will definitely go back! Thank you for such great care and service! EXCELLENT BUSINESS!!

Was recommended by a friend. Walked in, discussed my problem, made appointment for two days later. Dropped off car night before. All staff is professional and knowledgeable. Front desk area clean and organized. Drive in work bays also very neat, clean and well laid out. Received phone call when car was finished, no surprises with amount charged. I was told what they did, and to monitor the repair and if anything else happens, to come back and let them know. We are very happy with this shop.

Although they were unable to fix my problem(due to a piece of equipment they do not carry) they helped me as much as the possibly could. They went above and beyond with helping me figure out where I could go to get my car fixed. They even tried to do a “quick fix” for me to make my car operational until it was fully repaired, all for free. I will be giving them any future business.

Harrell’s made me feel very comfortable and trustworthy of what they were telling me. They are professional and broke it down to easily understand what they were saying. I live out of state but if I lived here, Harrell’s would be my go to auto place. I’m definitely referring them to my parents for their auto needs. And when I’m in town, I will be visiting them for any of my auto needs. This is a great place with awards and showing of their auto credentials. I really wanted to tell them, I love you all!

I actually had a van that would not start towed into their shop and they got me back on road as quickly as possible. I also had them service the air conditioning system. They do great work and prices are really good as far as I am concerned. I will do business again there in the future.

They were extremely helpful and professional. My car was having an electrical issue that wasn’t very apparent and they worked tirelessly giving me constant updates on the process of my vehicle. They put a lot of work and care into my vehicle and charged a fair price for the amount of work they put into it. I got away with a steal. I wish I could give 10 stars! The professionalism paired with expertise and efficiency had me in my car within 45 minutes without an appointment.SHORT STORY.I ordered tires/rimes from online site to put on my Jaguar and set an appointment with “Discount tires” in Raeford, NC days in advance. (DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING THERE) They had my car and tires for two days just to tell me they will not put them on because I brought the wrong tires. Then proceeded to offer me 50% store credit on the tires I brought and sell me tires they had in stock for an extra $400, plus mounting and balancing. I contacted Harrells and they able to show me proof that my tires were correct and put them on for UNDER $20!!I am now a Loyal customer thanks to Dana (Front Desk) and Kevin (Technician).

Service is great! Price is excellent!!! However, I drop my car off in the morning and pick it up in the afternoon (my choice) and this is the second time I have had to wait while they figure out how to reset my maintenance reminder on my car. Harrell automotive was a life saver. After working 12hrs shift, I went to Jiffy Lube to have one of the staff, check my Alternator, and he the staff checked my Alternator. This kind gentleman stated jiffy lube was NOT able to replace my Alternator. Immediately Jiffy Lube worker, recommended me to try Harrell Automotive to have my alternator replaced. I am a native of Fayetteville and well known of ALL mechanics in Fayetteville and Harrell was my choice, all I can say is, Harrell Automotive is my 1st Choice, the Service and Customer Service were well professional, they are ALL about Customer Service, by making sure we continue their service.. I needed to have my tires balanced and rotated in preparation for an unexpected trip. After reading other reviews for Harrell’s, I called about an appointment. Polite, professional, friendly from start of the call to end of the appointment. I’ll certainly be using Harrell’s for my other vehicles.

My car had been stalling out here and there when coming to a stop since November. No one else could figure out what was going on or get it to do it for them while they drove it. Took my car to Harrells today and David figured out what it was and fixed the issue all in one day with time for me to go have lunch with my friends!!!! I will not from here on out take my car to anyone else except DAVID @ Harrells. They were so awesome and went about and beyond even got my warranty company to help pay half of it which the issue wasnt covered but I was so grateful!!!!

The manager, service advisors and technicians are very professional and friendly. I have been taking my Jeep there since 2017. They have always treated me very well. I trust them and am always satisfied with their services. They also give me rides to work when needed. I have recommended Harrells to others and will continue to do so.

I like using Harrells and always have professional service. I took my wife’s car in to get the oil changed, tires rotated and check engine light checked.The reason I docked a star:They were busy and unable to get to it the same day. This is not really a big deal but I had to call them to see what the status was and that’s when they told me. I wish they would have let me know sooner and I would have brought it back another day. I am also not sure why it cost $110 to tell me what the status code on the check engine light was. It ended up being an ECM upgrade and they could not perform the upgrade. I would have understood the charge if they could fix it.

I was sent to Harrells because of non-availability at CARMAX (where my warranty is through), due to a partnership between the two companies. Harrells was very accommodating, since I was leaving town for a week. The process to drop off the car the night before was simple, they took care of other services I requested outside of the original reason for the appointment, had no issue holding onto the car until I returned, and I even received a follow-up text message a few days later to ensure everything was working properly. I appreciate the work, and professionalism.

I bought it in to get my timing chain replaced and when I got my truck back it sounded worse than then before. I brought it back complaining about the issues and they tell me its nothing wrong. Then I take it to Ford and they diagnose my truck and come back with a bill for almost 4000 dollar. Because like I tried to tell Harrells whoever fixed on my truck torn my truck up. Couldn’t figure out what was wrong with my truck and they were so patient and changed my transmission oil and pan, they also referred me to another mechanic in order to get that checked. The end result is great and would recommend anyone to them!

Took my truck to get an EGR valve replaced, price to get that changed was $95.00 plus taxes, while replacing the egr the mechanic broke a bolt off the exhaust manifold which typically break all the time due to the engine heating up and cooling down, mechanic looked at me said we have a problem, then mechanic looks up the parts and the time to fix, that he broke off went back in to speak to warner the counter guy, I leave he called to follow up with me and told me my bill went from $95 plus taxes to $1125, then I go out of my way to order a new manifold take it over there to them finally a week later they took my truck on a test ride then a pipe blows off my truck its broke down on side side of the road while the mechanic was test driving it, they had it towed back to the shop call me up and says hey Erik this is what happened to the truck, the pipe that was blown off was on back order for 5-7 business days so you’re telling me you all are going to have my truck for almost two weeks called back up and spoke to the manager he stated he had called all the local dealers to see if they had that part in stock says he’s done all the leg work I’m about to do, so I made a phone call to Shallotte ford which is 2.5 hours from me they said yes sir we have one in stock so I had to take off work drive 2.5 hours there and 2.5 hours back dropped off the part back to them and they had my truck fully completed to their knowledge I get a ride back over to their shop spoke to another guy named tony which was completely rude, he then told me my bill went from $95 to $1125 then to $1600 without follow up so I said I’m not paying that price I asked for him to call up the manager he told me I’m not going to do that sir he’s off work like you gotta be kidding me?? Then warner chimes in I thought Robbie the manager was going to call you, way to push off you’re mistakes on a manager, so I had to wait another weekend with no transportation. Once again I get a hold of the owner and spoke to him he got my bill barley discounted and again I’m paying for their mechanics mistake Robbie says you’re truck is good to go and you have a so in so warranty on parts and labor.I paid them unfortunately then I take my truck home and the the very next day same check engine light comes on once again same problem I take it back up there the next day mechanic just clears the code and acts as if its going to fix the problem, so that same day I take my truck to a local ford dealership and they got into it and find out Harrells mechanic ran my coolant pipe on top pressing up against my exhaust pipe which would’ve melted my coolant pipe and caused more issues and more money and started cutting random hoses left his razor blade in the engine bay left loose a vacuum valve which was losing compression then I had to pay ford $1200 for the mistakes Harrells mechanic made so needless to say I WILL NEVER USE ANOTHER HARRELLS LOCATION NOR WILL I EVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO THEM EVER. BASICALLY PAID THEM FOR THE STUFF THAT THEY BROKE AND TRIED TO BREAK AGAIN IN MY NEAR FUTURE.

You can obviously see that most of these reviews are people that work for them or have some relationship with the shop. I dropped my car off to have a simple oil change. They had one car in the bay. I come back two hours later they hadn’t even moved my car from the spot I parked in. Nothing professional about them. This is my second and experience with Harrells first was just as bad. If you have the ability I would advice going somewhere else.

They are always friendly and efficient! Ive used this location for oil changes, tires and brakes. Im always happy giving them my money

Overall not great. Called twice to get a status, hours after an appointment; notes in the papers were different from what I had said was the problem; and actually told me I had not turned in a key FOB with my keys when I found it dropped under the seat. Diagnosed one issue eventually, but I will just stick with others in the future.

I had a wonderful experience with Harrel’s Auto!! A different shop had tried to take advantage of me and so I went to Harrel’s instead.. they ensured my car was taken care of and at a reasonable price. I will go here for all my auto needs from now on! They went above and beyond for me!!

I have a Volkswagen Jetta and have taken it in to Harrells for maintenance for the last three years as needed. They are nice, knowledgeable and reasonably priced as well as honest. They also offer shuttle service - which is a great help. Recommend 10/10 to anyone looking for a mechanic/shop for their vehicle.

I wanted to get a leaking front axle seal replaced, and the price was so reasonable that I asked them to fix two bad tire pressure sensors as well. When I came back to pick up my car, I saw that they were only charging me for the seal replacement. They told me that the sensors were good, just needed resetting. They could have charged me and I wouldnt have known it. Their honesty has earned my business!

As a business owner- I strongly dislike giving a negative review. This is my first negative review and hopefully my last. In this matter, this company was either deceptive in their practices or committed a gross error; both are unacceptable. Here’s the timeline: Visit 1- fixing of a window issue and some routine maintenance. Upon receipt of my car my windshield wipers became inop. No biggie. I figured that this just occurred...maybe/ maybe not. Visit 2- A few months later after getting caught in heavy rain, I bring my car in for windshield wiper repair and routine maintenance. I budgeted about +/- $200 for this visit. I get a call with cost- not bad, however the recommendations they offered shot the price north of $800. In good trust, I paid it with no problem. I then picked up my car and heard a new noise coming from the AC. I immediately thought they may have been up to something, but I trusted them and looked past the new noise that magically occurred. Visit 3- In less than 30 days of getting my car back guess what’s happens? Yep, you guessed it- my AC is blowing hot air. I take it back to them and inform them of this weird timeline of events and current issue. They get defensive and I digress and pull up my lawyer on speed dial to put him on notice. I agree to have them perform a diagnostic all the while I knew I would be throwing away money for the diagnostic and declining further services. I await their call for the results of the diagnostic. Yep you guessed it...the car will need $1,300+ in services. ALL OF SUDDEN! Bottom line- We firmly believe that they either maliciously or deceptively manipulated the vehicle in the effort of procuring “repeat business.” They have forever lost my trust and the trust of many of my colleagues. I encourage, you the reader, to stay away from this shop.

I had $3400 of work done on my car, one of them being the rear shock absorbers. I picked the car up and there was a clunking noise coming from the passenger rear. I brought the car back 2 days later and the technician said there is nothing wrong, just stuff clunking around in the back of your car (not true). After driving the car for several weeks the clunking continued. I brought it back again and they said it was the rear drive shaft (not true). So I took it to Eds Tire and they said the rear shock absorber was not mounted correctly and they fixed it for free. This place doesnt have a clue what they are doing.

Overpriced. First, there was duplicate labor charges, (charged me another 40 bucks to change a belt that had to come of in the $153 alternator repair that already includes such labor). Garages do this and I get that, but then they inflated the parts price of an alternator from 241 (retail price, which they don’t pay already) to 403.000. I have tried this shop out twice, and both repairs came out higher than they should have.

Originally I had given Harrells a 5 star rating talking about how great Josh and the guys were, and how they were honest guys who saved me a lot of money by telling me my breaks didnt need to be fixed as originally they thought they had, and so didnt fix them, even though I had already gve them the ok to do so. This is all true. However I later had some problems. I brought my 2002 Chey cavalier to them because my check engine light was on. I was due for inspection so needed whatever was making the light go on repaired, and also over all check up on the car to see what it needed to pass inspection. Well the first time I brought it in, they repaired my Evap vent Solenid and my gas cap ( even though I told them the gas cap on it was replaced just a couple months ago). Also, with my agreement, flushed the breaks and replaced the drive belt, but that has nothing to do with the check engine light. They told me they did more test to rule anything else out, including a smoke test. I now know they did not do a smoke test that first time, or if they did, they did not do it properly. The reason I know this is because a few days later I had to take it back to them because the check engine light came back on again. They then told me they could not do a smoke test because they did not have a schraeer valve to do it with and that part had been discontinued for my car so couldnt get one. So if they couldn’t do the smoke test the second time for this reason, then they couldn’t have done it the first time as it was the same guy doing it. Every other mechanic I called however said they were nuts and you did not have to have the schraeer valve to do a smoke test, which was shown to be true when Harrells got a new, more experienced mechanic. That mechanic did the smoke test apprently just fine with out the schraneer valve and replaced the purge valve. Well , this time the check engine light took 80 miles to come back on, but it did come back on. took it back to Harrells, they said the gas cap wasnt on tight. They tightened it. Havnt touched the gas cap since, the light came back on again in 15 miles. So I have spent a lot of money replacing parts that apparently didnt need to be replaced as they are not what cause the problem. They lied to me about doing the first smoke test, and still dont know whats wrong with my car. The only advice they have now is to call chevy and see if I can get a factory gas cap. Decide for yourself according to your mechanical knowledge and experience if you think they are a place you want to trust and go to after my story. As for me, I am looking for a new mechanic.
