Prior to today, our loyalty was with C & J Auto, and had today gone differently we would have remained loyal, but we will NEVER be back. We went in on 07/15 at 0730 to drop off our STI for a regulator & motor for the drivers side window. We were informed it wouldn’t be ready until late afternoon which was no big deal…the afternoon arrived and we were contacted by a employee who wanted to let us know that the parts just came in and it won’t be done until tomorrow (07/16). Again it was no issue, and then today arrived…no call or anything so at 12:12pm we called them, we were informed that the parts that arrived were used so they sent them back and were having brand new ones delivered and they were going to get our STI fixed. We received a call about 15mins later stating they may or may not scratch the tint but they wanted to let us know just in case…which we appreciated. We went ahead and headed there since by the time we got there it would almost be finished if not already finished. Here is the kicker…PLEASE explain to me how you have mechanics who don’t know what they are doing? For you to come out to me and say that the mechanic who does know how to fix this, is busy so he can’t fix it….is absolutely ridiculous. You had my door completely apart my window out and everything yet you didn’t know how to properly fix it. So then why risk causing a bigger problem with a vehicle that doesn’t belong to you? You not only scratched my tint, but you couldn’t take 2 seconds to wipe all of your finger prints off my window. Clearly you don’t care about things when they aren’t yours, let alone keeping loyal customers. To say we are disappointed is a huge understatement, today spoke volumes and if this is how you’re running things now I promise you won’t last long.

They were amazing. I called them about getting my a/c working they had excellent customer service over the phone. So I walked in and they were exactly the same as they were on the phone excellent customer service they fixed my truck in a couple of hours and sent me on my way. I have nothing but excellent things to say about this garage and I’m so grateful for how they took care of me.

The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. The building is clean and organized. They installed struts on my SUV and aligned it in a timely manner, for a fair price. I will gladly use their services again.

Chris at the front desk is very helpful and kind. First time there and they had great customer service. Was there for an oil change and the mechanic was able to squeeze me in, and I didn’t have to wait long.

Went in to have my charger looked at because of it over heating. The guy ran an diagnostic test on it said it was water pump and thermostat payed over 700 to fix with over priced labor just wanted my car fixed! Took way too long when stated I had to work at an certain time but arranged to be dropped off at work. Finally they got done close to closing time on an Friday they arent open on weekends so I left car over heated instantly after 1 hour I work 10 mins from shop. Took it back Monday and they ran another diagnostic test then said its my radiator said they didnt notice it before how dont u notice something like that being an mechanic? Then tryed charge me another 800 for just an radiator and labor for My charger I took my vehicle to my own mechanic and it ended up being a coolant fan 😒

This review is coming from the daughter of a mechanic/used car salesman too, so I know the bs that shops can pull but C and J Auto is nothing short of excellent.

I just paid over $900 for a set of white-letter tires......they didnt even bother to clean the tires! I ask about it and was told we just install them, we dont clean them. Really? ....and theyve had my business for years. What a way to treat your customers , guys! So sad.......

Took a chance because they were open on a holiday and Im glad I did. Im pretty particular about what shops I go to because I normally have modded cars. But Steven at C and J was able to help me get an acceptable alignment even though I need additional parts to get it done right due to my car being lowered. So they have earned my business for the foreseeable future.

I’m not from this area but I came to get 2 tires patched and they did a great job. There’s a ton of mechanics right around here so I called around other shops and asked about pricing. Other tire places told me it would be $40 per tire while this shop was charging $18 each. I’m glad I choose this place they were super friendly and explained everything to me in a respectful and professional manner.

No nonsense people. As of right they are taken first come first served walk-ins only. They havent up sold me on things and have never sold me short. If you want a job done right and honestly, I would recommend C and J.

The owner James Coffin in absolutely amazing! My car stalled out off of Morganton and he himself came out to help me with all his equipment so i didn’t have to pay for a tow. I couldn’t have asked for better service and an amazing job. I never plan to go to a different shop again. I’ve been there for every issue since and will always recommend this lovely shop to anyone looking for one.

So why is a person from Colorado writing about a shop in NC? Simple, my kid is stationed near Fayetteville and needed some significant work done on his car. And as he wasnt always available to answer questions (and I was the cars original owner) James called to talk through the repairs needed, and the plan for getting those done. He was professional, knowledgeable, and kind - and really wants happy customers. Seriously, this shop has gone above and beyond for us, and from what I can tell, this is just how they do business.

Took my car due to overheating they did a diagnostic stated its the thermostat which I paid over $400 to fix ,to bring my car back the next day because its doing the same thing , pick my car back up drive it 2 more days started running hot again takes it back they dont know what the issue is but now states it could be the water pump which is over $600 to fix but.not sure thats the problem,Im not going to keep paying for parts and labor and your mechanics making a guess ,I was told to get a second opinion why couldnt your mechanics or management go the extra mile to get a second opinion ,I left with my car having the same issue and out of $400 Im very upset what a horrible experience to go through

James is the man!!!! I do all of my own work on my vehicles and have been doing so for the last 10+ years, I took my Tahoe in for an alignment and James helped me solve an issue I had been battling on one of my lifted suvs. This is the ONLY shop in NC much less Fayetteville that I will ever let put a hand on any of my vehicles, I encourage you to follow the same. James can get you fixed up the right way and in a timely manner do not hesitate to spend your hard earned money with James and the establishment.

I can only say high praises for the receptionist Beverly and Nicole! They were the sweetest and most helpful over the phone. Unfortunately my car needed to be fixed and am new to the area so I found them on google. This auto shop figured out my cars issues and they gave me timely phone calls with updates. They tried to charge me $300 for a battery that worked just fine, they asked us to remove the battery and they never even looked under our hood. Although I do support black own business it is important that we keep high standards and good customer service. You must do better

Great experience. I came in with a flat that needed to be replaced. They didnt have my size in stock, so they picked one up from a warehouse. I was in and out very quickly. Great service here!

Jamie and Nicole helped me out today and they were wonderful! I got an oil change for $22 which was absolutely awesome! They were very quick and while we waited, Jamie played with my kids (ages 4 and 6) and gave them paper and highlighters, played rock paper scissors with my son and talked with my daughter. Its hard being a single mom and trying to have my kids sit still anywhere for longer than 40 seconds so it was awesome that he took the time to talk with them. They were so friendly, affordable, and quick with their work with none of the run around like half the other auto shops asking did you know your car is totaled and we can fix it for $17,000? Just sign this estimate. I am so grateful for their kindness and honest work. I will definitely be coming back!

My first experience was not the best unfortunately! After reading all the great reviews I figured I be very happy with my service.First thing that happened was I called and let the front desk know that I was going to be dropping my car off. I let them know I needed an inspection, motor mounts replaced, and oil change. I asked if I could drop my car off around 5:00 PM that day. They said yes, they do not close until 5:30. (Their website also advertises 5:30 PM) I let my boss know I needed to use some vacation time to leave early to drop my car off for my inspection because it is due this month. Unfortunately I had a change of address and my inspection due date reminder was not sent. I am usually not a last minute type of person.I leave work around 4:25PM I got to their office before 5:00PM. No one is there. Kind of disappointing. I call the office no answer. I wanted to speak face to face with someone about my car because it would of made me feel more comfortable. That was the whole reason I left work early and used vacation time. I understand maybe something last minute came up but not one person was there. And no one called to let me know I needed to come back another day before I left work...Either way, I see a drop off where I can leave my car key and fill out a form of what I need done to my car. I put my registration card inside the packet as well. I check the box for inspection and oil change and also in the notes put I need motor mounts replaced.The pieces for my motor mount did not come in the next day so my car had to stay once again over night. Making arrangements for someone to drop me and son off at daycare (and pick us both back up) was a pain! Not the companies fault at all and I am not implying that.So the next day I call and ask the update on my car and when will it be ready. She lets me know my car is ready and I ask for my total. She gives me the total and it seemed a little low for just motor mounts replaced, plus inspection, plus oil change. So I asked if they completed my inspection and oil change. She said no they did not. I asked her why my inspection was not done since that was the main reason I took my car in. It is also due this month and I really needed it done. She said I had to drive my vehicle 50-100 (or so) miles before I could get it inspected due to the battery being cut off to put motor mounts on. My response was why wasnt my inspection completed prior to the motor mounts? I am not a tech but I am pretty sure they could of done the inspection FIRST. (If I am wrong then my apologies) but also my oil change was not done. Easy fix but if I would of not asked to make sure then it would not of been done either.My fiance was going to start taking his car to C and J as well after seeing all the reviews. But now after the troubles I had he does not want to. I will not be taking my car back either.UPDATE:Owner did respond to this email and definitely resolved my issue. He went up over and beyond to fix this problem. I have updated my stars from 2 to 5 due to the issue being resolved.

Great customer service. They took the time to explain several different options for tires on my truck, along with quotes for all of them. When it came time to put the tires on my truck, they drove me to my apartment so I didn’t have to wait there while they worked. Bottom line, couldn’t be happier with the professionalism, quality of work, and care for customers that was displayed by this shop. Very strongly recommend them to anyone looking for new tires on their vehicle.

Just a note to all soldiers on Fort Bragg don’t go here they’ll prey on your lack of knowledge and screw you, go anywhere but here, read on if you want to hear my experience.This place is terrible, I listened to the reviews and thought this place would be nice, nope! They tried to charge me $200 for a new radiator when it cost roughly $50 online, I asked if I could bring in my own parts “sure!” They said “but it’ll be $120/hr for labor” (their rate is something like $67/hr if you buy their parts) why the hell would labor charges go up because I brought my own part??? I’ve never had a shop do this, oh and not to mention the fact that they tried to charge me $400 for labor on what they said would only be a two hour job and this is even with me buying their part making their hourly rate lower! Just stay away from this place.

Ladies- look no further, this is the go to place for all of your car needs. I was literally in there three afternoons in a row with my daughter. I only had a small window every day after work to get some things taken care of on both of our cars. I went in on Monday for a flat tire on my highlander. In and out in 30 mins with a $20 tire patch! I was so impressed, I decided to bring my husbands corolla in on Tuesday for an inspection and oil change- in and out in less than an hour around. Wednesday decided to take my husbands corolla again because driving it I realized how bad his brakes were and wanted them to check those- it needed front brake pads and rotors- in and out in an hour. Also note, I did not have appointments and came in all three days after 3pm. The ladies in the front office are wonderful, so welcoming, put on a kids show for my daughter and even printed out a picture for her to color. Prior to coming here I used to go to AAA and would wait for HOURS for any of these type of services. Needless to say, C and J now have my business going forward. I highly recommend them.

PROS:The customer service was good.There were books and TV for kids to be entertained.They returned the old starter for core cash value of $27.00.I went in there only for 2 tires to be replaced, bringing my own, and they did a great job and a good price.CON:They spun my starter to long and it burned out. Initially it was going to be $339.13 but I asked if I could bring my own part and then fix it. They said yes so I bought the starter at the nearest auto parts store. Came back and did not try and negotiate for the labor.The original labor was $115.14 but they added an extra $88.86 when I brought my own part. They told me it was because of a warranty charge. I did not want to argue, especially with my kids there, I just paid the fee and left.Lastly, they offered me a NAPA credit card. Really?Conclusion:I could have paid less in Germany before shipping out. As a new paratrooper here in NC, I will not be doing business with C and J Tire and Auto Shop anymore or recommending it to any of my soldiers. Unfortunately, being new here and with my kids with me I had no other options.

I love this place,my very first time visiting.They are all so humble and its a pleasure having them work on my car. They do not hassle you with high extra fees, or give you a huge run around. I would definitely recommend my family and friends to get great assistance here at this facility! My favorite auto repair shop in all of Fayetteville. They are the only trustworthy mechanics that I have ever come across in the city. They are always accommodating to my family’s needs. Without these mechanics I’m not sure what I would do for car repair! They are military friendly and won’t charge you sky high prices. They are straight forward with the cost and what needs to be done. The office staff are so nice! This place is my go to car repair place!

Amazingly fast service which only took them less than 40 minutes for a oil change and tire rotation versus what the Toyota dealers can do which takes them 2 hours for the same service. Amazing customer service and they dont push unnecessary services that I didnt need unlike other places. Reasonable pricing too. Highly recommended.

I dropped off my car after hours but they had a dropbox with instructions and all so no problem. took them like 2 hours to fix my jeep, new tires and all, i thought its gonna take much longer and would be much more expensive than it was. very pleased with their work and how nice everybody was. also i do feel like they only did what was necessary and nothing more. would definitely take my car there again.

Dishonest and incompetent. They literally dont have the ability to balance an extremely common factory GMC wheel, which came on GM 3/4 & 1 ton pickup trucks from 1999 to 2010 [P.N. 5079]. My tire, specifically, was a 265/75 R16. They told me thered be no wait for them to balance my two front tires, and theyd start working on it right now. They then took my GMC Sierra pickup and parked it behind the shop, where it sat untouched for more than half an hour. After nearly a whole hour passed, they finally came to the waiting room to tell me theyre physically incapable of balancing my two tires, but there would be no charge.I feel this shop was dishonest by telling me thered be no wait, when they knew thered be a substantial wait. I also feel this shop should have adequate tools to balance extremely common, factory GM wheels.

These guys are awesome!! Jennifer at the front desk was so helpful resolving my issue. The part I needed for my car wasnt even being made any more and she went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help me. She looked for the least expensive, fastest way to get everything done that I needed to. Highly recommend!

The folks who answer the phone are knowledgeable and courteous, they understand the simple truth most people are calling to have a problem solved and they work to assist you. The mechanic spoke to me on the phone b4 and after my wheel bearing replacement. He wanted me to know exactly what was needed and what he had fixed. I recommend C and J.ROUND TWOA week later I had an alternator installed and a new battery. The job was quickly well done and for a reasonable price. Only issue I have is I got a new battery with an 84 month warranty, the shop owner Frank told me the warranty is from NAPA auto parts and I can call him if there are any issues, which is great but I am accustomed to also reading the small print details of exactly what is covered in a warranty and that is not available.

The staff is great here, everyone is super nice and takes care of you. James Coffin (one of their mechanics) is awesome, Ive never had an issue when James works on my cars. Him and the rest of the staff explain everything to you so well if something is wrong or if you need some work done. Best service by far in Fayetteville and they dont screw you over, and they love their Military!

I requested quotes for wheel bearings to be replaced on both the front and rear of my vehicle. Instead of just replacing them, an inspection was conducted and it showed that what I needed was not the wheel bearings replaced but tires! The wonderful service and the honesty of the personnel is truly a rare and precious thing! Thanks for making the airplane take off noise go away without breaking my bank account!

Took my Dodge Ram 1500 to them on a Monday morning approx. 0745...within 5-10 min, they called and explained to me what was the problems: Rear main oil Leak, Oil pan leak, Rear Rotors and pads...replaced lug nuts on one rear wheel...and something else with the power steering...picked up truck tuesday approx at 1300..WOW!!! Great price, Great Job, and most importantly excellent customer service. no more oil leaks thanks to C and J (THE PROFESSIONALS)!!! you got my business for life!! thanks again!!

This is by far, the best automotive place I have encounter. Work was done timely and the customer service was exceptional. Everyone I dealt with is extremely courteous. Awesome experience from the 1st call until I was back on the road. This place is now my one and only and is highly recommended.

I spoke with the owner at the counter, when I arrived for my appointment, and he was welcoming and very polite. He helped every customer that came in, and did not get flustered with the large number of customers. He politely requested for the next person in line to wait until he finished the first person in line. The price for a full synthetic oil change is the cheapest I have found.

They provide quick service even when theyre busy and the employees are courteous and respectful.

I am so happy that I went and got my car trouble fixes here. James coffin was very patient with me and told me exactly what I needed for my vehicle. If I wouldnt have went there I would have kept on getting the wrong stuff. And they make sure they have me in and out ready for my day. I will definitely be going to visit them again soon

All the reviews with 5 stars are either fake or are written by people who blindly trust mechanics. This is a shady and unhonest business. I went to C&J a couple times because of their reviews but when I compared my past receipts, I finally figured out that they were slowly increasing their prices constantly for the same services by looking at my past visits. They are inconsistent in giving you proof of wheel alignments performed. I was charged $70 without no wheel alignment diagram like last time. I also asked for a simple favor (removing a stripped bolt from my engine air filter) while getting a state inspection. They said that they would do it and implied a free service but later told me they would charge me and it was going to be about an hours worth of labor (removing a single bolt!) with no guarantees. I refused the service because it seemed fishy. After leaving the place, I took a look at my engine filter to discover that they broke the bolt and I easily unscrewed it with my fingers in 5 seconds. I will never return to this dishonest place again.

These guys are the only people Ive found in town that are honest and do their best to try to save me money when they can. Its hard to find a good mechanic and these guys do great work and are always willing to work with their customers doing nice things like staying late and assuaging my fears over the phone 3 times. I recommend these guys to everyone I know and I do feel like I treated with respect and all of my questions are thoroughly answered by them. No sexist car mechanics here, just honest individuals who take pride in providing soldi reliable work.

Brought in my car for quite a bit of maintenance work. They had it done within a few hours. Gave me a straightforward and simple idea of what they were going to do. They gave me a quote before they started and didnt change the price or add anything to it. Good warranty for parts and labor. Very friendly people who even stayed a few minutes past closing so I could come pick up my car. Ill be coming back for future work.

My daughters car broke down on a Saturday while visiting from Virginia. They came and towed her no questions asked and called us promptly on Monday with news of what needed done. Great staff and very pleasant to deal with. I dealt with then on the phone bc I was in Virginia and they were very accommodating! Thank you!!

Im new to the area and came in a few days ago based on the ratings. I needed an oil change and my brakes looked at. I could not have been more pleased with the experience. They went above and beyond to help me out and get everything done in a timely manner. I would recommend this place to anyone!

I had a REALLY good auto repair experience with this business.Needed to replace a couple tires on my vehicle. Called in for a quote, was given the price, told them Id come in the next day (on a work week).Went in around 9am, vehicle tires were replaced within like half an hour. Didnt have to pay til it was done, and the pricing was fair.The employees were extremely nice (even over the phone) and competent at their jobs.5/5 coming back here if i need something for my car

Amazing!! Jim the owner is fantastic! He is former military and honest. The price was actually lower than what they quoted us, which is unheard of in car repairs. Not only that, they did a fantastic job and the customer service was wonderful! They even helped me with a small repair to our other car which only took a couple minutes to fix. I would highly recommend them. We just moved to the area and we will be taking our cars there until we are re-stationed.

Took my van in because I thought I needed new brake pads...turns out my pads were fine, just had a rock stuck in there or something that caused some grinding. No repairs done, and despite a thorough inspection I walked out paying nothing. Very honest, kind, knowledgeable staff. Its kind of a drive for me, but totally worth it. Highly recommend!

Great place. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. Did good work on my truck and got it done quickly. They just turned into my go-to place for auto work.

Called and spoke with Charles, was nice and courteous. Im a girl and self-admittedly know nothing about cars, he was very polite and informative about the tires I was interested in and took his time to explain things. Gave me a very reasonable quote compared to other places in town that I spoke to.

Genuine People, I’m coming from out of town and noticed I had a flat after parking the car, the shop was 10 minutes closing and I called and they responded immediately patched my tire as soon as I came

Good service. Went in to have a noise diagnosed that I thought was the timing belt tensioner. Ended up being an alternator pulley. Replaced the alternator same day within an hour. Good service.

Everyone here is knowledgable about vehicles and parts, and are wonderful to work with. I know that their inspection is in depth, because they noticed that the spark plugs I had installed two months prior were new. They figured out right away that the issue Ive been having for a couple months was a bent rim, which the other shop I had visited a month prior never mentioned. They compared prices for me, called a few places for me, and ordered a new rim and installed it a few days later. I feel so lucky that I found C and J after moving here recently, especially since I depend on my vehicle so much. They also arrange towing if needed. I will recommend them to anyone who needs work done on their vehicle.

I have been here twice so far and everytime is great service. I went today for an oil change and I had to go back to work, but I was able to leave my car with them and they called me when it was ready for pickup.

I recently moved to Fayetteville and was searching for a good mechanic after my AC broke in my SUV. C and J had great reviews so I immediately called them. They were able to take my vehicle that day and address the problem. The prices were much cheaper than the local Ford dealerships. The service was excellent and staff was super attentive.

If you want AWESOME customer service and GREAT care for your car, this is the place to go!!I have been looking for a long time to find an auto shop in Fayetteville that is everything C and J is!! I visited them this past week after returning from deployment and needed to get my car checked out and the oil changed. They were SUPER friendly from the moment I walked in and made sure everything was taken care of quickly. I ended up having to return the next day for another issue (not one they had caused) and James was very helpful in getting it fixed. He was honest about the potential cost and thorough in checking out the problem to assure that I was not replacing parts needlessly. He also was very honest that this fix did not need to happen today, as it was more of a convenience thing, and he was not pushy and did not try to sell me anything that I was not able to or did not want to fix at the time.Their receptionist is super friendly and she was a pleasure to chat with while I waited. She was obviously knowledgeable not only in the paperwork side, but also with what was going on with each customers cars, which seemed to help things run smoothly.Also, on a small but important note: I felt totally at ease in their waiting room, they have several chairs, a TV to watch (which theyll let you change the channel if you want), wifi access, coffee to drink, a soda machine available (they even offered one to me), and clean rest rooms!!I will definitely be bringing all of my auto repair needs back to C and J Tire and Auto Repair and I recommend everyone else does too!! :DThanks C and J!!!

I agree with all of you. Last month my interior lights were out. I took it to several auto parts/repair stores in the area to ask them to check my fuse box but all told me to wait but the boss man here said hed look at it in 10 minutes. He did and fixed the fuse. I am thinking he is going to charge $40-50 service fee but the guy charged $1.41 for the fuse. i couldnt believe it. Thats a honest service. First time i have been there. i will go back because i know they treat you extremely fair.
