I’m a night owl and I’m always looking for a place to plant down and chat, write, or just enjoy a treat. This place is perfect! Incredibly friendly staff, very clean interior, and delicious selection to choose from. Family friendly with lots of seating and open until 10 PM!

I was very hesitant coming here because of the low reviews on Yelp, but I sure was proven wrong! I hadnt had gelato in a long time too.The inside is cute, and it was pretty calm too. I got a modern kind of farmhouse vibe. I had seen a lot of reviews on Yelp on how the service was bad, but when we were there, the service was pretty good, and our server was pretty nice and sweet.Anyways, the main reason that I was proven wrong was because of the amazing sorbet and gelato!! All of them were super bold in their taste and flavors. I had a chance to try the vanilla, mango, ruby chocolate, and a dark chocolate (I cant recall the actual name).The vanilla was super creamy, probably the softest and creamiest out of all of the ones I tried. It was also very buttery, both in the texture and flavor, it was quite intriguing. The mango was amazingly refreshing, but also quite tart. It really tasted like as if I was biting into a real mango. That was pretty much it for the mango. The ruby chocolate on the other hand was very interesting. I still couldnt distinguish what it reminded me of. I kept finding myself eating it some more trying to figure out what it tasted like. It was more like a milk chocolate, and slightly reminded me of fondant? Finally, the dark chocolate, probably my favorite one of the night, competing with the ruby chocolate. The dark chocolate was insanely rich, and was actually slightly fudgey. It was definetly the thickest, and the most dense. It reminded me a lot of a brownie.Overall, everything was very impressive, and everything I had that night was so luscious and delicious! Ill definetly come back for more, and I cant wait to try some of their new flavors!

We were sitting at home and had a craving for some gelato and this location came up in our search. Coming here was the best decision of the entire day. This is a charming place with some very tasty frozen creations. We each had a different flavor and all of us were extremely satisfied. The gal at the counter was nice and knew the flavors enough to explain the difference in them. Outside is a charming seating area where we were able to sit and enjoy our selected treats. I wish I had taken photos but the Gelato was eaten up too fast! Something that good doesnt last long around this family. We will definitely have to return so that we can try some of the other flavors.

Canarino and Whisky Cream had good texture, flavors were rather muted and one noted (suggesting flavors added from commercial extracts or artificial), if you are expecting bold flavorful gelato one might experience in Europe this product will leave you disappointed. Not worth the calories.A pal had the chocolate peanut butter pretzel and found it rather bland.Wanted to love it, but wont be returning.

I was a regular for quite a while. The ice cream is wonderful. The shop is charming. I went in today hoping to get a scoop and the server refused to serve me unless I wore a mask. I was perfectly okay with complying with this policy while it was state law, but at the moment for fully vaccinated people, there is no law requiring people to wear masks in or outdoors in the state of Washington. Any mask requirement would be enforced on a per business basis, not in accordance to state law. To be clear, the problem was not that I failed to produce evidence of vaccination (I would not be complaining if that was the case.), but rather that the server refused point blank against the scientific guidance of the CDC, and Washington state law. If this is the policy your business wishes to take, that is within your rights. However I will not be returning to your business, or any other business that continues to require face masks for vaccinated customers.

The gelato was a bit too sweet, but the flavors were good.Mango, raspberry, dark chocolate and salted caramel were good. Cappuccino was rather disappointing.The waffle cone was not very good though. It was very thick and didnt have the buttery waffle taste.

This gelato cafe is where its at. Good prices, amazing gelato, friendly and fast service. Theres always a line here because of these things, but it moves pretty quickly and is well worth the wait. Definitely gotta mix some flavors up if you want, the combos can make their gelato go to the next level.

The gelato is good, but the servers are unfriendly. Rather than saying hello, they instead instructed me to stand on my circle, away from other people. Which is absolutely useless because nobody except the employees were wearing masks, the mask mandate has been lifted for the state, and without masks the obsession over distancing compliance is useless.

The prices are unusually high for gelato that is so low quality. My gelato was powdery and bitter; it was clear it was made using copious amounts of cocoa powder. Maybe I picked the wrong flavor but I will not be returning. I’d suggest taking your dessert needs elsewhere.

Its great to have an ice-scream/coffee shop that opens until 10PM everyday in Edmonds. The chandeliers are beautiful. The barista is super friendly and full of energy.

Nice gelato parlor... locally made...tried their stracciatella (mix vanilla w/ chocolate shavings)... it was pretty good. Seating Inside as well as outside...

Delicious gelato! One of my favorite places to go, especially since theyre always on Groupon! However, when I got my espresso it was filled with coffee grounds. I tried to ask for a new one, but she said thats how it is. Despite my moms espresso being fine.

Yum! My kids absolutely loved it. Bubblegum and Nutella favors were fabulous and not overly sweet, but for my money the Salted Carmel is IT.

Employee wasnt wearing her mask over her nose last evening (7/16) around 8:30pm when we wanted to get some gelato. Several teenage customers were also there with their masks down around their necks instead of over their faces, so we decided to skip getting anything there and left. The owner needs to emphasize the importance of health safety to this employee.

Really good Gelato. Attentive friendly service from 2 young women. Great location in Edmonds. I would give 5 stars but they need to warm up their interior space, which is very large compared to the Gelato bar.

This is one of my all-time favorite places. Very hard to find gelato, let alone authentic gelato. Im Italian and can vouch that this is the real deal made right. They also change up the flavors so you get something new, which I enjoy. This is worth the drive to Edmonds if you ask me. Also, prices are very reasonable. I just wish they got compostable cups to help the environment. All the cups go to trash.

A comfortable and relaxing place to chill with a cold treat.

We drove about 90 minutes to get to the Canarino cafe just for a fun exploration trip. What we found is an absolute diamond. When considering the time for the round trip, and the ferry costs, this is STILL worth every penny, and has become a planned event for our family. Emma, our server, was awesome with our son, who is on the spectrum, and handled his concerns and requests with aplomb. Most of you are wondering how was the gelato, well, in a word ... phenominal! This self admitted fat kid can die happy now. I tried a total of 6 different flavors, 4 scoops of my own, and a sample of the 2 that my wife had, and every single one made me make involuntary noises about how good it was. Bottom line, its worth the trip, hands down. There are even other restaurants near by if you want to do something silly like have a meal first.

Expected a lot more from this place. We had gelato there last year and it was much better. Now it was way too sweet and watery - underwhelming and disappointing to say the least

Not recommended here.The amount of the ice cream was different with the previous customer. I ordered 2 scoops but it was the same size with the one scoop.And the coffee was not a full cup.

The customer service was great and the few flavors I tried (Heath & Coffee) were good. The prices were super reasonable (especially compared to say molly moon). The only thin that kept it from 5 stars (& I actually wish I could give it 4.5) is that I felt it could have been creamier. At times while eating it, I tasted ice crystals and it just wasnt as creamy as I was hoping. But really, I would go again and bring the kids!

I am a regular here at canarino and I always have the best experiences! All employees were wearing masks and gloves and they all really portrayed health safety! They even gave customers masks who didn’t have one. They also now control the iPad transactions instead of letting customers touch the screen, making me feel more safe and clean. I overheard a customer complaining about the employee asking if she “would like to add a tip” politely which the employee now has to do because they don’t want customers touching the iPad which I think is amazing especially with COVID and should not be complained about. I highly recommend this place!

The staff DID NOT wear masks!!!Upon our arrival all of us were wearing masks, including the two girls who were behind the counter working. (We were the only customers who opted to dine inside.) Soon after we sat to enjoy our gelato my daughter pointed out that they weren’t wearing gloves. I explained safe food handling practices and told them not to worry, UNTIL I saw both girls remove their masks while talking to each other as they continued to handle counter organizing and chat. I then saw one girl take a sample spoon and grab a sample of gelato and eat it herself. While e were there, I saw them move around the counter and space very freely unmasked. As you may guess, it made me feel uncomfortable and I found it very hard to trust their hygiene practices as a business establishment and we decided to leave. As we were leaving, another family entered, one gal behind the counter opted to put her mask back on and serve them, (not washing hands, and this was the gal who had eaten a sample) while the other went into the back room to avoid having to put her mask back on I imagine. - Such a shame as it was a beautiful sunny afternoon in Edmonds and outside everyone was respecting physical distances and wearing masks. It was very disheartening to see this happen at a business in Edmonds that catered to so many others today. Obviously we won’t be back to this place ever again and I thought it was was VERY important for others in the community to know of their very unsafe practices and lack of care for the community and patrons.

Gelato is pure happiness in either a cone or a bowl. Canario is the place for pure happiness, although I could opt for a bucket, were one available! A great selection of flavors made on the premises and served by a staff who has always been friendly (as observed over the course of many visits).

Fantastic range of flavors and even have affogato- Gelato with shots of espresso. Just delicious.

This was our second time here. First time, the line was out the door and there werent many flavors left. Tonight there werent as many people in line but they were still out of many flavors. I guess we need to come during the day instead of after dinner!!They dont have air conditioning so it was very hot inside, but if you dont mind taking your gelato to go, its not a big deal (unless you get stuck in a long line)!I had the chocolate but wish I had gotten the lemon. Chocolate didnt have much flavor for some reason. And my husband said the same thing about the vanilla. Next time!

They were out of my favorite but it was still pretty good. I had white chocolate and Heath Bar. Not nearly as good as my usual toffee. They had been unusually busy the wknd I went. Due to so many people coming they were out of many of their usual flavors.

Clean and quiet with comfortable chairs and actually warm inside, which seems to be hard to find in the Seattle area. I like to visit this shop when I am looking for somewhere to read a book in a less busy environment. The gelato is good (but not exceptional), the coffee is also fairly good (but I wish they had for here cups); largely I visit for the ambiance.

The ice cream is good but its 4.09 for the one scoop 🤧

Stopped going there in August because they werent enforcing masks. Hopefully this has changed.

We have really watch the quality and service here go downhill drastically. Options and selection have gone down. Vibrancy and flavors are just ok, definitely nothing special. Staff are young girls with no manners and quite rude. Nice space but kept so incredibly hot a person cannot stand to sit and enjoy their order. Unfortunately this was a go to place for us, we wont be returning

I have been here numerous times and have always been impressed with the vast array of flavors and types of gelato. They have changing flavors seemingly day to day, and all of them are delicious! If you are in the area, give this place a shot!

The only employee was a teenager who was more interested in her boyfriend than waiting on 3 customers. She did offer free samples when I was uncertain about what flavor I wanted. The atmosphere was pleasant and warm.

Gelato was alright but customer service was terrible!!! We showed up half hour before closing, a fair time to show up at an ice cream shop. We were the only people in there (besides what looked like the servers boyfriend) and she seemed annoyed that we showed up as paying customers. Almost as if we should have been apologetic for being there. Not eating this cone with a smile on our face. Also, straccitella was not being served. What?!

Absolutely fabulous lattes and gelatos. They have Vegan options which are absolutely delicious. The employees are very friendly and the atmosphere is very inviting.
