As soon as i came in, i wasn’t even greeted with a hello or anything, i was told to go outside since i did not have a face covering, as someone who works in customer service, this is not how it’s supposed to work, they’re supposed to say welcome in and then say “we require face coverings” but never straight off the bat, so very unprofessional. As i said sorry and backed out, i saw two lady’s inside shopping with no face coverings and pointed them out and the lady laughed, i got a bandana and came back inside, to then fine her and this little girl who seems way to young to be working laughing at me.just Unprofessional.

I had an urgent hair care need as I was in the area for an event. Bad hair day you can call it. I was staying at a very nearby hotel close to the Galleria Mall (the mall didnt have anything to suit my skin color)and my GPS took me here as I wanted a store super close to the hotel. The neighborhood is not the best but I was able to get what I needed. The shop is somewhat on the small side compared to other stores Ive been to that supply hair care products, but theyre fully packed with wigs, braids, weaves, oils, conditioners......you name it.The person who assisted me was super nice and knowledgeable; I wish Id remember her name for a shout out but I know shes African. Beautiful accent and amazing service. Regardless, Ill be back if Im in the area again.Please note: because its covid time, they require that you wear a mask, which I dont have an issue with. A few people who came in with no mask were asked to go get one and they didnt have a problem with getting a mask to protect themselves and others around them.

The mánager and team work was worse and dont accept they mistakes and pretend to scare hispanic people saying I will call the police... when they make a mistake, and make sure before you leave the place check the merchandise, because they take advantage if not and use they policy to no accept return either when they gave you the wrong merchandise !!! Any complaints you can report to BBB (Better Buissnes BUREAU) !!!

I love Miss Kinny. Shes my favorite person in there! Always extremely helpful and professional. The owner is amazing as well. I get great hair here for reasonable prices. Theyre always putting hair on sale!

I sat there with them on the phone stating that I had open the package and I spent $104. And they advised me with the wrong size because I have never done this before. I drove 40 minutes out of my way to come back down to the store where they said I could exchange it and they didn’t do anything about it and I am stuck with these extensions that don’t fit and I’m out my money

Extremely inconsistent in the products they carry.

My daughter wanted “braids” (locs 😂) so she can look like Dad and they have the perfect goddess locs for her style & age (almost 8.) SN: I went to 6 beauty supply locations & could not find “Bae Locs” in 12” for my hair but they have them!

I came to return 2 items I had bought before pandemic of Covid 19. The 2 items I bought was the wrong items. The items werent used nor open. I could not return them because the store closed during the pandemic. Since the store reopened I came to exchanged the items for the correct items. The clerk tells me that they cant exchange the items. Its not my fault that the store closed during this time. Ive been a customer for years. I am now no longer a customer.

Awesome assortment of makeup products. I only purchase my lip gloss, lip liner and eye liner from this store. They have so many different shades of concealers and eye brow pencils, pomades a d powders. I love it. Perfect place to test makeup products for cheap before you go spend a million anywhere else

I usually go into Beauty R Us on Montfort and get decent service. I’ve noticed the quality has gone down with their products and I still tried to give them the benefit of doubt. I am a published Author so my appearance is important to me. However, I have never been met with such disrespect as the service as today. They treat their customers as if we are doing something wrong and as if we should not be in their store. So, after being left waiting with no assistance I told them I was going to write a review online and warn people about the type of treatment they give. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME NOR MONEY going into this store! You will be met with regard and disrespect and no service.

The prices are a little high and the selection is a little short but for the neighborhood it is good. It could be done better. The inventory is consistent with a bad shop in a mostly not white community. This community is mostly white but this shop doesnt take advantage of that. The staff is very nice and it is closer than nothing until a better shop moves in.

Today I was racially profiled at this store! Not even being in the store five minutes, I was falsely accused of stealing their product! I let them know that I would happily call the police to sort these things out, but they suddenly realized that I did no wrong and no stealing after they made a scene. I will never go here again, they made me feel so uncomfortable!

Lots of variety of goods specialty items. I asked fir 2 sewin needles cashier said they come in 4 i asked how much she said 1.99 i said ok. BOI when I got to my stylist she said i needed 2 needles i told her the story. I was upset..not only did i not get 2 as needed but darn sure did not get 4 she quoted. I didnt think to check because i just stopped because stylist was busy and gave me the cash to get them. Theres more a different story later that was enuf for me even remembering it.

The prices are crazy high.The owner has a back to school sell right now (August 2019). Buy one get one free. When I took the item up to the register the price of one bag of extensions was $36.99 then you get the second for free. Someone needs to open up a new store nearby that is not so expensive.

Its good considering there arent any other supply stores nearby. Its rather small and compact which doesnt allow for much maneuvering with more than 2 people in the aisle. Prices are a bit elevated and the hair selection is limited.

Wide variety of items! Prices are pretty reasonable. Poor customer service. Do Not go here if you need any help or you are uncertain about what you need/want. If you know your products, weaves, wigs, makeup etc... Then definitely pop in.

Extremely rude. Ive spent a couple hundred dollars here on human hair wigs. The woman who usually works the wig room was always very kind and very polite. I came in one afternoon and picked out a wig(with her) and planned to return the next day after I removed my box braids. When I returned the next day, I had all braids removed except the ones along my very outer edges. The male cashier refused to take me back to the room and insisted I was lying and told he could clearly see that I had very large braids in. I explained that it was poofy because most of the braids were out and my natural is very big. He still refused to let me look at the wig I had already picked out to buy the next day. I’ve been a loyal customer since I moved here but will now be looking for a new beauty supplier.

I love the customer service that I receive every time I’m in here. I will say I feel that their selection is a bit limited compared to other beauty supply stores I’ve gone to in the past, but I think the inflated prices are a pretty common thing in beauty supply stores now. It’s not like it was back in the day. But with that being said, I still shop here regularly and never feel unwelcome in this store.

Theres not many beauty supply stores for African Americans in my neighborhood, so to have Beauty R Us in my area is such a great convenience and the people that own it and their employees are always super nice and helpful.

I love this place. They always accommodate me when I come into town. Prior to moving out of state, I traveled from East Texas to go there. Now, I travel from out of state to get all my extension needs met.

This is my go to place... I live in Frisco and I travel all the way here and they always have what I need and if they dont they always accommodate... I usually come early so the service is exceptional.. Appreciate them.

I was in there 20 mins before closing and was looking for hair but being that it was closing I was being rushed even when I came to the counter I had some questions but the workers was like we closing so hey I left. This place is very welcoming of my service animal and thats I have not faced discrimination coming inside of the store this beauty supply store is pretty expensive but I only go there for bonnets, brush and a few oils from time to time I do most of my shopping at sassys beauty supply storeo either I will take a trip all the way to Jennys beauty supply store in Dallas since I use wen hair products I really dont spend a lot of money at beauty supply stores but from time to time I do need to get my oils and aphogee but the reason why Im not writing this place that great is because if you call there and ask if they have a certain product they cant even tell you how much it is over the phone which is stupid

Shopped here many times in the past but today was the first time that I actually felt very disrespected by the lack of cooperation and lack of customer service conveyed by the Male worker in this store. I have never seen or worked with him before but the way he spoke to me and his hesitation in being willing to accommodate me (allowing me to see the hair, answering my questions with a kind tone of voice, etc) is completely ridiculous. Then to make matters worse, when he asked to see my ID he stared at it for several minutes like it was in a foreign language. Last time I checked, this is America so being able to read a simple name like mine and compare it to my credit card does not merit all of that drama that he gave. Then I told him, Im a doctor, I dont steal and i shop here all the time. Its ridiculous that I got placed in a situation where I didnt feel like the valued customer that I am. If he has trust issues that extensive about my method of payment, then maybe I should also have trust issues with the products and hair that he sells. Absolutely ridiculous. I have shopped here for years and still travel from my beautiful suburban home to this ghetto market place to support this business because I have been treated well in the past. Well, not this time...because of this man, this time, may very well be the last time they have my patronage!

Terrible customer service. I went there last week to buy a weave as a present for someone, and the staff said I can actually exchange it for another one if the person doesnt like it, as long as I have a receipt, but no returns. To my surprise when I went back today, they said no exchange or returns as a store policy, and the person that sold it to me got fired. They are so rude and dont care about clients point of view.

This place was just okay. A little disorganized too. The isles are very cramped and a lot of the products are lined up on the floor because there is no shelf space. Theres product everywhere! I feel like a long - tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs!!! 😂 My eyes dot all over the place because theres literally stuff all the way to the ceiling behind the checkout counter. I would hate to be the one to do inventory and goodness, I hope theres NEVER a fire. Please get a larger space.
