This morning I was taking a cruise and my bike literally broke at their front door step at 10am and they dont open till noon on Saturdays but Lucas saw me outside waiting and brought me in after examining the broken axle I believe is what he said. I ended up grabbing a coffee across the street and waited only 20-30 minutes before they finished the repair. They also have a great selection of products on top of their outstanding customer service.

Seldon was amazing! I went to Montgomery to get a tire fix, as well as just a general check. He took time to look at my gears and chain, etc. In addition instead of insisting I buy a new bike, he was honest in I should not invest a ton of money on repairs. Thank you for your time and attention. Much appreciated!

I keep coming back here because the customer service is great. Knowledgeable staff who are always willing to answer your questions and teach you about bike maintenance, parts, and upgrades.

Purchased two bikes last year. One of the bikes was assembled wrong and the brake disk was making contact. They argued that it is supposed to be like that for some time. However, the second one never had that problem and neither has any of the bikes I’ve ever had. They were evidently avoiding to take the time to set them right, which degrades the system, but that is not their problem.Yesterday I picked them up after the warranty maintenance. They returned the first one with the brakes in worse shape than before. After waiting almost half an hour, they returned the second one (this one was fine), but only after asking twice about the delay and being rudely dismissed. I had to wait further until they finally fixed the brakes of the first one.Both bikes were returned completely dirty, even though their cheapest service allegedly includes a frame cleanup.I rarely make reviews for places but every time I have to deal with this Cannondale monopoly I have bad experience, after bad experience, after worse experience - for the past three years. Rudest staff I have to deal with for any reason in this city.

First time in this store. I am glad I stopped in. Customer service was outstanding. The gentleman listened to my needs and fixed my problem. I am satisfied. Well done Montgomery Cyclery.

We checked out the Montgomery Cyclery website and saw they were located beside the Loveland Bike Trail and they advertised that they rented bikes. With the family having been self-isolated for months, we decided to take the family biking! My wife, children, and I were very excited. We checked Montgomery Cyclery hours and rates, packed lunches, and loaded the kids in the car. It was nearly an hour drive. We were disappointed to find that Montgomery Cyclery was not renting bikes due to COVID. Theyve had over half a year to update their website. I suppose we should have called but we didnt expect a business that is so well known and respected to have neglected to update their offered services on their site for 7 months. So, no biking. We went to a local park instead.

Very exceptional service with a smile..wouldnt dream of going anywhere else for my cycling needs! 😁

Great experience bought my new mountain bike here last summer. Salesperson was nice to work with and let me ride the bike around Montgomery for almost an hour before I made the decision it was right for me and purchased it. It was a “demo” bike that the occasionally let people rent out for trail days, but I got a good deal on it and couldn’t pass it up!

Christ was awesome with his knowledge of bicycles in the showroom. Test rode a bike.

Anytime I am at Montgomery everyone is helpful and chipper! I bought my Lefty there almost 5 years ago and have had my 24 year old Mongoose Rockadile serviced there as well as turning it into more of a road bike this year. They always steer me in the right direction. Pun fully intended :)

Prior to leaving on a 3 week journey my husband took my bike to Montgomery Cyclery to repair tires. The tires/tubes were replaced, and my husband brought my bike home and we loaded them on our bike rack for a long (over 1,000 m.) trip. The next day the back tire was flat. He ran it back up to Montgomery Cyclery for a repair - and they charged him an extra $22 for that inner tube repair.Fast forward a week later and were in Northern Minnesota getting ready to ride our bikes, and the back tire is again flat. We brought it to a bike shop in Bimidji, MN and were told the inner tube that was replaced looked used - cost to repair $25. - the repair shop said it had striations on the tube and that indicated prior use. Fast forward another 2 weeks and we went to Montgomery Cyclery with our complaint - expecting our money back.What my husband got instead was attitude from the manager as if he would ever stoop so low as to install a used inner tube. He did refund our original $22 for the used inner tube - no apologies for our inconvenience, no apology for time/energy spent finding a bike shop out in the middle of nowhere , nothing but attitude. DONT GO HERE - IVE FOUND BISHOPS IN MILFORD TO BE MUCH MORE REPONSIVE TO CUSTOMERS NEEDS.Stephanie L

Submitting one star due to the most difficult ordering system. I was in search for a seat cover for my bike and instantly thought “Montgomery Cyclery!” Got online, browsed a few brands, and found one I liked, put it in my cart and checked out. Whole process seamed easy enough. My wife stopped by the store to pickup for me and was told didn’t have my product. I sent her the email with order number...still no dice. Sales person grabbed another one (different than what I ordered) stated this is what they had. Not 100% satisfied but was told it was the same product and had the same price. Fair enough. Next, my wife was told she would have to purchase the new cover Bc my order couldn’t be canceled in store, that I would need to contact store owner for a refund. This is completely backwards and a HUGE waste of my wife and I’s time and ultimately money. I WILL not spend my money here again, nor recommend anyone else as well. Honestly that’s tough to say due the many bikes and repairs etc my parents and I have acquired over the 30+ years.

Stopped at Loveland shop to get chain grease a few weeks ago & mechanic wouldn’t charge me nor would he accept a tip. Very impressed with customer service!!! Will definitely go back for further service and purchases. Thank you !

I had many questions. I received answers to them all. At first I thought I would be looked strangely by some of my questions. Mr. David made it clear to me and my family the style that was best for the height of the members of the family in getting a bike. Proper gear is important. I wasnt just a customer of the street. I felt as if the staff was making sure that we were clear about the product, and courteous. Thank you.

Went in to purchase a new bike. I knew it would not be in stock but the salesperson was very rude and would not listen to me. Bottom line he wanted me to order the $4400 bike sight unseen. No other bikes available of that sizing to check fit or geometry. I can see why most riders I know say to avoid this store like the plague. I will never return.

This store tried to gouge me on a service job and then proceeded to tell me that they didnt need my business when I questioned why they were trying to add extra services I didnt ask for.

Looked for a new cruiser bike. Joe was great to work with, let me ride 3 different bikes until I found the right one. Very knowledgeable and helpful

Disappointed. I bought my first new bike in 30 years this week. When I got home I was disappointed to find out the drop post lever was loose, both tires had less than 5psi. in them, and the rear shock would almost bottom when I sat on it. I had no idea that the tire valves were different. Luckily a friend had a compatible pump. I was able to get enough air in the shock using an air compressor so I could at least play a little. Glad I didnt pay for the extended service contract.

I have to say YOU GUYS ROCK! I brought my new to me Cannondale R200 bike in to see what was going on with the brake cable and to get new cleats and shoes for the pedals. These guys hooked me up on the shoes, and pedals, fixed the brake cable issue and gave it a good look over to make sure there was nothing wrong with the bike all in under an hour! This is not the first time Ive gotten great customer service from you guys either. Thanks a lot for the help, advice, and service!!! You got a customer for life!

So far this store has been way better to work with than the Loveland location. I would go to this location for most bike needs.

After hitting my child’s bike this week with a minivan, I visited the West Chester location of Montgomery Cyclery for the first time. I am really glad I chose to go there. The staff was informative and friendly (Especially Matt). They attempted to repair as much as possible, and explained the necessary replacement parts. We got the bike home before she even returned from school that day! They quickly fixed a stressful situation, her bike looked as good as new. I’m extremely grateful Montgomery Cyclery was so helpful!!

Start off with over the years have spent about $8,000 dollars here . So after not ridding for 3 years went to restock on some gear. Spent about about $175 dollars there. They didnt seem to want to help or even know about the products.After a few weeks decided I wanted to carry more on my ride so wanting to stay loyal I went back there. This time they wouldnt help at all and kept saying just bring the bike in. Not friendly at all. After 10 minutes of this told them I could get more help online and cheaper , they said go ahead . Made no effort to help or get my business .Left there drove down the road to the Trek store They had me outfitted and out the door in 10 minutes. Answered every question I had and was happy to do so. Spent $275 there , wont be going back to Montgomery Cyclery again.

I took my bike in for some serious repairs and they were super helpful. They finished the repairs in in only two days and returned my bike in top condition.

Have bought bikes here for years. Always very happy.

THANK YOU TO DON!I stopped in at the West Chester Montgomery Cyclery store and spoke to Don about a problem with my special-needs daughters adaptive, tandem bike (custom made (several years ago) by a company called Freedom Concepts in Canada). Freedom Concepts designs and builds a full line of special needs bicycles and mobility devices. My daughters bike had become unrideable, and was in need of repair. I emailed pictures of the bike to Don, and he said that he could certainly try to repair it. I was extremely impressed with Dons vast knowledge about the mechanics of bicycles.Don worked on it (along with some other employees). He reported that the repairs were difficult and it was not possible to get it repaired 100%, but that it was much better and now ride-able! Don personally came to deliver the bike back to us. My handicapped daughter and I rode it around for about 30 minutes (for the first time in 2 years)! She was extremely excited, delighted, and filled with joy at being able to finally ride that bike again! The smile on her face was priceless; and needless to say, overjoyed me! Her happy, smiling face shows her pride when out riding - especially when the many people we see actually say things like, Nice bike or Wow, look at that bike. My daughter does have difficulty speaking, but when people take notice of her on her special bike, you can tell that she is thinking Yeah, look at me! Now we can ride and enjoy the outdoors again on her repaired tandem bike. To be able to experience the thrill, exhilaration, and simple joy of riding a bike is so refreshing!I sincerely appreciate all of the effort that Don and the team at Montgomery Cyclery put forth. Brought my Bike there to get my shock serviced and they told me they needed to send it out to get it serviced and it would be $120. so I agreed to the $120 charge for the shock and even agreed to the $55 charge to replace a broken spoke. 5 days later they call me and tell me that I would have to pay 35 dollars each way for shipping! Thats insane! Why would I pay for you guys to ship it after I already am going to pay someone else to service my shock? No one told me that while I was there I would of packed my bike back up and went somewhere else. The service man on the phone was very rude and seems like he didnt care that I wasnt happy about not being told this while I was in the store staring at them in the face. Looks like ill be taking my business elsewhere!

Looking for my 1st bike, didnt get very good service. The staff didnt keep the bikes well adjusted and all the bikes i rode had terrible shifting (although they were lower end bikes). werent really helpful to make a decision on what to buy
