Love this place! With its high brick walls and long entrance, it has wooden stairs leading to a second floor and plenty of windows for natural light. It also offers breakfast/lunch options besides coffee like tacos and pastries. It is quiet and people can be found working on their laptop for hours disturbed.

I met a friend there who was on campus for coffee and a chat. Nice atmosphere, fast service for his busy they were, good iced coffee. We sat outside which was nice but the interior had a great vibe if it hadn’t been so full. I did not attempt to park nearby.

An extremely cool cafe within ample space, great coffee brews, tea and beer! High ceilings, exposed bricks, lots of light, smart-studious-hip crowd —- gets you relax and/or inspired.

Whenever Im in Austin, I try to stop by this place for some excellent coffee, lattes, and snacks. Try the excellent matcha latte for something unique. They also have a variety of dairy-free options, such as oat milk.

I am lucky because whenever Im in Austin, I would be next door to this cafe. Coffee is amazing, and they have a variety of dairy-free options, such as oat or almond milk. If you like coffee and you are in Austin, this is the place to go. It is also super friendly and perfect for a short break. Usually full of students from the close by university.

This is a nice place to have a good conversation with a friend if you find yourself near UT and the ambience and atmosphere are very inviting and friendly. I would definitely come back!

Not only is this a super chill place to have a magnificent cup of anything, but the location is just great. You can walk there from UT in minutes and its really not that far from downtown either, if youre up for it.The soundtrack here is always ace. Ive been astonished year on year when visiting at how lovely the musical selection is.Havent been disappointed by drink nor by treat and I cant wait to visit again.

This is a convenient coffee shop located right next to The University of Texas at Austin campus. The coffee is average and pretty over-priced. The WiFi connection is pretty good though, so I recommend this place for studying!

While visiting Austin I went to Medici on a recommendation from a friend. The service was great and the coffee was even better. It was smooth and flavorful, not bitter or burnt at all. They really know how to treat coffee. I was also impressed that the experience was the same at two different locations. Great job Caffé Medici.

I normally like Medici but this location is lacking in customer service. Especially the barista Sam who is rude and condescending. In a city full of great coffee, youd think you would train your team to be a little more professional.

I stopped in on a relatively busy school day. Im legally blind, so I requested a paper menu which I was told they did not have. However, the employee kindly offered to read me the menu board on the wall, which was really nice and accommodating. I wish I had been able to order myself and all, but Im glad I was still helped and without any fuss as well.

Pretty standard coffee shop. Its main appeal -- at least to me and other UT students Id imagine -- is that its close to campus and easily accessible during school hours. Coffee is fine, pastries are good but nothing extraordinary. Prices could stand to be lower but when youre working on a project and need a comfy place close to campus this is a great spot. Only criticisms I feel are worth mentioning are the prices (slightly high), the closing time (10pm), and the lack of outlets (my laptop is somehow always dead before I come here). Itd be great if they could stay open later, or throw a couple extension cords in the outlets upstairs, but other than that, its a good, cozy little place.

My cortado was fantastic. Temperature was perfect for consumption right as I got the drink. Milk was perfect 👌

The staff seem happy to let you hang out and work on a laptop, so long as youve bought a coffee or food.Its nicely cool inside, with a few outdoor seats at the front.Espresso was okay. Either over-extracted or the water was too hot, making it bitter.

Cafe Medici really emulates the Italian cafe experience. The quality and taste of the espresso and cappuccino is superb. Great place to study and enjoy an espresso with a pastry. What is unique of Medici is unlike typical American cafes, they serve sparkling water with the espresso to cleanse the palate as is traditional in Italy. For Austin, this cafe deserves a 5 out of 5!

For whatever reason, with as hip as it is, Austin can be a hard spot to find a decent cup of third-wave. Look no further -- and plus, the staff here is awesome. Great spot to get some work done (and the people watching can be interesting)

Excellent place to study, take a tea and focus in the activities. This is a regular place for UT students. The nice staff provides a superior service, compared with another places in this area.

This place is remotely so rude. kicking students out for no reason at ALL. I came here to study and witnessed two guys that apparently run the shop kick 4 students out for no apparent reason who were minding their own business and studying. Their reason was im the manager and do as I please and will call the cops. Highly bothered me and a few others that caused this massive scene. Everyone was so confused because the students that were kicked out had no idea what they were doing wrong( nothing) and wanted a valid reason. And after that, the two manager bribed others that catched on with free drinks on the house because they witnessed it. Horrible service and very very rude. Do better.

This place is nice for studying. Usually the staff is hit or miss. Lol there are some rude cashiers. The place can also be super busy during the school time. But good coffee and nice tables.

Really nice place to come study, they even play study session playlists. If you come here expect to see many students on their laptops and with books. Really nice atmosphere. They have two floors and the second floor is super cute with a library style on the walls. I only gave it 4 stars because the coffee was ok and not exceptional. Friendly staff!

2 story coffeehouse!! The live comedy nights here are fantastic. Theyre in the upstairs part, so the coffee shop noises dont get in the way. In terms of espresso drinks, they are well made, and delicious. I recommend stopping by if youre near West Campus and the Drag area! This area is getting gentrified, too, so its not all bad!!

So far so good! Only been in summer when the crowds are out of town and I can grab a seat with a great people watching view. Coffee and bagel options are solid! Keep showing up too late, though, to get my hands on those Taco Deli breakfast tacos.

Super packed with students but still nice. Possibly the biggest coffee shop I’ve ever been in. The baristas were very nice (even though I was indecisive and annoying) and got my order out quickly. It can be a little loud if you’re planning on studying just due to the number of people. I got a dirty chai and it was pretty good. Not cheap but sizes are big and it seems quality.

Its pretty loud in here because it is very busy. It seems like a good place to meet people or to spend time with friends. The drinks are good, made quickly and reasonably priced. The service is okay, but I wouldnt say that they are cheery. Finding a seat can be a challenge at times.

The hot chocolate is expensive ($4.75 + tax for a small) and its not very good. It tastes like warm milk, nothing but a slight hint (and I mean the slighted) of chocolate can be tasted.

Overpriced tacos, especially for the size. But good tacos nonetheless. They also were out of every taco I wanted when I went there so that was also not cool with me. However, there is free WiFi and plenty of seating so you usually dont have to fight for a seat. Have yet to try their coffee but I have heard its good.

This is a very nice place to catch up with a friend, study or go on a date. It also has a nice, full bodied espresso and decent pastries.The one thing that brings it down to two stars for me is the poor service. The cashiers never welcome you or even acknowledge you. You state your order, they charge you and not even a thank you is muttered. They have an attitude that it seems theyre doing you a favor by letting you be in the shop.Ive given them a shot several times and every single time I come out feeling stupid.Because of this, I no longer go there nor do I recommend it to my friends. There are several other nice coffee shops nearby that have much nicer and better service than Medici.

Ive been coming to this place to study for years, since freshman year. They have really good lattes. Overall, good atmosphere, really good beverages (a bit pricey) and a great place to study.

Honestly, it was one of the worst services I have ever received. The cashier looked at me like he didnt want me there. He didnt even tell us that our order was out on the other side and just stared. But the place, coffee and pastries, are good. I hope they put more friendly people out there.

I wish I had a cafe like this near my school. Great seating and wifi, though outlets are a little scarce comparatively. Coffee is brewed to order and pretty good, as is the espresso. Good music playing, and the view + daylight on the second floor is really nice in the afternoon.

Good coffee and attentive staff. Can sometimes get a little packed but remember that theres also seating upstairs. You dont have to stick to espresso or espresso based drinks, take a look at the other coffees they have.

The cappachino is really good however the cup size are pretty small for the steep price.The baked goods are awful except maybe the muffins and Danish pastry. Scones are dry and super flakey with no flavor huge regret buying that. You end up with stale or undercooked pastries.Summary. Go for the coffee (especially cappachino) skip everything else.

Large, open multi-area split level space. They dont accept Android Pay yet! Do accept credit card payments with Square. I sought shelter from a pop up storm in the Cafe Medici on the Drag and was greeted with warmth from both the staff and the coffee. This place is decorated in a sleek minimalist style accented with brushed steel and dark hardwood accents with a little nod to the Spartan; however, dont let the post-modern feel run you off because it is indeed a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Macha latter is perfect， but people are lazy there. They dont care about your time and rush. Still play the mobile phone when you are in the hurry

Its pretty large with a lot of seating. There arent a ton of available outlets, especially for those not against a wall. The drinks are pricey, and even the drip coffee isnt cheap. The music is also pretty loud but I did like the wooded interior and atmosphere.

I was in Austin for a one-week conference and I was given no work space. This café was a very good alternative. They offer wi-fi and most tables sit right next to a power socket. You just grab yourself a coffee (or a tea, or a hot chocolate...) and get to work. Too bad during the conference they were having holiday hours, so Id have to leave earlier than I hoped.

This place performed below my expectations. Not only were they lacking markers to identify where to order the hot cocoa was bland and according to my friends tasted “watered down”. Apparently cafe Medici has mastered creating “tootsie roll juice”. Not a fan.

Overpriced coffee, poor snack selection, very little parking, moderately friendly staff, but lots of seating available. Probably not the best place to meet your boss for coffee , but a good place for students that dont mind paying $5 for a prepared drink. Tea and drip coffee are avaialable, and probably the only affordable items in this place.

Their baristas are fantastic, theyve got great food, and a very pleasant atmosphere. Ideal spot to do some work/studying.
