A fine place to refill propane tanks by the liter. The employee who filled us up was pretty angry, like we were bothering him or something. Huffed, shook his head with distaste, refused to even make eye contact. Good thing we were only making a brief stop.

Pathetic service!! I dont understand why reservations are made then when you go pick up what you reserve it has been given to someone else or not available the phones are never answered, always sent to outside customer service in who knows where. Do not recommend!

Dan Sommers and his crew are all great and very helpful. He even suggested a couple awesome restaurants!

I came to get propane tanks filled and I have been waiting 25 minutes. Apparently there is only one guy here that can do anything. What’s the point of having 4 employees working when 3 can only do one part of your business. Complete mismanagement! I would go somewhere else before I come back!

Horrible service and waste of tie driving into two for this treatment. Got in line to get our propane tanks refilled the guy helped those in front of us then when we pulled up he walked back in store and never came back. He sent some other guy out to say, they were backed up and wouldnt be able to help for at least 3 hours if that. Pretty sad service to say the least.

I wish it were possible to give zero stars. You reserve something, have people organized to help you move, show up to get the truck and....no truck! Now you’re stuck. What descriptive expletive rhymes with “stuck”and “truck”? That’s how we feel about UHaul. I’ve used them in the past, but never again.

Pathetic service will not answer calls or e- mail when our U boxes were supposed to arrive, no call to say that they had arrived. Phone their number then routed to their customer service and they are as dense as the rest of these people involved. One CSA states they arrived one day then lies that they arrived another day all in the same call. Over $3,000 spent using them. Again the staff in this location cannot call a customer to let them know the boxes arrived . I would never use this Uhaul location after this fiasco.

I only needed propane for an rv, stood out at the filling rack and pushed the buzzer, no one appeared. Went inside, stood and waited and was never acknowledged. Not a soul said a word to me. Went elsewhere. I dont think they knew I was even on their property, Oh well. Thats why theres competition.

Staff is great, lot kid was literally running everywhere. Best boxes in town.

I fill my propane tank(S), rented trailers from them. The guys are super nice and give one on one, when you get to them. Seems I always go when one person is there. I don’t like that part but I do appreciate the attention they give the customer when you’re next in line.

I never had problems with U Haul trucks or hitches. I bought a new car. It was a week old when these guys put on a hitch. They accidentally smashed the wiring harness to the sensors on the back bumper. I cannot get them to make it right. The district manager Daniel Summers is avoiding me. If you want a U Haul product, go somewhere other than Amarillo out of this district. The district manager avoids making situations right.....After posting this the manager got ahold of me. They fixed my wiring and made a refund for the car dealership charges. Daniel said the new man working there didnt make appointment for me to come back in and get it fixed. All is working now.

Well the bld. was nicely air conditioned. But the staff was slow.

Lance saved me about $100 fixing the brake and blinker lights. We really appreciated his hard work climbing under my truck and looking at the fuses.

Ive been using there storage facility for 3 months now and its completely secure, has easy access, and very clean! The storage prices could be cheaper other than that there good.

On a cross-country trip when I had an issue with my Uhaul installed trailer wiring harness. Lane did some troubleshooting and figured it out. Got me back on the road pretty quickly. Thank you Lane!!

Once again this uhaul is not able to comply with corporate policies for corporate accounts. Either there machine is down, they just dont want to fill us so they lie or out of 3 people on staff nobody is certified. Uhaul is a joke and they make my job so much harder than it needs to be. Even after reading all the reviews they have yet to do anything about their lazy staff

Service was extremely slow. I needed wiring hooked up to my car for trailer and when I called in they said they couldnt do it until the next day. I then called the downtown location and they said they could get it in right away. When I took it downtown they ended up not being able to do it because they didnt have a part but looked online and said that the first location I was at had nothing scheduled and could do it. The man at the downtown location called the store on canyon and asked them why they couldnt do it and they man said that he just didnt want to do it because they didnt have the quick connect part in stock so instead they would have to wire it the hard way. I understand that this made it more difficult but that is no reason to turn someone away. I then brought my car to the location on canyon and they got me in right away. At this time I asked how long it would take and the man said no more than an hour and a half. Two hours later I called in and the person on the phone said that it would be about 20-30 more minutes. I took my time getting there and when I arrived it was an hour after my phone call and the car was still being worked on. After waiting in line I payed and then the guy that was working on the car slowly walked into the lobby and the front desk lady asked if it was done and he said I just have 4 more bolts to put on and then continued to help another customer. I ended up standing in the store for around 30 minutes waiting for my car. In total the job that I was told would take an hour and a half took over 3 hours and even when I was waiting no one was in a hurry to help me. When I complained to the front desk worker she rolled her eyes at me and said there was nothing she could do. This was the worst experience Ive had with a company and I wont be returningI recommend going to the downtown location, the workers there are much more friendly and are easier to work with.

My pre-move purchases of supplies was handled quickly and completely by friendly and helpful staff. When the equipment for my move was not available in Amarillo, the staff found the correct sizes of truck and trailer in other locations and adjusted the pricing and time accordingly. Over all---great service!!

I rented a van and drove it a total of 13 miles. I drove it very carefully and the gas gauge never moved. Im sure I didnt even use a half gallon of gas. When I returned they tried to charge me almost $8.00 for the gas usage. I had to go back out and put a half gallon of gas in the van and then return it. Ive rented from U-Haul plenty of times and have never had bad cheap service like this before. I will definitely go elsewhere from now on.

There is never anyone at the counter when I come here, but when they do finally come in they are always friendly and helpful. The store is well stocked with anything you could need for a move.

Sometimes they shine, but not reliably. I have had mostly bad experience with this location.Understaffed, they dont answer the phone promptly and when they do, they abuse their answering service and quickly patch you up to U-Haul Customer Service line, where -after a while- they tell you they will email the Amarillo location with your request.They have long lines and (with the exception of the manager) staffed with people with the worst customer service skills and the rude attitude that go with that prize.Every once in a while they perform normal, but must of the time they dont.Will never use them again, even if they are the closest to me, Ill use the downtown location.

I rented a U-Haul once and when I went to turn it in it was chaos, and although it wasnt their fault Im giving two stars because the man that helped us In the end said that all of the going back and forth making all the calls and what not could have been avoided if the correct people would have helped.

I called and spoke to Eddie needing to rent a trailer to move my daughter home from college. He was very professional and courteous and made this transaction very simple. I would definitely recommend them.

Second time to return to uhaul on canyon eway first time said no propane sold until After 3pm so we returned at 3:10 pm fifth in line can see employees walkinking around and staring out at us gone to loves at 3:28 getting propane called uhauls phone number got a number at corporate no help

I rented a pickup and a 2 wheele carrier from them and the morning I was to pick them up I got a confermation call from them that they had the pickup but the trailer was at anouther place in town. Then got anouther call from a 3rd Uhaul place saying they had my reserved pickup. I was driving my daughter to work trying to get this all strait. Droped her off and stoped to get milk and bread then went to get the pickup got it and then went to the other uhaul place that had the trailer and you got it the person that did the uhaul stuff was gone had to wait 2 hours for him to show up. then when he got there I was put on hold while he did a vehicle inspection. By the time I got the trailer I was nearly to late to pick up my broken down car from the FOrd Dealership as it was saterday. Then I had to rush home and load the pickup with a moutnain of cardboard boxes by the time I got that done the dump was closed so had to keep the pickup till monday morning to go to the dump and return it all. What would have cost me one days rental had ended up costing me 3 on the pickup and trailer. The guy that had the trialer had told me as long as I had it back monday morning he would just charge me for one day. when I got the ticket nope all three days. On top of that its not my fault they didnt have the carrier at the same place as the pickup it cost me valuable time and extra milage and gass to accomidate them and I thought I was the customer. In all a messed up reservation topped off with a double reservation and then all the extra cost because the one place wasnt open when they should have been has left me with a very very sour taste wish there was a penske truck rental in town. Not sure a different UHAUL will help after all, all three were involved in this messed up. Maybe its just a way for them to make more money off their customers by makeing them use the vehical more then they needed too. Sadly I am a retired Vet USAF and have used Uhaul many times in those 20 years never did I get such incompetent service from Uhaul as I have here in Amarillo, TX.

I called and scheduled to pick up a 17 truck today and was told I would be called within an hour for a pickup time. Almost 3 hours later I didnt hear from them so I called up there and they gave me the main uhaul number. After talking to the lady, she said my order being confirmed for the pick up of a 17 truck today didnt mean I would get it, it just meant that they received my order. So now I have to wait til tomorrow (which means I have to take a day off of work) to get a smaller truck...very very unhappy

This location is a terrible representation of the UHaul company. It is ran by incompetent staff, especially the manager Daniel, who have zero regard for customers. UHaul should fire these people and start over.

It was literally as if all the employees called in for the day and 3 random people filled in. Nobody had a clue what was going on.Dont bother making a reservation, and dont think youll get assistance from anyone who cares to put their phone down long enough to do their job. This 1st and last visit was a total joke.
