Great customer service.They need to stop using the Ford econoline box truck. They have a manufacturers defect in the power steering system which also happens to be the power break system. This translates to catastrophic failure of both breaks and steering.

I have to say that my day was going pretty good, well that was until I got a message on my dash that looked like the abs braking was having issues. So as I drove down the freeway going more than 65 mph this light wasn’t going away. I pulled over and shut the truck off, once I turn the truck back on the message went away. I started driving again and the message came back. I needed gas so I stopped in the next little town and while waiting for the truck in front of me, I called the Penske company in Amarillo Texas where I spoke with Robert who was very helpful, he suggested that I come in so they could look at what the issue was.Ivan went and looked at the truck and couldn’t find what was going on, so he drove the truck and immediately new what the issue was. Both of my front tire bearings were bad.I shouldn’t have been driving this truck at all. To know that the people at the Carmel Indiana let me drive this off the lot is beyond crazy. I have only rented Penske trucks. I might rethink this next time.I have to thank Ivan, Robby and Robert for all their help. Ivan really went above and beyond his call of his job, he was late going home to his loved one, all to make sure I got a hotel and got dinner. Also, I have want to thank Diane for getting me another truck and people to reload it.Thank you!!!

I would not recommend renting a Penske truck I rented a Penske truck 3 weeks in advance and they called me the same day as pick up telling me the truck would not be ready for another day then I had to drive an hour and a half to pick up the truck truck was not cleaned properly head to re clean the windshield because all there was was streaks in it headlights are very dim and are pointed straight up to the trees so you cant see the road radio works when it wants have had nothing but issues this whole trip with this company and truck I swear companies these days do not care about their customersyou would think if you meet us reservations 3 weeks in advance they would have the truck therenot call you the same day at 9 telling you the truck wont be ready that day when youre supposed to pick it up at 10 and then you have to fight with corporate to get the truck I would give them zero stars but youre not allowed to and if you have a long trip you do not want want one of their trucks they have it so Governor it tops out at 70 and when you are going up hills it will drop down to 45 I call this an unsafe vehicle have to turn your hazard on going up hills at night so you dont get rear ended plus you can not idle the truck more than 10 minutes or the truck motor will shut off cant even sleep at the truck stop because you will die from freezing or sweating to death I will be contacting corporate again the truck they put me in should not even be on the roadyou cant even reach your drink in the cup holder because the seat belt is always locked if you take off your seatbelt while driving to grab your drink you will have to put the truck in park just to get the seat belt on lockedI would love to see somebody from the corporate office drive this truck for 3 and 1/2 days just like I did and see what they think. very terrible company plus they give you a vehicle with broken mirrors and a cracked windshield and never put it in the paperwork

Friendly people, but cant get things done on time, even with a week to do the things I needed done, here I am the day Im supposed to leave and its not done...not impressed. Ill be making sure the owner of my company knows that it takes them way too long!

Amazing service. Went above and beyond to help secure a last second truck for an unexpected move across country at the busiest possible time. I was not able to pickup the truck with my mother, but she felt completely comfortable with the experience. So thankful that this Penske location has such caring staff.

Ill start by saying the people here are more than friendly. But when it comes to communication. My experience here was very poor. I check in at 8pm Thursday for trailer brake adjustment. Called 8am Friday, to get time estimate. Exact words were we will pull in your trailer later this afternoon to get a diagnostic. I did say Thursday night, Im under a load. So I dont have 24 hours to burn. So if youre on a run. I wouldnt pull in here, unless you absolutely have to.

This place was awesome. Got right in to the shop for repairs on my truck. Didnt take long to fix. Also the employees here are really nice.

We’re moving halfway across the country and I was nervous as all get out about pretty much everything! Then I talked to Kaycee at Penske! She helped me out and she made it so I wasn’t nervous about my truck rental at all! Y’all! If you need help moving, she can help you. So thankful for her! Wonder if she can solve all my other moving problems, too? Bet she could!

Ive crossed country many times. These trucks are the most reliable. Their rates are competitive.

This new rental facility is nice and clean with a good choice in rental trucks. There are a few moving products in the store part of the building, but that may change as more customers get the support they need.The hours need to be changed for later customer support. They do provide a great on the road service for break downs and traveling issues.The staff is very friendly and helpful. The prices are comparable with the competition.

We were on the road in a 22 foot Diesel when it became obvious something was causing horsepower issues. Called the original Penske location and the mechanic said it sounded like a clogged fuel line filter. He called ahead and located their shop in Amarillo who was open on Saturday and could fix it. It was a very cold morning but we got there and they fixed it in about an hour. It was a hassle but we were happy with the outcome. They would have gotten five stars but we took off from a Home Depot location and got zero operating instructions.

No one at this facility had any idea what was going on. Incredibly disorganized, I wasted an entire morning on them to get a truck ready after I thought all the plans had been put in place beforehand, then I spent my afternoon on several different service calls after their truck broke down after I left their facility.
