I had the best experience with these guys. I wasnt sure what I really needed for my lenses because of what I do for a living. Rebecca explained everything in great detail. She didnt sell me anything I didnt need either. She made me feel very informed about my options. The frame selection was great too! My old glasses were badly broken and she actually popped my old lenses into a new frame for free so I could use them while I wait for my new ones! I highly recommend these folks!

I was in town for my wife’s care, and my glasses were accidentally sat on. No spare available, and even no way to fix well. I called and googled around and found Hour Eyes Optical. Very helpful over the phone, no over promising. I came in, thinking I would have to pick up replacements later. After I found the frames, it only took 15 minutes! I only paid for 1 hour of parking! Big thanks to Hour Eyes Optical for helping me and my wife out.

Best experience Ive ever had with an optometrist. Everyone was friendly and communicative. Walked me through every step of purchasing new glasses, even going as far as breaking down what/how much my insurance covered for each piece so that I knew I was getting something I could afford. Ive never had anyone do this for me :)Wont go anywhere else now. 10/10 would recommend. The best.

Great shop and service! I bought a really cool pair of glasses which I unfortunately rolled over and broke. Took it back to the store and they took care of contacting the company and made sure I got another pair and were also helpful in discussing options if I wanted to explore a replacement. I appreciate the customer service and the store has a nice selection of frames and sunglasses- check it out if your in the neighborhood!

This place is amazing ! Their customer service rocks! I am traveling from out of state and forgot my contacts, they were amazing in following up via the chat feature on Google and making sure to connect with my optometrist back home. This is my favorite place Ive ever been to get new glasses. Rebecca is amazing and encouraging. She does her best to get you exactly what will work best for you and is beyond educated in so many types of glasses. I love this place and will miss it when I no longer live in the city. Awesome place and people. The optometrist is great and didnt force me doing the dialation stuff. Rebecca is the best person working there. She is kind and very helpful in picking the glasses. She didnt rush me into decisions at all and encouraged me into trying different ones. Ive been getting my glasses there for two years and would highly recommend.

Hour Eyes Rocks! Rebecca is WONDERFUL and helped me find the exact frames I wanted on more than one occasion (with better deals than anywhere else I was considering going). The entire staff was super helpful and very efficient. I went through the entire process with them, from eye exam to special ordering frames that were out of stock - a stress free experience. They really pay attention to the details and make sure you get exactly the type of lens you want. I just special ordered a pair of sunglasses with them the other day and was shocked by the selection of tints, polarization, shapes, and fade options. Still went with plain brown... haha. Love Hour Eyes and Ive sincerely never had a better experience anywhere.

Horrible customer service!! horrible experience!!! I have been going to this place for 2 years have purchased 3 pair of glasses and have had to take the glasses back over 7 times because the lenses keep falling out. and the screws keep falling out. they could not produce the receipt from the purchase of my glasses, not keeping records of purchases. they were rude to me they were racially biassed towards me I had to call the police because they were being so rude and threatening me. they never answer the phone And they never answer the door there very rude and unprofessional 2 employees quit because of the drama and lies being told there.. VERY DISHONEST!! dont go there!!

Purchased 3 pairs of glasses from this company in September of 2020 and was charged in full for all 3. They delivered 2 of the 3 within a reasonable amount of time, but 1 pair has been ordered and lost now 2x. All Ive been asking for is my money back, which they said they would do on 12/22/20, but Ive yet to receive a call back or a refund and its now a month later. Ive never had such a horrible experience dealing with another company in my life, and Im not the type that enjoys writing these reviews, at all. But, Im at the end of my rope and extremely upset and frustrated with how Ive been treated. Ive been a customer for years, but It goes without saying that I wont be going back and plan to look into legal action to get my money back.

Hour Eyes Optical does not give me any comfort that it is taking sufficient precautions and safety measures during the pandemic or that it is a professionally run place. The woman at the desk left her mask off and started talking to me across the room without the mask on. A disheveled looking man was guarding entry to the door. Washington State requires customer-facing employees to wear masks and Hour Eyes Optical itself requires customers to have masks on. The doctor was, however, professional. Regardless, we are living through an extraordinary period with the pandemic and I do not recommend this place unless it takes better safety precautions and is run more professionally.

The doctor was fine, but the business is horrendous. They gave me a trial pair of contacts and I wanted to buy a box. That’s all I wanted. I have called and been put on endless holds, told to leave callback numbers and never been called back, left voicemail messages that have gone unanswered. I stopped by in person and was asked to stand outside in the rain (I left). Weeks passed like this. Finally I snuck in at closing time one Saturday to ask for a printout of my prescription, having no interest in giving them any money, relieved to be rid of them. Alas, the contact prescription they printed for me cannot be filled, as the contact section is missing the requisite sizing info. I just wanted some contacts, man.

TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE. The place is a complete mess!Went there a couple of months ago to get new glasses. The first time, the doctor messed up with my prescription and had to wait for them to fix it. Went back to add the anti-glare feature to my glasses, dropped them off, a month went by, they wouldnt return my calls. Saw them in person, the place was a complete mess, completely disorganized, the woman wasnt able to find my glasses, another week went by, and after many calls, the woman, told me the lab lost my glasses (this happened at the end of November) its now 1/8/2021 - I still dont have my glasses, wont pick up the phone, tried to go in yesterday around 4pm (when they are supposed to close at 6pm) it was closed already. At this point, I dont know if I will ever get my glasses back. - DONT GO THERE PLEASE!

This is by far the worst optometrist experience I’ve ever had. I showed up on time for my appointment and eye examination was extremely rushed - I still don’t think my contacts were measured correctly but I refuse to go back. The doctor at one point told me I would have to come back for a contacts examination, even though that was the reason for my visit, and when I refused, he said “wait here”. A few minutes later, he brings out some guy from the back room who told me up front “this is my first day teaching someone how to use contacts”. Then, proceeds to terribly explain how to insert contacts. When I asked for a mirror he said “you don’t need one”.We’re just getting started! It took MONTHS to get my glasses and contacts. The worst part was they made it seem like it was my fault. “You know, everything’s slow right now”. Ok... it’s one thing to expect a delay - but I was told my order was being “tracked” and it would arrive “within two days” almost every week for months. No one here knows what they’re doing. They’re rude and disrespectful and unprofessional and they waste your time. Avoid at all costs.

I’ve tried making an appointment there for 2 months now. Every time I call it goes to voicemail and I leave my information. I’ve never heard back. Last week I went to their location and knocked on the locked door. I explained my situation to the frazzled woman working at the time and she PROMISED she would call to set up an appointment. Unsurprisingly, she never called. How is this business still open, given how completely disorganized they are?

TERRIBLE customer experience. In times of Covid-19 I understand that safety comes first; however, Hour Eyes Optical should tell their customers that when you go pick up your glasses, you will not be allowed inside the store.How can I feel if my frames are comfortable while standing on the street, holding my purse, my cup of coffee while it is 80F? I cannot.Really do not want to go back there ...but how can I wear my glasses when it feels extremely uncomfortable and it is pressuring my head?PLEASE just tell your customers what to expect and if you are not going to allow your customer inside the store, please have at least a chair and a mirror. I have been going here for something like 10 years, and they have been totally fine. Really what keeps me going here for my annual check ups is that they already have all of my information and they are in a great location. They haven’t had a consistent optometrist the last 4 times I have gone there and I have gotten conflicting advice on multiple occasions. They are always happy to make thing right though. I have never purchased frames here because nothing has ever stood out to me. All of that said, I must acknowledge the receptionist here are amazing and super helpful!

4.5 stars. I got a long overdue eye exam, new frames, and updated prescription. The eye exam was thorough. The doctor was professional and answered all my questions.Buying new frames was easy. Their selection isnt extremely extensive, but I found several frames that worked for me. The selection was good Id say.Everyone working there is polite and professional. They distinguish themselves through service and individual attention to you which is essential because they are not one of those discount places. Their prices seemed very fair, and depending on the lenses you choice, the price care vary quite a bit. I never felt pressured to pick more expensive lenses. They do offer nice discounts if you buy a second pair or put new lenses in an old pair.All in all a great place to buy new glasses or get your eyes checked. Great local business.

Incredible service! Kyle was extremely helpful when I was shopping for a new pair of glasses. I just went in today because one of the arms on my frames broke. Matthew loaned me the arm from his personal (identical) frames until the replacement arrives! Totally above and beyond!

They really came through for me! My eyeglasses broke right before a business trip and they made me a new pair in under an hour. So friendly and reasonably priced too. Can’t say enough good things about this place!

My eyes are very difficult to fit. Dr Bluff has the technology and experience to fit contacts better than anyone else I have used since I started wearing contacts 50 years ago. The bonus is a very patient and competent staff.Greg B.

Brought glasses in to be fitted after being assured they were the best. Had to call several times, leave messages until i got we can do it, but it will take time. Go in week later with her handing me the glasses not fitted with no call saying they could not do it. If you want to waste time and money this is the place.

Took them 2 months to get my glasses right.First time they messed up my power.Second time they messed up my power again.Had to take a test with them to verify if the power was right and get my glasses.Still have trouble reading small text. Hate this place.

This place is a DISASTER. The eye doctor was fine. The staff were absolutely chaos.The woman who helped me find glasses was the most disorganized person I have ever worked with. She wasnt clear on how insurance worked at all, and she took hours trying to get my paperwork done (literally hours: I was there from 11 - 2:30).Once she finally had the paperwork done by hand, she asked if I would like to leave and pay when I picked up my glasses because she still had to enter it into the computer. I said sure, after asking several times to make sure this would not affect my insurance coverage for the year or my ability to use my FSA account to pay. She assured me it would not, and was wrong on both counts. I was billed for January for my insurance, and my FSA claim was denied because the payment was a different year than the service (late December, early January). So now I have a year to wait before I can get my eyes checked again, and I owe money back into my FSA.To top it all off, my glasses were wrong when they came in. I had ordered fatigue-reduction lenses, and instead ended up with short-vision computer glasses which are similar but not the same.Avoid if you value knowledgeable staff or any form of organization from your healthcare provider. I am left scrambling because I now have an unexpected bill for glasses. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Had a screw fall out of my Zeiss surgical loupes.(not bought here). After almost a week of searching online, buying an emergency repair kit, taking the screw into lens craftersand calling up Zeiss I was no further to finding even the right screw type and much less to finding the actual screw that would fit.I brought it into Hour Eyes and the friendly staff quickly (within minutes)found the right screw and repaired my loupes for me.Thanks!
