Never, once, have I heard of anyone selling a gun without a magazine.What is worse is that, due to a patent lawsuit, magazines for the gun I purchased are not available.San Diego Guns unapologetically sold me a paperweight.I paid hundreds of dollars for a gun that will not shoot and ammo that will never go into the gun.When I first went in, the gun had a small magazine with it. Im sure the video will show that when I purchased the gun, all of the correct parts were put into a black hard case along with the ammo I selected.When I picked it up, after waiting weeks, I was half way home before I wondered why I hadnt seen the magazine and blew off the fact that it ended up in the original cardboard box.Now, they are saying that it was never shipped with a magazine. Bamboozled!If a gun does not come with a magazine and no magazine is available, you had no business selling that gun.Unbelievable that no less than a half dozen employees were involved in the transaction and it took me to realize the gun was nothing more than a $600 paperweight, which was already well above MSRP, but I generally prefer to support local businesses.I was told no returns. I hadnt even made it home.No promises. They will try to find a magazine. Everywhere is sold out. None available anywhere.Terrible, costly, and time wasting experience.

Friendly and polite . It appears that the have a decent collection to sell. They are not strong in buying guns from the public….. you can get better prices elsewhere.

I know nothing about guns, just started getting into the idea of buying one. The staff was super helpful, didnt try to push expensive guns on me or anything of the sort.If I ever pull the trigger on a gun purchase, it will most likely be here.

Stopped in for the first time today and was amazed at all the negative reviews online - those reviewers have clearly had their heads up their behinds during this pandemic.Of course their products are going to be more expensive than say turners - they aren’t a national chain obviously they can’t compete but they make up for it by being friendly and keeping a large selection of items in stock. I was able to pick up all the random thing I needed for my build the same day, didn’t have to pay shipping, and helped out a small business so really it’s comparably priced if you value your time and experience.I didn’t catch her name but the blonde woman was very helpful and knowledgeable. She had recommendations, was more than happy to let me check out products and even (extremely politely) asked about my build as I had a grip for another rifle to make sure I knew the configuration was legal.Overall it was a very positive experience and I will definitely be back next time I need something. Their Instagram lets you know when they keep new things in stock too.

First time customer. Most friendly firearms store in San Diego. I was helped by Arthur and Dallas. Highly recommended. Wont go anywhere else again.

I ordered and purchased a G21 through SD Guns. Bottom line is I ended up with a new gun and lots of ammo during a pandemic, and they made it happen. There were some bumps in the road, but nothing out of the ordinary given the current circumstances. The staff is friendly enough, but if I need walking rays of sunshine, Ill go see a florist. This is a gun shop. These people are already operating under attack from anti-2A government, and now theyre inundated with first time gun buyers many of which have had their heads in the sand during important moments for local 2A causes. One thing SD Guns does better than most is balancing their attention between folks that are in the store and the endless stream of calls. Having been on both sides many times, I never felt neglected in either scenario. I have recommended this place to coworkers and will return.

I have been to this store 4-5 times in the last 3 months. First time gun buyer here. This is a very well organized operation. Follow their guidelines on the website, book an appointment and you will be taken care of. I have dealt with Eric and Jillian and both have been very helpful and patient. I wouldnt go here just because of pricing. 800 dollars for a M&P Shield? Bruh. MSRP straight from Smith and Wesson is $490 so dont let anyone tell you its covid pricing or market value. I bought mine from Turners for 500. Other than that the people that work there are nice and informative. They are super knowledgeable on California restrictions and laws for non resident military buyers. I really appreciated that the lady went out of her way to talk to me because it can be kinda intimidating talking to men about guns and I was way more comfortable talking to another woman that understood my needs and discomforts when it came to concealed carry.

The gentlemen here are pretty rude (Not all of them) and unfortunately I found out this place charges much more for Glock 19s than other local stores. Found out a local range charges 2-300 less. The guys at the range store also smiled and laughed which you will never see at this place which sucks because it’s so close to me.

There are other gun stores that don’t answer their phones with jerkish attitudes just because you want to schedule an appointment. BTW their appointments are ridiculously long. I recommend giving your business to another mom n pop shop.

Been coming here for a few years on and off now and I’m always leaving with something. Good people to be around. Since they’re a smaller shop, patience and respect is key to excellent service by all members there. Support your locals!!

Organized, knowledgeable, helpful. Not an intimidating store and very welcoming to all kinds of people no matter their experience with weapons. I think they handled the pandemic very well contrary to some posts. They are very present on social media. They care for the health and safety of their staff and patrons and never skip a beat in their processes. They are transparent and have great weapons for all comfort levels. I dont think I will ever go to another shop. I am a patron for life and would like to get some merch to promote them. I swear these folks would do great if they had a range because their comfortable environment would make it great for first timers to get some range time.

While deciding, slowly and carefully, where to buy my new rifle after many years out of the sport I visited pretty much every gun store in San Diego. My conclusion was simple; these guys are the best choice. When youre ready to buy a firearm and seek expert opinion without the pressures of time or salesmanship then this is the place to come.

They overprice their firearms by hundreds more and their ammo. Do not shop here. Go to another gun store that doesn’t take advantage of US citizens

I had a really great experience in this store. I actually purchased my first weapon here and they made the process very enjoyable and easy. I received a really good deal on both my weapon and the ammunition that goes with it. They answered all of my questions very quickly and overall made the process much smoother than I thought it would be. Really glad I came here, I am definitely going to make myself a regular here.

Discovered these guys recently. Glad they are so close to the freeway. I went there just looking, but found such a great deal on a Browning Buckmark 22 that I had to buy it. These guys are very professional and also had really good pricing on ammo. Ill be back and am glad I found a great gun dealer!

I needed a firearm and had one in mind - I went to this shop ready to buy. They were very helpful- they asked me what I wanted and helped me with other options. I eventually found a pistol that perfectly suited my needs. I found the extra parts I wanted as well! The best part: THE PEOPLE…. The employees didn’t throw lingo and slang at me expecting me to know everything like other shops I have shopped. They are friendly, professional and helpful! Props to the crew there!!!

First time visit. Tidy, organized looking store, tight parking situation. Feels safe. I can understand booking an appointment for something that requires a dialogue, but being told to schedule an appointment for the following day for a box of ammo that is sitting on the shelf when it appears that there is staff available to assist w a less complex transaction? It would have been easier to receive this info if the gentleman’s delivery wasn’t assumptive. I get it- you prob have to tell first time visitors to your store “by appt only” over and over all day due to covid, but, many of us have worked with people and have been there. Most people will hopefully be understanding if you give them adequate customer service- in this case, some sort of formal greeting vs leading with “do you have an appt?” and, in this case, some very minor details on why I need to Schedule an appointment 24 hours from now to purchase a box of ammo. A scripted apology, albeit cliche, would make this all easier to digest and I would’ve sincerely left five stars- even leaving empty handed. Hello- although its just a $26 box of ammo, I’m still trying to support your business.

I went in just to see what they had. I ended up purchasing a rifle. The salesman was friendly and knowledgeable. I am glad I bought it. Ordered a firearm through them. The order was delayed due a misunderstanding with the supplier. The owner was able to iron it out and was thoroughly apologetic for something I wouldnt even consider entirely their fault. All in all, super friendly and helpful staff. 10/10 would buy again.

Dallas found me an AWSOME AR-15 lower receiver from AERO PRECISION at a great price. He made the whole buying experience very laid back, he did not rush me into buying something that was not right for me just to make a sale. I have been in the shooting sport for a number of years and have bought from several gun stores here in San Diego and I can honestly say SD GUNS has been the best I have done business with.
