Only compliment I can give is towards the clerks, theyre great. Though when it comes to repairs, not the place to go to if you have any sound issues with your vehicle. They will tell you what the almost issue is, take care of it, and then will just happen to come across a major issue that had nothing to do with the repair and work you took it in for (ex. taking in for an oil change, tire rotation/check-up turning into my car just shutting completely off upon /their/ test drive- when my car has never done so..). Overall, not the place to being your car to if youre trying to hold onto it (moreso if its older). If its a simple issue you can take care of somewhere else, then Id do so, b/c if you havent had any major issues with your car and are always on top of upkeep, theyll for sure happen to find one

I had an idea of what was wrong with my car, he confirmed it, told me the price to fix it, gave me some other recommendations that could be done but didnt push anything when I said no thank you. We recently sold our 2018 Honda Accord to Mossy Nissan KM. We were planning to sell private party, but received a great offer from Chris online. The process was so simple from there- we drove the car down, they did a quick inspection, filled out necessary paperwork and we were out the door within 30 minutes. The check came in the mail a few days later. Chris was great to work with, responsive, and followed up to make sure we received the check from the dealer. Definitely the best car selling experience we could have asked for.

3 stars because the people who work at the service department are very nice and helpful, however the call center is terrible and gives you incorrect information. I was contacted by the call center and made an appointment for an oil change. I informed them that I would be waiting, not dropping off and that I couldn’t wait too long. I was assured that I was dropping off at the express station and to make sure I call and let them know if I was running late at all. I arrive at my scheduled time, and was informed that they were so slammed that it would be at least a 2 hour wait for an oil change and that I should have dropped off the car. I asked why I wasn’t informed of that when I made the appointment, and apparently the call center has no real connection with the service department. I left. The service is good, but make sure you are able to leave your car there all day, even if it’s just for an oil change, regardless of what the call center tells you. Mossy Nissan needs to ensure they are giving their clients correct information when making appointments. If I didn’t have an oil change pending on my account, I would not be returning. There are too many other options available without the headache.

Had already picked out the car and had it on hold with a deposit paid. Came back 24 hours later to sign the papers and pick up the car. It took 2 and a half hours just to sign about 9 forms. RidiculousI should add that Manny (sales person) was great. He was nice, helpful, not pushy at all and I had a 5 star experience with him.The additude was totally different from the finance guy. We werent even financing the car but felt extremely sold to and dont like that part at all. Just wanted to give the dealership the money and leave but was stuck there.

He was very informative during the test drive and very efficient with the paper work. I truly recommend dealing with this dealership for your car buying needs. We were in and out in no time. Just drove my Nissan Leaf home and could not be happier! Peter Fletcher was the guy who helped me out and he went above and beyond. I am very disappointed in the service here at my last visit. Each time I have taken my car in, it is a very long wait(all day) which I understand. They are very busy. But this last time, I made an appointment to have my screen looked at because it was blacking out and freezing. After 7 hours they still had not even looked at it and had to keep my car for another day. I asked them what the point of an appointment time is if they are not even going to look at your car? I was told the appointment is to hold your place in line?? I called the next morning and they still have not looked at my car. I had to miss work and it still is not dealt with. Customer service apologized and said I can wait and see or just come get my car.so I had to just get my car that was never even looked at. Left a message for the manager and still have not heard back. This is a very flawed system that mossy nissan needs to fix. Don’t take appointments if you don’t have the time to see them. It is very frustrating and inconvenient for the customer. After talking to my advisor it seems as though this is a huge frustration for the people working there as well.UPDATE.I have changed my rating due to Kenneth the advisor here. He tried very hard to rectify the situation. He rescheduled my appt and made sure there was a loaner available and was able to get my car fixed in a few days. So kudos to Kenneth.

My wife had set up an appointment to test drive a 2021 Rogue Platinum. The dealership confirmed at least three times that we’d be there. They even gave us a salesperson, Chris, that would help us. When we got there, Chris told us he was busy with another customer and passed us off on another salesperson. OK fine let’s go look at the new Rogue Platinum. Well, we don’t have one on the lot, but we can show you a regular Rogue. We already have a 2016 Rogue that we bought from this dealership 5 years ago. Obviously a lot has changed in quality of service since then. A simple call to let us know the car we wanted to look at wouldn’t be available would have been appropriate. We drove 20 miles through traffic to meet the appointed time. I’m still at a loss for the absolute disrespectful service from a so called reputable dealership trying to sell cars. Needless to say we are done with Mossy Nissan and Nissan in general. We are now in the market for another mid sized SUV. Open for suggestions.

Dustin was phenomenal. It is so rare to find great and genuine care in customer service. As a former supervisor in the banking industry, I have come to expect that with great expertise, comes an even greater ego. Dustin disproved my belief with his unwavering humility and eagerness to help me out of the dangerous situation I found myself in (brake lights not working while I was in the middle of a 130 mile drive) Before arriving at Mossy Kearny Mesa, I spent over 45 min speaking to Mossy Nissan national city, only for them to conclude that they couldn’t even schedule an appointment for me, they did offer to have a service advisor call me back, I am still waiting for that return call. As a last resort I called Nissan North America before coming into your dealership. I thought that I was going to have to stand my ground with your service advisor and was emotionally gearing myself up for battle. To my complete surprise, I didn’t even have to mention my call to Nissan North America to Dustin, he was ready and eager to assist, compassionate and efficient. I was out the door in less than 5 min and on my way to a loaner car that wasn’t going to cost me a dime. Dustin is an exemplary example of not just what a service advisor should be, but how we should all approach helping each other on this planet. Thank you Dustin.

I made an appointment at 7am to replace one tire, hoping that it will be ready when I get off work at 3pm. I get a call at 2:45 saying that my car still isnt ready. I get to the dealership after work and I have to wait over an hour to get ONE tire replaced, even though I made an appointment as soon as they opened so I wouldnt have to wait, I still had to wait. Very disappointed and a waste of my time.

BEWARE! They DO NOT HONOR the trade in price they quote you online.  They will BAIT AND SWITCH you to a lower price! I was looking to sell my car and went to their website to get a quote, then I went into the store within the stated 7 days validity period. I informed the sales rep that I already obtained a quote on their website for a certain amount. The rep came back to me in a few minutes giving me a quote that was about 15% lower! I showed him the hardcopy copy of their quote I obtained but he said there was nothing they can do and they will not honor it! He then said can we negotiate to somewhere in the middle....  I was pretty furious but I was baited into the store already and not wanting to redo the process again with another dealer, so I finally asked them to at least match Carvanas (lower) estimate, which the rep agreed.  The moral of the story is, Mossy Nissan DOES NOT deal above board and cant be trusted!

I feel lied to and am extremely upset. I was charged for a diagnostics test when I only came in for a brake check. When I got the diagnostics test back, it was clear they were making up issues for commission. My statement said the brake fluid was discolored when I had taken it to get topped off at a reputable mechanic just two days before. In addition, the prices for the rest of the immediate issues were incredibly high. After doing a thorough research and consulting other experts, I found that the majority of the cost was upcharges. I do not understand why different Mossy Nissans charge different amounts for the same service and same labor. I was also told to give positive reviews about car detailing I did not receive. Overall, extremely dissatisfied with my experience, will never go back, and will tell my friends/family to not go back to this location. I should have listened to the multiple terrible reviews.

After many services with no problemsThe last one had issues .Having basic maintenance done,After receiving the company van ,They didnt reset any warning lights, which there were three, didnt fill wiper fluid which was still completely empty, didnt change broken wiper blades. The paperwork had stated all these items were completed .after returning all issues were fixed.Now two weeks later here I am in El Centro and my air conditioner only blows hot air (broken)And the temperature is 113 degrees. The fluids for the transmission and rear differential were changed as well as the brake fluid in my 2013 NV 2500 HD. I also own a 2001 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab with a manual transmission. The NV 2500 JD is running great! The Frontier is is running well for just over 270,000 miles. I have been buying various parts for both vehicles to keep up the restoration efforts in asthetics and performance for the past month from Mossy Nissan on San Diego. I was disappointed with a last minute change done to my contract.During the course of negotiations, I was assured that I would be getting a 0% rate on my contract.After my credit was ran, and the hit to my credit score achieved, I was told that I would be getting a 3.9% rate. After some math on my part, I saw that the amount I would be paying would equal the retail amount listed for the vehicle I selected. This eliminated any agreements made for a lower price I had negotiated for.This makes me less than pleased with my treatment.Other than this key point, the staff are pleasant people.

The new Lyft program isn’t that helpful if shuttle aren’t offered. I had to pay almost 30 dollars out of pocket just to get to and from the dealership ship. Honda covers 15 miles versus only first 10 dollars. Was not expecting nor prepared to pay out of pocket since my recall was a free service

KP was my service advisor during my last visit. He was great. I never had to wonder what was going on with the status of my truck. He was in contact with me the whole way through either via text or a phone call. Definitely superior service! And a huge shout out to the tech who worked on my truck, I dont know their name, but found a tear in the boot on the passenger side tie rod. With KPs help he was in contact with the Extend Service Contract company and the replacement of the boot and necessary alignment were covered. And kudos to the woman who I worked with for my loaner vehicle. Shes super friendly, easy to work with and has a great sense of humor. Awesome team all around!!

We recently took our car to Mossy Nissan at Kearny Mesa because the transmission needed to be replaced. Our service representative quoted us close to $5,000 to fix the transmission. When we easily found another repair shop that would fix it for $3,500 and I called our service representative to release the car, he was very upset with me saying he could have fixed the car for $3,500 if I had just talked to him. Once my car was repaired, Nissan had to reprogram the new transmission (because they are the only people who are able to do that), and the service representative we originally worked with said it would cost double the amount for them to reprogram it that Mossy Nissan in National City said it would cost, just to spite us for using a different repair shop.I never write reviews, but this was a horrible experience. It was the classic scummy salesman stuff you always hear about when dealing with cars. I will not be returning to this Nissan again.

I scheduled my appointment as early as possible, 8 am. There was no one in line when I arrived early. I was quickly checked in with the only required maintenance being a bi-annual oil change. Over 90 minutes later I was told my car was ready. I paid Over 60$ for an oil change that would take me half the time to do it myself, and my car was not even cleaned, inside or out for my trouble. This service is completely ridiculous.

I went here to buyout my lease contract and was told to come on in and it would be no issue. As I was paying cash, it should be an easy transaction. I filled out all the paperwork and at the end the Manager comes and tells me they need to run my credit to allow me to buy the car. I explained there is no reason to run my credit for me to pay cash to purchase a lease I have through NMAC. The manager remarked it was their policy and it wasnt making him any money helping me buy out my lease so if I didnt like it I could leave. So I left only to find out after I left he ran my credit TWICE after leaving despite me never signing, nor giving any permission to run my credit. I addressed the problem with the GM who acknowledged the employees wrong doing, but offered little to no compensation/resolution to the matter. Because NMAC instituted a policy May 1st, 2021 that does not allow you to sell your lease to a 3rd party, the only way you will be able to sell a leased vehicle with equity in it is to buy it out, and then sell it. Needless to say, this has been the most unpleasant experience I have ever dealt with at a car dealership. After going through all of this, they are the only place I can actually buyout my lease from so I had no choice. On the back end they insisted on burying me with ridiculous various fees ranging from 30 to 300 dollars tacking on nearly $700 to my buyout agreement price. All-in-All, I would and will never do business with any Mossy dealership ever again. Also, to the guy that ran my credit after I explicitly told you not to, you are an unethical human being and treating people as you did will get you nowhere in life.

My 2000 Frontier needed extensive work. It took a week, but I had a loaner so that was not an issue. Kenny always kept me up to date with progress made; I never felt ignored or unimportant. He never chastised me for neglecting my trucks needs. I never felt that he had oversold the repairs; I hope to get at least 5 more years out of this truck, and I really expect that is possible now.

I came to them because there is noise from my altima 2012. They checked my car and charged me $150. They told me that there was something wrong in the wheel bearing. I brought my car for repair in another shop and found that the wheel bearing is good. Instead, there is something wrong in the strut, which touched the tire and caused the noise. Now I took my car back with the new struts. Everything is fine. I asked them for some refunding and they refused. It is totally cheating. I think that they did not check my car at all. If there is some problem, tried to avoid them.
