The process was done with speed, but tremendous efficiency. All my questions were answered thoroughly and the demonstration drive was very professional.My experience with the Sales Manager who explained the numbers and worked with me during the brief negotiation was professional, respectful and courteous. He has a number of years experience and is very professional and thorough at his position! Very pleasant to deal with.Truman in Finance understands the fundamentals of processing the large amount of paperwork pertaining to the sale and purchase of a vehicle. Thanks to the staff at Kearny Mesa Kia, I purchased my very first brand new car! I’d like to give exceptional recognition to Noah Richardson, who went above and beyond during my experience today. At first, there was no stock available for the model I was originally looking at, but Noah provided me some options and we ended up looking at an alternative. With his comprehensive and detailed explanation of all the specific features of the car, I couldn’t wait to test drive it. Even during the car ride, Noah consistently made an effort to have a good conversation while still answering any questions I had about the vehicle. Upon return to the dealership and subsequently the period of time it took to agree on a deal that best suited my needs, Noah remained patient and attentive to any feedback I had during that process. Today I had a fantastic experience at Kearny Mesa Kia, Noah was even kind enough to arrange for my pick up and drop off to switch out my car and return to a pristine new vehicle. My new Kia Niro Hybrid/Plugin is the third vehicle I purchase at Kearny Mesa Kia. The main reason I keep going back is not only because I find that Kias are very economical and reliable cars with a great warranty and loaded with bells and whistles, but for the staff at this location.All three times that I have been at this dealership, I have never felt that I have been pressured nor hounded by the salespeople or the finance department. They know how to take No for an answer the first time. I have always walked out satisfied with my car and the deal. I have also always stayed within my budget.This third time, Ive heard everyone talking about how difficult it has been to buy a car this year due to the leftover effects of the Pandemic. Yet this was not my experience. My salesperson this time was Darius Banks. He was great to deal with while buying my car. He was personable and easygoing and made the entire experience a simple one. I felt that he was on my side, and the results proved it to me. I got a great deal on my car!Since my car has just arrived, it took a little longer to get it ready. Im not complaining at all. Darius took me to the back lot to see the guys preparing the brand new car. That was a coll experience. During the wait time, he was very attentive, and we forgot we were waiting.Darius was also very good at making sure that I got the car I wanted without pressure. I mention pressure again because we are unfortunately used to being pressured at a car dealership.Overall, it was an easy, hassle-free experience, and I totally recommend him if you are in the market to buy a new car.

I had a great experience and Don Smith really made me feel valued as a customer! It took a few months for the make and model that I wanted to come in and he kept me updated throughout. When I finally went in to sign, he really made me feel welcome and worked with me to get a down payment and monthly payment I was comfortable with without any kind of pressure. I had a Kia Forte and Optima from this dealership before and I am glad I came back. I can’t say enough good things about Don and the entire team there!

The absolute worst experience I have ever had at any dealership. My appointment was at 1:30 for an oil change and tire rotation, with my waiting at the dealership. This normally takes no longer than an hour. After two and a half hours I had to ask for my vehicle. The service consultant did not know the status of the repairs. Also, there was a recall due and I asked what it was for. He said computer update. I asked which specific part of the system that the computer controlled did it apply to. He had no clue and had to ask the consultant next to him. I will never be going back.

Fantastic service! Tach Durdiev was instrumental in getting us the car we wanted, in a timely manner and at a price we were happy with. He was incredibly responsive, answered all of our questions and rolled out the red carpet for us when we went to pick up the car. Everything was done over email/phone and it made the entire experience seamless. Go to Kearny Mesa Kia if you are looking for a car!

Highly recommend asking for Ashton when entering the dealership. I had to find a new car and spent almost 15 hours in a week at countless dealerships and he was the first empathetic and genuine rep I came across. Made an effort to understand what I was looking for in a car and stayed true to my budget without all the upsell extras. Loved my experience and love my KIA k5!

Kearny Mesa dealer is customer oriented, listens to your concerns, and provides immediate plans and estimate for repairs/service needed.My service advisor was genuine and explained in detail what would be accomplished and provided an approximate time for service. He kept me informed as the service was being performed. I drove away with paying exactly what was quoted and a well serviced vehicle. Thank you!

Horrible customer service. There are several recalls on my key an arrow which I purchased from them new. I spoke with one of their service reps who scheduled an appointment for me at the earliest possible date which was approximately six weeks from the date of my phone call. When I arrived on the scheduled date and time I was told that there was no way they could do the work for me on that date as they did not have the parts and I would have to reschedule and come back at a later date.I received numerous phone calls and text messages from them about the second date and when I attempted to call them to clarify the time of the drop off, nobody in the service department picked up. I left a voicemail the general mailbox, but nobody return my phone call.When I came back on the later date the woman who came up to my car mustve been having a bad day as she was extremely rude.Having said all that, there was one rep who dealt with me who was professional and courteous. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was horrendous and I will never have my car serviced there again much less purchase a car from this dealership.

Great service like always at Kia! I had an amazing experience with Matt yesterday! He was super helpful answering all my questions and communicating changes every step of the appointment. I just have one small feedback for process improvement: communication with the car wash people should be a little better lol so when the customer pays its go time!!! communication probably got lost along the way and I didn’t get one. That’s not a deal breaker for me but I know for other people it is. Thanks guys 😊

Everyone is super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. In the 9 years that I have been servicing my car here, I have never had a complaint. Not one. Had one day only to make something work and get a car. Had worked with Steven Slewa before, and by chance he walked out right as I arrived. Had my lengthy questions answered and Steven Slewa helped find a good fit for me with a 2022 Kia Niro Plug in Hybrid.Everything from the sale to closing, paperwork, etc went good. Had my requests met and really appreciate everyone there at Kearny Mesa Kia/Ford being upfront with all the information and their honesty.My only con would be how I really wanted Like REALLY wanted my car to have the premium sound package and ventilated seats instead of just heated. :( is there a way to get that added or a work around please let me know.Would highly recommend the Kia/Ford there off Clairemont Mesa and the 805. Expect a good experience and definitely ask for Steven Slewa.

He is very nice and funny and also a retired NFL player! The finance team was great to work with as well. This dealership makes it easy to schedule and appointment and check-in. The work is almost always right the first time. However if there is a problem it is IMPOSSIBLE to get through by phone and get it dealt with.After I had a recall fix, I left and found that the blind spot alerts stopped working. Im still waiting three days later to get a response.

This was one of the worst visits I have had since I purchased my car here. When I was leasing the car, the dealership was trustworthy and only charged me for necessary maintenance, but now that I own the car it seems things have changed. I came in for one of tires having a small hole in it (this is the 3rd tire I have had replaced that had a hole in it since I got the car, I guess I have bad luck) and they tried to sell me4 tires saying that it was necessary at my current mileage 35000. I let them know I can only afford one tire and I just needed the one with the hole in it replaced. It seems they had tried to process the payment for 4 tires assuming I would agree, as it took them 3 and half hours to backtrack their paperwork and finally get my tire changed. They did very littleTo inform me of the mix up, as I had to walk up myself and ask them what was taking so long to Change a tire. The only reason I am not giving my visit one star is because they gave me a minor discount because of the mix up. This dealership has lost my trust for car repairs and will be taking my business to Goodyear or another repair shop in the future.

Absolutely the best car purchase experience ever!! If I could give them 10 stars I would!! I inquired about a car online and spoke with Ashton, he was terrific and very knowledgeable. He explained the process and then transferred me over to finance with Truman to complete the sale process. This didnt take long and they worked with me on every question or concern I had. They even got us a a lower APR then what we were pre-qualified for. The best part of this entire transaction was that it was all done virtually and in such a seamless manner. I fully expected to drive over 60 miles to pick up the car but instead they asked me when I wanted the car and they delivered it to me same day, on a holiday Friday afternoon nonetheless!! The entire process was exceptional, thank you Ashton and Truman for giving us the perfect customer experience!!

Where do I start? I have to say this was the hardest used car purchase I have ever made. And that says a lot, as Ive owned more than 20 cars in my life. From the start it just didnt go well. It took 3 days before they would discuss selling of the car. Then they were asking more than KBB fair market price. When I went to negotiate the price, they tried to stand their ground, saying the car needed more work than it did, (which would cost them more to fix). Once we agreed to a price I was told the car would be ready for pick up the next day. Needless to say, it wasnt. It was finally delivered at 6 PM on day 2. They did promise some additional services to make up for the delays. We will see how that goes. I wont hold my breath.

Ive leased then purchased my KIA from this group and have always been treated with respect, prompt response to concerns on safety while advising and being financially conservative to my best interests(8 years!). I feel like they are friends and family, have recommended their location and service to many. I was originally recommended to them by a longtime friend and successful business owner in San Diego who had visited many dealerships before choosing this KIA/ Ford dealership. Brought my car in and left it with Tony, who is who you NEED to ask for if you can, and I was so surprised at how helpful, and honest he was. Didnt call me to pressure me into changing the brake fluid or anything like that he just gave me a detailed printout of all their findings after our 2014 Sorrento went in for its 40k checkup and oil change. Excellent service and even let me have an extra day to pick up my car since i couldnt go the day i dropped it off.

I made an appointment for 12:00, arrived 6-7 minutes early. Although a very nice guy came up to the car within a minute to take our name, and then later he had to come check back to say our attendant was coming to check us in, we didnt get an actual service attendant to officially check us in until about 12:20 and that service attendant told us that he was standing in for our real scheduled attendant because our actual correct attendant was on his lunch break! In the mean time there multiple other cars being attended to with the owners getting out, walking away & their cars were being driven in as we just sat there waiting and waiting! Not a well organized Service Department! Dont give us a 12:00 appointment of your not going to meet that appointment due to your staff taking lunch when HE ACTUALLY KNOWS HE HAS OUR APPOINTMENT AT 12:00 AND LEAVES ANYWAY! POORLY RUN SERVICE DEPARTMENT!

I am disappointed in the service I received yesterday while purchasing my new car. I have leased my past two vehicles from Kearny Mesa Ford/Kia. However, I made the decision yesterday to purchase my next car instead of doing another lease. 1. I was told there wasn’t a leasing option for the car 2. I decided to commit to the car I really wanted. I originally came in that morning with my lease for an oil change. I decided why not take a look at the car and get info on the car I really wanted. I didn’t plan on deciding yesterday however I really loved the car and they only had ONE! It was exactly how I wanted it. My issue is the service I received. I honestly felt like just another number. Zero personalization, not really friendly staff and the gentle men who helped me had a very busy schedule. He also quoted me a number for Down payment we agreed on and got approved but once I signed paperwork it was a different price. Zero communication. There were other sales reps there with no clients that could have easily handled my purchase a little more welcoming rather than the service I received yesterday. I understand car sales are about business and number but the least you could do is make your buyers feel welcome. I will have to say Truman whom was our financial advisor was excellent. Very friendly and I appreciated his humor. After a long day of almost 8hours for the entire process. He made me feel some comfort and reassured our family excellent quality. I finally left with my new car, I am very happy with my car even though I didn’t get a test drive or even a walk through on details of my car. The process could have been a lot smoother and I would have preferred a different sales rep that wasn’t as busy and had time to actually converse with their clients. Zero dialogue, information on vehicle your buying is unacceptable. Just my thoughts.

Excellent experience! My girlfriend and I came to Kearny Mesa Ford/Kia to purchase a used vehicle for her. Initially, we did not have sufficient paperwork (first buyer mistake, no biggie!), however, both Ross and Ben were prompt in helping us expedite the process. Pre-Ordered my new Bronco Sport First Edition and chose them as my dealership, they were super communicative during the pre-order stage then once mine was built I was kept in the loop when it would be here. The sales associate that I worked with, Pam was absolutely outstanding, super helpful very knowledgeable about a brand new line of vehicles. The finance associate Truman was actually a pleasure to sit down with and talk the details on pricing. Very considerate and didnt try to tell me that I needed something for warranties and extras he gave me all of the details, told me what he recommended and let me decide without any pressure. I chose a different option to leave a message which I did. Week later and still no call. Taking my Kia to National City Kia now for service.

New engine placed in my car, warranty company required an engine with 12 month 12,000 mile warranty. I asked for the paperwork and the service tech quit and took it all with him. I contacted KIA headquarters and they emailed KIA Kearney Mesa and were told there wasnt a warranty on the engine??? Maxx in service told me I had to use a KIA oil filter when I do oil changes or it would nullinvoid the warranty. How is 1 saying there is a warranty and the other is telling had that there was no warranty. Still looking for my paperwork for the new engine. Got my car back, it was damaged and missing pieces, they are refusing to call back or take my calls.

We went in just to look around while visiting San Diego and left with a beautiful 2021 Sorento. We really liked the helpful people Kia. Mike the salesman knew so much about all of the cars and was so friendly but the info he gave us about purchasing vs leasing was very misleading. We were confident with our purchase and price until we got to the financing office and the terms and details were completely inaccurate. Veronica in financing was able to help us understand the details and she explained everything so thorough. She was very kind and so helpful. We love our car and really enjoyed the ease of buying but very disappointed in what we were told vs what the reality is of the Red Carpet Lease because it is not what is seems so be careful of that.

My service adviser, Sasha, is very professional and friendly. I told her that I would be waiting for my car. She initially told me it could be up to 2 hours. As I was waiting, she texted and told me if I needed anything to just let her know. She personally came and gave me an update after only 40 minutes or so. Then my car was finished within 1 hours time. I got my car back and it was washed also! I received very good service from this dealership! Much appreciated!!!

Daniel Sanchez was our dealer and we were very happy with him. He was not pushy, answered all of our questions and if he did not know the answer, he found out and got back to us. Buying a vehicle can be a long laborious experience, but it was not here. I hate giving up a whole day sitting in a dealership. We spent only 3 hours from the time we drove on the lot to leaving with a used, new to us, vehicle. My only complaint was the vehicle was not totally clean on the inside. There was Bobby pins, crumbs and “stuff” in the glove compartment and under the seat. Initially, we were told the fuel tank would be full, but it was only 1/2 when we took possession. Daniel immediately filled the tank while we waited only a short time. Again, he was awesome. Over all, we were happy with our experience.

I’d give zero stars if I could. Went shopping for a vehicle May 30th. Salesman came to non assist. After telling him what I was looking for he stated that he had to “check his inventory “After waiting for over 15 min, he never came back. I went into the building to inquire.After a few minutes I was approached by another salesman, however at that point, who wants to buy a car!I purchased a car there 3.5 years ago, service was fine, so we went back for car #2.Will never purchase from this dealership ever again.

Best Kia dealer in San Diego by far, I have gone to other Kia dealers in San Diego and I had really bad experiences, this is the second time I come to them and it has exceed my expectations, We basically did everything over the phone , Oswin went above and beyond to find the car I was looking for because there were so many specific details I wanted for my daughters car once I got to the dealer it was just signing the paperwork as easy as that, and we were on our way out, everyone super courteous. My husband and I had an appointment with Tach to look at a Sorento. As it turned out, they had a Stinger that my husband really liked and we ended up trading both our cars for them. Tach is knowledgeable, honest and straightforward. We felt super comfortable doing business with him and with Truman in the finance department. I took my Kia Niro in for its 1st oil change and evaluation. Everything was great. My service specialist, Eddie was friendly, personable and efficient. The one area I feel that needs improvement is getting people checked in. I had an 8:15 appointment time and I didnt finish the check in process until 8:45. I spoke with another couple who had a 7:45 appointment and were leaving the same time I did. Thankfully this was on my day off or Id have been late to work.

Very happy with my experience at Kearny Mesa Kia! Given the current demand of the vehicle I bought, everyone I dealt with was great, no pressure and I was happy with the the final negotiated price and interest rate. The sales manager even went up and above to assist me on an unrelated matter, which I greatly appreciate. One thing worth noting is that I decided not to trade in my current vehicle because KM Kia would only offer me $9K. I sold it a week later on my own for $14K.

Very easy transaction. Fred and Ed (Sales) were very patient and easy to deal with. The sales staff was not pushy and understood that I was purchasing a car for my girlfriend and had to make sure it was the right fit for her. They respected my time and helped me get a great deal. Finance manager took the time to walk me through all the details and was not in a rush to just get me to sign the paperwork. All in all another great experience from Sunroad Auto group. My sales team of Kahlil and Ed was awesome. If you call make sure to ask for Kahlil because I called and spoke to a guy that was NOT helpful but because I called he got credit for part of the sale. I wouldn’t have even come in if I didn’t live 1 mile away. I fought that and now Kahlil got “credit” because he help me with my car shopping. Not “upstairs sales guy.” Everyone has been very nice. If you are thinking about a Kia or Ford go check them out.

Welcome to Kearny Mesa Kia where the word appointment means more at a VA hospital. My man and I scheduled our Kia Optima and Forte to be serviced (simple oil change). Only for a simple oil change to take 3+ hours (with a clearly defined appointment). If an appointment isnt going to mean anything, dont let customers make them.The customer service is atrocious. The only descriptor I have for it is intense, and not the ask too many questions intense - more of the Im on my fifth beer type intense. Employees will input your info into an iPad only to have 5 more employees to ask for the same info. So not only does Kearny Mesa Kia waste their own time, theyre keen to waste your time too (imagine the wasted money all around!).The only redeeming factor about this place is employees are willing to let you know about available discounts and coupons which I greatly appreciate. This however, doesnt significantly make up for the incredible time sink this place is despite making an appointment.Give your money to a business that doesnt want to waste your time. It will be better on your cortisol levels - I promise.

My experience today went so much better than I expected!
