I booked an appointment with Jaylin after emailing for a quote on the tattoo I wanted. I have 6 other tattoos. Jaylin had done a similar piece before and therefore I was super excited to work with them. The deposit was $80. Jaylins style is amazing and was exactly what I was looking for. The front desk was super friendly and accommodating. They checked me in after I showed them my ID. Jaylin came by not long after to make sure they had drawn up what I had asked for.Jaylin was very accommodating after I had her move the stencil 3 times. They made sure I really liked where the tattoo was placed. They started with a smaller needle to make sure I was ok with the pain. There was a big tv to watch in the back area I was getting tattooed in. Jaylin had a bunch of different drawings on the wall that I would love to come back and get. The tattoo that should have taken 1.5 hours only took them 45 minutes. I was amazed at how fast Jaylin worked on my piece. They made sure I was OK throughout the tattoo and were soo friendly!The finished product is so beautiful. It is cute and detailed and fine and has a lot of character which is exactly what I was looking for! I am so so happy with how the tattoo turned out and will definitely be returning to visit Jaylin again. Such a talented artist!

My pals and I came down from Boise for a birthday weekend and decided to get some piercings and tattoos. SLC Ink is one of the best piercing places I’ve been. Raina was the BEST!!! I would recommend her any day to anyone! Fun staff and very professional. I legit almost passed out from a nose piercing bc of my stupid nervous system, but the staff helped me out and made me feel at home lol. Great price too!

Parking is nice theres spots for the customers, they even have a receptionist to check you in and out, and the place is super clean. Worst tattoo pallor in Salt Lake City. For my fist consulting appointment the guy never showed. After waiting for an hour they finally set me up with a different guy - Johny. I went and met with him and I was super stoked and I just felt great about the whole thing. I’ve been wanting this tattoo for 6 years. We planned something really awesome together. I made the deposit of $100.Well Johny quit and now they won’t give me my deposit back. They have set me up with a gift card but I just want my money back. I’m not getting a tattoo from the studio. It’s more then 30 days out from my original appointment (that they canceled). They said they would set me up with another artist but honestly none of them are what I’m looking for. I feel completely powerless. Please just give me my money back. To everyone wondering if you should get your tattoo here? Don’t. They won’t respect you as a human.Just want to give an update: the response to this review used to have my personal number on it. They posted that without my permission. They doxxed me. I am now getting phone calls for a free PS5 listing on KSL. Going to this studio has cost me $100 plus a bunch annoying phone calls and text messages. I can’t express my anger and frustration enough with how terrible this studio and owner are.I uploaded 3 screenshots documenting the behavior of this studio owner. Had the best first tattoo experience with Kristen! Seriously could not recommend a better artist or shop, I felt so at home and completely comfortable the entire time. Definitely will be telling everybody about her and coming back for more!

Do NOT get a tattoo from Layne!! I got a small flower bouquet on my bicep and within a few days the ink was completely blown out underneath my tattoo. At first I thought it was a bruise so I reached out to Layne. She told me it would go away within a week, which never happened, it got worse every day. When I texted her a few weeks later with my concerns again she ignored my texted messages. I also reached out to SLC ink, where they blew me off and told me to reach out again in 6 months. When i reached out again, no reply. No refund or anything. I had 4 different consults with other tattoo artists in SLC regarding it, and they all told me the artist pushed too hard, resulting in the ink depositing in my fat layer. I have other tattoos in sensitive areas that have healed great. I’ve had to spend $1500 to get it lasered off. I am very disappointed with my experience and would not recommend this place or artist.

I want to stress that this review is more directly towards a specific artist and not the shop itself. Ive been to both Raventhorn Manor and SLC Ink, theyre both lovely shops and the owner is great.I got several tattoos from Layne last year. Her space was clean and she was very friendly, however the lines on each tattoo are very shakey and one is still raised and developed keloids since she pressed to deeply. Its very upsetting to me and Ive consulted with several other tattoo artists to make sure I didnt mess up the healing process and they were all in consensus that she pressed way too deep resulting in damage to the tattoo and my skin which is now permanently scarred from it. I will not be returning to this artist in the future.

Jaylin was awesome. Everything was clean and professional especially with covid. She drew it up and had me in and out fast. The design was perfect, above and beyond what I expected. I wasnt sure exactly how I wanted it. Jaylin took the ideas and came up with something that far exceeded my expectations. Go see her. You wont be disappointed.

I am so upset with Jaylin and the lack of professionalism, I booked my appointment 3 weeks in advance because I am leaving the country, my tattoo was simple but meaningful to represent my grandma’s life (she is is dying from cancer) and I wanted her to see it before she dies, however my appointment got canceled 1 hour prior to the actual appointment, the excuse was “she was running behind”, I understand that things happen but there was no effort on her part to accommodate and respect my appointment.She refused to have a face to face consultation (I even booked that weeks prior too) she said “well your tattoo is pretty straight forward”, so overall she wasn’t respectful of my time or what I wanted from a tattoo artist.It’s sad to think that I’m giving a bad review over something I didn’t get because my time wasn’t respected, because my tattoo wasn’t expensive enough ($300) for her to accommodate her schedule.I will not recommend this shop and I hope they refund me my deposit as they have said because this was in no way my fault.

Jaylin was amazing! I got matching tattoos with my 2 best friends from her, booking her only a week out. She was responsive and added her own creativity and artistry to the idea we had. Im absolutely obsessed with the work she did and am already planning my next tattoo with her in mind.

This company makes you put money down to make a tattoo appointment - makes sense they want you to show up for the appointment. Here is where the rule doesnt make sense....they wont refund your money if the tattoo artist quits and you dont like any of the other artists tattoo styles. If you make a deposit for a specific artist they wont give your money back if that artist quits. Dont put down a deposit because you cant get it back if the company fails to keep that tattoo artist hired. Dont waste your time at this facility. The owner is not friendly

I had the honor to work with Jaylin, not only was she extremely professional during this pandemic nightmare but she was accommodating and communicative throughout the entire process. Most tattoo artists are doing online consultations and even so, Jaylin came up with something perfect. My sister and I got complementary tattoos and even though our appointment was booked in advance I was questioning some of my own ideas. Jaylin reworked them and adjusted the size and placement on both of us without hesitation. She understands the impact and of her work and designs them based off the needs of the customer. What I really appreciated was the amount of care and effort she puts into everyone, regardless of the size or cost. You have her undivided attention. I can’t wait to get a bigger piece done by her!

A little tucked away and hard to find, but only if you miss the big TATTOO banner out front like I did. Oops.This is a great shop and Im glad I chose Bre for my 3rd tattoo. The receptionist was friendly, the area clean. Bre is an AMAZING artist and seriously so gentle with the tattoo gun. A 3-ish hour tattoo and I almost dozed off a few times. Very happy and will be coming back--I already have SO many tattoos planned!The only suggestion I would have is to make the booking process a little easier, but it really wasnt that bad and Bre was more than happy to help me figure it out.

I got a tattoo here 2 years ago, but now is as good as any to leave a review. Allie B. tattooed my mom’s signature on my arm and did it with incredible efficiency, professionalism, and accuracy. I highly recommend her, but she has moved onto another shop.The staff was all pretty friendly, but the guy that owns it (Jake) is pretty awful. He creates fake accounts to try to hurt other businesses. He is very naive and childlike when interacting with clientele (look at literally any negative review).I would highly advise against putting money into this shop with such an unethical guy running the place. Reminds me of how boys behaved in junior high, unfortunately. Best of luck.

I absolutely hate my tattoo, did not notice until I left that my tattoo is not centered and is not straight. The worst tattoo I’ve ever received by an artist named Jaylin.

Came in on 8-16-20 and got a piece done by Jaylin. It is absolutely amazing and I love it. She is an amazingly friendly artist and very talented. The piece came out better than I had imagined. I would absolutely come back to get more work done here.

Keely is the most amazing artist. She did my first tattoos - handwritten messages from my grandparents and she did them thoughtfully and beautifully! Jaylin was awesome. She was able to squeeze me in and even texted me to let me know I could come in a little early. The work she did was exactly what I asked for and the extra added touches she did just made it that much better. She was also very professional and comfortable to talk to.

Ive been tattooed at this shop by artists doing a guest spot on three separate occasions and always think, I gotta book with Hans. Maybe soon. Everything he produces is incredible. The sister shop (Raventhorne) is rad too. Haunted as hell, in a good way. Theyve converted a lovely mansion into a cool tattoo space. Theres studios in the front room, with gorgeous natural light, hard woods and talented artists. Valerie has an eye for tiny details and an angels touch. She makes you very comfortable and is easy to chat with.

Ive had two 4 hour sessions with Taj, working on a custom piece. Both times Ive been impressed by her attention to detail, the cleanliness of the shop, and how much Ive enjoyed talking to her. The entire process from booking to payment was seamless. Ive gotten answers to any questions once asked, both before, during, and after.

I came in as a walk-in and I am really happy with my experience. I came with my tattoo idea drawn (pretty poorly, I am no artist... haha) and Brooks took my idea and totally perfected it. He was honest with me about size, placement, etc. which I appreciated. He was really nice and made me feel comfortable. I love the way my tattoo turned out, and I honestly couldn’t imagine it looking any better. The shop was really clean and the people at the front desk were super friendly.

The receptionist makes sure that you happy with what you want and is also really funny. Overall SLC Ink Tattoo is an amazing spot and if youre tatted up or just getting your first one, I fully recommend this place! And my second time was also amazing. My rose looks really good! They have the best line up of artists.

I wanted to get my 3rd tattoo and had been contemplating it for a little more than a year as i didnt know if anyone could do it how i wanted and was honestly pretty nervous just because the small detail was what made the tattoo. i booked an appointment with Jaylin and she KILLED IT. As long as i live in Salt lake i will be going back to her and recommending my friends and family to her. Had a great experience and am extremely happy with my tattoo!

I paid $20 for a consultation appointment in Oct 2019, scheduled for March 2020. COVID hit the week before the appointment and it got cancelled. They have since not rescheduled and told me I wont have an opportunity until 2021 at the earliest but they refuse to refund my $20. I understand no refund policies, but that should apply if you ACTUALLY GET TO HAVE YOUR CONSULTATION. I want my $20 back. Its such a joke that they would rather have an extremely negative review than refund $20 but I guess thats the kind of business this shop does.

This place is the best I’ve been to. The artists and receptionists there are super friendly and helpful. My artist was Deb and I absolutely enjoyed my time getting tattooed by her. She went above and beyond my expectations for the tattoo I was looking to get, very detail oriented and it fit the concept I was thinking of. Although this wasn’t my first tattoo, I was still nervous but she is just such a genuine and amicable person that my anxieties pretty much disappeared. She makes you feel right at home throughout the whole process. It’s great to know that there are super talented artists out there who are also personable. Definitely looking forward to my next tattoo with her in the future! ^_^

Nope. I got tattooed by Allie B a couple years ago at SLC ink(so good I followed her to Heart of Gold for a second one) The reviewer isnt mistaken, the owner Jake is lying because he likes to make up fake online accounts then say horrible things about people taking a knee. Allie is amazing and now works at Heart of Gold if you would like a tattoo shop that is transparent and high quality.

I just recently got my first tattoo done by lilly and it is beautiful. I’m so happy with her work and the experience. I got it done a week ago and seriously haven’t gone a single day without a compliment on how beautiful the tattoo is and her detailing. The place itself was very clean and nice + all the people were really friendly. I 100% recommend SLC ink tattoo (and Lilly!!) 🧡

I originally scheduled an appointment online with Johnyxart today at 2pm. I showed up on time and had to wait 20-30 minutes because he was working on someone else. He asked me to come back at 4 and I did. He still wasnt finished with this persons tattoo. I had to wait another 30 minutes before being told I had to go to a different location to get my tattoo done by someone else. Some money was taken off the amount of my tattoo but overall the beginning of this was absolutely horrible.The only good part was having Jaylin as my tattoo artist. Shes absolutely amazing and did amazing line work! I will definitely be scheduling with her from now on. I was in and out in about 30-45 minutes. She saved this experience for me today. So, I give her a 5 star rating, but would not recommend scheduling with Johny. Thank you for being amazing Jaylin!!

I got a tattoo from Hans in August. Hes AMAZING with his colors. Very unique style, he likes to make the art his own. If you just want a replica of someone elses tattoo, maybe choose a different artist. I came back the next day to have another quick tattoo. Hans ended up being available. It was the word Brat that he tattooed on me in his own handwriting (also extremely unique).

I got a 1/4 sleeve done by Lilly, and it turned out very well! She was really helpful in the consultation as well, suggesting tweaks to the design outside of what I had considered! I really appreciated her attention to detail and clear interest in this tattoo from design to execution!Highly highly recommend people give Lillys work a look!...Unfortunately, there were a couple of downsides with the shop. My first appointment was cancelled without my knowledge (allegedly due to a system error.)2 days before my rescheduled appointment, I was told the original artist was no longer available and I had to reschedule a second time with a new consultation.Having to reschedule twice was really annoying and inconvenient, but I am thrilled with the result of Lillys work!Would definitely go back!

I got a tattoo done on my shoulder by Ethan and we planned it over Instagram and he was able to fit me in when he had some free time and I am IN LOVE with the tattoo. He had the best designs I’ve ever seen and I would love to get tattooed by him again. Not only was the artist amazing but as soon as you walk into that tattoo shop it has such a welcoming vibe and I will definitely be coming back.

SLC ink has some ridiculously talented artists who are all very personable from my experience. I highly advise checking out either of their locations. I recently got tattooed by one of their guest artists Patrick at the Raventhorn Manor location and it was a wonderful experience. They also agreed to honor a deposit that got a little messed up a few years ago due to double booking, which to me shows that they truly care about their customers experience and happiness. :)

I am writing this review for a friend because I dont want her to face the harassment that this business is well known for giving its paying customers who had negative experiences here.At least one of the artists who works here uses what we suspect to be watered down ink. My friend got a tattoo here about 4 months ago and it faded to the point where you could barely see it. Thats no problem, I told my friend that can happen and she should get it touched up and the artist offered free touch ups. After about 2 months of trying to contact the artist and the business about getting a touch up, even offering to PAY for the touch up, they refused to respond and basically ghosted us. This forced us to go to a different, better shop to get it touched up.I would have given the business 2 stars because I can see that they do have some talented artists there, but then I looked at how the owner of this business responds to people who had negative experiences and was truly disgusted. I have never seen a business owner act more unprofessional, petty, and creepy to their own customers. Do not go here. The people who run this shop are bad people and will take advantage of you if you are unlucky. Go and read how they have responded to anyone who had a bad experience.

Awesome comfortable experience. Laura’s line game is on point!! I have some other tats with simple lines that are nowhere near up to par with her work. It was a simple walk in and I left with a perfect work of art on me.

Best tattoo shop I have ever been to, hands down. They not only have some of the most talented tattoo artists in Utah but the friendliest as well. No matter when I called or came in they were always very kind and genuine. The shop is definitely the best looking shop around town, you dont feel like your in a hospital room getting tattooed. The warm features of the shop really make you feel relaxed and excited to be getting tattooed. All together this place is fantastic and I will always go back to get tattooed here.

Waited two hours to talk to one of the artist. Told her wanted it on the top of the hand. She stated that she doesnt do hands. Despite having one herself. When politely asking why. I was ignored by her. The other lady answered and offered to schedule an appointment the next day. Lesson schedule a consultation with a rude hypocrite instead of doing walk-ins.

I was unsure about my tattoo at first but the owner Mike offered to do any touch ups I needed. He was very nice the whole time and made me feel very comfortable. This shop is great and has nice people. Thanks guys!

$150 for 10 min session. Good quality tattoo but sorry i wont be back for something this small. It took the artist a week to draw an outline when i was told it would be an easy walk-in visit over the phone. Plenty of other options for smaller tattoos.I also got a nasty message from the owner about this review. I think they might have some kind of mental issue if theyre going to insult a person that wrote an honest review. There are plenty of other great tattoo artists throughout the valley that would love your business.View the owners responses to the low star reviews on google. How professional. If I could give you 0 stars i would. They keep trying to get me to tell them who I am so they can exploit me like the other customers that left bad reviews. Sharing their customers confidential information on ksl due to a bad review. Suck it up guys you cant be perfect.

Shop was clean and very busy. I was lucky enough to get an appointment with Robyn and she did an amazing job. Made the entire process stress free and worked incredibly fast. She is an amazing artist whose work is detailed and beautiful. I would highly recommend Robyn and this shop. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!

From the time I walked in with an idea to the time I left everyone was so nice and accommodating. Charlie was super sweet and talked to me enough to settle my nerves. Jared...oh my gosh. I cant rave enough about this guy. He was so willing to take my daughters sketch and turn it into a beautiful rendition of her ideas. Laura does an amazing job! Ive gotten 2 tattoos by her. Her art work is stunning, and her ink placement is clean and clear. Im a couple of years out from the first tattoo she did and it still looks saturated and wonderful.

I had been wanting to get a tattoo for a while now, but i didnt want mediocre work done. A friend recommend this shop to me so I came in and met with Deb. The lady is a master. She exceeded my expectations and then some. The price was lower than I thought and I am very impressed with their work.
