I had my septum pierced today at KOI & it was such a great experience. The employees were covid conscious, extremely professional, patient & kind. The piercer was calm & explained every step as they went through the process. 10/10 best piercing experience Ive had (& Ive had many!) I would highly recommend them & would visit again in the future.

Koi has been my go-to piercing shop for the last decade. The piercers and front staff are so friendly and patient, never pressuring me to make a decision or to do something I’m not comfortable with. They help me make decisions on jewelry and talk it all through with me.They’re so good that when I moved to a different state I’ll still hold off on purchasing additional jewelry or another piercing until I’m back to visit.I went recently to get a new hoop for my conch piercing. They’ve moved to be appointment-only, which is an extra step but also drastically reduced the amount of time I had to wait to be seen. Personally I’d rather wear a mask for twenty minutes than wait in the lobby for 45.I really can’t recommend Koi enough. They’re professionals at all stages- from kids getting their first piercing to adults getting nipple piercings, they are top notch for everything.

Such a good experience! Cat pierced my daughters ears perfectly, they are healing up so well and she loves them! I am absolutely blown away by Michelle though. I am ridiculously particular and she was SO precise even when I was being picky about the placement of my second lobe piercings. She never made me feel bad or silly and even used calipers and triple checked that everything was perfect. I couldnt be happier, thank you!

While Ill recognize that I messed up and forgot about my appointment, what I really want to leave the review on is the awful customer service... When I first went to book my appointment, I was really struggling with the way the site was set up. The site wouldnt show me more than 2 days ahead even though I was selecting the next week, so I decided to call and see if I could get help in booking an appointment, or even seeing when their next available day was. The employee who answered the phone was extremely short with me and refused to understand that I was not selecting the day I called, I was trying to select next week. They said that they could not help me in any way and to keep trying the website. The only helpful information I got was that they were booked out to the next Friday. After leaving the site for a few days and coming back it did end up working, but that left a bad taste in my mouth. When it came time for my appointment, again, I did mess up. Id had a hectic day and forgot about the appointment until about 20 minutes after I was supposed to be there. I called to see what I should do and got the same employee who once again was incredibly rude, parroting the same theres nothing I can do, go to the website. Im out my $35 and theres nothing I can do about it, I know that, and I realize its because I didnt show up on time. Im not trying to change that at all, Ill take the L there. However, train your employees to have even a modicum of empathy, please. The employee who answered the phone was incredibly demeaning both times I had to talk to them, and even though Ive heard amazing things about this shop, Im going to be going elsewhere for my piercings. Honestly if the experience over the phone was better I would have rescheduled and spent another $35 but unfortunately that wont be happening. Just something to keep in mind I suppose.

Ive gone to Koi for a number of piercings, and their professionalism, care, and quality is second to none in the state—at least for my experience.Of the negative reviews Ive seen, they seem to all stem from assumptions made by the customers (of whom, it seems like none of them ever visited Kois very informative website) regarding how much time theyd have, last-minute alterations or requests, and/or complications to their expected experience due to the recent COVID unpleasantness.Koi has always been responsive to my questions, and whenever theyve had the ability/time to, have made accommodations for me.In short, check the website, review their details, and if after looking through their work and their policies, you feel like comfortable, COME HERE FOR YOUR PIERCINGS.

They are always so nice and well-informed, and they didnt try to up sell me on jewelry. Cat is very knowledgeable and professional, and she made me feel comfortable. I had my daith done by her two years ago and then my helix and lobes today and she was amazing both times! And I was very pleased to see them taking so much care to sanitize and keep their employees and customers safe. Definitely worth it!(I colored my hair yesterday, which is why everything is purple).

This studio is amazing with the added bonus of literally everyone there being really attractive (respectfully).All jewelry is high end and plant grade which is exactly what you want when getting pierced!Everyone was very kind and welcoming and the studio was super clean.

First of all Ill just say it... I got the PA. Obviously a bit nervous about the process, KOI is the only website I saw that even listed it and explained it. Now the piercing experience was exceptional! Michelle was so comforting and explained everything. She was very personable and made the entire experience a breeze. I will return for future piercings and recommend all the KOI.

The price to pierce is very reasonable, their jewelry is a bit pricey, but at least you know it wont get infected. My girls got their ears pierced. We had Deej do the piercing and he was so kind, polite, and patient with them! They didnt even cry he did it so well. Definitely recommend going there.

They do an awesome job! I’m happy with the way my septum piercing turned out.I was a little confused about the price of the jewelry, and at checkout it wound up being wayyyy more than I expected. Like they gave me the price for the ring but added on more later for the balls they put on as well. Overall $95 for the piercing and jewelry doesn’t seem totally unreasonable, but a little more clarity would have been helpful.

Absolutely love Koi ! I recently decided to get a few piercings done by Deej over the course of the last few months. I heard in the past piercings were by walk in only so I am super happy they now do appointments . Their policies are clearly stated on the website as well as the emails sent after the appointment is booked. Deej has done an excellent job on all my piercings and and is very professional. I also have very sensitive ears and their jewerly has never bothered them or caused an allergic reaction. Jewerly is a bit on the pricey side however is comparable to any professional piercing studio and well worth what you pay. Will definetely recommend Koipiercingslc.com to anyone 🥰

Take all the one star reviews with a MAJOR grain of salt. The jewelry prices are completely standard for implant grade jewelry and they have a very wide variety of options in all price points. And being upset they require masks is illogical, of all the places you would want to be cautious this is one. Im very happy to see them take sanitary/saftey precautions.I got 2 piercings done by Cat, my conch and a navel. SHE WAS PERFECT. She has the most calming energy and my overly anxious self was completely at ease. She explained everything that would happen and my aftercare very well. I will absolutely be back for more!

Very disappointed in customer service I did not know they had 2 doors it was rainy nobody answered the door I called no answer. Finally was able to connect next day they refused to reschedule me kept my deposit.

I had DeeJ for my belly button piercing and he did an amazing job. It has been two weeks since I had it done, and I’ve had exactly zero issues.One thing to keep in mind, if you’re worried about jewelry options, don’t be. They had plenty of colors and price points, and I walked out with a nice blue one.Everyone you ask will probably tell you to come here for a piercing, and for good reason. I was impressed from my initial appointment setting all the way through the procedure. You’re just not going to find a better place.

I loved getting my ear pierced here. I got my daith done. The piercer was super nice, she was experienced and nice enough to answer any questions I had. I will definitely come back. The jewelry selection was limited for brand new daith. Especially since I had to get a bigger hoop so my ear would swell over the earring. But overall I had a great experience and I love the earrings I was able to get and piercings.

Got my 3rd hole 🕳 done! I love this place because they are very professional, very safe, and FULL of knowledge! I saw Michelle and she was AWESOME and loaded me full of info and spent the time to adjust and readjust before piercing. She was also willing to basically put it wherever I wanted it and wasnt trying to control the placement to where I leave with something I dont like. Piercing was practically pain free and did hurt after with minimal swelling.

I loved how easy it was to book my appointment online. Upon arrival all the staff were friendly and attentive to myself and others entering. I had Jade do multiple piercings in both of my ears and she was super nice and patient (even when I started feeling woozy halfway through). The jewelry they offer is also super cute but it is pricey so just be ready for that but it is definitely worth it.

My 5 year old daughter had her ears pierced with Michelle. She was amazing with my daughter. Explained everything clearly. Even went as far as to let my daughter know that it is her body and it will be up to her to let Michelle know when she was ready and that she can stop at any time. I loved the emphasis on consent! She was very precise when it came to ear placement and measured several times to make sure they were even. She was focused on keeping everything sterile.

Ive been going to KOI since I was 14 or 15, when I got my first lip piercing. I remember the counter staff being kind of rude back then, but theyve since gotten new people, and theyre so much better (Im 19 now). They all have really good and empowering energy and I love interacting with them. It feels so rad to walk in, tell them what you want, and be replied to with a hell yeah!. The piercers are very professional, the jewelry is beautiful, and the studio is very clean and you can tell they take their practice seriously. Im gonna miss this place when I move! I couldnt recommend them any more.

Ive been pierced a total of 7 times here, and each time was really easy and well done. The staff always makes me feel comfortable and calm before getting pierced. They even asked for preferred pronouns on the paperwork, which I appreciate as a nonbinary person. i hope they start doing lip piercings soon so I can get my snake bites done!Update: I just got both my nostrils pierced by Cat, and it was a great experience as always. She made me feel super comfortable and made sure the piercings were nice and symmetrical. I love them sm and I cant wait to come back

Ive been to Koi a few times over the years and every time it has been a great experience. They are extremely thorough with their disinfecting processes and always make sure youre happy with what they are going to do before they do it. I have tried to schedule online and the website said the appt. Was taken when I was trying to pay. So I try to go by and make an appointment lady inside standing there clearly could be seendidnt want to answer when I was calling to see about scheduling an appointment.

I got my seven year old daughters ears pierced here. Michelle pierced her ears. She was so patient with my nervous daughter. She explained everything she was going to do, she told her there would be no surprises. Most importantly, she told my daughter that it was her body, so my daughter was in charge. If she needed a break, that was fine. Michelle patiently waited until my daughter said she was really ready. She never rushed her.The whole thing (piercing both lobes and jewelry) cost about $120. The piercing was only $30, the rest was the jewelry cost, which was more than I had anticipated. I had called before hand and they told me that jewelery starts at $30. I didnt realize that was per earing, not per pair.

Amazing! I did just a second love piercing with Caterina. She was so wonderful. She would explain what she was doing while she was doing it which was extremely helpful because Im not the greatest with needles. It didnt hurt as much as the punch ones you would get in like Walmart. She explained everything with cleaning and new studs after and gave me a card with all her info, the piercing info, and her number on it so I can text if I have any questions. She did amazing and I love it so much.My mom got a diath and she says her head already feels different. She did wonderful at keeping us informed and calm throughout the process.

This place is great! It is clean. The staff is professional. They have a huge selection of good quality jewelry. We got there right as they opened their doors, and were able to pick out our jewelry and change our piercings within a half hour. However, the place was packed and people getting a piercing had a 1 hour wait. Plan ahead, but it is worth the wait.

You also have a very confusing experience as it is not clearly posted that you are running an appointment only business model. I love Jade! I came in to get both nipples pierced. (For the first time 😬) Jade was super professional and nice. I immediately felt less nervous when she talked with me. She took the time to explain each step before it happened. It hurt pretty bad but Jade made it fun! I love them!! Her care instructions were super simple and she offered herself as a resource if I needed it. The price was great for what you get! It has been 7 weeks. They look great. No problems what so ever! This review is hard because we had a good experience in the studio but about a week later my daughters helix/cartilage got super infected. She was asked to send pics to her piercer & she did. Catarina responded looks fine! It wasnt! We ended up having to cut the earring out because her ear was so swollen. Ive shown the pics to other people & they could see it, dont know why she wouldnt take the time to check her ear & see if it was just the jewelry thats all we asked.

Ive gotten both my lobes and new single helix pierced at Koi, and was impressed with their customer service each time! They adhere to strict social distancing guidelines and mask use policy. A bottle of hand sanitizer is at the ready on the reception counter.The piercing artists are very friendly and professional. Before they touch anywhere that you cant see, they always tell you what theyre doing and whats coming next, leading to an easy procedure thats over in minutes. Its a friendly and supportive atmosphere where you can feel safe.After the procedure, you are free to check out the new jewelry and ask all the questions you want. They send you off with a business card and their number for you to text in case you have questions about the recovery or anything else down the road. I would definitely recommend Koi to friends looking to get their next (or first) piercing!

Got 2nd and 3rd lobes on both ears. $34 per jewelry piece (x4) and then $45 piercing fee. $181 total. I just picked cheaper titanium posts and got them anodized to look yellow gold. Deej was super nice and redid two of the piercings because I was being so picky about spacing and location. only complaint is a long wait time at the front. I think I waited about 20 min for my appointment to start beyond the time I booked it for.took away a star because I called back to get advice about jewelry and the girl that answered was so aggressive on the phone once she realized it wasn’t jewelry I bought from them and didn’t intend to pay them to change it for me.

I had a piercing with Michelle and jade. They both did amazing, and I had a great expierience. Very professional and very polite and even some good laughs.

I have gotten 11 piercings here (4 that cant be discussed in polite company) and have never had a bad experience. Theyre very professional and the jewelry is really high quality. Ive had my Industrial and eyebrow for about 10 years now and still have the original jewelry in them. There can be a bit of a wait and the waiting area is tiny, but I would still highly recommend coming here for anyone wanting a piercing or if you have any questions.

Long story short, we had to take out her original earrings in order for her ears to heal from such a bad reaction. So this time around, we decided to invest in a professional piercer and professional experience and we are never going back to piercing guns! Our piercer Deej was so great and good with kids. He made our daughter so comfortable and the process was so quick and painless that she didnt even realize it was done until he told her guess what, your ears are pierced. I highly highly recommend Koi and I highly recommend Deej if you are taking in your child!

COVID-19 based review. I am a returning customer. The current process with scheduling and limiting the amount of people in the studio went very smooth for me. I have appreciated the level of sterilization the studio has had in the past and they have done an excellent job at adapting to the current conditions. All the staff were very friendly and my piercer Jade was smooth and gave me great advice for my piercing.

Staff was great and friendly 4 stars is only because they were pretty limited on ear rings. The first option my daughter picked out they didnt have in stock. Only recommendation would be to only show options you have available. Will definitely go back though for the great service
