I was super impressed with the environment they bring when you get a service done. They were very patient with me while I was deciding what to do as far as type piercing and type of metal to choose. They answered all my question and educated me so much on the process and how things work and what the piercing can do for you. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. This place is not like your typical piercing shop. I also loved how sanitary they were with everything and how you get shown the supplies are sterile that they use for your service. So glad I chose them to do my second piercing ✨

They are on the pricey side from what Im use to, but like anything else, you get what you pay for. Theyre products are quality & their employees know what they are doing.This place has a nice aura to it & all of the staff are friendly. I went to Courtney my first time, who is amazing & has a lovely spirit and Mitchell the second time, who is just as amazing. I also love that they give you these cards that tells your Chakra, stones & oils that goes along with the type of piercing youre getting. Ive been there twice now to get different piercings & this is the only place I will continue to go to.

We LOVE Abyss!!! Courtney has been gauging my daughters ears for about 6 months, and I have never met a piercer who plans for the final look so well! My daughter started with two ears we had pierced at a mall jewelry store when she was tiny, and one of the holes was really low. Instead of using her existing hole, Courtney re-pierced her ear, and when we finally got to her goal size 0, it was PERFECT.Now Im sad we dont have any appointments scheduled... I may have to look at getting a couple piercings just to go back!

I love how patient Courtney was in helping us with our jewelry selection. We did not feel rushed or pressured. There was a great selection of jewelry to choose from in every price range. I appreciated that Courtney went over the pricing of everything prior to being pierced. There were no surprises when we checked out. I have always gone to the same place for piercings and thought I would never change that. After coming to Abyss just to switch out my post for my nostril piercing…Abyss is now the place I will be going for all my piercing needs from now on! I felt very welcome and like the employees (both the person who greeted me upon arriving and my piercer…unfortunately I can’t remember their names) actually wanted me there. It was a much more personable experience than I had ever had at other shops in the area . All my questions were answered thoroughly and I left extremely happy. Ive been to almost every piercing shop in the Salt Lake valley and this is the ONLY place Ive gone that was super sterile, clean and pierced straight. They were so friendly and helpful. I changed my mind on the jewelry I picked for my piercing the day after and they were so kind and got me right in to swap it out. Their jewelry was absolutely beautiful and high quality!

Wow!! I just got my septum pierced by Mitchell and it was such a great experience! He was very thorough about explaining the process and sensation, and was very kind! He was very friendly and really eased my nerves. My jewlery had a bit of trouble, but he was helping me through it the whole way and we got it in!I absolutely love abyss; both times Ive been pierced there have been wonderful experiences! The atmosphere is so comfortable and calming, and all the employees are friendly, attentive, kind, and knowledgeable! Theres no other place Id rather go for my piercing needs :^)

I would not recommend. You have to make an appointment just to purchase a replacement stud, which is information only available when you show up in person. They should publish this policy on their website and other visible locations. Will not return.

Me and my two friends went into abyss the other day all to get pierced and it was the best experience! Mitch was the one who pierced us all and the general consensus when we left was that he was the best piercer any of us had ever been to. I’ve been to quite a few different shops in the valley but never have i felt more welcomed! The prices are standard for a high quality shop, Mitch was super kind and conversational, and the receptionist was such a doll! Overall amazing place to go!

I had the best daith piercing experience with Matt! This was my first cartilage piercing and Matt explained to me the entire time what he was doing and why and what I would feel. I felt completely safe and cared for. Matt even told me the story of how the daith piercing came to be which made the piercing that much more special. Ive been here twice. Got an industrial with Courtney and did a triple helix with Matt. Both piercers are BEYOND professional and do everything they can to make you comfortable during your piercing. I absolutely love this place. Originally I wanted to come to Abyss but they were fully booked. The next day I tried another walk-in place but to no avail since they were so packed and the waiting time was 2.5 hours. I called Abyss to tried my luck again and they had an appointment right at that time for me. The atmosphere was completely comfortable and calm, no rush at all and Paige walked me through everything from the sterilizing process, how would she put the jewelry in, how would I feel for the first pinch and the actual piercing. They will also explain about the chakra point for the piercing. After this I don’t think I will ever do walk-in studios again just because of the experience they give you while paying almost the same amount of money, no waiting in a room of full people putting your name down a list, no rush and especially super professional (not saying that other places are not professional). I had my conch pierced this time and thinking about getting a helix piercing. I would definitely love to come back to Abyss, only need to remember to call in, set an appointment and I’m all good on my way.

The Mrs. and kiddo got piercings here and were very pleased! They took the time to line up lobe piercings and calculated for appearance with face structure. Way better than getting a piercing gun randomly shot at you. The Daith piercing was done very nicely and the piercings were done in a clean sterilized environment. Completely recommend even with the higher prices. Maybe I will go in for a brow piercing.

10/10 would get pierced again. I had my conch pierced by Paige, and she was amazing! I was a little nervous, but Paige walked me through everything before she did it- making the whole process transparent and comfortable. She was so sweet/ patient through my entire jewelry selection (I’m fairly indecisive, and it took a fair amount of time.) Courtney, the owner, was also present during my visit and was sweet and personable, as always. Abyss is beautiful and extremely sanitary. They enforce a strict face mask policy, which I very much appreciated.

Tried to contact by messager, text and phone calls but no one returned my calls, we went there and found out you have to have an appointment plus they only help the vaccinated customers.

Extremely professional and accommodating. Went to get dermals removed and everyone was so incredibly nice. Dont listen to the bad reviews - yes, you do need to put a deposit down in order to make an appointment (mine was $10) and yes, you technically wait outside but that is only because of COVID. I arrived 15 min earlier for my appointment and they gave me a card for a free coffee at the coffee shop next door so I could wait there (how awesome is that?!). I couldnt recommend them enough. Will be coming here to get my jewelry from now on!

Went in to buy couple earrings and they gave me wrong size after I needed help with sizing. Just realized when I went to change my jewelry it don’t fit. Expensive jewelry for something that I can’t do nothing with.

I had such an amazing experience at Abyss Body Piercing! I went in for second earlobe piercings (my first ever piercing as an adult) and was nervous about the pain and how it would look, but Mitch and Courtney made me feel super comfortable from start to finish. I got my nose pierced out of state, but I and had been waiting for it to heal to switch to a hoop. They were clean, quick, and knowledgeable. They gave me a good size hoop that was snug, but not so snug it would start slicing through my nose. This was super important to me, because I don’t know much about piercings. So I put a lot of trust into piercers to not do something that would make my piercing look bad (or to not let me make a stupid decision either). I will definitely be back for any new future piercings or jewelry:)

Firstly, I want to say they rock with protocol for COVID. Appointment only, hand sanitizer as soon as you walk in along with temperature, and I saw them cleaning as well. Secondly, the two women who helped me were amazing! Professional, helpful, and knowledgable. I was able to find the perfect jewelry for me, and it was a very smooth and easy process.

Loved my experience at Abyss. Prior to making an appointment with them I spent a lot of time researching a good piercing studio. Due to COVID theyre currently booking by appointment only, but its super easy to schedule an appointment with them via phone. Everyone I met was super professional and friendly and they had the appropriate measures in place to help prevent the spread of COVID. My piercer was the owner, Courtney Marriott, and she was phenomenal. I could feel her passion for her work and knew I was in good hands throughout my appointment. I left with a thorough understanding of what to expect throughout the healing process and a better understanding of chakras. I believe Ive found my new go-to piercing studio. I know Ill definitely be back!

I have gone to Abyss twice. My first piercing was my septum and the second was my conch. Both piercings were done by Matt. The studio is beautiful and clean. I have visited Abyss piercing twice and both times Ive had the good fortune of working with Matt. The first time I went was for a lobe piercing about 3 years ago. Just a lobe but Matt treated it like the significant thing it was. Abyss is the best piercing studio I have ever visited. They staff are always so kind and caring and are both professional in their work but also feel like close friends. They make you pay a deposit and then they made me wait outside in 100 degree weather for 27 minutes after my scheduled appointment to the point I just eventually left.
