The meat quiche was really great. So big that it was indeed enough for one person (or two). The latte was nice, too.

My Mocha Latte and breakfast sandwich were a delight. Who I think was the owner was very pleasant, if Im in the area again I will definitely come here again.

Drip coffee tasted awful. Tried espresso and couldn’t drink it at all. It had a super sour flavor and a smell of over burned coffee beans. The special veggie breakfast burrito was great - fresh ingredients, gently cooked and nicely served.

Loved the coffee. Atmosphere is really relaxing and the staff is absolutely wonderful. You can tell that the jam is fresh! Just fix those potatoes! Thank you!

The food and the feel of this place made me feel like I escaped work for a second. I ordered biscuits and gravy, with a hot chocolate. My order was up in less than 10 minutes. I’d go back if it was the only place near me or when I have a taste for biscuits and gravy. Delicious!Went back again for lunch on 3/26/2018.The potatoes were phenomenal! Very quick service again.

Highly recommend love this place. The exterior is clean and well kept, but easy to miss (No Open Sign in the huge window that faces Capital mall). The coffee, granola scone and breakfast offerings were great. Peanut butter and honey was satisfying. Had a few bites of the chorizo egg sandwich and it was delicious. Nice outside seating area.

Very friendly staff. Helped me decide on the smoked salmon spinach salad with strawberries, feta cheese, and lemon poppyseed dressing. It was so yummy. Dressing rivals the same at Angus Barn in Raleigh, NC. Blackberry cider on tap was good too. Salad was ready just about the time I sat down. A great place to pass some time in Sacramento.

Very nice addition to Old Soul. Convenient for quick meeting over coffee. Outdoor seating area a big plus. Coffee is always great. As is the food. Would be a 5-star except parking isnt the most convenient if you are going just to Old Soul. Perfect location for those in neighboring high rises.

I dont generally write reviews, but I had to share my experience at Old Soul on Capitol Mall from this morning. I (thought?) ordered a veggie breakfast sandwich and coffee and I was brought a regular veggie sandwich and salad. I was disappointed, but if I was unclear, well thats my own fault. So I was going to eat half of the sandwich and save the rest for lunch. But the nice person (manager, maybe?) who saw my acute disappointment made me a veggie breakfast sandwich and gave it to me along with a box to take the other sandwich. I was so touched by this gesture, especially since it was probably my fault to begin with. Old Soul has earned my unswerving loyalty forever. Thank you to the staff there for being so nice and always looking out for the clientele! Oh yeah, and their food and coffee are really great also :-)

Great location if walking, friendly service. Food menu has good variety. Quiche specials change often and are consistently excellent. Coffees are delicious, espresso is toward the chocolate/fudgy end of the spectrum - not on the acrid/tobacco end. Very enjoyable.

Stopped by here the other day on my way to work and Im not sure that it was what I expected. Ive been to the other Old Souls which were great but this one Im not sure of. The coffee seemed a little too original and the barista that took my order wasnt too kind. Others might have better experiences, but mine wasnt too great.

Its so appetizing. Looking forward to a return trip. Bring your hunger - portions are large. Kinda of like a place in Houston that I enjoyed.

I had a cousin come into town and asked me to take him back here. It has a great interior. This place has many good reviews for a reason.

Great coffe and food spot. Great location on Capitol mall with beautiful water features outside where there is outdoor seating as well as inside with comfortable longs seating. I did not try any food on my visit except for pastries and dessert which were delicious especially after they warmed them for me. Lots of drink options, I had a vanilla latte which was perfect with a single shot of espresso. Loved the mugs they came in you can have the option of having it in a takeaway cup also.

The Mac and Cheese Please! I could eat it every day.....but I want to not gain a bunch of Happy weight haha! They have a good selection of salads, too. But, they don’t have call in orders, so it takes a while.

This is a purist coffee shop. They also offer food in the mornings, the breakfast selection is limited but tasty. I recommend this place when you dont want to walk through the seedier areas of town to get to coffee shops like Temple or Starbucks.

Had a cup of the brewed premium Ethiopian coffee and it was very nice. My son tried a chocolate croissant which of course I had to steal some of and it had good flavor. Nice interior design and chill atmosphere.

We had the most wonderful coffee here, served beautifully and artfully, especially tasty! The outside seating next to the fountain was nice but there is plenty of seating indoors!

My favorite weekend coffee spot! Same great coffee and food as the other Old Soul locations. On the weekends its pretty much empty and theres tons of parking available on the side street. I havent been here on a weekday when I would assume its way busier due to the proximity to the Capitol and downtown office buildings. Love their mochas, tea selections and PB cookies, but everything is good. There is only one barista running register and making drinks, but its never been crowded when I go, so service is still relatively quick.

Went there this morning around 9:30am. Place was closed, even though the sign at door and website says they open at 7:00am. A staff person or owner was unlocking the door, when I asked if they were opening he was rude and dismissive.

Their breakfast sandwich is delicious and you can taste everything in it unlike the other guys.Also, staff is really friendly.

My girlfriend and I went for brunch on sunday. The quality of the food was unbelievably horrible. She ordered the biscuits and gravy. The biscuit was burned hard and black. I ordered the omelet. The potatoes were so oversalted they were inedible. The cashier was nice and exchanged them. But it was unbelievable the kitchen sent such obviously bad food to the customers. ..we will never eat there......m..m....again.
