The people and service at this local Midas are beyond amazing. Fast, reliable, and the attention to detail for the smallest things is perfection. I have never been told once to purchase something that wasnt crucial to the life of my vehicle, and they have helped me find other shops when they were over booked. I cannot recommend the team here enough.

A couple of months ago, I was stranded an hour from home and they were kind enough to help me, even though it was the end of their work day. They stayed open extra time to make sure my massacred tire was replaced and balanced out. Awesome service.

I recently went there with a issue I had with my car turns out to be a lot bigger issue than we thought. They took great care of me and worked with my warranty and gave me a really good deal. The service I received here was fantastic. I had failed an inspection and needed a purge valve. I only had a short amount of time to get it done. I was in and out in about a half hour and only charged for the part. I drove the car for 3 days, took it back to get reinspected. Although I had originally gone to Valvoline, Midas did the reinspection for free. I have very little knowledge of cars but the manager/owner was more than happy to explain everything to me so I had a better understanding of why the part was important and why it affects the emissions. Between the low cost of the repair and the interactions I had with the employees, the whole experience was very positive. I will be going to Midas from now on.

Rick and his team do a great job and always very helpful for me. He keeps me constantly up to date with any issues I might have in my 2010 impala. They have even been kind enough to let me borrow a lug wrench to get a flat off my car one day while I was parked next door. They fixed the tire cheap and I was on my way. Only place Ill go if I need to.

Dont waste hundreds by going to the dealership like I did. These guys know their stuff and are the most honest folks around.

Very honest and reliable place to get your car repaired. Rick is very helpful and knowledgeable. You really come know how honest a mechanic is when you have to go back to them after they repair your car. I took my car in and the part that was installed turned out to be faulty (although OEM) as you cant tell unless you install it. I went back to them after driving my car for 2 weeks, told them and they were very helpful and replaced the part for me although the labor was very expensive and didnt charge me a penny. Take your car here with confidence. Thanks for an awesome service guys. I would give them 6 stars if I could.

Midas found and repaired a significant amount of damage to my front end caused by faulty work from a repair shop in Rochester. They fixed everything to proper specifications and did it quickly. The Rome Midas just isnt for oil changes and other basic maintenance. These guys really are skilled and really know their stuff.

Had an emergency, my muffler was hanging down. They got me right in and fixed it lightening fast, they even let me charge my phone while I was waiting. Thanks guys! Ill be back for sure :)

This is a great location. I travel all over the sate of NY and I will only have my car worked on at this location. The Store Manager is very engaged with his customers and has a great personality. Had basic oil change and nys inspection done. Rick and the guys were very quick at getting my vehicle into the shop. They gave me a list of manufacturers recommendations. Preformed ONLY the work I came in for. Great staff and overall good experience. Will be coming back for future automotive repairs.

I have been going to this Midas Muffler on Black River Blvd, in Rome for at least 20 years.The service is always amazing the staff always polite and knowledgable. I know I can depend on Rick and the Midas staff for the correct diagnosis and care of my vehicle. A while back Rick signed me up to receive emails so I could take advantage of coupons and specials and I do. He also talked up the Midas CC which comes in quite handy, I can use it as a gas card too. Thanks guys its good to know I have people like you I can always trust.

This company is a scam job they overcharge for pretty much every single thing that they do they take forever to get it done and when you set an appointment for 4, expect to be there for at least four to six hours no matter what it is including an oil change get prepared to walk around the Plaza because youre going to have to fill your time with something Rick is probably the most obtrusive person I have ever met do not like working with him and yet he is always there I will not go back ever theyre 25% more in price and 30% worse in service than anywhere else Ive ever been including Walmart

I have been going to this MIDAS for over 30 years. Rick Lyman and Dean operate the business and are great. They are always friendly and upbeat with great honesty and integrity. I have never felt overcharged nor do they recommend unnecessary repairs. I take 3 of my family cars to MIDAS to be serviced. On multiple times Rick and Dean have diagnosed and repaired difficult problems on a short notice. It is the employees and service which make this MIDAS my first choice for auto repairs.

This place has free WiFi and I just cant believe that the waiting room dont have any outlets for the customers to use. where do you charge your cell ? any where you go that is always available but not here is a shame that you may sit there 2hrs and you dont have a way to charge the battery to your phone...get some outlets out there MIDAS..👎

I have been going to Rick and the guys for over 20 years. Many cars later, I am just as satisfied and happy with the service and the friendly people as ever. I was there today having my oil changed, and my daughter was there at the same time having tires put on her car. While we were there, a woman who had an appt. for tires, came in. After about a half hour, she was pacing outside, and kept asking them how much longer, because she had a meeting to go to. She was not very nice, and was getting to be very short with Dean and Rick, and I felt so bad for them. I wanted to say to her, Why would you make an appt. for your car, when you had another place to be??? They were so polite and professional to her, explaining to her how bad her car was, and why it was taking so long. They gave her the option of just putting it back together without an alignment, so she could leave, but she opted to have it all done. I cant say enough about the people there, and I have sent many friends there, all of whom are satisfied! So kudos to Rick and his great group of guys for being the BEST!!!!

The Staff and the service provided was first rate! Evan after the work was done, I had an unrelated problem about an hour after I left the shop and returned to see if they might be able to help. They were more then happy to assist with helping me to find and replace a defective part I had purchased on my own several days before my appointment with them. It took there team less then fifteen minutes to locate and install the correct replacement part. They have a more knowledgeable staff then NAPA Auto Parts store. Vary professional staff and there prices were extremely reasonable. I will be taking both my vehicles back to this Midas in the future for any repairs needed. I highly recommend them and trust them to do the job right and at the right price too! I will be telling all my friends about them as well.

We had a brake problem come up on my mothers vehicle while we were visiting her from out of town. We took her vehicle here while we ate near by. They found the problem while we ate and than fixed it very fast after that. When the staff person took it out for a test drive after fixing it and I noticed that the brake light was out on the passenger side. They took the vehicle back in and changed the light without a issue. The staff was very friendly, honest, helpful, and courteous. My mother was impressed with the service and will be using them as her service station.

My daughter, a college student, took her Toyota in to Midas for an oil change. They told her the vehicle had a myriad of problems and presented her with a quote of nearly $3,000! Yes, shes blonde. But she wasnt born yesterday. The vehicle has had excellent service back home, and although old with plenty of miles, not only did it need $3,000 worth of repairs, but if she had that kind of money, shed be driving a newer model. I think these guys were taking advantage of her inexperience as a car owner. :-(

Went in 2 weeks ago to get an oil change and my tires rotated and get a couple other things looked at. I usually go to the midas in Whitesboro but needed to go here because I was on my way to Syracuse. Well last night I was driving home and my stearing wheel started shaking a lot. I pulled over in the dark and looked at my car the best I could. The wheels were all lined up, there wasnt anything hanging from my car so I pulled back onto the road with my 4 ways. About 15 seconds later my front left tire falls off causing damage to my car and I had to skid to the side of the road. I plan on calling on Monday but Im sure nothing good will come of it. This shouldnt happen 2 weeks after a tire rotation.
